Places to stay in Sandy
Sandy's first and only Tiny House! Although this home is located just a mile from Hwy 26 within Sandy's city limits, it's located on a private 23 acres, so you'll feel completely secluded. This makes it the perfect place to stay while visiting the Mt. Hood area. The tiny house was built to capture the amazing view of Mt. Hood. The home was designed around a moving window wall system that completely opens to the outdoors allowing for one of the best views of Mt. Hood. We hope you enjoy!!!
This is the first and only Tiny house in the Sandy area! A unique cabin feel made with natural cedar siding, reclaimed hardwood floors and doors, live edge counters, and beautiful craftsman handiwork throughout. There is no place like it!!
This beautiful tiny house is located in Sandy city limits with restaurants and stores nearby, but on a remote 23 acres. 30 minutes from Mt. Hood and skiing. 10 minutes from world class hiking/mountain biking. Also only 40 minutes to downtown Portland and PDX airport. The perfect in between location for outdoorsy adventure and city glam! We live just a mile off highway 26 but at the end of a short private road out on a bluff. It is very remote and extremely quite!!!
  • If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. This is the perfect house for a couple looking to getaway for a few days. Kim is a wonderful hostess. She gave us great info on local restaurants and things to do. She was always timely in communication and made check-in/out extremely easy. The house itself was spotless and beautiful inside. The view is breathtaking of course, and the fireplace completes the cabin vibe. I really hope we make it back here sometime in the future.

  • Amazing view and solitude. Quiet and very nice and cozy. A real jewel in the AirBnB experience. It fed my soul.

  • Beautiful spot to slow down and enjoy an incredible view. We packed our own meals and cooked on the kitchenette. A short drive dropped us up on mt hood for a liesurely walk around trillium lake.

Our cozy modern pet-friendly cabin has been remodeled top to bottom. It has an open floor plan and will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is a full sized bed located in the loft, plus two twin size sofa beds in the living room. Sandy Ridge Trail is right around the corner, Wildwood Park is just across the way, and Mt Hood is a short 15 minute drive. Close to some great Eats and Drinks.
The cabin is approximately 500 square feet, situated on .33 acres, in an older neighborhood of log cabins and homes. The back of the property is extremely private and overlooks a year round creek and lush forest. We have a well equipped small kitchen offering French Press Coffee, Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper. The cabin is equiped with Wifi, Bose Soundlink Speaker and Jotul Wood Stove. No TV and No Microwave. The space is very open. Privacy from your cabin mates is essentially limited to the bathroom. The sleeping loft is open to the kitchen below, and has an opening to living room. We have shades on the front of the house but have left the living room open to the beautiful forest in back. Our cabin has an open loft, ladders, and a wood stove. It may not be suitable for younger children. Please contact me with any questions.

This is a sweet tiny cottage. Basic, well planned, wooded nook.
We are located in the country, 7 miles from downtown Sandy and 4 miles from the nearest gas station and convenience store. The snug is situated about 100 feet from the main house and is accessed by a trail. It's the perfect place to stay if you are looking to disconnect and experience simple living. Deer can sometimes be seen roaming outside the window.
  • Such a great stay with a very thoughtful host. We came up to take engagement photos and rented the tiny house. Beth decided to upgrade us to her other bnb that had a bathroom so we could get ready. So thoughtful and kind. The room was nice and warm all night, she gave us recommendations for food which was absolutely delicious and not too far. Overall an excellent stay. Would highly recommend.

    Jaimalyn2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Snug as described! Beth checked us in and made sure everything was good!

    Jordan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place was super cozy and inviting. The place stayed warm on a chilly night, and Beth was very communicative and made check in and check out easy. The bed was comfortable and she had lovely amenities like several varieties of tea that made it feel like home. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Michelle2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place is like heaven on earth! In the morning, the sun was shining through the mist and it felt magical. The cats wandering the property and saying hello was a bonus. Our little chihuahua really enjoyed walking the paths on the property. The tiny house was comfy and warm. Staying at Beth's had the benefits of camping (being in nature) but without the fuss. Thanks Beth for sharing your beautiful property with us!

    Vanessa2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The host Beth is absolutely the sweetest lady ever. She has amazing pets all over the place which made things extremely cozy. The location is breath taking with all the trees surrounded the tiny house. I’m definitely coming back again.

    Mariia2019-11-09T00:00:00Z

This little cottage has 2 bedrooms and one 3 piece bath (toilet, sink and tub). It is about 600 square feet but the outdoor space is large. The charming kitchen has a stove and refrigerator. Lots of dishes, silverware, some spices & dish soap. Coffee pot, blender and toaster. Pots, pans and a crock pot. 3 piece bathroom has towels, toilet paper and soap. Sit down shower, the water heaters not big enough to fill the tub for a bath. Bedrooms - Queen beds blankets sheets and pillows provided. Hot Tub seats 2, hot tub towels and hot tub shock provided. Living room/dining room- Small bistro table with two chairs for meals. Couch seats 4 people, comfy reading chair facing the wood stove and the yard. A new heat pump has been added to get the cabin warmed up but the wood stove is the main source of heat. Wifi is available at no extra charge. This cabin is not equipped with a TV…enjoy nature! Cabin is 15-20 min from Skiing in the winter and Skibowl action park in the Summer. Close to the Sandy River, hiking biking, fishing and rock climbing..
The home is located right off Barlow Trail Road. Barlow Trail Road is moderately traveled and you can hear cars drive by from the front of the house. From the back yard and livingroom you wouldn't even realize there was a road. A short drive to hiking, mountain biking, skiing and fishing.
  • Super cozy and relaxing place. A wonderful weekend getaway. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfy coach, wilderness view from the window and the hot tub in the middle of the woods. I would recommend staying at least for two nights and a full day, one night is not enough to utilize the value of the place.

    Sinem2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Sylvia's cabin for two nights as a little get-away for my girlfriend's birthday and it was perfect for us. Only 20-25 minutes to snowboarding, an intimate little hot-tub under the trees, and a wood stove to cozy-up inside was all we were looking for and this was definitely the spot. Will be back when we need another retreat.

    Ed2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even cuter in person. I loved how secluded it felt, and there were cute little touches everywhere. I plan to be back.

Picture cozy blankets, comfy chairs, Smore's, full kitchen, a tree fort style bath house with clawfoot tub and standing shower, a warm space, etc... However there will be a second 1/2 bath with a private entrance located in the dwelling right next to the trailer making your bathroom time a bit more private and comfortable :) We're excited for you to experience all of the qualities that we love about Airstream living and we can't wait to host you. We are considered to be "the gateway to Mt. Hood" (did we mention you can see the mountain from the Airstream!?) and are located out in the country where you barely hear anything but the occasional tractor driving by and the consistent frogs all night long. We are located just 3 miles from a gorgeous river spot/park (Dodge Park) which is perfect for swimming, picnicing, and hiking around. Also located only six miles from the town of Sandy so when you need a goodie from Joes Donuts on Sunday morning, it won't take you too long to get there.
  • What a dreamy retreat from Portland! Think I was one of the first to experience the magic of the outside tub and gaze at the full moon by candlelit! Hy & Dani really know what they are doing!

  • The airstream was a great stay for us in the middle of our vacation. It was homey and very warm once you got the small wood stove going. Sipping hot chocolate and enjoying the cozy space was a made for a great night.

  • Everything we were looking for in our weekend getaway. Such a peaceful and special place. Only complaint would be a lack of sponge for doing dishes.

