  • Great place close to the city. Was a quick 90 minute drive from Toronto. It’s right on the river and is very quite and peaceful. You can see your neighbours but still is a quaint experience. I think the fishing would be great in the summer but no bites late October. Close to various amenities so location is fantastic. Great base camp or awesome for Short weekend getaway outside the city.

Take time to enjoy and relax in this newly updated cottage/home that is located 1 hour 40 mins from Downtown Toronto on the calm shore of the Green River. Plenty of quiet places to relax. If you enjoy swimming or fishing, both can be done right off of your dock. You are 5 minutes to downtown Washago with a grocery store, coffee shop, ice cream store and wonderful restaurants. It is fully equipped with all dishes, cutlery and utensils, pots and pans, toaster and coffee maker.
We have a pedal boat and kayaks available to explore the river. We have a separate bunkie with a double bed for additional sleep space and privacy.
Rcottage restaurant is a gem of Washago. It is really busy so if you would like to be sure to get a table reservations are recommended. Washago Centennial Park is 5 mins away and has a sandy beach and great places for family picnics.
  • Christine's place was so incredibly beautiful! I would 100% return to her home. The view of the lake in the backyard is breathtaking and the home has everything you need. Christine was a very quick responder to all questions I had and was a very wonderful host. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely cottage!

  • Big house, great, quiet riverside location, possibility to swim, kayak or paddleboat, BBQ facilities

    Kerstin2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage that is still close enough to amenities like parks, grocery stores, & restaurants. Very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of spaces to relax like the porch, deck, dock or around the fire. The kitchen and laundry facilities make it very manageable for a family if you want a longer stay as well. Overall a great location and I would definitely recommend it!

  • I planned a long weekend with my 65plus years old parent visiting from Italy and this place was just a beautiful gem in the Green river. The location is perfect (only 1.4h from Toronto) perfect gateway form city. The house has everything you need for your stay: from the cute fully stocked kitchen to the amazing BBQ area and gorgeous relaxing patio...and the amazing water tools ;). I am truly recommend Christine's place and will def go back next summer!!

    Simona2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with everything you need and more. We had a great stay at the glen ridge manor and would love to go back again! Perfect location, close to everything but secluded enough to give you that Muskoka vibe with peace and quiet.

    Carly2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed here over the long weekend. The inside is so cute and was super clean. The outside space is amazing, spent most of our time on the lower deck as well as just sitting down on the dock. The river is so cute, definitely recommend taking the kayaks and pedal boat out to see the river. The town of Washago is only about a 5 min drive from the cottage, we went to R Cottage one night for dinner cute little restaurant with very good food!! Definitely will be coming back here next summer, if your looking to get away and relax definitely recommend this cottage. Christine was great, she replied fast and offered us not to hesitate if we needed anything.

  • Great place ! Beautiful sunrises! Great location and so close to the water. Debbie and family was very accommodating, and patient. My husband, 16 month old daughter and I stayed for a month while our house was finishing being built . Very flexible and patient considering we had a 16 month old there going through a transition. They always made sure we had everything we needed and more. If there was a concern (ie- out of garbage bags) before I knew it there was more! Has a very warm and “cottagey” feel. Highly recommended!

  • Marty and Mike's place was astounding and very cozy even though we came in cold weather! I loved playing with their two dogs, and the breakfast they sell is worth every penny. Their hospitality is nothing like i've experienced before at any other Airbnb and I would definitely come back here during the summer.

    Arjun2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars across the board for Marty and Mike! The bunky was cozy, cute, and easy to find coming off the highway. Beautiful area as well. Marty and Mike were very accommodating about my bringing my dogs, and they have a large fenced in yard which they allowed us to use. Besides a super comfy bed and warm ambience, one of our favorite things was the skylight, from which we could admire the beautiful stars from that bed I mentioned. Would definitely stay there again. These hosts are amazing!

