Places to stay in Seven Bays
Lake Roosevelt home with beautiful lakefront views and easy access to the large and protected Friday Bay, this property is ideal for a large family or two smaller families who enjoy everything Lake Roosevelt has to offer. If you’re a boat owner, you’ll appreciate the bay to moor your boat during your stay, as well as the proximity to the boat launch one bay over. At the end of a full day of fun and sun, return to the air conditioned house or the deck with amazing views for a relaxing evening!
They always say location is everything, and when it comes to your vacation, we agree! The views are enough, but when you add the easy access to the beach, it brings this property to a whole new level. Not to mention the comfort and amenities the house provides. Well, let the pictures speak for themselves!
Take advantage of the many things this area has to offer such as visiting Hawk Creek, Slant rock, Whitestone Winery, Two Rivers, Fort Spokane, Nine Mile or Wilmont falls, lunch or dinner at the 7 bays restaurant, and much more!
  • Don’t use the beach on the weekend..obviously entitled neighbors have there beach space!!

  • The house was great, it felt like home. The view was incredible and we had everything we needed. Lorie was very responsive and answered all my questions and gave suggestions on things to do in the area. It was great that we were able to bring our dogs and keep them in the fenced yard, they had a great time swimming in the river.

Lake Roosevelt is a water playground. Come dock your boat at the Marina and enjoy our warm summer days. Nearby path to a secluded cove where you can swim or enjoy your water toys. Offseason is a great time to relax and watch the deer and wild turkeys. This is a place to 'get away from it all'. Both bedrooms have Queen beds. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, small appliances, and utensils. Bedding and linens are provided.
The home is very well maintained and clean. The carpet is new in the living area and hallway, tile in the bathroom is also recently added.
Very quiet neighborhood. Some residents are there full time and others are only there seasonally. The deer are extremely common in the area! Do NOT attempt to feed or approach. They can be pretty fierce once they know you could be supplying food. Wild turkey are occasionally around as well.
  • Excellent and clean. Great location for 7-bays.

Welcome to Lake Roosevelt! Our home has an incredible view of the water, a large wrap around deck, and is about as close to the beach as legally possible. Whether you're having a gathering with friends, a family reunion, or are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you!
Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: Queen Bed You will not find a home on the entire lake (and it’s a huge lake) that can offer you more than our place. Why? A few reasons. Location, Location, Location! The National Park Service owns all of the property from the waterfront to the 1310’ elevation line. Our property starts at 1310’ and 1/8th inch! You can’t get any closer to the water than us! As the pictures show, the property offers a breathtaking view of the lake at all times of the day. You won’t believe what kind of sunsets can happen here. The proximity also benefits beach access. Within the whole community, there’s only one trail taking you down to the beach. Our property is one of the closest ones! The trail leads to a small bay that has a wonderful sandy beach protected from wind and can serve as a great spot to moor your boat if you plan on bringing one. Bring a couple beach chairs and a cooler and have yourself a day! What’s Outside: The entrance side of the house offers a well-maintained lawn and covered patio if you’re looking to enjoy the evening air while gaining respite from the sun. It is equipped with patio furniture and a barbecue—the perfect setup for summer night cookouts. If you’re in the mood to watch a sunset, a deck wraps around from the back of the house to the river-facing side. Relax and unwind from your day in the sun by watching it tuck itself away behind the mountains in a picturesque display of natural beauty. What’s Upstairs: We have recently renovated our living spaces to match the beauty and feel of the surrounding area. With new floors and fresh paint on the walls, this is our favorite place to hang out. There are windows on all sides and a gorgeous butcher block table big enough for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and cookware and should provide you with everything you need for your stay. What’s Downstairs: A bonus room—accessible only via a sliding door on the river side of the house. If you’re looking for a fun and comfortable spot for the group to hang out indoors, this is the place for you! It has several couches, a few beds, and the only TV in the house. We have it hooked up to an Apple TV—a device that allows you to log in and access several online streaming services. There is also a DVD player accompanied with a huge collection of movies! The TV is HDMI compatible if you would like to bring your own device. To be completely honest, this part of the house is straight out of the 1970’s… but we kind of like it that way. It has a dart board! And a couch covered in flowers… and a strange collection of golf balls. Really it’s great, you’ll love it.
  • Great location - a little outdated but would come back for sure and great for large families with a large kitchen table that will accommodate 10 !!!

