The Brook is equidistant from St Agnes, Porthtowan and Portreath with their stunning beaches with fabulous surf and acres of golden sand. Porthtowan (meaning cove of sand dunes) has some of the best surf in the UK. However it is sometimes not for the faint hearted and beginners should be careful but there is an excellent surf school which operates from the beach. Portreath (meaning cove of sand) is a delightful village which extends both sides of a valley leading down into a little harbour and beach. West of the harbour entrance are two more beaches with golden sands that are popular with holidaymakers and surfers alike. The centre point on the Bissoe cycle trail that links the north and south coasts stretching from Devoran to Portreath. with predominantly off road mining trails passes the end of your drive - no driving required at all!.Tin - the powerhouse of Cornwall's industrial past. Oak wooded, heather topped valleys with crystal streams once throbbed with the racket of tin streaming - winning precious metals. Engine houses and stacks bear stark, romantic testament to a heritage borne of the bravery and determination of generations of miners and Bal maidens. The area of Mid Cornwall, south west from Truro and only a short drive inland from Falmouth is full of this industrial heritage. The Victorian towns of Camborne and Redruth - both produced world-class inventors and engineers. Camborne's Richard Trevithick created the world's first steam-powered road engine in 1801. His achievements are celebrated at Camborne's annual Trevithick Day celebrations in April. You can follow in the footsteps of Cornwall's 18th Century tin miners on the atmospheric tour of the Poldark Mine just north of Helston.Nearby is Stithians Lake, for fishing, sailing, sailboarding and recently the stunning wake-boarding championships. For views of the whole region take the roads to Carn Brea or Carn Marth above Camborne. From here you can see St Ives, St Michael's Mount, Falmouth and east to Clay Country. Near here is the Great Flat Lode Trail through the mines and high moors. These days, most of the mining has disappeared, but it is still a fascinating area to explore and is steeped in history. A highlight is to hire a bicycle and ride along the old mineral tramway now called the Bissoe Trail from Devoran to Portreath or the North Coast. The harbour town of Falmouth is within a short drive with a number of attractions for the visitor. There is the fascinating National Maritime Museum or you can take a boat trip around the spectacular Carrick Roads or sample the stylish Rick Stein's Fish & Chip Restaurant or Oyster Bar.The Helford River and Lizard Peninsula are also within easy reach. The city of Truro is only a 7 mile drive to the north east and has a wide selection of good shopping including a Tescos, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer and many other high street outlets. There is also a cinema and a great selection of restaurants, pubs & cafes. The resort of Newquay is about 12 miles to the north with its spectacular surf beaches at Fistral & Watergate Bay. Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" restaurant is located here. Padstow, with its fine selection of restaurants influenced by Rick Stein is just over 20 miles. Harbourside towns & villages such as Fowey, Falmouth & St Mawes are all within easy reach. For those flying to Cornwall, the airport is within easy reach.
  • Extremely clean and tidy, all the little extras that make a stay a pleasure

  • We really enjoyed our stay at The Brook! Bev & John were so hospitable and friendly, they helped us with our plans and were always on hand if we needed them. The Brook had great facilities and was a great base for us to explore southern Cornwall, due to it's central location. The house is so private, the hot tub was a great addition after a long day exploring. Thankyou for a great stay!

  • Highly recommend the Hideaway as a place to stay. You will not be disappointed. Spotless and clean and perfectly located for both local and further afield sight seeing. The little touches made our stay even better. Milk on arrival for a welcome and much needed coffee. Map for local dog walking and to get to the beach. Details of local points of interest. Concise instructions for heating system use and plenty of games, books, card games and Wii for down time plus Netflix. Sarah and Neil are perfect hosts. I had technical issues whilst booking which resulted in my reservation only stating 1 person instead of the 3 of us. One call and Sarah had everything sorted out. Will definitely choose to stay again.

  • Great place to stay, Sarah has added many lovely touches. Very comfortable and warm and close to shops, beaches and a local parkrun. Many things to keep you entertained during the cold winter months, Netflix, Wii, books, jigsaws, games, colouring books and toys. Although attached to owners it is very private. Ideal for dogs too, all on level and wooden floors which is ideal for muddy paws. Lovely hot shower.