    Tegan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely slightly out of the way little funky bunky! We had a great stay with Marty and Mike who are both very friendly and helpful. The space is very clean and cosy, and a perfect spot for seeing more of the Muskoka region and even into Algonquin. We also loved there cute little dogs, and I’m sure our dog loved them too! Definitely recommend for a short stay!

  • Lisa and her family were so kind and welcoming, and the place is amazing!! The perfect little getaway outside the city. She was ok with us playing guitar by the fire at night and having the best time :) highly recommend!!

  • We absolutely loved our stay in the owl suite. What a perfect winter getaway! The cabin is spacious, clean, and very functional - I was pretty impressed with the built in reading lights above the beds! We were warm and very comfortable all night after our evening fire. The main building is also very clean and inviting. Bagels, fruit & more set out in the morning was a great bonus. We'd love to come back again!

People have been coming to vacation in Muskoka since the 19th century. And why not when there's so much natural entertainment to choose from? Gather your friends & family to share canoeing, fishing, playing horseshoes & volleyball, building sand castles on the beach or a round of good old fashioned board games. Even when it's cold outside, make memories to keep you warm: ice-fishing, skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snow fort building or our personal favourite, building massive snowpeople :)
  • We held our family Christmas here and it was awesome! Lots of space to spread out but very cozy at the same time:) all sorts of unique touches! would definitely come back!

  • What a great place! You will love your time here! Book with confidence!

    Fin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't expect the water is coming from the lake. Great experience overall.

    Zhibin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay on Sparrow Lake. A well loved Muskoka cottage with tons to do. Large enough for a crowd but just right for a getaway for 2. Enjoy your stay; we will be back soon! Communication was a breeze and check in was as smooth. Everything you need is there, just bring water and beach towels and some great local beers. There is a large grill and deck side hot tub to soak your cares away.

  • Great spot for a family.

    Blake2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was great, especially for our large group. Decently stocked kitchen, more space than we expected. Hot tub and sauna were wonderful. Communication was great. Would return.

    Michelle2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful anniversary. The cottage is private and right on the water. The cottage was also much bigger then expected, orangized (notes and labels everywhere, making the stay super easy) and the attention to detail (sign greeting us with cookies) were a thoughtful touch that was appreciated! The hot tub, skeet ball and kids hide out are unique to this cottage and make for an extra special stay. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are now planning a trip with the whole family!

    Kristina2019-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly, the pictures don’t do this place justice. The cottage was phenomenal. It was much bigger than expected and is great for a big group. Laura was extremely friendly and quick with her responses. The Hot Tub and Sauna was amazing and we were even able to get on the ice for some Hockey and games. The view from the back onto the lake is stunning. It was the coldest weekend of the year so far and there is plenty of games and activities in the cottage to occupy your time as well. We even had some cookies ready for us upon arrival! Have absolutely no complaints and we will definitely be back.

    Mariam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend stay in Coral’s place. The location was fantastic, right on the lake which was completely frozen. The place was a perfect size for 7 of us and had an amazing view from the large windows. On our last day there was an issue with the water/electricity but Coral arranged for a handyman to resolve the issue within 30 minutes which was great. Overall would strongly recommend staying here!

  • Micky‘s place was sparkling clean and she was very responsive before and after the booking process. She was also thoughtful as she left fruit out for breakfast. Check in was seamless. Thank you for a a brief yet wonderful stay.

  • The residence was clean, spacious, and in a beautiful location. Mickey was kind and helpful. We would stay here again.

