Wonderful location to relax. We cycled with the bikes from Hanneke to Hoorn. Very nice city to visit. Furthermore, the cottage is very atmospheric and high quality. Spotless and a nice breakfast. We had a wonderful weekend!

Very cozy little cottage in the perfect area. There is a supermarket and lots of restaurants within walking distance. It is also just a few steps from the waterfront. The house is stocked with coffee and a few breakfast staples plus wine for two. We stay here every time we are in the area, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

The apartment is quirky with lots of lovely features. Gre has a real attention to detail. One of the two single beds is even in a traditional wooden bed cupboard, which is brilliant! The small house is really pretty itself and nestled in the heart of the old fishing village just back from the waterside. Volendam was lovely in its own right, nice and quiet in February, but was also a perfect springboard for trips in to Amsterdam. Great to return to after a hectic day in the city We bought a 3-day travel pass in the airport that covered our journeys to and from Volendam and all our trams, buses and trains about Amsterdam. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. Gre even provided wine, some eggs, some smoked eel and biscuits for us when we arrived which was perfect.

Very cosy and homely tiny house, close to the waterfront in a peaceful small town. Gre was very helpful and left us some nice food and drink as a welcome. Getting to and from Amsterdam is easy on the bus, so it's ideal as a base for exploring the city.

A house that although small is very traditional, has everything in its right measure. Gré was attentive at the time we arrived and even waiting for you with a small bottle of wine on the table. The location is excellent, we went to see Amsterdam, but really, we fell in love with Volendam. A 100% recommended place where if or would be again.

Very good address if you want to be a little quiet in the evening. Access to Amsterdam is easy. It just provides the budget of 10 euros per person. The house is very pretty, very neat, very clean. We really liked it and we recommend it! A journey through time !

Great apartment, spacious and private and has a comfortable bed as well as a spare mattress for additional guests. There is a bus stop close by for access to Amsterdam.

The apartment is slightly farther than indicated but still remains easily accessible from both Amsterdam Noord and Centraal stations. Environment really cared for in every detail, the only drawback the stairs, really steep Martin super friendly and helpful

Purmerend is a wonderful place to stay. It‘s a small town with many different shops and restaurants. Really nice to relax after a day trip to Amsterdam. By Bus it takes only 20 minutes. All people we met were very kind and helpful. Especially the communication with Martin was perfect. We got many good tips and advices. The appartement is super nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend Martin.

This is one of the best apartments I have ever visited. It’s such a smart , stylish and spacious apartment. It’s right in the heart of Purmerend with everything you need right in your door step. How we enjoyed (in this Corona time) the peace and nature that Oostwoud (and surroundings) has to offer and also the enormous hospitality. We will definitely be back, if only for that delicious cake and the breakfasts (and the freshly smoked eel from the neighborhood)!

We stayed overnight with 3 friends in the cozy house of Karel. We enjoyed a lot. Everything looked neat and clean. Beautiful view over the fields. We were surprised with delicious homemade cakes and some goodies to drink. The breakfast was top notch! Karel and his wife welcomed us and were very friendly.

Maayke and Karel are so friendly! They made our stay perfect. The house is lovely with much details. It's like a meditation when you have the awesome breakfast and watch the ducks swimming in front of the house. Hopefully we will come again.

We fell in love with this place for its comfort, cleanliness and delicious breakfast :) The hosts are very accommodating and creative people. It was great to listen to the wind and drink tea, looking at the canals with all kinds of ducks; light a fire in handmade candlesticks and marvel at the thoughtfulness of the details in the cabin ... In short - we liked it :)

Karel & Maayke are enthusiastic hosts who make a lot themselves. The location is unbelievably charming and brings peace in every way. Worth repeating!

Super cute shed in which you have many nice corners and good facilities. It is camping + because you can easily sit inside, with a kitchen, shower and good facilities. Please note that there is only a wood stove, in winter it could be cold.