  • This is my best Airbnb experience so far. Cody (host) is very nice, he responded my questions very fast. Also, let us know about all around attractions in the area. House is very clean, the basement is the bonus. Everything here is more than our expectation. We all love to stay there.

  • Though coming from Seattle was a bit of a journey, it was incredibly refreshing to find that such a comfortable and visually pleasing place awaited us. Shane and company were very accommodating and kind. Not to mention they weren't exaggerating on the close proximity to the water, as the small beach felt private and individualized to my group of 9, in addition to the views being amazing.

Delightful cabin nestled close to Lake Roosevelt away from the city life. Enjoy quiet paths with nature at your door. Surrounded by amazing views with the lake a drive or hike away. Enjoy the serene experience of wildlife and the outdoors. This is a retreat with limited cell service and antenna TV (internet not available). Bring your boat only 4 1/2 miles from the Lincoln boat launch.
A cozy one bedroom cabin with kitchen, living area (with pull out full size sleeper couch), bathroom and laundry facility. There is also an amazing deck to sit and take in the views.
There are neighbors out there sometimes enjoying their property as well but not all the time.
  • This place is wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a place that we could relax and have a nice time together. This place didn’t disappoint. You are surrounded with beautiful county with breathtaking views. The water is close by if you’d like to bring a bout, or a tube, or swim. There’s plenty of hikes or adventure you could find yourself on. Her cabin is so homey, and it’s decorated with things you can tell she has picked up on her travels. It’s very clean and it has all the cooking utensils you’d need to make food. BUT the best part for me was there is no cell reception or internet. That may be a turn off for some, but because of that we played outside on her property, cooked dinner together that we had to do without looking up any recipes. We had to read a map and not go by direction from our phone, and sat out on her porch for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place is wonderful. Makes you truly appreciate the time you are there.

  • SUMMARY: This is a wonderful place to stay and is HIGHLY recommended. The landscape is stunningly beautiful and the accommodations were full of nice touches and comfortable amenities. The host was ultra-responsive, thorough, friendly, and concise. A few notes about the property: - While the description accurately notes that data service is not available, our experience was different as we were able to connect to T-Mobile's data network at the cabin. The connection was tenuous at best, but was pretty consistent once we figured out where the signal was strongest. - The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with things that we've forgotten in the past. Things like condiments, vegetable oil, sugar, etc. No ice trays in the freezer, though. Bring your own. - The property's about 45 minutes from services. Plan accordingly. - The deck of the property is a highlight. It's tastefully lit and has seating for about 10. This would be a lovely place to host some friends for a dinner. Perhaps one prepared at the full outdoor kitchen/grill next door to the cabin. - EV owners should note that there ARE 110v outlets on the outside of the building. If we're allowed, we'll return happily to the cabin. We had a great time and we owe a lot of that to the quality of accommodation provided by our host.

  • We had a great time. It was nice to unwind and recharge. The bbq in the outdoor kitchen was great. The pots and pans were in great condition. We can't wait to go back.

  • We absolutely loved Shelby’s cabin and land and highly recommend it for your escape from the city. There is a beautiful walking trail leading away from the property, at the base of the mountains and through the desert. The Columbia River and Lake Roosevelt are just a quick drive or hike away to swim and relax. Sun lake, Blue Lake, and The Coulee Dam are just an hour and a half away. We took many quiet walks around the land and saw lots of wildlife: deer and turkeys mostly. The cabin is fully equipped to cook, relax, and sit inside and outside comfortably, with a big, covered porch that overlooks the land and mountains, and cozy furniture to enjoy it comfortably. There is a large bath tub, comfortable and quiet sleeping amenities, a full kitchen. The cabin is up to date, sharply decorated, with interesting antiques and has new appliances. We really enjoyed being in the quiet and having a break from screens and internet. The road is gravel leading to land and not all roads are paved, but we didn’t experience issues with our car. Shelby was down to earth, kind and welcoming and was readily available but gave us a lot of space. We hope to return soon!

