“The food is delicious. The portions are huge. The place is nice. The service is great. It stays open late. What more could someone want? We’d say the pasta is particularly good. Although they have cuisine options ranging from Shahi Indian to European. ”

“This little restaurant is easy to miss. So, if you're not looking for it, you probably won't notice it. It's kind of below ground level at the further end of the Mall Road. However, if you do happen upon it, this place is excellent. The food is delicious, they have some really fun cocktail and mocktail options. The space itself is lovely! Their butter chicken is great. ”

“An iconic coffee house chain in India. The menu is said to not have changed in fifty years. It serves South Indian food--dosas, vadas, sambhar--at ridiculously low prices. The drip coffee is also quite good, we’ve had quite a few! ”

“Ask a local about best place for chole bhature and the first thing that that will say is - Sita ram Ji's shop in lakkar bazaar. I had the pleasure of being served chole bhature by his own hands when i was a kid. Now he is survived by his sons who continue to preserve the same mouthwatering flavour. Bhature are light and the sauce that they add on top of chole is the magic ingredient. Must try for foodies.”

“Located on the Mall Road opposite town hall it is a popular colonial era fine dine restaurant. Budget friendly and excellent services and staff. Our top recommendation not just for the food but for it's Iconic Status for being a relic of the era gone by. A must visit before 2019, since it will close all operations sometime in 2019 due very unfortunate circumstances after 60 years of consistently being the most popular eatery in Shimla. It serves Indian food but will notice the traces of Colonial British influence on the fine décor, mannerism and the menu at this place. You can the Indian or Chinese Main course. The ground floor of this place serves snacks. The Gulab Jamuns are a must have.”