    Michelle2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Mickey's place is gorgeous! Second of all, you couldn't ask for a nicer host than Mickey. My friend and I came up for the Bala Cranberry Festival and just needed a place to stay the night but we got way more than that. Mickey's home is lovely. We spent the evening watching scary movies and warming up by the fire. The bed was comfortable and I probably slept the best I ever have! We also really appreciated our fruit salads in the morning that Mickey made herself. I would definitely recommend Mickey and her home. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

    Ola2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Micky was an amazing host. The location was close to the highway which was very beneficial for me. The place was private, yet if I needed Micky she was available in a snap. The place was so clean & I truly felt comfortable! I would highly recommend Micky’s AirBnb. Great time & glad I found this amazing spot! Marci

  • Norm and RuthAnn’s place was amazing! We visited for two nights and only wish we would have booked more time. It’s the perfect place for your getaway! It’s close to so many amenities if you’re up for day trips. The hot tub stole the show for us! It was perfect for the cool autumn evenings we had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Very accessible for families as well. The private beach is a quick, short walk, and we enjoyed it in the mornings with our coffee watching the beautiful fall colours! We will be back and are going to try their other location, The Love Shack, next summer too! Thanks for the great hospitality!!

    Jana2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We are so happy we chose to spend Thanksgiving at this cozy little cottage. Norm was so helpful when showing us around the cabin on our arrival. So many games and movies to choose from...and close to some great hiking trails to see the fall colours! The highlight had to be that hot tub ...an excellent way to start and end the day. Thanks for the great stay!

The hosts are great at check in and at communicating. The location is perfect for visiting the Torrance Barns dark sky preserve, hiking, and antiquing, but the hot tub is the best.

This is a man cave on the lower level of our home. The room has a double bed, couch, coffee table, stereo and tv. Sliding doors to the room lock and glass patio doors look out to wildlife, forests and a river. Super clean and quiet and we have a flat rate to Casino Rama by cab. Complimentary coffee, tea or cappacino in the morning in the kitchen.
There are sliding glass door that lead out onto a deck there is a big backyard that is surrounded by forest and a dock on the river.
The house is located on the outskirts of Muskoka on a quiet dead end street surrounded by forest. The house is on the Black River which is great for swimming, canoeing, kayaking or fishing right from the dock. This is a very quiet, friendly and safe neighnourhood. We are nature lovers and can recommend many great hiking trails, parks, beaches, restaurants or any other outdoor activity you want to experience. Washago is a quaint small village located 10 min away where you can find a few unique restaurants, bakery, deli, convenience store, pharmacy and liquor store. There is a park and beach with a public dock in Washago or city of Orillia 20 min drive. It is an hour drive to Algonquin Park or 10 min to Casino Rama.
  • Lisa is an amazing hostess and made us feel right at home! She is very knowledgable about the area, and even lent us some snowshoes so we didnt have to rent them. The room is big enough for two people and comfortable! She is clear in the description that the bathroom is shared and on the main level, so if you are not comfortable with that it would be good to stay somewhere else. We had an absolutely fantastic time and enjoyed everything Muskoka has to offer.

  • Great place to relax! We loved swimming off the dock and canoeing down the river! Thanks for a great holiday!

  • We had a great time at Myles Delight! Ken and Kathy were helpful in accommodating our stay even when they were away on vacation themselves. We had the pleasure to meet Ken on the Saturday we were leaving! This cottage is in the perfect location, right on the water! We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here!

    Rob2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week at Ken & Kathy's place and I've never had a more relaxing vacation in my life. The area is beautiful, the cottage is cozy and the dock was our favorite place to hang out, with the porch swing in a very close second. The cottage was spotless and we were provided with everything we needed to cook dinner. We took advantage of the canoe and pedal boat every single day. You'll definitely need bug spray. Those mosquitos are relentless. We hope to be back next summer.

    Sandy2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • My family of 6 enjoyed our time at Myles Delight. Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay was available, plus very helpful notes to make the best of our visit. We had an excellent time swimming, kayaking and generally enjoying the place, including easy drive to Gravenhurst and Bracebridge.

    Elizabeth2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was super clean and very relaxing. Ken and Kathy had been very responsive with any questions we had.

  • Quaint, rustic bungalow on Severn river. Anything you could need for a nice time on the water. We had a great time floating and paddling around and the area provides anything you could want!