  • Great place, very clean. New carpet, comfortable bed. Bonnie is a great host. Couldn't ask for any more.

    Chris2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our group composed of 4 adults and a 2 year old stayed for a whole week at Bonnie's and it definitely felt like home, except with a spectacular view. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with cookware, and she had great books and movies. My daughter and I enjoyed seeing rabbits, quail, deer, and hummingbirds on our morning and evening walks in the quiet and peaceful neighborhood. I had even needed a document notarized and Bonnie contacted a friend who came over that day to do me the favor. I would highly recommend staying at Bonnie's because she is a great host.

    Jennifer2019-08-06T00:00:00Z

The drive from Spokane to the place is about 35 minutes and has some great views. If you don’t mind sharing a bathroom this is the place to stay at.

  • Nancy's place is a home away from home. She graciously invites you to enjoy the upstairs, downstairs, and outside. I loved sitting on the veranda in the mornings with my coffee and book, listening to the birds. Breakfasts are amazing, different every day. She is flexible and friendly; her home is charming and comfortable.

    Janet2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint, smalltown-America BnB, easily located blocks off Hwy 2. Authentic, appropriate to the rural surroundings. An apparent site error meant we had to share a bath. Unflappable, courteous...quickly refunded difference in price; space accommodated a full house with no problem. Nancy is industrious, informative, available but not invasive. Delicious breakfast, delightful stay.

This is a cozy cabin (approx 400 square feet) with queen size log bed in bedroom and futon in the main room. It has a cedar bathroom with shower. The main room consists of large window overlooking Lake Roosevelt, Tall dining table to take in the view and full kitchen. VERY Private! We get most of our bookings from Vacation Rental By Owner. Check it out for more information! FULL RV HOOK-UP and a few tent sites for larger groups. Full RV Hook up for additional fee. Contact owner for details.
This cabin sits on 13 private acres in a gated community. The land surrounding it is large acreage tracks mostly owned as summer get away.
Gated community of large acreage tracks. Mostly recreational properties. A few year around residence too. State land to the right between the two gates as you enter the community that can be hiked and hunted on (check with the state for hunters guidelines) We are near Huckleberry Mountain.
  • Wonderful place and such a beautiful area. Also, very timely response from hosts to our questions. I would recommend this to anyone ... especially if you have family with an RV and/or tents. How fabulous that this has RV hookups too! And lots and lots of space!

    Debi2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous view, pack your hiking shoes for the walk to the beach, enjoy all the special touches they added.

  • What gem of solitude. Our family enjoyed our stay. The lake access and beach there is amazing. Great place to reconnect with the kids without WiFi or TV. The calm was perfect and well appreciated. Thanks for the space and place to accomplish that.

  • Gorgeous view, peace & tranquility!

    Doreen2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This little cabin in the woods is just amazing! The view is amazing, the quiet is so welcome and the beach was one of the best to visit. We were there over the Memorial Day weekend and couldn't believe how quiet the beach was. Our two dogs romped and romped and romped and then we all spent hours lounging on the deck taking in the view and reading our books. If you bring your dogs, make sure to apply a good dose of tick repellent before arriving as I wrongly thought the natural stuff would be strong enough. The ticks were only because we let them walk through the tall grasses, not a reflection on the cabin. It really is the perfect getaway for two people and their pooches, although I hope that in the future Karin might allow us to have some friends pull their RV up because it is such a special place I want to share it with our friends. We drove from Seattle and the drive is such an easy drive, that the almost five hours flew by. Thanks again and we hope to return! Mark, Nadine, Stanley & Bellatrix

    Nadine2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Loved the area so much. Only issue is we were charged extra because our dogs left hair in the cabin. No vacuum was provided. Also don't let your dog on the floor int wh cabin or you could get charged for that also. All in all a great place with no complaints. Just need to fix your "Pet Friendly" ad.