  • Everything was perfect. The apartment is part of a big house and very spacious. You find everything you need: Nice atmosphere, an open kitchen, a comfy sofa, an even comfier bed, ...and the location is good also, next to a supermarket, the pedestrian area, and the train station. I enjoyed my stay and can recommend the place. And thanks for sending me my shirt, which I forgot ;)

    Mohammad Tanzeel2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place, with a lot of character, sparkling clean and very welcoming space! Just around the corner from high street and all buses or train station to explore the area! Will definitely try and visit again!

  • A lovely spatious flat with amazing finishing touches, welcoming and ideally located for exploring both coasts.

    Ioana2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was very easy to find, right in the centre of Redruth and close to the station. The place has a great, unique and friendly atmosphere and character; (obviously once part of a quite big grand house). Gaining access was simple. Lots of space! Huge living room/kitchen and a big bathroom. Very comfortable!

    Adam2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, lovely apartment! Sparkling clean, check in was simple and car parking was no issue at all. Only a 15 minute drive to the coast for the most amazing walks. For food and/or beer I’d recommend driftwood spars in St Agnes. Can’t wait to come back to the area again.

    Alec2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming little flat in central Redruth with a well equipped kitchen, a comfy living area, a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. It has a private entrance in a little courtyard area so the location is very quiet. The Flat is just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations so not need to get a taxi unless you have a ton of luggage. There is no laundry facility in the flat (that I now of) but the Scrub Inn was approximately a 10 minutes walk away. Prompt communication and a straight forward check-in/check-out. I thoroughly enjoyed having this as a central base from which to explore Truro, St. Ives and St. Agnes. I didn't eat out much but there were a few nice coffee shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. I'd happily stay here again!

  • Your home is located a few meters from the city center, with everything you need very close. His house is very nice and warm and has two very sociable and funny cats. As for Naomi, she is always predisposed to help you with whatever you need. I would definitely go back again.

    Juan2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Naomi was as bright, sparkling and welcoming as her stylish flat. Totally recommend a stay there

    Amanda2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Naomi is a superb host, you will feel at home!

    Eduardo2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as I walked in to Naomi’s flat, she made me feel instantly at home. She is an absolutely gorgeous person inside and out, and made me feel like I was visiting a friend!! Her place is absolutely beautiful, and much more spacious than I was expecting- it is “cosy”, but that refers to the ambiance Naomi creates, not the size of the place. She went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed (even picking me up some paracetamol from the shop!!) and I only wish I’d found her place for my previous visits to Cornwall. Her cats are gorgeous too, and Esther and I enjoyed a lovely cuddle on the sofa whilst watching Netflix!! Thank you Naomi, I really do hope we cross paths again one day. Xxx

  • Excellent flat, just what we needed for a weekend away

    Hannah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a 2 bedroom flat at the top of Redruth town centre - perfect for the shops but you are also not far from the beach by car. The rooms were airy and bright, and everything there that you would possibly need. The little touches like the bottle of local elderflower juice and the Cornish biscuits were a lovely little treat after a long drive to get to Cornwall. I really appreciated other little things like the washing up liquid and handwash that were left for us to use - so nice not having to go out and buy these things when you are away. And the pint of milk was great so we could have a cuppa when we arrived!!

    Julia2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay very clean and great facilities. Great location that allowed us to explore surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • We had nice cosy and comfortable stay. Apartment was clean and tidy as described! Big plus we had 2 bathrooms. We had Netflix and Amazon Prime together with internet we watch on rainy days or evenings. The flat is big and well equipped. Redruth is a great town to stay in and is ideal location, with easy access to the A30. The apartment is next to the train station which is brilliant to get to St Ives without worrying about the car. You just park & ride and get to St Ives in 10 mins by train with stunning coastal view. Redruth is close to some amazing places to visit. We visited St Ives, Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe, Charlestown, Newquay, Penryn, Maenporth, St Agnes, Holywell Bay, Perranporth … Great Place. Would highly recommend! Thanks Lucy.