Enjoy a getaway to this cozy cottage, located right on the shore of Lake Couchiching. Relax on the huge sun-filled deck, or lounge on the dock. At night, chill around the fire and take in the picturesque sunsets. Lots of room to cook and hang out in the large open-concept kitchen and living room. You'll find everything you need to unwind in the evenings with Satellite TV and Netflix in the shared living room. Less than 5 minutes to the town of Washago, and only 15 minutes to Casino Rama.
Just a 90 minute drive from the GTA, the cottage is great for year-round visits. Features a beautiful gas fireplace and ample seating around the 55 inch TV. There are two separate dining areas--one in the bright sunroom off the kitchen, and one in the open concept space. The gorgeous lakefront backyard features a huge deck and pergola, BBQ, and amazing fire pit area with lots of seating. Guests are welcome to use the canoe or paddle boat during their stay.
Quiet street off highway 11, and located 2 minutes away from the Marina if you'd like to launch your boat or Sea-doo. You can dock right at the cottage for your stay.

  • Great place Paul and his daughter are incredibly nice and accommodating. Amazing hosts! Can't really swim at the property it's too shallow and weedy 😭

    Jessie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and Krystal are fantastic hosts; there for you if needed, but also let you just make yourself at home. Beautiful location, and use of the canoe to explore the lake was a bonus. Looking forward to a return visit.

Enjoy your summer vacation with easy hwy access to Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Orillia. Close proximity to Casino Rama, Santa's Village, many area golf courses , boating, lock access to Lake Couchiching or canoeing, kayaking nearby rivers.
Main cottage has 2 bedrooms, 3 piece bathroom, satellite tv,dvd, microwave, fridge, stove, screened in porch, bunkie on property sleeps 2, firepit and bbque on site, docking for 19' boat, lock access to lakes, deep water swimming.
  • Beautiful Riverside Cottage. All the amenities one would need for a getaway. The cottage is absolutely adorable. It’s sparkling clean and well maintained. Fishing was a hit this year with the children .. I highly recommend this property.

    Brandie2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The “Cosy” Severn River cottage is exactly that! My family of seniors enjoyed our second visit there and we were very comfortable. Loved the screen porch and watching the boats (and geese!) float by. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and has a warm family feeling to it. We didn’t try them out but there are two kayaks and a canoe to use as well. You do hear hwy 11 near by but after a while you get used to it and don’t really notice it in the background.

    Wendy2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cute rustic cottage with lots of sleeping and relaxation space. Located on a narrow waterway but very little boat traffic. Awesome for kayaking and paddle boarding and swimming with attention to boaters. Sitting on the HUGE dock was a great way to relax. Very clean and well kept; had everything we needed. The kids loved the bunkie too!

    Krystal2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Bev’s cottage. The property is a cozy retreat right along the river. Access to two other lakes by boat (we brought our own) via Lock 42 or the river. The cottage comes with two kayaks and one canoe (both very good quality) and you can paddle for miles on a quiet river. It rained during our stay unfortunately but the cottage is a cozy place to spend the day with provided board games or to watch a movie. The kitchen also has everything you need to eat in. And the shower provides nice hot water. Would definitely recommend staying here.

    Sylvia2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great family cottage. Canoe , kayak, and paddle boat are a great addition. I love that if you forgot something , Bev has it covered. Will be booking again next year !

    Brandie2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely and relaxing cottage. Pictures don’t even do the space justice! Would definitely reccomend and come again!

    Melanie2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don’t do this place justice! My friends and I had an amazing time at Bev’s cottage. There were thoughtful touches abound such as plenty of drinking water and extra toilet paper. There’s even a blender! The location of the cottage is quite close to the highway and a train track. In the evenings we could hear the trains passing. It was noticeable but not ever an issue for us. Highly recommend this cottage!

    Geoff2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time. Bev was always quick to reply. The added touches of things you forgot like sunscreen and lotion was greatly appreciated. The river was fun to swim and the use of paddle boats and kayaks were great. Beautiful trip down the river. This cottage is a must stay.

