Best things to do in Ridgefield

Art Museum
“Most New Yorkers overlook Connecticut’s only contemporary art museum, but it’s an easy and worthwhile day trip. The building, a former barn, was renovated into a contemporary museum that’s painted white with wood accents. It has two floors of gallery space dedicated to boundary-pushing exhibitions, and it overlooks a two-acre sculpture garden. The Aldrich is worth repeat visits. Because they are a non-collecting institution, their program is always changing. Some recent hits have been Virginia Overton, Steve diBenedetto, and Nancy Shaver.”

“18th century historical building and museum tour. Highlight is British cannonball lodged in wall from 1777.”