  • This is a great apartment for a small family and the host provides you with good extras like coffee, milk, toilet roll etc. Redruth is a great town to stay in and is close to some amazing places to visit (and not too far from others for the travelling types). There are plenty of good places to eat within a 5 mile radius and the supermarkets are a reasonable drive. Enjoy!

Lovely south facing miners cottage in a tucked away spot. Ideal for either a couple with two children, or two couples, as the single beds can be joined to make a super king bed. Beautiful quiet walks direct from the door. The Coast to Coast cycle path is just up the road, and plenty of quiet lanes around to enjoy cycling on. Various beautiful beaches are just a 5 - 10 minute car journey away.
The cottage is situated near to beaches, walks and cycle tracks. There are plenty of beaches in easy reach: Porthtowan is the closest, and is just 5 minutes away in the car, with surf, sand and some fab cafes. It’s really easy to get to other beautiful beaches close by too, both South and North coast. There is a wealth of local paths for walking, so making up routes of varying lengths is easy. There’s also engine houses to see, a working viaduct and plenty of nature. As we are just 5 minutes drive from the coast path stunning cliff walks are easily accessible. We are an easy 5-10 minutes cycle ride from the famous Coast to Coast cycle path. We love to cycle to Portreath beach at the end of the path and get a pasty and ice cream! If you enjoy something with a few more challenges then Unity woods and Poldice valley, where there are jumps and steep descents are just off the Coast to Coast trail nearby. There are quiet lanes to cycle round too, so there are many beautiful routes to do. There is a Rowes pasty shop just up the road, a Prima pasty shop just down the road and if you just want a 2 minute stroll to get a pasty then the village shop does them too. The Red Lion pub is a short stroll down the road in Blackwater, serving good pub grub, and now doing takeaway! Truro is a 15 minute drive away, or there is easy access to the park and ride service 5 minutes away. If you don't like to be out and about then sit in and enjoy the super cosy log burner, or sit in the sun and listen to the birds sing in the garden! If you wish to bring your dog the front garden is a fully enclosed space.
  • Beautiful well equipped and cosy cottage in a great location for exploring the local area and Cornwall! Fantastic communication and hosting too!

    Stephen2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and relaxing stay, near to beaches and good access to A30 for traveling further afield. Friendly and attentive host who allowed us all the space we wanted but was on hand for advise if required. The coziest living room in the land! Open the bedroom window a.m for bird song and watch them bathe in the neighbors bird bath! We would certainly return.

The Stable House is a converted 18th century stable, on the historic Scorrier Estate. The private house has a large open-plan kitchen which leads onto an stunning old cobbled stable yard where barbecues can be had. It can be rented as a whole.
The Stable House is in the epicenter of 'Poldark Country and within a World Heritage site. It sits within the Scorrier Estate - home of the Williams family whose fortunes were made in mining. While Scorrier House remains private - except for weddings and other functions - guests can tour its historic garden. The Stable House has been recently refurbished to a high standard with 5 en-suite bedrooms with The White Company bed linen - two doubles and three twins. The huge kitchen/sitting room is ideal for groups at the same time as being homely and inviting. There is a continental breakfast welcome pack. Barbecues can be had in the old stable yard.
Scorrier sits roughly in the centre of Cornwall, so all the county's attractions are within comfortable driving distance. Closer to home (3 miles) is the North Cornish coast with its world-class surfing beaches (Porthtowan, Chapel Porth, St Agnes) approx 3 miles One of Cornwall's more famous bicycle routes, the Coast-to-Coast mineral tramway, is at the bottom of our drive. This links Deveron on Cornwall's south coast with Portreath on the north. Bikes can be hired locally. This also a very good jogging route. Nearby walks and bike trails are aplenty as are beaches - the north coast for surfing and the south for sailing and fishing (Mylor Famouth) St Ives, Penzance and Mousehole. are also not far with their wonderful art and the Tate Gallery. Truro is near with its good shops and resturants. Do please ask to walk round the gardens, at their best in spring.
  • All the reviews we read were very positive prior to going to this house and they were all very true. Very clean, airy, well laid out and the hosts were very responsive. The directions with pics are thorough but you do need to follow them to ensure you arrive at the correct house. Plenty enough space for all 10 of us with each room having it's own ensuite. Would definitely return

  • Lovely quiet location, the house was spacious for us as 7 adults and 4 children and the kitchen was well equipped. It was warm, bright and a lovely space for us to have family time together. Great location with lots to do nearby. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom had an en suite which was ideal. Would definitely stay again!

