“If your up for a wonderful drive to see some of the most beautiful coastline in Maine this is the drive for you. As you drive down rt 24 stop at The Gurnet Trading Co and grab a lobster roll or fried haddock sandwich. Continue your way down rt 24 until you get to the Cribstone Bridge to Baily Island the only one of it's kind in the world. When you get to Lands End, you can dip your toes in the ocean and take in the fresh breeze. The gift shop has wonderful locally made products.”

Point of Interest
“This is the only granite cribstone bridge in the world. This unique bridge also spans Bailey and Orr's Islands and gives way to some spectacular views... but park before or after the bridge, because you'll need to pay attention as you drive over the narrow bridge.”

Trail
“ This trail winds through mixed forest, including everything from old growth pines to apple trees. The easy loop trail descends to Long Cove, providing numerous views of the water. Lookout for osprey nestled in large “stick nests,” or soaring over the cove searching for fish to eat. The trail drops down to the rocky shore, and is a great place for an afternoon picnic.”

“**this is a bit far** If you're looking for a nice drive, take a few hours and head up to Bailey's. There's not much to actually do on the island, but you can either take the Casco Baylines to get there and walk around, or you can go for a meal at Cook's Lobster House. I predict you will not be disappointed. ”