Super house, back to basics! Very cozy. Nice to warm up the house with the fireplace. The record player and the view of the grassland finishes it off. Good bed, nice living room and basic bathroom. Small boiler but you will survive that for a day. We would like to come again.

Super cozy cottage. Want to get away from everyday life? Then you have to go here! Nice vinyl records with the wood stove. And further down the street is a fantastic thrift store.

What a pretty place! There is a veranda to wave to the sheep, the sea is just a few minutes away, Harrys mom is adorable – so are the dog and the chicken. The bed is huge and the blanket heavenly.

Jan Willem and Andreas were very responsive and hospitable hosts - Jan Willem would have come to pick us up from the bus stop in the car but was away when we stayed, so instead Andreas, who doesn't drive, walked for 20 minutes each way in horrible weather to meet us and show us the way to the house. The house was lovely, with a stylish countryside feel, and the room was quiet and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

They are very friendly, and the house is very nice and peaceful. We had a great tea and chat - as Airbnb should be! They even gave us a ride to the bus stop.

Nice b & b between the alpacas!

We were kindly received by Bianca. After we had looked at our place to sleep we were also allowed to look at her animals. This was a nice addition to our stay. The following morning we had a delicious, extensive breakfast. Bianca is very hospitable! Thanks!

Great host and it was a really good stay. The apartment has a beautiful atmosphere with a cozy alpaca blanket. Everything what you need is in the apartement to have a really relaxing stay. The days starting with a lovely smile from Bianca, if she is serving the breakfast. The breakfast has a lot of own produced items and gives you the right power for the day. Bianca gave us many suggestions to explore the surroundings, she showed us a nice hiking tour on the dike. Very close to Schellinkhout is the city Hoorn. Hoorn is very historic and has many good restaurants and cafés. Bianca can rent you the city guide to explore Hoorn by a 100 min walk. Don´t forget to mention the alpacas, I guess it was our personal highlight. Alpacas will bring a smile on each face.

Very neat room with kitchenette with coffee and tea. Slept wonderfully under alpaca wool duvets. Had a nice tour with the alpaca family, what a nice animal! Bianca is very hospitable, the next day we had a delicious breakfast with home-made yogurt, cheese, jam and warm sandwiches. Nice place in the beautiful Schellinkhout on the IJsselmeer!

I drove quite spontaneously with a girlfriend for a day to Amsterdam and looked for a good and not too expensive accommodation. Via Airbnb I was offered the accommodation of Bianca and her farm with the alpacas. After reading through the good reviews (which are all legitimate), I thought to myself that I would just try it. And I have to say it or we were not disappointed. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast with some food from our own production was very balanced and above all delicious. I can only recommend it to anyone here to stay overnight.

Loved our stay here. Great hosting by Monique. The children loved the go-karts and the animals. Beautiful area and easy to get train into Amsterdam. If you want to go to Anne Frank House make sure you book online first. Would recommend a trip to Zuiderzee museum.

With few practical precautions Gerda still opened her home during the time of Corona. The stay was pleasant as always and we said goodbye hoping to meet again under different circumstances.

Enkhuizen is a beautiful town and Gerda is very hospitable. And communication was excellent and flexible. It is in the old town in an authentic cottage. Coffee and tea in the room and The room has a view of the garden and is near the harbor and the sailing boats, a comfortable bed, I slept wonderfully. Thanks for everything.

Gerda has a lovely place in the center of Enkhuizen. The room is very comfortable and Gerda is a great host, making sure you enjoy your stay and know your way around.

A few days enjoyed this cozy cottage on the water. It is so idyllic. You can also see the water rippling from the inside. Very special. You sit very privately at the end of the garden where only the occasional chicken roams by or the cat comes along to give extended cups. Olga is very cordial and was very willing to make us happy. Beds (2 single) are wonderful with fresh sheets. Great shower. From the house you can directly cross the bridge and walk straight into the green polder. We discovered the best pancake restaurant ever at 15 minutes walking distance (Villa greeting). In short ... recommended!