  • Wonderful spacious accommodation in the converted stable house in the grounds of Scorrier House, which has its own lovely gardens which we were able to explore. The property is located close to the lovely beach at Porthowan and easy to access many other amenities. Plenty of room for 2 families and amazing that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Caroline was very welcoming. A great time was had by all of us. Highly recommended

  • We had a fantastic stay and we strongly recommend Scorrier house. Caroline was a fantastic host and we found the house clean and Every facility, as advertised. • Perfect for 2 of us as an overnight stay for a function at nearby hotel. Central heating installed so warm, cosy and comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen and separate toilet to shower which is helpful. Great location with Tesco opposite. Far enough from main house to feel like your own holiday home. Just watch out for the drive, it is very narrow on a bend if you have a big car it could be difficult!

  • Very clean, Very comfortable, would stay here again

    Amanda2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a stopover. For us on our bike tour it was really convenient having Tesco opposite for supplies. There is some road noise but it did not disturb us at all. For two of us it was very spacious, I think if 5 stayed it would be rather cramped. Definitely room for a child though. It has a little garden with fruit trees, and it is private and not overlooked. Well equipped kitchen, large shower, plenty of hot water and central heating. We didn't meet Tracey but the communication was excellent. Would recommend.

  • Great place to stay.Lovely hostess.Short walk to town about ten minutes. The eggs, bread, butter &milk were a nice touch as was the shampoo &shower gel.Only downside was the road which was a little noisy.

The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped with everything we needed for a weeks half-term family autumn holiday. I would recommend this place to others.

  • Well equipped cottage. Nice and clean. Very close to Redruth town centre. Double yellow lines outside, but was easy to put emergency flashers on to unload and load our car. We used local side streets to park overnight and during the day sometimes. Good location to get to various parts of Cornwall. Would stay here again in the future.

  • A little treasure of loveliness in a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Central and easy to get around. The space is full of all that you need to make your visit just perfect including a welcome hamper of goodies. Loved the upway down house so you can get the best of the gorgeous gardens light and air. A truly gorgeous setting in quite honestly a luxurious surround. Nothing was too much trouble for Gary and Adele who were just great hosts. Could not recommend more

  • Great stay

    Laurence2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gary and Adele are wonderfully welcoming hosts who are incredibly helpful to making the stay as comfortable as possible. The annexe is very likely the best place we have ever stayed at through Airbnb - brand-new, spotless clean, it has all the amenities you need, it's spacious yet cosy, beautifully furnished with eye for detail, and the surrounding gardens are lush. The central location in Chacewater makes it the perfect place to visit the entire Cornwall peninsula. It's a perfect place to visit the whole of Cornwall from, or to just relax and stay in and enjoy the gardens. We tried to have a mix of both. We'd definitely want to come back.

Room with en-suite and excellent shower loved by our previous guests plus use of kitchenette area with microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, sink, storage space and cutlery crockery etc. Private entrance.Free Parking. Beautiful beaches within three miles. Train/bus . Lovely double room, in friendly home. 10 miles from Truro, Which is Cornwall's capital city. Within easy reach of the gorgeous Cornish coast and attractions. Beautiful sandy beaches nearby, brilliant for surfing or just relaxing. Good restaurants and lovely Cornish Pasties available locally! We have friendly dogs but these don't have access to your private accommodation. We are friendly and will make you feel at home. and can offer advice about what to see and do locally. We can offer support as needed but will also respect your privacy. We live in a quiet avenue, near woods and three miles from a beautiful beach. Train station and small town is approximately two miles away. Bus service within five minutes walk. Double settee in room . We have dogs so room not suitable for those with dog allergies. Sadly (for us) they are now building houses in the fields behind the house. We hope this won't interrupt your stay, as they are not particularly noisy.....and your bedroom is towards the front of the bungalow.
Redruth has easy access to the wonderful miles of local coastline, amazing rural walks and gorgeous beaches. It is ten miles to the capital city of Truro. We live on a quiet avenue. Over this next year there will be building going on at the end of our back garden as bungalows are bring erected there. We have not found there to be any undue noise. We would recommend you visit St Ives which is quaint and beautiful, St Michael's Mount, Falmouth, Truro and Lands End plus some of the numerous beaches and coastline nearby. We are only five minutes from the A30 so access by car to all these places is easy.