Welcome to our newly renovated rustic yet refined cottage! It boasts charm with new plank floors, barn board walls, antiques and personal touches throughout. It is cozy, comfy, private and set beautifully on the Green River. In fact, it’s one of the nicest properties on the river. The swans come right up to the dock for feeding as well as the geese, ducks and other birds. We are a quick drive to the town of Washago (less than 5 mins), 10 min to Casino Rama and 15 min to Gravenhurst.
This property is set on a large property with over 100 feet of waterfront. We have a beautiful firepit, close to the water, guests can enjoy a fire which is a perfect way to end the day. The property has a spectacular view from the many windows. The bathroom has a new shower, River rock sink and is beautifully accented with barn board. During the summer, there is a bunkie that guests will have access to. It currently is used for storage only. It is private and completely separate of the main cottage
Washago is 5 min away by car or 20 min walk to town. There are a few key shops in town (bakery, convenience, drugstore, grocery, LCBO) There is an outdoor ice skating rink that is free and has fabulous conditions. Casino Rama is exactly 10 minutes away. Gravenhurst is 15 min. Both places have a variety of experiences to enjoy.
  • Amazing weekend! We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back in the summer and fall!!! So cozy!

  • Loved the place. Its really romantic

    Dharmen2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is exactly what we were looking for – cozy, clean, and unpretentious. The space easily accommodated five adults in the two bedrooms and pullout couch (be sure to bring an eye mask if you’re sleeping on the couch as the morning sun is beautiful and bright). The river is delightfully close to the cottage and while having coffee on the dock is beautiful you can also see the water and the ducks/swans clearly from inside. We would definitely come back in any season!

  • Pam’s cottage was everything we expected and more. It’s so cozy, with big windows facing the river and it was lovely walking in with the fire already going. Pam was extremely responsive and helpful with whatever we needed. There’s everything you could possibly need for a relaxing weekend on the river. We loved feeding the swans and ducks!

I can’t recommend this place enough!

  • Irina was the perfect host and this cottage was outstanding. We were there with our 9 month old, her godparents and their 21 month old. It was a beautiful location for a relaxing weekend. Everything was perfectly clean, which made it easier when having a very active baby crawling everywhere. We loved using the SUP (for the first time!) and the paddle boat. Everything needed was provided and more! The babies had toys, a playpen, outdoor activities - everything! We can’t say more great things about our experience. We hope to stay again next year!

We welcome a single guest in this non smoking quiet farm house that was built in the turn of the century. Newly carpeted and added pine in this bedroom it offers privacy and warmth. This is a large room but I am only offering this single bed to use to keep the price down. Its quiet and very comfortable. Single lamp and 12 steps leading up to it with a tiny window. Ethel Maud Place offers coffee or tea and a muffin in the morning complimentary. I am around for directions and live here as well.
In the off season from November to April be prepared to travel at least 20 minutes to enjoy a nice dinner out. I will recommend Tail Winds Bar and Grill in Rama and be prepared to make reservations.
Washago is a quiet little town and all your needs can be met by stopping by the local little town. 10 mins away.
  • I only wish I had more time! This was such a gem of a home in a beautiful surrounding and hosted by the most intriguing and wonderful soul! Everything was perfect. Enjoy!

  • Very nice spot! Clean clean clean! The host even surprised us with a bottle of homemade wine- what a nice gesture! Nice coffee bar for the morning as well! Nice size place for 4 people, slept very comfortably! Location is about 5-7 min to casino Rama! No Uber’s in the area. If you want to go to casino Rama you have to get a taxi which ranges from $30-45. We were fortunate enough and had a ride from a local. Would recommend this place! Quiet and clean!