A lovely private area in the garden on the water with a boat. It is very quiet there, so if you want to relax then this is a great place to go. The bus stop is a 20-minute walk from the boathouse. It was a glamping experience for us, we thought it was luxurious despite the fact that there was no running water :) Shower and toilet are in the house, but that did not negatively influence the nice experience for us. The breakfast was super, more than enough for the 2 of us. A nicer experience than a hotel in town :)

The small boathouse is at the water in the garden, and i love it. For work i had to be in the neighbourhood, and it was only a 25 minute bike - ride from train station Hoorn. The next morning it was an easy bike - ride to and back from work, and the second day i headed to the train station again. Amazing neighbourhood with all the old farms and remodelled farms; a girl gets to dream a weekend about living outside the city! Olga is a superhost in my eyes. As a host myself I totally recommend this boathouse bnb. I can imagine i'd come back to get some work at the computer done in a most idyllic way! The water, the birds, the boat drifting in the stream..

Charming and quiet, good walking and biking. The boathouse is right on a small canal with bird life all around. Binoculars thoughtfully provided. Breakfasts were delicious, bed was very comfortable, wonderful sheets and towels!

We’ve spent 6 days in the boathouse and we had an amazing time. Our host Olga really took care of us. Whenever we need something she helped us out. That was very friendly and nice from her. The boathouse itself was bigger than we expected it to be and it was very cozy in the evenings because of the fireplace. The boathouse and the bathroom were super clean. There always were fresh towels and shampoo etc. The breakfast we got every morning was very delicious and made with love. All in all Oudendijk is a romantic and calm little place with peaceful nature and we would recommend it to everyone who’s looking for some relaxed days.

The Boathouse has exceeded all expectations and shown us a beautiful part of Holland. The host Olga is a lovely lady who knows how to put on a breakfast! The scenery and feel of the airbnb made my partner and I feel really at home. The fire place kept us cosy while the bike ride kept us adventurous. Would highly reccomend for people who want to truely feel like they are on holiday.

We enjoyed our stay with Bianca and the alpacas very much. Nice, spacious room in a nice and quiet landscape close to the pleasant town of Hoorn. A good base to explore the nice surroundings, but also to unwind. We were received very hospitable (including a delicious breakfast) and had the feeling that we could always come by to ask something. Bianca is an amazing host, always helpful and communicates very fast and clear. She let us check-in very late (around 10 PM) and greeted us upon our arrival and showed the room and explained us about the place. Bianca's place is very neat and clean. Her farm is great and we had a nice time with her Alpacas, and our little one just loved them. She also was kind to explain us about her farm (about Alpacas - their food, breeding, shearing etc.) and also showed us her barn. She also has a cute dog (teddy) with whom my daughter was happy to play with. The breakfast was good, with own produce from her farm! I'm not sure about the nearby public transport as we were having a car. overall, we had a very good experience and highly recommend this place.

Arda is amazing. Hoorn is very beautiful and I am glad that by visiting Arda we stumbled upon this beautiful city which isn't that well known compared to other Dutch cities. Very worth the trip from Amsterdam. Arda, however, is next level. Outstanding Airbnb, outstanding hospitality, she was extremely joyful and welcoming. Her house is awesome, the room has great views over two local canals, surrounding suburbs are charming and the bed is comfy! I think it's definitely one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at and one of the best hosts I ever had to interact with (and I use Airbnb a lot). If you're thinking, don't. Arda's place is worth every penny. We hope to be back one day!

Perfect little place for us and our 2 kids, 1 and 3 years old. They LOVED the animals and being able to see them from where we stayed. Kitty and Rens were very hospitable hosts. The breakfast was amazing, very pleasant and comfortable stay. Nice neighborhood. Looking forward to a stay here in the summer time. The sheep and cows were adorable, and they were happy to answer any questions and educate us about their lives on the farm.

Fantastic place which I can really recommend!