    Liya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing getaway! We celebrated our 1 year here and just wanted a space to relax and this was exactly that. We were able to help ourselves to everything including an outdoor fire that was already prepared for us upon arrival. The dogs on the property checked in on us often. We felt very comfortable the whole stay. Would recommend to anyone who wants a place to disconnect from the city life. Thanks for the experience!

    Kelsey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great spot to stay for a night! We couldn't figure out the wood stove but the electric heater kept us warm enough on a cold night. The bed was great and cozy. We loved being able to have our pup with us too. Thanks for hosting!

**We want to ensure guests the cabin is professionally cleaned & all surfaces are sanitized.** Hear the peaceful Sandy River from this knotty pine 1930's cabin with blue tin roof, on historic Barlow Trail Rd. This cozy cabin is filled with plants, vintage, & mid century decor. Get warm by the wood stove, & watch it rain or snow from the large picture windows. Enjoy the spacious kitchen with new appliances. Relax in the tranquil outdoor space among ferns, cedar trees, fire pit, & bbq.
This cabin is perfect for a couple, 2 couples, (3 couples if one sleeps on futon in living room), a friends weekend, or a family. We have 2 bedrooms (1 with Q and 1 with K), plus a very nice Q futon in the living room, and a twin air mattress if you need it. The space is open, yet cozy, charming with a rustic feel, but has modern amenities like dishwasher and new mattresses. The back lawn is peaceful and you can hear the Sandy River! Watch from the large picture windows as the rain or snow falls while you sit by the wood stove, or use the ROKU to enjoy some movies or tv! We are set back away from the road, but you can hear traffic from Barlow Trail Rd if you are in the front yard or have the front windows open...but if you are in the backyard, or only have the river-facing windows open, you mostly only hear the river! You can see two somewhat distant neighbors through the trees in the winter, but in the spring and summer, you don't see neighbors due to foliage. HEAT: The home will be around 60 degrees when you arrive. You'll need to follow instructions to turn on other heaters to heat the home, and in winter months, you will most likely need to start a fire. If you plan to use our wood, you may need to chop larger pieces with our splitting mull. The electric heat sources can heat the home to around 65 in living room area, and 70 in bedrooms. Some guests have found the living room area to be chilly without using the wood stove. The wood stove can heat the entire cabin on it's own if you keep it going. It’s so cozy & sometimes too hot! We provide wood for guests from October-April for guests who plan to use the wood stove as their SOLE source of heat, but please bring your own newspaper and kindling. In the cabin, there are detailed instructions for how to use the wood stove effectively. If you plan to use the woodstove from May-September, you’ll need to bring your own wood. More often than not, we can offer late check-out or early check- in, just ask :)
We are located on the historic Barlow Trail Route, part of the Oregon Trail. You can hear the Sandy River from our home. We do not have riverfront property, but you can hear the river and there are public access points for hiking and a beautiful beach within a mile of our home! The rustic & cool Brightwood tavern is 1.5 miles away, as well as the Brightwood general store. The home is located within 2 miles of the Sandy Ridge Trailhead - a network of mountain biking and hiking trails. We are 5 minutes from Thriftway in Welches, 10 minutes from Skyway Bar, and 20 minutes to Government Camp.
  • Fantastic space with great access to Mt. Hood and local hiking, skiing, sledding and general outdoor enjoyment. The space is super cozy, so great to come back to after a day out and about.

    Andryce & Tyler2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I always stay at a cabin on Mt Hood for my Birthday and this was a fantastic find. I took full advantage of the wood stove, which heated up the main area within an hour. I appreciated having access to wood for the stove and I found out that I like chopping wood so much that I chopped a bunch for the folks staying after me. The kitchen was huge and was stocked with all the right pots, pans, coffee maker (and french press) as well as silverware, cutting board, cooking utensils, etc. Also, the fridge makes its own ice which I think is a nice perk for, you know...cocktails. The cabin also is quirky in terms of which light switch turn on certain lights (or don't). Lastly, I got to the cabin while it was dark and rainy and I was worried I was going to miss signs. I used Google Maps up till Barlow Trail Road from which I then switched over the Amber's directions (which I highly recommend doing). Google maps will take you too far down the road.

  • Beautiful cabin and surrounding area. Cabin was clean, cozy, and adorable.

    Devin2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin! We loved the interior and it had everything we needed. It's very close to the grocery store and is set back from the road. The sound of the river and the smell of the trees was a great way to fall asleep at night!

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Even though it was cold outside, the inside was cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and smelled good. They have everything you need to make you feel at home. The communication with Amber was great. She responds quickly, and was easy to talk to. The only thing that I would recommend to anyone visiting on a weekend is, not to go to the skyway bar and grill at dinner time because we waited an hour for a seat and never got a table. It seemed like they were seating everyone before us because they were locals. The menu looked good, but we never got seated so we went to Dairy Queen which was also disappointing, except for the banana split. I absolutely loved the cabin, so if I ever go back, I will try the Mexican food across the street from skyway.

    April2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great launchpad for all of the Mt hood activities. Fantastic supply of primo Doug fir firewood for a real cabin experience. Doesn't get much better.

    Peter2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amber's cabin is more spacious and thoughtfully decorated than we expected. We loved the comfortable beds, warm wood stove (and wood!), and location. We hope to return soon! This place is a gem. Thank you!

Mountain Bear Cabin has a fantastic outdoor space with a hot tub, fire pit, & fully fenced in yard. Game room in the garage. The house is located in a Mtn neighborhood with neighbors. The Sandy River is a short walk from the house. Sorry, this is a NON PET FRIENDLY HOME. ~Pets are not allowed on the premises. Pets brought to the cabin and allowed entrance, whether owned by the renter or anyone in their group will result in loss of security deposit ($250) and possible eviction.
Perfect for your romantic getaway or a family gathering. Lots to do for the whole family. The great room has a large couch with a flat screen tv, Netflix, 200+ Movies and blu rays. Perfect for snuggling by the fire or watching a movie. Living room has a bluetooth stereo. The open floor plan allows someone in the kitchen to see all the way out to the back deck. Two sets of french doors out to the patio and lots of huge windows gives a lot of natural light. Off the great room is a small sitting room that you can close off for private reading or you could use it as a sleeping area. When this is closed off there is a set of french doors out to the patio. The downstairs bedroom has an xbox 360 with two wireless controllers and 20 games. It is attached to a flat screen tv. There are also lots of board games from chess, dominoes, cranium, scrabble and much more. The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed and a master en-suit with a walk in closet and a private patio. Perfect for your morning cup of coffee. Game room located in the garage. Has a foosball table, ping pong table, darts and mini basket ball game. A few yard games are also in the garage to use outside.
It is a small quiet neighborhood. A short walk to the Sandy River with a great beach.
  • This was our second stay. It is a great location for a family or small group hoping to be near the mountain. Nice to have a place to eat and relax together too. Being able to walk by the river is a nice bonus!

  • Lovely, cozy home. Great for easy access to snow adventures and Government Camp!

    Ariel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable cabin with fun and tasteful decor perfect for the setting. We found there was plenty of room for our family get together (9 of us) and my step dad said the master bed was very comfortable. Nothing better than coming in from a day of snowboarding and have a hot tub waiting for you. Between the well supplied kitchen, WiFi and fire pit, you really will find everything you need for a fun and comfortable stay. Great place.

    Emily & Ash2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so perfect for our group ski weekend. There are so many activities to do at/near the cabin that we could have stayed for days longer and would have never run out of fun! The space is welcoming, cozy and even better than the photos show. We also really enjoyed the fully-stocked kitchen. Will be back for ski or summer trips!