Located in the beautiful Shamrock Bay Resort, this 3 bedroom one bath vacation rental can sleep 6. Enjoy your spring summer or fall getaway in this brand new vacation rental, on a private wooded lot. Enjoy your days at the pool or beach and nights by the fire roasting marshmallows. Amenities include heated salt water swimming pool, sports court, kids park, horse shoes, water sports and a beautiful beach. 15 minutes to Gravenhurt and Orillia.
  • This cosy cottage was great for our two families (we each have 1 child under 5). The kids loved the heated swimming pool, playing by the beach, and roasting marshmallows at the firepit. The community of cottaging families was very welcoming. We saw children roaming around without parents, which is a sign of how safe they must have felt. I loved seeing this (no helicopter parenting - wow!). The resort is also just half an hr away from other bigger beaches too (in Orillia and Gravenhurst) which was nice. Michelle was very quick to respond to all our questions. :) Thanks!

    Nhung2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot, Kids enjoyed the pool, very clean.

    Ashley2019-08-29T00:00:00Z

  • Trevor and Michelle’s place is great! We rented a golf cart to get around the park which was a few hundred dollars but totally worth it for taking our kids around the resort. The property was very clean and we had everything we needed. Will definitely be coming back!

    Lacey2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! We enjoyed all the resort had to offer with still the privacy of a quiet holiday!

    Meghan2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle and Trevor’s place was absolutely amazing!!! Great location and spotless!! The amenities on the resort were perfect for families with young children!! The resort is quiet and located within a short drive to Orillia or gravenhurst...full of bakeries and restaurants!! Beautiful to go walk around!! As well, if you are up for a 25 minute road trip, Santa’s village is a must!!! The kids and adults had a blast... Great place for families!! Nothing but good things to say!!!

    Denise2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent time. Great location and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. Many thanks Trevor and Michelle

    Kerry2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful getaway! Michelle and Trevor's cottage is stunning. We enjoyed our stay very much - the beds and space was just perfect for our family. As a group, we spent a lot of time on the deck taking in the sunshine and quiet atmosphere. The only thing that took getting used to is the mosquitoes, so come prepared. We also had to purchase our own pillows after the first night because they do not come with the beds. Luckily, there is a nearby Walmart and other stores for last minute supplies and foods. The DVD collection was varied and kept us entertained each day, so that was a nice touch. The pool, basketball court, and free access to kayaks/canoes was also fantastic! We also had a fire in the pit one night, and roasting marshmallows to make s'mores is a must. Thank you again, we will be back!

These partially off-grid wood cabins provide you with a roof over your head, beds to support your back, and a woodstove to warm your toes. • Amazing winter glamping experience, super cute cabins heated by wood fire stove. Just make sure you are willing to get up to add wood in the fire overnight to keep the cabin warm. It’s all part of the experience :) The yoga retreat vibes here are lovely and really add to the experience. The tea/coffee/and hot water bottles available 24/7 in the main lodge really complemented the experience!

  • We stayed at the bear suite and it was very cozy! We loved the view outside of the cabin and it almost felt as if we were alone in the wilderness. The main house has all the amenities and the shower facilities worked well. The breakfast was also delicious. We were especially huge fans of the almond milk with chia seeds pudding. Just a friendly reminder for those staying in the winter: The only heat source comes from the wood oven, therefore you will need to be patient! Jennifer provides clear instructions in the listing, so as long as you remain patient, you should be able to get the fire going! For those who have troubles lighting the oven, there are also quick light logs for purchase to assist you, so you should be fine. It was fun practicing how to build the fire that took some trial and error, but we both enjoyed the process. For anyone looking for a glamping experience in a cozy wood cabin in Muskoka region, I’d highly recommend this place!

  • The cabin is really great, feels secluded in the forest with a nice wood stove heating the whole cabin. Was a very wonderful option for Valentines day. Jennifer is really responsive and an awesome host. To anyone travelling there in winter, get the starter log and save yourself some time trying to get the fire started, it's well worth it!

    Tom2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time despite the cold. Make sure you know how to light up and maintain a fire before you go if it’s during winter months. Appreciated the breakfast in the morning :)

  • Amazing experience. Cute cabin in the woods exactly as pictured. Everything was super easy. We enjoyed a bonfire by our cabin in the evening. Breakfast was fresh fruit and baked goods with with some tea and coffee. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hopefully will come back one day.