  • Nancy's place was truly a gem. Her breakfasts were consistently great, her recommendations spot on, and her overall hospitality exceptional. Definitely check out the local museum and the free water park (great for kids). We stumbled upon Lake Roosevelt Adventures out in Seven Bays (about 25 mi. north on hwy 25). They rent out boats on Lake Roosevelt and have a solid restaurant. The drive is well worth it too...beautiful. I recommend this place not only to passerbys, but also to people looking for a good home base to do some less popular trips in Eastern Washington and beyond. Our family hopes to be back soon and we're proud to be Nancy's first visiting family from South America!

  • Nancy's place was fantastic. She is such a generous host, and was generous in sharing her entire house with us. Breakfast was an incredibly wonderful addition, and so much appreciated. Nancy also offered a couple of suggestions for local activities in the area. We took a little side trip that we weren't planning on, and it turned out to be a great evening. Thanks Nancy!

There is a second cabin next door and two other places on the property as well as a 5th wheel. Take a stroll down the dirt path, head down to the river or just relax in the sun here at this serene location!
  • The cabin suited our needs very well and we enjoyed the serenity of the place. Great spot!

  • The cabin was just what I was looking for! It was a cozy room with beautiful scenery! Perfect for a relaxing weekend. The property is multi family with a few different cabins + RVs but far enough away that you still have privacy. Shelby is around to answer any questions. I’ll definitely come again

This remote ranch is so quiet and peaceful you won't believe you're less than 2 hours west of Spokane. Camping areas are completely private and hidden from view. The livestock are friendly and no areas of the ranch are off limits. Be careful going into the barn. You may be recruited to muck stalls! You'll have unlimited hiking into beautiful lakes and rock bluffs that beg to be photographed. Wildlife abounds!
Lake Roosevelt Winery (stunning setting) is 45 minutes by car and features music on the weekends. Recreational opportunities abound. Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area abuts the ranch and no vehicular traffic is allowed on the 50,000 acres of BLM and State land surrounding us. Spokane is less than two hours east with many fine restaurants and music venues with tribal casinos featuring concerts.
  • It is a fun place to see and visit great hospitality from very warm and friendly people

  • Elsie is a great Lady that lives in an amazing place among wonder animals. It was perfect for us.

    Michael2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ms. Elsie is a down to earth, open minded, fantastic host. She opened her house and all of her beautiful animals to us and we loved it. Elsie is a retiree from the U.S. Air Force and shared her adventures with us which were unbelievably awesome. What a soul in this young lady. Dreams do come true on her ranch and we are so very thrilled to be a part of her journey. Thank Ms. Elsie♡

Little cabin in paradise 2 with a double bed
Double bed in a studio cabin. Bathhouse and gazebo are a short walk away.
  • A wonderful slice of the great outdoors minus the tent! The moment you arrive at this lovely cabin you will feel nature surrounding you. Upon opening the door, you will enjoy and be impressed with its cleanliness, decor, amenities, maps and info on local attractions, and other thoughtful touches! The bed and pillows are very comfortable, the extra towels for the shower, and a coffee pot plus coffee are provided to start your morning off right! The bath house is another wonderfully put together building. Beautiful tiled floors and walls, hot water within seconds of wanting it, all three areas are separated and have doors to close them off if you want additional privacy: Shower, toilet, and wash basin areas. Everything is well stocked and clean!. Once outside you'll quickly notice the peacefulness of its location, the sounds of nature, and the sights of the beautiful mule deer, wild turkeys, quail, and bald eagles. As you decide what local attractions you would like to see, you'll find that this beautiful cabin is centrally located so you can travel to many of the local attractions that are all within an hour's drive: Grand Coulee Dam, Steamboat Rock, Dry Falls/Sun Lakes, the Keller Ferry, Fort Spokane, and many other points of interest!

  • Beautiful, serene location for this adorable cabin! Very close to Lake Roosevelt. Shelby had a family emergency during our stay, but we were still more than cared for.