    Jordan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect escape from the city

    Cameron2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a getaway to just relax and play games or come home to after being on the mountain. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities and we enjoyed the hot tub and the Ping Pong and games in the garage.

    John2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

"Glamping at its' best"! 16' x 16' TreeHouse, suspended between 3 large fir trees, queen size bed, loft w/2 twin beds, composting toilet, much more, situated on 20 acres with a pond. Gas heater, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot. IMPORTANT: this is a Tree House! Going up the spiral staircase is an adventure in itself, so pack small bags (or packs) (large suitcases are not appropriate). Be sure to look at the pictures & read our reviews... that provides the most information. Happy Travels!
Our Tree House sits on our 20-acre property at the base of Mt. Hood (about an hour east off downtown Portland - a great city to explore!). We are 30 minutes west of Ski Bowl and the Mt. Hood National Forrest. We are within 30-60 minutes of three Mt. Hood Ski areas. You will ascend a unique spiral staircase up to the Treehouse. The Treehouse is approximately 200 square feet, with an 8'x10' sleeping loft. The main floor has a queen bed, bistro table, reading chair, mini frig, coffee maker, microwave, composting toilet and cold water sink. There is a seating area below the Treehouse as well, so you can sit by a fire and enjoy the outdoors even if it is raining (a good thing in Oregon). Picnic table (not covered) and gas grill (in covered area) are available for your use. If you like camping or backpacking, you will love the treehouse. It is 'Glamping' (Glamorous Camping). If you prefer more amenities (like porcelain toilets and an indoor shower (but there is an OUTDOOR SHOWER with hot water! - *not available when temperatures are below 40 degrees), check out the guest cottage on our property, also listed on AirBnB). This is a unique property, please view "House Rules" prior to booking. This is NOT suitable for children under AGE 7, due to spiral staircase and ladder to the loft. The Magical Treehouse was featured on the BuzzFeed series "HomeBuddies." You can view the episode (and get a great idea of the property) by going to Youtube, use the search terms: "Buzzfeed Homebuddies "I lived in a treehouse". There are multiple episodes and the treehouse is episode 4. The Magical Treehouse was also featured on "TRIP101": Nine Treehouses in Oregon That You Should Book Now. Visit their website to read the article. PLEASE NOTE: Due to both demand and to ensure that each guest gets the full experience of being here (which can't be done in one night), the minimum two-night stay is non-negotiable.
The Neighborhood We are mid-way between Sandy and Welches on the flanks of Mt. Hood. We are six miles from town (Sandy) so it is quiet. Most neighbors have acreage properties. The area is forested and beautiful. There is another "Sweet Mountain Guest Cottage (also listed on AirBnB), a pond cottage(available by request only), and our personal home.
  • This Treehouse is the real deal. We were excited to come check it out for months and it still outpaced our expectations. The hosts were absolutely lovely, easy to communicate with, and provided last minute recommendations about where to check out Mt Hood and do local hiking. The treehouse is an effortless combination of rustic and glamping. Bed is comfortable. You feel as though you are waking up inside the trees and the property is silent at night. There is a gorgeous pond on property with Salmon under the surface. Truly a special place. Lucky they are willing to share it with the world! They have two adorable dogs that accompany you throughout the day and two cats that followed us at night. Can’t speak highly enough of this place!

  • We enjoyed our stay 👍👍

    Brian2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is spectacular! The treehouse was well thought out and is super cozy. Dave and Hollis have a fully stocked Keurig coffee station for your enjoyment as well! Nothing like waking up after the best rest you ever got in any one of the bed options to a quick make cup of coffee to enjoy while you cozy up in the breakfast nook with a fave book, feeling the peace of the forest wash over you. There's a special energy about sleeping in a tree, I must say – one I highly recommend. In addition to that awesomesauce, there is a pond and lots of outdoor games (bball, carpet ball, horseshoes, zip line, etc.) all waiting for you to come and play, PLUS 20 acres of forested trails to stroll. Please do consider the spiral staircase and tight quarters if ease of movement is a concern for you due to physical constraints (including firm sleeping surfaces for those with back support requirements). Various parts of this experience require a bit of limberness and adaptability. It's well worth it if you're able though.

  • This place is well worth the money. Whether you’re going for a romantic getaway, or a family outing, this place has it all. The property is amazing with a pond, walking trails and plenty of activities. Highly recommend this unique experience.

    Chris2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little treehouse set in nature. Even in the end of oct it was kind of chilly but the heater kept us warm. Lots of activities to do in the summertime but we we were still able to feed the fish in the pond, played disc golf, hiked around the property and roasted marshmellows on the fire pit underneath the treehouse.

    Kim2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Avery unique and memorable Air BnB experience!

The Sandy River Hideaway is a Self-check-in modern cottage tucked away within the popular Timberline Rim neighborhood. This spacious 240 sq ft one-bedroom has its own private drive, fenced-in backyard, and a beautiful Mountain View (with no cleaning fees.) Timberline Rim Recreation club amenities are included. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Sandy River Beach access. Skiing attractions such as Timberline Lodge is within a short drive. Sandy Ridge Trail is 2 miles away.
Within this 240 sq ft cottage, two guests can enjoy a queen size Tempurpedic bed, hotel type amenities such as a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, large walk-in shower, and (New) Smart TV with Netflix for the duration of their stay. Think hotel room in the woods, not a full-service cabin. There is also a sleeping loft that can accommodate a third, additional guest. Since this vacation rental is suited for those wishing to get away and enjoy a short term holiday, there is no kitchen, which will relieve any expectations to clean dirty dishes or pick-up in any other capacity upon check-out. We have no check-out procedures. We want you to enjoy yourself as you would in a hotel, with the exception that you are staying in your own private cottage and not expected to share a common area with anyone. However, this house is not off the grid or miles from civilization; it is located within a neighborhood. It is also cleverly hidden from view off Sandy River Lane Road, tucked behind two homes. Let it be known, none of the neighboring houses can view the private backyard, which hosts its own Weber Grill, firepit with two Adirondack chairs, and soon-to-be swing or hammock to be enjoyed in the coming warm summer months. **There is a $15 cleaning fee per dog. If bringing a dog, please let me know upon booking.
Since this cottage is located across the street from the Sandy River Beach and trail access and is down the street from the Timberline Rim Recreation Club, guests can enjoy everything this community has to offer. These seasonal amenities include a tennis court, swimming pool, game room, and basketball court.
  • Lindsey was great! Communication was fast and very helpful. My boyfriend and I asked if we could check in early to drop our things off so we didn’t have to hold it in the car while we adventured the mountain. Lindsey had the place cleaned up and accommodated us early, it was extremely helpful. The place was adorable, clean and perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring Mount Hood :)

    Alyssa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey’s cabin was a perfect place to relax after a long day of skiing! The space was very cute and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The backyard space looked like it would be very enjoyable in the summertime with outdoor seating and a fire pit. I would definitely recommend this cozy cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay near Mt. Hood.

    Britney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This ‘lil Loft in the woods was perfect for my hubby and I. It was so comfortable and cozy. My hubby was able to take a quick nap on Saturday, before we went out for dinner at a local Pub near the mountain. ANd, on our 2nd day we were able to sleep in (and get sleep even with Daylight Savings!) and stop at a local coffee shop on our way to the mountain. It was such a special treat and honor to get to stay here, the price point was amazing. WE loved this spot!

    Jeanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We went snowshoeing for the day and stayed here afterwards. We really liked this little private cabin, it was very clean and cute, everything we needed to relax after a day playing in the snow. There were some very good restaurants nearby as well. This is a great value, stay here.