  • Helen was a great host and she made me feel very welcome. The place was very clean/tidy and kept very warm. Its situated in a nice quiet area which suited me very well. Helen checked on me regularly to make sure everything was fine. On the day I travelled to Cornwall, there were train problems. Helen kept in touch with me and picked me up at the train station at 11pm! On my last day I was dropped at the train station. Great hosts, great place and highly recommended.

Stay in a secluded farmhouse set within a UNESCO world heritage site in the Cornish countryside. Within easy reach of numerous blue flag beaches and the popular towns of Truro, Falmouth and St Ives, this is an ideal base to explore the highlights of Cornwall. The house is tastefully designed and furnished throughout providing a relaxing space to unwind after a long day surfing, cycling or simply exploring the stunning coastline. The large garden is ideal for soaking up the Cornish sun.
Inside, the house offers a bright kitchen dinner with modern appliances including a dishwasher. A comfortable lounge with a wood burner is an ideal space to relax in after a day of exploring the Cornish sites. There is also formal dining room. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is also a downstairs W.C. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and a bathroom with both a shower and a bath. Outside you will find a patio dining area with a BBQ, located near the kitchen to enjoy some AlFresco dining in the long summer evenings. A generous, well established private garden is provides a secluded spot to relax. At the bottom of the garden is a pond which is shared with Charlie and George, our resident ducks! Due to the rural nature of the property access is via a narrow single track lane wide enough for a 4x4.
Despite its rural and secluded feel, the house is in walking distance of small village with amenities including convenience stores, pubs, butcher and deli, not to mention a reasonable pasty. It is within easy reach of the cathedral city of Truro, and the more arty towns of Falmouth and St Ives.
  • We had a great stay in this very tastefully decorated farmhouse. We stayed during fierce storms, but we were very cosy in the house, and grateful for the log burner. There are lots of thoughtful touches, such as providing dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, and even hand lotion. Our two boys aged 6 and 9 had plenty of space to play in. We loved the location, as so many different parts of Cornwall are easily reached. Even though here is an adjoining house, you are not overlooked at all, and with the large and well cared-for garden we felt wonderfully secluded. We happened upon festivities in the nearest village, which was lots of fun. We didn't meet our hosts, but they provided comprehensive and helpful instructions, plus a phone number if we needed them. All in all, a lovely break.

  • Ruby Farm is a beautiful cottage in a super location. The cottage is amazing beautiful touches of quality & luxury. The kitchen is bespoke & real quality with a super utility room with washer & dryer - the sitting room has a fabulous log burner comfortable seating & furnishings - dining room is large & has a lovely chair to escape & read - bedrooms have luxurious bedding & room for clothing - bathroom has great shower over bath & super soft towels - the garden is a joy even in the wettest weather & the 2 ducks became firm friends! Thank you Jessica & Stuart for being accommodating & quick to respond - we have had a truly lovely holiday.

    Andrea2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely place to stay! Firstly, the location is really good. It's incredibly quick and easy to get to either coast, and to any sites in the region. Secondly, the house is lovely, beautifully appointed, spacious, very clean and with a light, bright style. Loved the ducks in the garden, and the table and chairs on the patio which catch the sun in the morning. It might be helpful to know the lane up to Ruby Farm is fairly steep with a sharp bend; we managed fine in our car, but a long vehicle might not manage it, I'd check with the owner first.

