“One of the best places for seafood. May be crowded during high season. This is in fact my favourite place in San Pedro.”

“Here is a very large production of sea salt from Mar Menor and huge groups of flamingos eating shrimps in the very salty ponds. Try the healthy mud bath which is public but leave the mud on the side of the pier where you covered your body with it. Many restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream bars in the area.”

“ENGLISH BELOW. Some people prefer Italian food, and this one is across the street from Red Rose, and is called El Rincon Italiano .. Many guests here, but when you eat Bolognese etc you have to be prepared for the "original recipe" - with a lot of cream.

“ENGLISH BELOW. Here are two things; a hotel, plus a Thalasia center. At the center, local authorities have made maximum efforts to provide a wide range of spa and wellness services. Well worth a visit, within walking distance of the accommodation.

“San Pedro has a really informative visitors centre where you can learn all about the regional park that is made up of the sand dunes and salt marshes. A stop at the marina is a must before visiting the mud baths at nearby Lo Pagan. The mud baths are free to use, which is great news if you have a large family to keep occupied. Everyone can try the mud baths, but only the truly hardy indulge during the winter months. Simply walk down the steps, cover yourself with the therapeutic mud, said to be good for all types of skin complaints, aches and pain, dry off in the sun, then re-enter the water to wash it all off! The salt marshes and mud baths form a fantastic circular 12 kilometre cycling or walking route. Start at the visitors centre and walk to the mud baths, then follow the path out into the Mar Menor towards the buildings on the La Manga Strip. Keep to the raised path or the beach as it curves around to the marina at San Pedro and finally past the salt lakes back to the visitors centre.”

“ENGLISH BELOW. Just next to the Italian, there is an English pub. It's called Bar Amigo, so not a very English name. There you get everything you need in such a place, including all English football. Right next to the English there is a small supermarket - Chinese - that seems to be open at all times, and you can supplement with what you are empty of in the fridge.

“ENGLISH BELOW. Red Rose is my favorite Indian restaurant run by a family. They are friendly and have a short wait for the food. Just over 20 € for a meal with many dishes and drinks. Just a short walk away.