Come share our farm adventure. Meet friendly goats, alpacas, pigs, ducks, and chickens. Two queen sized beds in a studio apartment with a convenient kitchenette and private bath. There is also a futon chair and a sofa that could accommodate small children. We have an air bed and port-a-crib also available on request. Five wooded acres to roam about. Great ski resorts and hiking trails within 30 miles. We just added a beautiful deck with patio furniture and umbrella for your outdoor use.
This rustic themed studio sits on 5 acres of beautiful Oregon countryside. The space is separate from the main living quarters, providing a private get away for you and your guests. Take advantage of the forested property for a peaceful walk. If you are the adventurous type, this is located in an excellent area for your outdoor needs; skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, etc. I would possibly consider one pet on an individual basis for an additional fee of $25.
The property sits several miles outside of Sandy, Oregon. You have to take a gravel driveway for about a quarter mile to reach the house. You will pass lush country-side and plenty of farm life on the way. The location is awesome; with Mt. Hood 30 mins in one direction, and the Columbia River Gorge 30 mins. in the other. If you just want to enjoy the peaceful allure of the country, or take advantage of the endless adventures year-round, this is the place for you! Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, fishing, rafting, hunting, you name it! Access may require four wheel drive in the winter months depending upon the amount of snowfall we have. Please ask ahead of time if this is a concern for you.
  • Green Acres Farm is an amazing place! We had such a relaxing time and it was so nice walking around the property, visiting the animals. Will definitely plan another visit.

  • Beautiful and well appointed and full of special touches. Coffee and honey in the kitchen, cozy blankets and furniture, comfy beds and perfect pillows, and of course the hot tub!! We only left to go get dinner as we were so relaxed in this beautiful river setting. Walks along the river, hot tubbing, knitting, coloring and Netflix!! Hope to come again soon!

  • Sarah + Duane’s house was beautiful, well-appointed and super convenient! The hot-tub, games, DVDs were great amenities and the kitchen was perfectly stocked. We appreciated the helpful and timely info from Sarah + Duane and their generosity in my opening their homes to us!

    Elise2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! The sound of the river from the deck, the amount of natural light inside, the hot tub, and easy communication with the hosts all put this at the top of our list for Mt Hood rentals. And, our kids loved it as much as we did!

    Shannon2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Best Airbnb experience I’ve had in a while. Amazing home, great amenities, really relaxing getaway spot. The hot tub is amazing and you can hear the river from the deck.

  • What a great house! I had rented it for my dad's 60th birthday and the whole family had a great time. The living room doesn't have much lighting, so at night the house gets pretty dark. We didn't really mind it just noticed it. Would definitely recommend it to others. :)

    Michelle2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is perfect for anyone looking to stay near Mt. Hood! The location and cabin are unbeatable. • Extras are standard at Jill’s place. We visited Sandy to take care of elder family members on a regular basis and this is our last trip as they have both moved into other living arrangements. We have stayed at Jill’s a number of different times in different seasons and we’ve been pleased with our stay every time. We appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, privacy, and the thoughtful touches. Jill is a terrific host and we will miss staying someplace that truly felt like a home away from home.

Located between Mt. Hood and the Columbia Gorge! Cozy private studio, with a separate entrance on 2 quiet acres. This small studio has a comfortable queen bed with luxury linens throughout. A tiny kitchenette supplied with coffee, fresh organic cream, an assortment of tea, bottled water, and a few breakfast snacks. Wifi, Cable TV, Hulu and Netflix available. Grocery stores, restaurants, movie theater, gym, and hiking trails just to name a few amenities all within 1 to 3 miles of our home.
The space is fairly new construction. Very clean and cozy with all the amenities. I use mostly all natural and organic products. It is very light and bright! The space is quite small, but very functional. Seating is limited to the bed. You are more than welcome to use any of the outdoor seating areas. No closet, but there are wall hooks and I can provide hangers. The air conditioning and heat are controlled from inside the main house. Please do not hesitate to request a change in temperature! There is a window fan and also a space heater in the room for supplementing when needed! The laundry room is available for your use, scheduled between the hours of 7am and 4pm.
We are basically in Sandy, even though our address is Boring. It is a quick 35 miles to Timberline Ski Resort. Towards the mountain you will also find many summer and winter activities. In the wintertime Mt. Hood offers, skiing, snowshoeing, snow mobile trails, sledding and much more! Summer season offers, hiking, biking, camping, skiing, the adventure park, lakes, golfing just to name a few! It is a beautiful place to explore anytime of the year! We are about 35-40 minutes from downtown Portland, depending on traffic. We are about 30-40 minutes from the airport as well.
  • We have enjoyed staying there in the past and continue to do so.

    Tracy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is hands down great comfort, close to the MT hood and one of the best prices. Valerie is a very thoughtful and pleasant host. I have stayed here two times now and will be coming back.

  • I enjoyed a great night's stay and would definitely stay again! Small space well organized and sparkling clean with lots of wonderful extras like great coffee and cream and yummy muffin, and a lovely peaceful neighborhood.

    Donna2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient place to stay for a 2 person mountain trip. Only about 30 minutes from skibowl (where we went), 5 minutes from grocery/coffee/restaurants/etc, and about 30 minutes from Clackamas town center. It was clean and quiet. I really appreciated the coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and bottled water that was available in the room. Toaster, microwave, and fridge made it a little cheaper to travel since we didn’t have to eat out at a restaurant for every meal while staying here :) I plan on staying here again for my next Mt. Hood trip.

    Cheyenne2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Small but perfect for a little get away

    Natalie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

To help protect the health of our guests, we are suspending new reservations from now until June 20th, or until the current situation related to covid-19 is resolved. At this moment, the entire state of Oregon has been asked to abide by the "stay home" guidelines. As soon health officials determine that we can all get back to work, school, and enjoying cozy places like Cedarwood, we will gladly welcome you. We know that a getaway to Cedarwood Cabin will be a welcome retreat!
Looking for a place to get away from it all? Enjoy a relaxing stay in this gem of a cozy cabin, surrounded by trees, and fresh air. Stoke the woodstove and watch the fire, read, write, relax, and savor the simple life. Welcome to Cedarwood. For those who seek an authentic cabin experience, Cedarwood offers the rustic, historic, and simple. Think of it as stepping out of the modern. Hand-built and lovingly restored. If you love hand-crafted details, you'll fall in love with Cedarwood. A beautiful enamel woodstove is the centerpiece--with firewood provided! Practice your pioneer skills, get a fire going and tend it, and savor the reward. The queen-sized bed sleeps two comfortably. The futon couch folds down for an additional sleeping spot (about the size of a double bed). Two indoor sleeping bags and extra blankets provided for slumber party style sleeping (or forts). The kitchen is basic, but has tools to turn your groceries into great meals: a plug-in hot-plate and griddle (no oven), makes for classics like pasta dinners or hotcakes and omelet breakfasts. Microwave, coffee grinder, french press, and an assortment of bowls, dishes and utensils are at the ready. Or enjoy the nearby restaurants and brewpubs of Welches. The bathroom is an arm’s reach from the backdoor. It’s a quick step out, but inside is completely remodeled; you’ll find the subway tile shower, sink, toilet, towel cabinet, and built-in cedar shelves. There’s even a twist-timer wall heater for your convenience during your washroom time. For travelers accustomed to more modern accommodations, not to worry, you can fall in love here, too. But please know that this cabin, like all historic cabins, can get chilly in the morning, has simple cooking set up, and is by design a rustic and simple structure in the woods. (See details in “other things to note.”) Cedarwood is a magical place to slow down, unwind, unplug, relax. You won't find a TV, but you'll find fun books on hiking, wildflowers, and Mt Hood history. You'll find a cozy couch with soft blankets and hand-made pillows to read, to nap, to cuddle. Fall asleep to the gentle patter of rain.
Conveniently located just off of Mt Hood's main route, HWY 26, Cedarwood Cabin is less than 5 miles to Welches, 5-10 miles from some of the best trailheads, and 15-30 miles to the ski areas. You'll be in easy access to grocery store, brewpubs, coffee shop, gas station, liquor store, and ski rental shop. The cabin is one of a dozen or so other cabins and homes on a loop road. So there is no through traffic. You can see other homes from the cabin. You may see nieghbors walking their dogs. It’s a quiet, safe neighborhood, where folks keep an eye out for each other but also respect privacy.
  • Great cabin tucked away in the woods.