    Miranda2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny cabin had so much more than I expected. It was spotless. The separate bathroom was spotless and I did not expect that because it was shared. It had outlets to get ready if needed and shampoo and conditioner etc. The cabin itself had A.C., microwave, coffee, coffee maker, microwave popcorn, complimentary bottled water, granola bars, and linens. Shelby was friendly. The grounds were kept up. The bed was better than any cabin I've ever stayed in. Next time we are going to make it a lake Roosevelt trip because it's so close to the launch.

    Sara2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing, stunning. I didn’t expect all the amenities, but there was everything we needed. Showers, restrooms, microwave... all great, all clean. The views and location are stunning. One of the best things is the location. It’s a great stop in the middle of the Scablands of Washington state... one of the great wonders of North America.

This is one of our three private bedrooms. You will find the bed to be very comfortable in a room decorated to make you feel welcome. Enjoy a breakfast in the morning before you head out into your day.
The Davenport Inn is a restored Victorian home. The interior speaks for itself. It's just beautiful and will give you a warm happy feeling.
The Davenport Inn is located in a private neighborhood with plenty of parking.
  • Hospitality, cleanliness, & breakfast was great! I spent Valentines Day (the weekend of) there. It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day themed house. Felt plenty of room in the room I stayed in. Breakfast was fantastic, & there were plenty of sweets to snack on in the middle of the night. 10/10 would stay there again.

  • Nancy is amazing! My husband and I stayed while visiting my parents. She made a killer breakfast! The French toast was epic!!!! My getaway was perfect. Thank you so much Nancy!

    Alexus2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just entering in Nancy's house and you know right away you're somewhere special. So much tasteful decorating, beautiful rooms downstairs and upstairs, amazing kitchen, all sparkling clean. But what's the most important is Nancy's hospitality. I have no doubt that many many guests visited her house and yet she remains very welcoming, very eager to help and to accommodate your needs (including delicious breakfasts, of course!). I'll be back at some point for sure..

  • Nancy is such a nice host, and she goes out of her way to make you feel at home, help you with all requests and give you good recommendations for restaurants and/or places to go. Her house is very cute and homy, and the room is nice, big and comfortable - also there is a jacuzi, which is a very nice touch.

Cozy getaway for 4 with breath taking views on 20 acres. One bedroom, bathroom and large open living area with kitchen and futon/sleeper bed. Out door sitting area with Electric BBQ. Lake Roosevelt is a hike or drive away and there are plenty of walking trails. No pets or smoking indoors. Outdoors only.
Plenty of room to play games, take a hike or head down to the river for a swim (a hike or drive away).
Lake Roosevelt is close by. Possibly others staying in cabins on the property and neighbors just down the road.
  • This property is artfully decorated. It's like walking through a museum. Loved the large open space and comfy couch. Kitchen had plenty of room to cook in. We will definitely come back!

Historic StageLine Ranch is a remote, private ranch with a goat dairy, horses, cows, fresh eggs, and incredible hiking. Not suitable for 1 night. Bring your horse for riding the Washington Channeled Scablands. Lake Roosevelt Winery and huge lake are 3/4 hour drive from ranch. Fishing lakes, wildlife viewing, migrating birds - # 26 on The Great Washington State Birding Trail, Palouse to Pines Loop (Audubon). Fenced, primitive campground (water available) or two RV hookups at the shop.
The goat herd (about 60) roam freely throughout the surrounding pastures after morning milking and arrive at the barn for evening milking a little before sunset. They are very sociable and love to be fussed over. Care must be taken as they have horns and will sometimes butt heads. They will NEVER intentionally use them on you but might push each other into your space. Do not go into pastures with loose horses as they might crowd you and accidentally step on you. I will take you in to see them if you want to get to know them. The cattle are all very friendly and might stand still for a good scratch!
• Tipi is pretty & in a nice setting. In the morning, Elsie brought fresh hot coffee & homemade shortcake & jam up to tipi on her tractor! There is no bathroom near by but main house is about 2 blocks away thru cattle fence with all the amenities you need. Wonderful hospitality, stories & delicious food! We had such a good time with Elsie we decided not to go out that nite & ended up inviting her to our 40th Holiday party this year! She was great! Highly recommend the WHOLE experience!! Steve & Katie

    Katie2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you want experience staying in tipi, this the place to be. Host is very gracious and you got to enjoy of being with her goats, chickens, cows and horses. Thank Elsie! Hope to see you again! Be blessed!