As well as being a clean comfortable space, this is a boat watchers paradise. It is very close to the city center, but we found we spent a lot of time in the wheelhouse or on deck watching the activity in the harbor. Liesbeth gave us a good tip about a couple of authentic cosy bars just down the street. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Joke and Louis are some of the loveliest people I've ever met. The room is spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious, and the house has a beautiful large garden to relax in. They have awesome friendly dogs too! I truly felt at home here. Do yourself a favor and stay!!

This tiny house is perfect for a romantic getaway! Cosy 'bedstee', small space but complete in all the needed comforts. The interior is made by hand by the owners and the level of detail is amazing. Very neat finishing on everything! Even (or especially in times of bad weather) this tiny house is a very comfortable retreat. The hosts are warm and polite and provide an amazing breakfast. I was especially surprised by the small touches like something to drink and nibble on being provided. Even the cutest two person applepie! Would definitely go back if I needed to work in the area again

We spend a wonderful, relaxing day in Karels & Maaykes tiny house. We felt very welcome by them. One highlight when we arrived was Maaykes home made apple pie that she has made for us. So delicious! The tiny house is beautiful and you will find everything inside that you need. There is a huge and cozy bed. A little TV. You can make tea and coffee. And there is a very clean, little bathroom. What you should definitely try when staying in the tiny house is going on a canoe trip. The best way to just enjoy the beautiful landscape around Oostwoud. The trip ended with a home made breakfast in Karels and Maaykes beautiful garden. Thank you for the wonderful trip! We would love to come back soon.

We slept wonderfully in the box bed of the Tiny House. It was no problem that we arrived at night, after our wedding. Maaike and Karel had welcomed us personally and prepared a bottle of bubbles. The breakfast was super with fresh, homemade treats.

Location was amazing, 1 min walking distance to Venice Beach, and the hospitality was even better - Karel was very welcoming and friendly, there were towels for the beach and bikes to borrow to ride on the boardwalk. Perfect for my last night in LA after being there a business trip. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place to unwind. It is quiet and everything you need is available. Everything has been thought of! The box bed is wonderful and very nice that you do not have to leave the house for the shower and toilet. In the morning I was spoiled with an extensive breakfast! Very nice that the breakfast varied every day. In short, highly recommended!

The place is awesome. Eventhough the bus stop is a bit far away, host helped us a lot. Djonina is a very friendly and knows a lot about the place and the history. I definitely recommend this for couples and for leisure holiday seekers

Staying at Dirkje’s house was one of the highlights of our trip to the Netherlands. The house is spacious, well equipped, very comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. It has a lovely relaxed feel that made us feel right at home straight away, and gave us an idea of the family’s environmental and self sufficiency goals. The double height sitting room was really comfortable, stylish and my wife and kids loved playing the Clavinova piano. Very nice espresso machine in the kitchen too! What makes the place unique are the enormous grounds, with lots of relaxed, natural areas for sitting, football, and just messing around - the veggie gardens, fruit trees and greenhouses (which we were kindly invited to pick from) were great. And of course the pizza oven...a real treat! (Our tip...make a big fire, our second go with loads more wood was much more successful!). There’s lots to do in the area e.g. bike rides into the pretty coastal town of Hoorn, or along the dykes and country roads, or watching the kite surfers at the local beach in Schellinkhout. We didn’t get to meet Dirkje or family as they were away on holiday, but she is a very generous host, and communication was really easy. Highly recommended!

With 7 people plus baby we had a great time in Dirkje's house and garden. 4 large bedrooms, large, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful living room and a huge garden with fruit, vegetables, pizza oven ... There you will find much more than your heart desires, and you can feel good even in bad weather. The surfing spot is not far away, and if you move further away, Hoorn is a good way to get to Amsterdam by train. Without ifs and buts absolutely to be recommended, whether with friends or with family!