    Kerry2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful say at Ian's Cedarwood Cabin! The wood burning stove, lighting, and blankets all created a cozy atmosphere and made my birthday weekend very relaxing.

    Natalie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy and quaint cabin experience. A perfect mountain getaway cabin. The cabin is small but relatively well stocked and laid out for a relaxing weekend. A good mixture of new and old, as the main heat source is a wood stove but there are electric space heaters to supplement the heat. The bathroom is modern, but you do need to step outside to get access to it. Ian is a fantastic host, and checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, which it was. I would have no hesitation to go back to Cedarwood and use it for a jumping off point for more adventures in the Mt. Hood wilderness, or just as a getaway from the bustle of the big city.

    Nate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fun cabin to stay in. There were certain things about this particular rental that were intriguing. We wanted to stay somewhere unique and Cedarwood was a great fit! The simplicity of this rental was one of the draws for us. If you're looking for a place that is secluded and puts you "in the woods" this is a great pick!

    Adam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fabulous time at this quaint and rustic cabin. Being out amongst the trees really helped me relax. The host is very attentive, and everything is as described.

    Hilary2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ian's Cedarwood cabin is full of vintage charm! The location is a perfect home base to explore all that Mt. Hood has to offer, and the thoughtful guidebook in the AirBnb will set you in pursuit of hidden gems. As someone who has grown up visiting Mt. Hood, it was a delight to have new recommendations for hidden hikes and waterfalls in the area - a wonderful value of staying in the cabin! The space itself is cozy and rustic, we loved coming home to light a fire in the woodstove to unwind and recharge after a busy day on the mountain. A gem, for sure!

I will note, like others have mentioned, the bathroom is tiny and the hot water is not consistent. We had about 2-3 mins of hot water every few hours so we had to plan quick showers accordingly.

    Anna2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this cute little tiny home in the woods. Warm shower, small but efficient kitchen. No Wifi so it was nice to turn off. There’s a DVD player and hdmi cord if you think ahead to bring your own movies. It’s a private little spot with a great walking path and fire pit area. I’d love to come stay again! The kitchen has the bare bones basics so bring your own cooking oil, butter, etc. No complaints! Great spot!

  • This is a beautiful spot for a nature get away! There is a fire pit and trail that loops around the property. The cabin is perfect for 2 and a great location to access many other nature trails. We were very happy with our stay!

The Woodlands House sits on five acres of wooded property. It is a beautiful three bedroom home with two outdoor decks surrounded by beautiful trees. It's perfect for group getaways or a trip to the mountains, as it's a 20 min drive from Mount hood and only 45 min from PDX. To rent the lower level with additional bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and fireplace, search for "The Woodlands House Plus". https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23977878
Our home is a restful and relaxing space. The home is filled with vaulted ceilings and a wood-burning fire place on every level. We have furnished the home to feel like a mix of Scandinavian and Mid-Cenutry design, while at the same time having some fun and rustic cabin vibes. The large deck off the main level that overlooks a trickling stream, is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch deer come to the water for a drink. The deck also features a large 6 person hot tub, that is perfect to soak your bones after a day of skiing or hiking.
The neighborhood is tree-filled and very rural, so you probably wont see neighbors as every one pretty much keeps to them selves. There is a chance you could hear some neighbors hanging outside if the weather is nice, but the trees keep the home very private.
  • Amazing home in a beautiful, secluded setting! Recommend to all!

  • An ideal property for a cozy getaway. This property is incredibly versatile and can easily be enjoyed by friend for a gathering, an intimate getaway or families getting out of town. We traveled with our family of five and were impressed by the functional and stylish layout and decor and were pleasantly surprised to see it is much larger in person. It was the perfect spot for our family to enjoy the snowy backdrop while cooking, enjoying books and playing games. The hosts provide very detailed and accurate driving directions and helpful and clear notes about navigating the home. The home provides a warmth and beauty and is very comfortable. Hosts quickly respond to any inquiries. This property functions as an ideal Airbnb .

  • One of my most favorite Airbnb stays! Hard to get away now that I have a toddler, but the house was completely baby proofed, which made the stay so relaxing! Styled SO well, and in the most beautiful PNW setting. There was a light dusting of snow when we woke up on our last morning, which made things even more magical!

    Maile2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • such a beautiful place to stay in! Seems even bigger in person than from the photos which is incredible!! My fiancé and I spent our anniversary here and it's the perfect little getaway! We were close enough to town to grab food but when you're at the place you can't see or hear the neighbors + the place is truly styled to make you feel at home away from home! Would 13907% recommend their place and will definitely be going back!

    Hannah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special house with it’s wonderful location in a magical setting that is so convenient to all the area has to offer. We were there for a Christmas gathering which was so special. We feel it would be great for any time of the year. The house is well appointed, thoughtful layout and the hosts are so quick to respond ...we were very pleased.

  • Had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend with my family! The space was beautifully decorated and was full of all we needed. The roads where a little tough with the cold weather. But would absolutely stay again.

    Aleksandra2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my friends are absolutely OBSESSED with the woodlands house. We had such a great time disconnecting in the woods for the weekend. The house is decorated so beautifully, and it felt so cozy. It is the perfect place to relax, hangout by the fire, play some games, and hangout in the hot tub. We loved it, and definitely are hoping to come back soon :)

  • Rachel and Rico's place is incredible. It's a beautiful home on a wooded lot with trails and trees and troves of delightful findings. It was easy to check-in, Rachel and Rico sent detailed instructions and notes a few days before, everything was very clean. Plenty of kitchen staples for cooking. I came here for a solo writing retreat, but can imagine this place being being great for groups as well.

A separate living space designed for privacy from the rest of the home. There is a sitting room, bedroom, and private bathroom secluded from the business of the rest of the home. Shared kitchen and laundry room allow for all amenities to be available to our guests. 55 acres of farm and forest provide plenty of room to hike and explore the many aspects of nature in the Pacific Northwest. Gorgeous views of Mount Hood are provided whenever the clouds can be kept away.
  • Great place to stay if you’re planning a trip around the Mt. Hood area.

    Patrice2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute perfection! The sweetest family hosting at the best location, so many pluses up here: the family, the critters, the accomodations, the farm itself, the location... Epic value, pride in ownership is evident - as it should be - and the hosts couldn't be more lovely, thoughtful and generous! So thankful for the best experiences on the farm, and the memories that will follow us!

They have a really neat property full of goats, rabbits, cows, and other animals. It is a quiet space with lots of room. It was exactly what we needed. Would highly recommend you to stay here if you get the chance!