    Claire2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location to explore every nook of Cornwall! We had a great weeks stay at Ruby Farm. We were super impressed with the huge kitchen and garden, ideal to bring back some of Cornwalls fine produce to cook/ BBQ in the evenings. Jess & Stuart however have the best foodie recommendations so definitely try to squeeze in as many of those as possible. The property is beautifully decorated, the large garden kept our toddlers entertained first thing and in the evenings. We would definitely highly recommend and visit again. Thank you both!

Sloe Barn is a 200 year old rustic, open plan, top floor only, basic barn conversion in the heart of the wild and stunning North Cornish coast. 1.5 miles from Porthtowan beach, it's set within a working family home and smallholding with log burner, sofas and king size bed.
Sloe Barn is an ancient and rustic barn, the top half of which is partially converted into a basic, large, open plan room with log burner and slate hearth in one corner surrounded by 2 snuggly sofas. You will find a fridge, kettle and toaster (no kitchen/cooking facilities) and large pine farmhouse table, a comfy king size bed with feather and down duvet/pillows and a basic en-suite shower room with electric shower, loo and hand basin. The basin currently has only cold water but there is hot water from the electric shower permanently. (plans to put in a hot water tap soon!) The walls are traditional bare Cornish granite. The barns is double glazed and its sole heating is with the 9kw log burner but there is an oil fired radiator should you get chilly. Towels, breakfast of granola/fruit/bread for toasting, tea/coffee making facilities and log burner starter kit all provided along with access to wifi. You are more than welcome to have a glass of wine in the garden/field of an evening if you so choose but we prefer it to be mainly a place for you to spend the night as this part of Cornwall has so much to offer during the day, but all within reason of course - you are more than welcome to eat breakfast in one of the many nooks and crannies of the various gardens! The views from the top of the barn steps over the valley and fields with grazing animals are truly open and fabulous, as is the sunset. The space downstairs is simply storage for the clutter of home life and not accessible to guests. Upstairs in the barn is normally used as hubby's office space/a bit of storage when not being stayed in - rustic and basic it may be, but a lovely space it certainly is - we hope you'll agree!
We are in the middle of nowhere - peaceful, secluded but utterly accessible to most of what Cornwall has to offer. 3 mins drive from Porthtowan beach, 10 mins from St Agnes (if that), close enough to get to the A30 fast but without the drone. Skinners Bottom is a hamlet in the middle of a small triangle of three villages - all with shops, pubs and post office facilities! An amazing farm shop/bakers/butchery school is just a 2 mins drive away with some say the best Cornish pasties and selection of local produce this part of Cornwall has to offer! The wild north Cornish coast awaits your hiking shoes/surfboards/bikes for adventures a'plenty!
  • Lovely location, close to the coast and very much in the country.

  • A great place to get away from it all, and just chill.

    Craig2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The space is the perfect mix of rustic and modern; its open plan meets cosy. The fire is so relaxing to unwind by, the bed is wonderful, and the views are spectacular of the surrounding countryside. A five minute drive from St Agnes was great for getting a coastal walk or maybe getting into the water too! The hosts were lovely. We felt catered for, yet without intrusion. I truly reccommend Sloe Barn and Bee and Tom as hosts

  • I cannot fault the accommodation at all. From the start Sharon was quick to respond to my questions and made booking very easy. When I arrived Sharon and her husband greeted me and made me welcome. Sharon showed me the room and explained all that was required. The room was spotless and well appointed. Bed was comfortable as well. I also had the breakfast at a small additional cost but would highly recommend this and would say that you won’t be hungry after and was a great start to my day. I look forward to staying here on my next visit to the area. Thank you again Sharon.

  • The host Sharon is very welcoming and went out of her way to drop me off at a local venue which was greatly appreciated. The room is spotlessly clean and comfortable, perfect for what I wanted. Would definitely return in the future.

  • Huge thanks to Naomi for her excellent hospitality - a pleasure to stay somewhere that was very comfortable and definitely a 'home from home'! I particularly appreciated the lift to my local venue in the morning after my stay. It's always lovely to have breakfast offered when the stay is only for one night and arrival time means that you can't buy any supplies - great breakfast too - exactly what I like to eat! I will certainly stay again if I am working in Redruth.