  • Elsie’s home, shared with her wonderful family of animals, was a joy to visit. I highly recommend staying longer than the 15 hours I was able to, though! There is too much to see and experience in such a short time. Elsie goes above and beyond with her hospitality and delights to share about the history and landscape of the area. It is off the beaten path, but this is part of what makes going there so special. Come experience the peace and quiet while taking advantage of the opportunities for fellowship with a wonderful host as well as the joyful encounters with her goats, horses, calves, dogs, guinea hens, farm cats and more. I definitely hope to return...

    Sarah2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The greatest!!!! Cannot recommend highly enough. Elsie is a joy!!! She is the most wonderful host. I admire her in all ways. Her home & life experiences are truly amazing. Such a wonderful place to relax, recharge, & experience ranch/farm life. Absolutely loved it!! Hope to return soon.

  • Bonnie is such a wonderful host. The place is VERY large with incredible views. The views alone are worth it. I would describe the exact location as somewhat secluded: definitely out in the middle of nowhere (at least 20 min to nearest town), but there are a handful of neighbors around. Bonnie even gave us breakfast and some great fruit! The only thing I'll clarify: location in proximity to water. I asked Bonnie if you could swim in the water and how far away it was. She said yes to swim (depending on weather, time of year, etc) and about 5 min away. Looking at a map the property looks about 3 large "blocks" away from the water, so I assumed w/ the 5 min away and looking at a map I could walk there. But I didn't specify driving or walking in my question and that 5 min is def driving. You're way up on a hill (which adds to the beauty and views) but not walking distance to the water at all. Driving, sure. Overall I couldn't ding any stars for that as I should have clarified. And another overall is that it was still great if you're looking to get away from the city!

    Kenneth2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé, daughter and I just moved to the area and wanted sometime away from the city for a relaxing weekend getaway. Bonnie not only provided a beautiful, spacious and clean guest suite..she made us feel at home. From greeting us late at night, to fresh fruit and breakfast..even providing a high chair for our daughter. We were so grateful and I felt the stress of relocating disappear. The king bed was so comfortable and the 2nd bedroom was the perfect distance needed when traveling with a baby. The Lake view was stunning and we enjoyed her amazing fireplace (with a glass of wine)we will be back, to our secret family retreat spot! Thank you Bonnie for your wonderful hospitality!

The bunkhouse will open in April for groups and family reunions. This is a 3 bdrm, 16 bunk bed (6 are double) bunkhouse with kitchen, bathrooms, and lounging area. Ranch house is close and guests have full access to the house and entire ranch. We love to socialize with guests and encourage full participation on the ranch if you want to help with chores or care of livestock. Lots of remote hiking to see wonderful wild lakes with beautiful bluffs, wildlife, and migrating birds to photograph.
You are welcome to bring horses as there is room for them and lots of wild areas to ride. Many ponds and lakes to quench the thirst of any horse as you ride.
This is the Washington Channeled Scablands and we are remote but also only two hours west of Spokane. There are many lakes close by for boating and fishing. Lake Roosevelt and its wonderful Winery are close featuring music on weekends. Summers have cowboys moving cattle on pastures all around the ranch. Hiking is incredible and exhilarating as you find many beautiful scenes and wildlife to photograph.

This working ranch is just basic down-to-earth living that follows the sun up and the sun down. Chores depend on weather and dealing with emergencies that sometimes ruin the best laid plans. I welcome guests stepping up and lending a hand and also being able to fend for themselves if I have to run off chasing errant livestock. Meals are prepared at the standard times and guests need to help themselves and not go hungry. You are free to experience the ranch as much or as little as you wish.