  • Great city getaway. We’ll definitely be back.

    Gary2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best air bnb I have stayed at. Jennifer’s place is so beautiful and cozy and I highly recommend to anyone who wants a “glamping” experience or simply wants to get away from the city and enjoy peace and quiet in nature. Checking in was extremely easy and all amenities needed were there. We really loved our stay and will definitely be returning in the future!

The cottage is very spacious in a great location and we had a wonderful time walking along the frozen lake with our toddler and dog. Would definitely book again!

  • We had a great weekend at this cottage and the view is amazing! Susan and David are great hosts. We have been unlucky with a plumbing issue when we arrived but they were very reactive and solved the problem as soon as they could. The house and kitchen is well equipped and very comfortable. Thanks again !

Experience the rustic magic of Muskoka in one of our glamping cabins. Get all the fun and adventure of camping in the woods but without the need to pitch a tent! These partially off-grid wood cabins provide you with a roof over your head, beds to support your back, and a woodstove to warm your toes. They are built with a minimal 12-volt electrical system to provide lights and a small USB charge, but to otherwise eliminate the constant buzz of EMFs and allow you to sink into nature.
The cabins are designed for campers and nature lovers who are comfortable without the comforts of modern life. Please read our description in full as these cabins are unique and do not include many modern amenities found in hotels. This cabin is one of 5 at our small rustic eco-therapy retreat center, Pura Vida Soul Institute. It is nestled amidst the trees along a small trail in our 22-acre natural forest. They are situated close to the washrooms, studio, and parking. Included in the cabin: • Four built-in bunk beds with a full staircase access • Large sweeping windows for forest views and cool breezes • Covered deck with 4 chairs for lounging • Woodstove (This is the only heat source in the cabin) • Small sitting area with comfy chairs and ottoman • Small table for keeping belongings safe • Luggage racks and storage under beds • Overhead LED lighting • USB charger • Bedsheets, pillows, and blankets • Picnic Table • Private fire pit for roasting marshmallows • Lighters or matches • Hot water, coffee, tea • Breakfast (Typically includes toasts, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea) • Free Parking NOT Included in the cabin: • Kitchen or cooking appliances (Please bring a camp stove or grill if you wish to cook onsite) • Private bathroom (There are shared bathrooms & showers in the main building – a short 1-2 minute walk from the cabin) • No electrical outlets, no wifi, no tv • Wood (Guest may purchase wood onsite at $5/box. Guests typically use 1-3 boxes per night depending on outside temperatures). • Lunch or dinner • Fire Fairy to start and stoke your fire all night (Guests are responsible for starting and maintaining the woodstove. If you are uncomfortable maintaining a fire we don’t recommend visiting us during winter months as you will be very cold without a fire). • Ice (Please purchase in town before arrival) • Yoga classes, workshops, or other services NO SMOKING: Our entire property is designated as non-smoking. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the cabins, on the trails, or anywhere on the property. NO PETS: We are a wild location that shares land with bears, moose, and other wild animals. We work really hard to keep these animals uninterested in our cabin sites and the presence of any new animals, including pets, tends to draw them in. We are very strict about no pets in our cabins for the safety of our guests and your pets.
When staying with us you will be snuggled by our 22-acre privately owned Muskoka forest designed to protect wildlife that is quiet and tucked away from the busy tourist locations. Most of our guests use our location as a resting point between the many attracts in Muskoka, Severn, and Simcoe counties or as a place to simply relax and hear their own thoughts. When staying onsite you may enjoy walking our Self-Guided Nature Art Walking Tail Experience (no charge) or using our studios for your own yoga or meditation practice. There are plenty of opportunities to view our wild animals including birds, wild turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, and many other friendly creatures of the forest. • Our stay in the moose suite was very memorable. The hosts helped us start our fire, had a great breakfast spread, and their land is a beautiful spot for the retreats they host, or for someone like me who went to get away. Responses were timely and we felt very welcomed. The cabin had lots of blankets and was very comfortable. Thank you!

