Food scene in Russian River

New American Restaurant

“For fancier (and pricier) fare, Boon Eat + Drink offers consistently good farm-to-table California cuisine. I love their burger - it's the cheapest entree on the menu, but will not disappoint! ”

“Take the coastal drive to this amazing restaurant where the Russian River meets the Ocean. On the way to Stinson Beach take a short 4 mile detour to gawk at the 180 degree view at the summitt of Mt. Tam then come back & keep going to Stinson Beach, Tomales & Bodega Bay. Return via Russian River/ Guerneville to Hwy 101 & SF to make an epic day loop. Locally sourced fine dinning, non pretentious service & the best view!”

“Pub up front, family friendly dining room in the back. You can usually come here to watch the game or hear live music. Locals and out-of-towners mix easily. Can get really crowded during rodeo days! Standard pub fare of burgers, fish n chips, etc. Local music in the bar on Fridays. ”

“Quintessential Sonoma eats: local farms inspire their “rustic” menu including buttermilk fried chicken. They opened five years ago and have been getting rave reviews. Casual setting, but reservations recommended. Closed Tuesday -Thursday. ”

“We bring all our friends here! It’s a 30 minute drive along river road to the coast, offering fantastic views of the river along the way! Cafe aquatica is on the Russian River estuary, so often there are seals swimming around and wonderful bird life to see. Once you have filled your belly at cafe aquatica, it’s time to venture up or down the coast for a stunningly beautiful beach day! ”