We could cook in the kitchen and rest in the leaving room. Cats were very friendly, but respected our privacy and did not bother us :) Naomi was very helpful and recommended us a few nice beaches in Cornwall. She is a very positive person, easy to be around with. Highly recommended!

Spacious and comfortable static caravan located near United Downs in Cornwall. Large living area and well equipped kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, toaster and fridge with freezer box. Lounge has 32 inch t.v. and Wi-Fi also available.
This is a lovely quiet area except when the stock cars are racing at the nearby raceway on Sunday daytime. Lots of walks and cycle routes in an area that has lots of mining history.
  • Very nice location, our host Gary was always quick to respond to queries, static was kitted out with everything we needed plus more, definate value for money and will be visiting again soon !!!!

  • Very clean van in a quiet location and even a cuppa and biccie there when arrived.

  • This is a wonderful little find. Tucked out of the way, it's so peaceful. It was lovely and clean and I was amazed with how powerful the shower was. Lots of room for all of us. Even when we blew the bulbs it was changed straight away. The place has excellent WiFi which is handy being so far out My favourite part was the handbook explaining all the cats names and markings. Even left us a bowl and cat food to feed them. Such a simple but most welcome touch when we were missing our furry ones! I'd highly recommend a stay here. My only complaint (something Gary can't control) is the weather. It let us down lol. Would have been lovely to use the bbq and patio area to relax in as it looked perfect for summer evenings! Will keep your place in mind for any family who come to visit. Many thanks Sara

On the outskirts of Redruth with excellent access to Falmouth, Truro and the A30. I live on my own and a lot of the time you will be sharing the property, although on certain dates the property will be available as an entire place to rent for the same price. I'm sociable but won't encroach on your space and will leave you to your own devices where you wish, but also happy to sit and chat, providing any local advice I can.
A cosy and warm new build home. The rented room is directly next door to the bathroom. Kitchen and living room are modern, comfy and a shared space with the live in landlord who is happy to socialise, or you can make use of the amazon prime and Netflix in your bedroom. The spare room is also used for some storage of landlords belongings in cupboards, so it may not feel like a hotel room with empty wardrobes, but is comfy and there is plenty of space and is private. I have only lived in the property a year and am still making the place a home, so there may be some nuances like the badly chosen blinds in the spare room which don't block the street light glare entirely. To make up for this I provide an eye mask or another cunning trick which may not look brilliant but does the trick. Just trying to be honest, but hope this doesn't detract from what is a comfy and welcoming home.
In a quiet cul de sac on the edge of town. Walking distance from amenities but in a quiet position with good access to all main routes.

Ideal if you love cycling or walking, as the 'Hut' is situated in a peaceful 'Poldark' location of Poldice Valley with world heritage tin mines a short walk away. We are directly on the national cycle route, half way between Devoran and Portreath and very central. Where ever you go in Cornwall, we are only a short distance away. You can also catch a bus and enjoy taking in the Cornish scenery. The local village of St Day is only a 7 minute walk away and includes 2 general stores & 2 pubs.
The fully insulated cosy Hut has a wood burner for those chilly nights and a fire pit if you feel like star gazing. We will even start you off with some logs and you can purchase more if needed. The hut is equipped with a 2 ring gas burner, a fridge and all the essentials you need, you just have to supply the food and drink. Towels, bedding, tea, coffee & biscuits are included and we are always on hand if we have forgotten anything! *PLEASE NOTE the delux shower and toilet facilities are outside, but only a few feet away. Hair and showering products are provided. These facilities are shared with 1 other hut Our hens wander around freely and we have a very nosy cat that will come and visit you and say hello!!
The local village of St Day is only a 5 minute walk away. This traditional Cornish village has 2 well stocked shops and are open till late, 2 pubs (one serving food), a butcher/deli, a post office and a launderette.
  • We loved it so much at Kris & Kaana's beautiful cabin that they couldn't get rid of us and we ended up staying an extra two nights. The weather was grey and windy but we were really cosy tucked up in the cabin with the fire roaring and everything we needed, and Kris & Kaana were great hosts and nothing was too much bother. We had our bikes with us and the cabin was really close to some great cycling routes, including the coast-to-coast route from Devoran to Portreath which we made the most of. The facilities, including the very well equipped shower and toilet were great and everything was extremely clean and well appointed. Thanks so much for a great stay. Hopefully see you again sometime.