  • What a lovely experience this was! I stayed alone with my two teenage sons as we were on a road trip through cottage country to hike and paddle but this would be a very romantic spot I’d consider returning with my husband. You are set in a dense forest and the owners live on site. There were about 4 yurts total and I believed we were all alone (weekday) There are trails on the property, studios, indoor/outdoor showers free refreshments and lots of extra services you can book. You are able to check in alone, and in fact I never met the hosts at all despite going into their home (reception area) to help myself to coffee and I’m okay with this. We are sort of introverts and hermits and many hosts are so insistent on being friends I was fine with being left alone! I did not expect power but the yurts have lights and a USB port. I know the purpose is to unplug but I still wanted to Skype my husband at night and charge my phone for directions so this was so appreciated! They are also much warmer than expected. Overall super thrilled with this find. We drove to a local brewery for dinner, walked the trails on site and sat outside playing board games for hours. Wish we stayed longer than one night.

  • What an incredible place! The house was spotless, it had everything we could have possibly needed and was so cozy. Truly a perfect winter getaway. Gorgeous location and very convenient to get to the ski hill and the town close by. There was so much space even with 12 of us staying there. Could not say enough great things about our stay!

    Joanna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 12 loved our stay at Tatiana’s place! As soon as you walk in, you can tell that a lot of thought has been put in to absolutely everything. First of all, the place is impeccably clean - cleaner than any other place that we have rented. It really made us feel as if we were in our own home. The cottage also has absolutely everything you could need - from kitchen appliances and utensils, to cotton pads and q-tips in the bathrooms. There are also brand new slippers provided for each guest, as well as bathrobes, making you feel as if you’re at a spa. We stayed here in the fall, and enjoyed our time both indoors (with the beautiful and thoughtful decor), as well as outdoors, in the hot tub, hammocks, and around the fire pit. We look forward to coming back again!

    Sam2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • A lovely stay in the cabin, in the winter it is a bit chilly so come prepared with the lots of layers. Also the cabins are only heated by wood stove which can be difficult to maintain overnight.

  • Our cabin was just enough size for 2 people, very close to the nature, and because of the big glass entrance door it almost feels like you are sleeping outside. The smell of the wood was awesome. The atmosphere of the main building was so soothing with relaxing music and incense in the air. We would like to come back to here again and definitely recommend it to everyone!

    Natsuko2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Clean air, rustic feel to place, cozy room and great location for a weekend near the dark sky preserve!

    Nidhi2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! We got hit with rain but the smell of the forest and the rain on the roof led to the deepest sleep imaginable. A very private space we didnt see anyone, but yet just a short walk to indoor amenities, which just added to the relaxing. We definitely want to come back for a yoga retreat. Just pack your bug spray and you're good to go.

    Kelly2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible. The “deer suite” was the perfect size for two people, and the wood stove keep the tent warm and cozy. I wish I stayed longer, I am hoping to come back in the future as only night is surely not enough. Thank You for such incredible hospitality.

    Karina2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Jenn’s beautiful resort for one night. We didn’t quite know what to expect since the weather was chilly, but we had a wonderful stay despite the cold temperatures. They gave us wood and a fire starter and even offered their assistance to get the fire going in the wood stove. The glamping tent itself was cozy and provided the perfect weekend getaway. There is a trail on the property that is maintained and we had a lovely walk with our morning coffee that Jenn provided to us inside the main building. Pictures just don’t do this place justice - you’ll have to check it out for yourself! We will definitely be back in the future!

Host literally provided everything we didn’t think to bring. The kayakes and canoe definitely made the trip even better. We loved the gazebo area. It was really nice to eat breakfast or hang out and still be able to see the Lakeview. The garage area also had a pool and ping pong table which was great for rainy days. We would definitely book again in the future. Thank you so much for a great experience.

  • Very nice and cozy. Great place to relax. Bang for its buck and also the host gave us a tour of the place.