  • As a group of eight adults (four couples), we really enjoyed our weekend at Rachel and Rico’s cabin. The cabin is the perfect place to getaway and has plenty of room for adults and children. The stylish decor and thoughtful touches make it the ultimate retreat. Our group is already talking about coming back next year—we cannot recommend it enough!

  • Incredible house and the best location. Less than an hour from Portland and about 30 minutes to the mountain. Rico is the best Airbnb host I’ve ever had. Super kind and responsive. Couldn’t speak more highly of this place 🙌🏼

    Keithen2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Woodlands house was perfect for our extended family to relax and enjoy each other’s company over the holiday break. The house was even bigger than it looked in photos. We cooked, watched movies, played games, and soaked in the hot tub...it was the perfect break from the city. It was also great for the kids - ages 2 and 5 with a small kid-friendly room and a crib in the Master suite. It was nice and convenient to Portland also also to Mt. Hood for skiing. I’m sure it would be beautiful during the summer as well. Highly recommend!

There are many other popular recreational areas to the east, and 40 minutes from the City of Portland to the west. The neighborhood is very quiet. The spectacular views make it a unique experience. We are also located within walking distance of many conveniences, including grocery, restaurants, and shopping. We are located right next to "Jonsrud Viewpoint" the most famous and photographed location of Mt. Hood. However our view is even better!!!!
  • Amazing...one of, if not the best Air Bnb’s I’ve ever stayed at. First your hit with this amazing view from the property and the pictures don’t do it justice. Once you go inside, Carl has thought of everything for the quintessential Oregon experience. Books, magazines, brochures for all the activities, 5 different types of coffee to choose from, some snacks, plenty of novels to dig into, and the furnishings were all super comfortable. The quiet backyard and the fire pit are available as well with a million dollar view and the location was just a few minutes down the street to Sandy where you can get everything you need. We can’t wait to book here again for longer than 2 days.

    David2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beyond our expectations. Carl has considered comfort and scenery and everything you’d want to make it a good visit. The house is comfortable, pristine, beautifully appointed and decorated, and every nook shows thought and care to make sure you are comfortable and seeing the best of Oregon. This place has it all and we plan to be back.

    Dave2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Carl was very kind and accommodating. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the cabin is. The view is priceless and the town of Sandy is more charming than I could have ever imagined.

    Maria2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far one of my best experiences renting through B&B - Carl sets sets a high bar for all future rentals!

    Kate2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Carl’s place is the best place we have ever stayed in, anywhere. The view of Mt. Hood on the website is for real. It is your daily view, and because of the weather in Oregon, it is constantly changing. The place is warm and comfortable with the most interesting wood interior. There is a nice working gas fireplace. He has thought of everything, the apartment is supplied with just about everything that you will need, except food. Sandy is a great location for an Oregon visit. There are plenty of restaurants and stores, and Mt. Hood and Portland are both about 30-45 mins in either direction. We really enjoyed our stay over the holiday and Carl’s fine hospitality. We want to come back.

    Rick2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • All of the reviews, descriptions and pictures are spot on. We loved spending Thanksgiving here, loved the proximity to awesome places, and loved this little cabin apartment completely. The view of mount hood was so cool once the skies cleared! Carl was very helpful in keeping me informed of weather, and had the nicest touches of food, alcohol and everything we could need/want. We loved this place and hope to be back! Also- the crepe truck in town had delicious crepes!

    Liv2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing! All the reviews state it, but experiencing the view, first-hand, was just so breathtaking. (And—just WOW—all the birds!!) We were especially appreciative of the weather (we got to see the full spectrum, with LOTS of sun!!) and the close proximity to the Sandy River Trail :)

The kitchen was a great size and we enjoyed our meals sitting at the bar. Or drinking coffee and watching the goats out the window. The farm was beautiful and it was so much fun to walk around with the peacocks. We can’t wait to stay again and do another ride on the horses.

  • This cabin exceeded out expectations, in every way. It was clean, spacious, and the hot tub next to the rushing river was sheer relaxation. We were able to make great meals, both on the outdoor grill and in the oven. The property owners don’t brag about how well stocked the kitchen is with equipment/pans/utensils, but it is. Being able to run our own music through the stereo system via Bluetooth was a nice touch. Definitely give this cabin a hard look. It is everything they advertise it to be.

    Shea2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Loved falling asleep to the sounds of the river. Fully stocked kitchen allowed us to make a beautiful dinner and breakfast.

    Andrea2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous location... we only wish we could have stayed longer! Inside is comfortable and having an espresso maker made our stay (there are also drip coffee and French press, with fresh beans and a grinder). As coffee people that was the highlight (well, and the hot tub by the river!)! Thank you!!!

    Saralena2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this cabin! Very fun layout. The grounds are beautiful and the jacuzzi on the river was really the cherry on top. Great kitchen for cooking and lots of space to spread out in the living room. We’ll be back.

  • We had such a wonderful time celebrating a friend’s 30th birthday here! Although it feels like a cozy cabin, there are plenty of rooms and beds. The riverside hot tub was to die for and we had a great time sitting around the fire pit. The sound of the river running by added to the atmosphere! I would highly recommend for a group, family or couples getaway!

    Grace2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this cabin can’t be beat! Waking up to the sound of the sandy river rushing by was incredible. Even though this cabin has plenty of space, it still feels so warm and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with every possible tool or condiment you could ever need. I already miss cooking breakfast and relaxing by the fire every morning. I didn’t want to leave! We can’t wait to come back!

This is our home and we are happy to share it it with you. The upper level is reserved for our use and the main floor is shared use. We may also have guests in the other main floor bedroom.
This suite is in our country home, but only 5 miles from the thriving town of Sandy and 10 miles from Gresham, a larger city bordering Portland. There are plenty of shopping and eating opportunities in both. Once here, you may decide you just want to sit back and relax, so consider picking up a few items on your way here and making a meal in our well equipped kitchen.
  • Great communication, great hospitality, nice space in the room and private bath. King bed was a luxury. Beautiful home, thank you

  • We're repeat visitors and always enjoy staying at Linda's lovely home. Being out in the country, it's a wonderful place to unwind and escape from tv and technology - there is wifi, just don't expect superb reception.

  • The house and grounds are beautiful. The private room is very spacious with it's own very nice bathroom. The bed is so big! It's like I was swimming in an ocean of blankets in the best possible way. Nice fireplace for cold nights too. Such a beautiful rustic visit. Linda and Jim go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home.

  • Love this place! Very spacious and immaculately clean with a gorgeous view of the stunningly beautiful Arabian horses every morning! These horses are the most loving and affectionate horses I have ever encounter! Love the spread for breakfast too and the hospitality of the wonderful host and hostess! You will love this place! Highly recommended!

  • Linda and her husband are lovely, friendly hosts!! Their home is a beautiful wood cabin. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable. The breakfast station is well stocked with coffee, tea and pastries. The bathroom in our room had plenty of linens, towels and toiletries in case you forget something. They included so many thoughtful touches, and were very friendly, interesting people to spend time with. We spent two nights here, but we are looking forward to going back to stay with them!

This 1977 gem is nestled in the forest at the base of Mt Hood. It is close to area hikes, a mile from the Sandy Ridge Bike Trail, fishing, rock climbing, and more. No Pets Please. The house has two queen sized beds and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room. Two flat-screen tv's are at your disposal, as well as a ready to use kitchen and onsite laundry.
The Tim Rim is a great neighborhood, with friendly neighbors but forested enough to feel like you are alone
  • This was a perfect weekend getaway spot for skiing at Mt. Hood. The kitchen was very well equipped for making meals. Sara was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The cabin itself was more spacious than we thought from looking at the pictures. We would definitely stay again!