The house is great ! We enjoyed everything second of our vacations at Dirkje's place... Let's enjoy space for kids, great environment with a beatifull garden and amazing vegetables and fruits ! Nice little beach 10mn hiking and great cycling path everywhere. Thank you for the attention of loaning us the bikes, which we took fully advantage of ! And special thanks to the neighbours who were also very attentive to our needs during your absence. :)

We all really enjoyed week in Dirkje's house. You will find there everything what you could need in your household, in every badroom or bathroom or kitchen. Besides, our kids were playing piano, used the trampoline and we could take fruits and vegetable from really big garden, also with football ground. We also did a number of bike trips... Schellinkhout is a lovely and quiet village, close to coast as well as close to the city.

Dirkje is a great host and her place is exceptional. Highly recommended for a great family holiday, especially if you like riding bikes. Location is quiet and near the beach. Only a short ride to Hoorn where you can also get the train to Amsterdam in only 30 minutes. We had a brilliant time! Thanks Dirkje.

Excellent site ... Bernadette was very friendly and the site very beautiful. The facilities in excellent condition ... it is a different place and it hurts not to be able to these more days.

The camping is a fantastic place to stay when you want to experience different faces of the Netherlands - it's in the village, so you can see how the farm works, it's close to Hoorn, so you can experience a small Dutch town and there's a very convenient train connection to Amsterdam from Hoorn, to see all the attractions of the city! The hosts are exteremely helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. The camping is a peaceful place to take a rest after Dutch adventures :) it's also very clean and equipped with everything you can imagine you would need :) highly reccomend!

Really beautiful!

We had a great time at Anna's, the building we stayed in is right in the middle of the fields, next to a beautiful windmill and surrounded by sheep, hares, ducks, geese and many beautiful birds. The sunrise and sunset you could see from the windows were quite something, and it didn't feel like just 30-40 minutes drive from central Amsterdam. Well worth a visit and recommended! There's no kitchen/sink in the room but there's cutlery/cups, a water dispenser, a small fridge, a oven toaster and a kettle available.

We stayed overnight in this beautiful location with lots of peace and space. We were warmly welcomed and gradually our stay was well thought about activities. Hugely enjoyed, certainly worth repeating!

Lovely stay at an absolutely beautiful location. We had a great time and it was nice to stay outside of Amsterdam to get away from the big city scene. Very relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortably (as others have stated - it is true). The cafe downstairs was darling and the coffee and pastries were great. Would absolutely love to come back! I highly suggest a stay here.

An amazing place! The little house looks IRL even better than on the pictures. So much love to the detail, great interior design, nice quality and sooooo much comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is spacious, new and spotless clean (the shower even has underfloor heating), the bed very comfortable and the little fireplace makes for very cosy nights at home. Danielle and her husband are perfect hosts who were always available for questions but never intrusive. The house is in their backyard but due to clever gardening/planting, you have all the privacy you need. The location is really nice, too: with our car it took us only 10 minutes to Hoorn and 1 hour to Texel. It would have been only 30 minutes to Amsterdam. All the same, you are in a very serene surrounding with lots of nature around. Thanks for everything, we will surely be back!

I can only recommend it Corry and Paul are a very friendly and friendly couple who welcomes their guests very warmly and family-oriented and with information and tips always at the side of the guests. The Hausi is small but fine, everything you need and very clean. You can only feel good and feel at home. And only the breakfast that is a hammer. Corry was a very lovely host and we and our dog felt very welcome. Altough it was raining a lot we felt very cozy in this tiny house with its lovely furniture. Also the garden was very beautiful!

Gerard was super fast with communication which is such a bonus and said to msg if we needed anything! Clean accommodation and with a good bed. Washing machine and dryer very handy. Location is suburban, approx a 30min walk to Hoorn centre so recommend you rent bicycles and make like the locals :) Thanks Gerard!

A very nice apartment by the canal with a beautiful living room and fully equipped kitchen. It’s 2 min walk from horn kersenboogerd train and bus station. Supermarket and restaurants also at 2 min walk. Hoorn is 2 min by train, 10 min by bus, 30 min by walk. Amsterdam central and Schiphol airport are approx. 40 min away