  • If you want to relax in the countryside, close to the beach and wild walks, and away from the hustle of modern life, i heartily recommend a stay at Kris & Kaana's shepherd huts. Our 4 year old loved having a big lawn to run around on, getting up close to sheep and chickens, and helping to build our own fire. Kris and Kaana have a lovely way with guests and with creating an inspiring space to relax in, in simple, comfortable and rustic surroundings. Definitely hope to visit again. Thanks

  • If you want a quite countryside retreat with a touch of quirky then don’t hesitate booking a stay here. Kris and Kaana are one of the nicest hosts my wife and I have met during our Airbnb stays. They go above and beyond just to make your stay as wonderful as possible, hosts like these are just as important to a stay as is the accommodation itself. We stayed in ‘The Hut’ it is a beautifully decorated living space for two people it’s perfect. You have to use the shower and toilet separate from the accommodation but this was never a problem and oh my word they are beautiful, very clean and as a person who always enjoys his own en-suite, I never thought twice about having to walk a few steps to the toilet and shower so don’t think of it as an issue. Staying here is a great place to visit and tour what Cornwall has to offer it’s close to so many wonderful places. As you can probably tell my wife and I loved it here and would definitely book here again. We can’t thank Kris and Kaana enough for making our anniversary a very special time. We can’t recommend this site enough.

  • A lovely, tranquil stay in a unique space! We loved being able to get to both the north and south coasts so easily. Kris and Kaana are great hosts and we will certainly recommend this place to friends!

  • Booked as a Christmas present for my mum and stepdad during their anniversary weekend, Kris and Kaana were so accommodating and easy to talk to. Wonderful place to stay, very happy parents!

  • I absolutely loved my stay in the hut! Kris and Kaana were incredible hosts and could not do enough for me! The location was so peaceful, the Hut was such a beautifully decorated and thoughtful space and I felt so looked after during my stay there! I highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to stay again! Thanks for your kindness and for creating a home away from home :)

  • Super cozy place, fantastic communication throughout and really great location. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in exploring the area and gladly stay again soon!

  • Kaana & Kris were great hosts - very friendly and communicative. The hut was just what we were looking for. A convenient location for both coasts and several towns, but with a real 'off-grid' feel perfect for getting away from modern distractions. We had wet and windy weather the entire time but the hut was warm and cosy and, as Kris advised, the rugged coast is great to witness under these circumstances. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking to switch off (literally) and explore Cornwall.

  • What a beautifully presented home... Clean, cosy and very convenient for the A30 and local supermarkets; Aldi and Tesco’s. We found 4G to be okay, but the WiFi was okay in the areas suggested (Lounge and front bedroom). We had a lovely stay while visiting our daughter at university down there and we would consider staying again. Thank you Lindsay, you’ve been so helpful and welcoming.

  • This is our 1st Airbnb as a family and we couldn’t over emphasise how much we all enjoyed our stay at Lindsay’s Villa. The place was superb, very clean and warm. There were spacious private car parking spaces in front of the villa for upto 3 cars. The location is so convenient for accessing ALDI supermarket, and less than 2 miles for accessing Lidl,Tesco,Morrison’s and Tesco’s. The TV in the villa has free view multichannels and Netflix if you have an account. We were able to watch tele, watch movies on our Netflix account and listen to music. The WiFi connection isn’t that strong in the house but worked perfectly when you sat in the big Sofa in the living area, and at times in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay at Coombe’s Villa and will highly recommend place to our friends who will be visiting Cornwall in future From Angela,Sam,Michelle and Nicole from SHEFFIED South Yorkshire.