  • This was a great place to stay for as we snowboarded Mt Hood. Conveniently located and it was very comfortable. 😊

  • Sara's A-frame is located in an absolutely beautiful area. We loved walking the neighborhood and enjoying coffee on the deck in the morning (weather permitting). The shops and restaurants nearby are very convenient. Would definitely return next time we are in Oregon!

Welcome to the Scenic View Lodge! We invite you to enjoy some much needed time away and take in one of the most inspiring views in Oregon overlooking the Sandy River and Mt. Hood. Lodge stay includes hot tub, sauna, fire pit (complimentary firewood), gas barbecue and smoker. Ideal space for larger groups or families traveling together. Hope to see you soon!
Scenic View Lodge, a beautiful home for gatherings. A spacious dream kitchen, outdoor wood smoker & gas BBQ, will all contribute to the creation of many great meals. Living area open to the kitchen, dining, and outdoor area. Outside deck provides a fire pit, hot tub & sauna all overlooking a breathtaking view of the Sandy River & Mt Hood. 3 King rooms, all with views. 2 bunk bed rooms w/games for the kiddos. Centrally located for Portland events, Mt. Hood skiing, hiking, fishing ...
Our Lodge is located next to the Jonsrud Viewpoint. The viewpoint offers telescopes and expansive views of Mt. Hood and the Sandy River Valley, as well as the “Devil’s Backbone,” a ridge named by pioneers who were traveling on the Oregon Trail. The site has been considered one of the “best views in Oregon” (although we think that the view off of our back deck is better!!! "For those who appreciate a small resourceful community amidst the splendor of Oregon, Sandy — perfectly balanced between Mt. Hood and the city of Portland — embodies a rare, independent spirit that combines the pioneer and the visionary, and defines the Sandy way of life."
  • House was larger than expected and clean. Booking/check in/check out was all very simple and we didn't have to reach out to the hosts for anything, except for a booking issue on my end that the hosts were excellent about and quick to respond. House has an amazing view and all the beds we used were very comfortable. The sauna doesn't get very hot and only has a 1 hour timer which we repeatedly forgot to reset when we left it to warm up, so we never actually used it, but the hot tub, deck, firepit, and indoor fireplace make up for it. Perfect distance and location from Portland to feel like you're not near the city, but close enough to have a quick drive back.

    Derrick2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with an amazing view! All of the furniture was very comfortable, especially those luxurious king beds!

  • Wonderful place to stay! The hosts were very quick to respond in planning our stay and the place exceeded our expectations. Great amenities, wonderful location, spotless, could not have asked for better accommodations.

    Kate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to spend time with family or a larger group of people. The common space feels so open with the spectacular view from the wall of windows facing the river. It was easy to keep the house warm on even the coldest day. The hot tub is clean and perfect after a long hike.

    Jeri2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious. The king beds were very comfortable. Quick responses when things didn’t go as planned. Look forward to staying here again!

You did it, you found the perfect mountain getaway vacation spot! This cabin is only an hour outside of Portland and only 15 minutes from Government Camp/Ski Bowl. This Cabin sleeps 9 guests and has plenty of parking; conveniently located off of Highway 26 and tucked far enough back to where you only hear the sounds of the Sandy River. It has a very open floor plan with 25 foot ceilings and plenty of exposed logs. The cabin has just been updated and has a very homey and cozy feel.
This Cabin is fully furnished and we have supplied it with everything needed to enjoy your vacation without having to pack extra household items. We have a fully functioning kitchen along with a microwave, coffee-maker, and toaster. The cabin has air conditioning and a heater and can also be heated by a propane fireplace along with plenty of cozy blankets to wrap-up in (for winter time, of course).
The cabin is located in the Timberline Rim Community (right off of Hwy 26/Brightwood/Welches area). The cabin is very close to the Sandy River. There are multiple restaurants and a grocery store all within 2 miles of the cabin. Very close to all mountain activities; Sandy Ridge Trailhead.
  • Great cabin located in a quiet secluded community. You can hear the river from the cabin & hike along it with nice calming views. What a great unique place to stay! Very roomy and we really enjoyed having the hot tub! We would definitely stay here again!

    Sharon2020-03-03T00:00:00Z

  • We had an awesome time staying at Todd's cabin. It's less than 30 minutes from Meadows where we were skiing which was perfect. The cabin is so cozy and the hot tub was amazing. We'll definitely book again!

  • Beautiful space!

    Kirsten2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was the perfect amount of space for 6 of us. The kitchen and dining table were so accommodating for meals and hangs after days out skiing. Loved the hot tub. The selection of board games was perfect. The beds were super comfortable. Todd was a great host; we decided to add a night to our stay and since no one was booked immediately after we were, Todd very quickly worked that out for us and it was a breeze! His communication was quick, helpful, and clear! Made for a great 3 night stay. We hope to come back!

    Adrienne2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy weekend away near Mt. Hood! We enjoyed a couple dinners around the beautiful table in the open first floor of the cabin - the kitchen has all the pots & pans you need. We enjoyed using the hot tub both nights — it’s in a pretty spot on the patio with lights above and plenty of towels for after! Everything was really clean and we felt really well-cared for. Thank you, Todd!

    Shannon2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Todd's cabin is a very cozy place. This is a perfect place to get away with friends and family and to just relax. There were board games for us to play and a nice living room space where we watched a movie. The hot tub was nice and the lights in the back create a great ambiance. I highly recommend this place!

  • The cabin is very comfortable has everything necessary very complete all services and spacious rooms and the Jacussi We enjoy everything we highly recommend for vacation

    Daniel2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to share with friends. Lots of great hiking options near the cabin. The cabin isn’t as secluded as it looks. You will be surrounded by lots of other houses (kids, dogs). We thought it’d be a little more remote than that. Make sure you get groceries ahead as the closest grocery stores have higher prices and less options. Kitchen is pretty big and has lots of utensils- bring your spices if you plan on cooking. We enjoyed having a grill, too! For people traveling with others, note that the two queen beds are in the same room (intimacy very limited). The hot tub area could use a good cleaning.

    Marion2019-06-16T00:00:00Z

Looking to disconnect from the city for few days? Or maybe a quiet place to crash after a day of enjoying Mt. Hood? Look no further! This 1 bedroom apartment is located on a beautiful acre, surrounded by trees and pastures. Close enough to enjoy the amenities of town, but far enough out to get a true country experience.
The Property – Our home is located on a 1 acre parcel of land, surrounded by horse pastures and forest. It’s a chalet style A-frame that we are slowly, but surely, making the house of our dreams. The basement of our house has been completely remodeled and turned in to a cozy, quiet space that we want to share with others! Our family of 4 lives upstairs, but go out of our way to make sure our guests have the best experience possible while they’re staying with us. While you're here, feel free to be outside and enjoy the serene surroundings. Living Room – As you walk through the front door the first thing you will notice in the cozy living room is the wood burning fireplace. Feel free to enjoy a fire and delight in the warmth and comforting sounds of wood crackling. We have a 60” inch TV for you to use, but keep in mind… our internet service isn’t good enough to stream such apps as Netflix or Hulu. Feel free to bring your own devices to hook up, though. Sit and relax, as there is a full size couch and love seat that are both super comfy. In the corner we also have a small bin of toys and a 3’ tall dollhouse, should you have any children traveling with you. And if you do have kids, let us know and we can bring down some more toys for you. Kitchen – The next room you’ll find is the kitchen and dining area. With a full size kitchen, you’ll be able to feel right at home. Unlike hotels, the kitchen in our Airbnb has full size appliances, including a microwave. There is a small bar with two bar stools, and a table that seats four. We have stocked the cupboards with cups, mugs, plates, bowls, and silverware. We also keep a few cooking items available, like pots, pans, and utensils. Should you need anything else at all, just let us know! If we have it upstairs, we’ll be glad to let you borrow it during your stay. Oh, and most importantly, there is a coffee maker available for you. It’s not a Keurig, so bring your favorite ground coffee to enjoy. Bathroom – The bathroom is fairly large, as it doubles as a laundry room. The shower is a walk-in style, so no bathtub. Also, the light above the mirror is turned on with a switch that’s on the light fixture. If you need the extra light, feel free to turn that on. Bedroom – The bedroom in our Airbnb is in the back of the unit, and super cozy! The bed is made up of a queen size memory foam mattress that sits on a beautiful rod iron frame. We use high count cotton sheets, and keep extra pillows on the bed. Should you need more blankets, we have extras of those as well, located in the closet. Nightstands are available on both sides of the bed, with lamps on each side. Extra Sleeping Arrangements – If traveling with more than 2 people, we will provide extra blankets and sheets as needed. Please make sure to specify the correct number of guests so we can properly prepare. On top of the queen bed, we have 2, JR twin foam mattresses that we can set up for you. They’re 3.5 inches thick, and actually pretty comfortable! WiFi - We'd like to make very clear that we do not offer WiFi at our space. Unfortunately, the only internet we can get out here is via satellite, and it's extremely limited. Hopefully this does not interfere with your plans, as we think our home, it's surrounding, and the nearby access to so many outdoor activities makes up for the lack of internet access. Traveling with kids - Awesome! We have two young kids of our own, so we know how difficult it can be to travel with young ones. Please, do not feel hesitant to book our space. If your little one wakes up in the middle of the night crying, don't feel the least bit concerned about us. We have some toys in the unit, but can make much more available upon request. Grocery – The closest grocery store is Safeway, which is 3.8 miles from our house. The other option in Sandy is Fred Meyer, located at the far west side of Sandy, 4.5 miles from our house. Restaurants – Sandy is full of amazing food options. Some of our favorites include Smoky Hearth, The Red Shed, and Calamity Janes. Mt. Hood – We are at the base of the mountain, just 23 miles from Government Camp and 25 miles from the historic Timberline Lodge. There are endless hiking trails just miles from our house, as well as countless places to fish, kayak, paddle board, or mountain bike. In fact, if you are in to mountain biking, we’re just 8.9 miles from the Sandy Ridge Trail System, which is one of the Northwest’s best mountain biking areas! There are several shops in Sandy that rent all of these things, from bikes to kayaks.
Our gravel road is full of wonderful properties, most of which have several acres or more. All of our neighbors are really nice, including Oregon's most experienced police chief!
  • We really enjoyed this adorable and cozy place. The house is absolutely lovely, we were definitely inspired by how cool and unique the whole place was. Very thanks for a great DVD collection and the cute chocolates on the bed! Lindy was excellent with communication and very flexible. She put out an extra bed for our 7 year old, and put little chocolates on the bed as a nice extra touch. we felt warm with the nice space heater in the bedroom, and having a full kitchen with kitchen utensils and dinnerware was really awesome as well. the view from the patio area was absolutely excellent, I could have sat out there and stared and daydreamed all day. thanks Lindy! -Gina

  • We loved this space and will look to return sometime in the future. If you’re looking for an economical place to stay not too far from the Mt., this would be an excellent choice. The space is very roomy and inviting for a couple or its plenty large enough for a family. Lindy was accommodating and very quick to reply to correspondence

Notice - For the time being, we're no longer accepting reservations for the same day that another guest has checked out. We want to give our housekeepers plenty of time to thoroughly sanitize all surfaces. As always, we have antimicrobial covers on the pillows and mattresses, the duvets are clean and we refresh the hot tub after every booking, but as an extra step, it just feels right to give the house some time to air out between guest. Also, for the safety of our housekeepers, we're asking that you pull the sheets off of the beds and start them in the laundry with hot water. (The mattress covers have different cleaning requirements. Don't worry about those.) Please put all dishes in the dishwasher and run it before you leave. We apologize for any inconvenience. We want it to be a place where guests can remain healthy and active and thoroughly enjoy their time in a natural setting. Vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and cozy wood stove create an atmosphere where you can truly relax. The established kitchen, large dining table and open floor plan with flexible seating allows you to enjoy visiting. • Chrystal’s place is amazing. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and clean as a whistle. Getting in and out is a breeze, and the hot tub is outstanding.

  • We had a great stay at Chrystal’s house. It is very clean and fairly close to the ski slopes. Having a hot tub was wonderful after a full day of skiing. Chrystal is a very responsive and helpful host!

1982 Schoolie Short Bus Converted into a unique & practical camping space thanks to the talents of a local Portland Designer.
The Short Bus has it's own space behind the barn. There is a privacy fence between the bus and the barn apartment. The bus is quite close to the creek and there are plenty of trails for exploring. There is an outhouse toilet for visitors staying in the Short Bus and/or Barn Apartment. For these two spaces there is also access to a shower, sink and small refrigerator.
  • Our trip was outstanding! The entire place felt magical and the host is really passionate about his home and animals. You’ll see peacocks walking around in the morning and Stuart made us feel so welcomed and included. He also has a horse riding business, my friend went on a ride and had an awesome time (you should definitely check this out)! The bus stayed warm throughout the night and was the perfect size for us. It was also the perfect distance from Portland

  • This farm is amazing! All the animals are so great, the bus is private and bed is super comfy. Had a little picnic on the property and walked around. Very beautiful! Will definitely be back.

  • Our stay at Corbett Farm was better than we could have imagined. Stuart was personable, accommodating and he’s just a genuine person. We loved the personalized trail ride! We stayed in the bus, which was clean and had a very comfortable bed. Even though it rained all night, we stayed warm and cozy in the bus. I’m in love with Corbett Farm and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique and fun place to stay in Oregon. Thank you again Stuart, for being an amazing part of our West Coast adventure!

  • I love this farm. I have stayed T the apartment and now the bus, it is comfortable and unique. It’s so fun to be able to interact with all the animals. The bus was very cozy and I might have to try the barn apartment next!! Thanks again Stuart!

  • What a relaxing and fun stay. Loved the horses, goats, pigs, and peacocks. The bus was clean and comfortable. Stuart let us help feed the animals, which I had been wanting to experience. If anyone wants a farm stay, this is good exposure, and the city is not too far away for touring. Smooth trip and trouble-free stay. Outhouse and barnyard shower were clean.

  • Stuart is a friendly host and Corbett Farms is a very nice place to visit. My three year old daughter loved playing with the cats, goats, pigs and horses. Close to Portland but surrounded by nature. We will be back. Thanks Stuart :)

  • This place was such a perfect and unique experience. We stayed in the bus, which surprisingly was very roomy and comfortable. Stuart was such a great hist, he met us when we got there and toured us around his amazing farm! We were allowed to go off on our own, explore his woods, and pet the animals. It was worth every penny!

A basic room with shared bathroom and kitchen privileges. An excellent place to stay for adventurers heading up Mt. Hood to ski, hike or mountain bike. Park and ride is available in Sandy to go up mountain. Lots of dining and shopping options available in Sandy, or the heart of Portland is only 30min away. An elder Persian long-haired cat lives here and has the run of the house.
