Breath-taking Country Side House (Hall with grounds over 100 acres), 1h40 from London. Perfect to relax: fire places, big swimming pool, tennis court, orangery colonnade and two lakes.
"Perhaps the most beautiful house of manageable size in Suffolk" (Norman Scarfe), this exceptional Grade I listed Georgian country house is set in an extensive parkland and woodland: this wonderful location is perfect to make yourself relax walking through private breath-taking woods, swimming in the crystalline water of the pool settled in the middle of an amazing english garden and observing the incredible quantity of different birds, deers and squirrels which resides in the park.
  • We had a truly unforgettable New Year’s celebration at Worlingham Hall. We could not have asked for a more comfortable and stunning space. What we really appreciated also was how accommodating and attentive the hosts were to our requests and questions. They really made it seem like our satisfaction was their priority. We really could not recommend this space highly enough to anyone who is looking to have a large gathering in an idyllic setting.

  • Grand and elegant, yet quirky and homely too - once we’d got to know our way around! A magical venue that made for the most amazing and memorable wedding weekend. Special thanks to Sarath and his charming family for their discreet service and support.

  • This beautiful house was the perfect venue for my 30th, 23 of us arrived for a dinner (provided by the local, and lovely and brilliant Country Cuisine!), and a great murder mystery (by the great Murder Mystery Meals-this location provides the most perfect background for this!) followed by a one night stay. It was more than I could have asked for; Tommaso was great and responded very quickly, his assistant Mannon was lovely and helped answer my every question in the run up to the event, and Sarath, who greeted me on arrival, was a patient (as my train was cancelled!) and friendly guide. I wasn’t sure how much would need to be done on arrival, but we arrived to a fully set table for the event and it was all ready to go. This place has piles of room, a stunning big house feel, a ‘party’ room with full sound system and lighting (which was a pleasant surprise!) and glorious grounds with a warm pool. You would struggle to find better for a mid-size gathering-we all wished we could have stayed for much longer to truly explore (though I am sure they were glad when our loud group had gone!).

  • Amazing venue! I highly recommend!

  • What an epic stay for my boyfriend's 30th birthday! 22 of us stayed at this house and I had been planning this stay and party for 9-10 months. Tommaso was so helpful and quick at answering my messages, very detailed and always helped me out when I needed it! We arrived at the property and the staff were incredible, already were prepping for the dinner they were cooking and helping us with our groceries. The house was HUGE all bedrooms extremely clean and tidy, so much space for way more than 22 people. The pool area is lovely and we had a great BBQ! The dinner table was already set, the the chef that Tomasso recommended was superb, a 3 course delicious dinner and they did all the washing us, also helped us clean and sweep on our last day. Additionally, there is a party room that is not on the photos, with lights and speakers, like having your very own club! They also provided us with extra food, cups, straws, towels etc, everything you would need. Thank you for making this weekend so memorable and special for my boyfriend and my friends, we will definitely be back for another occasion in the future!

  • Sarath -the housekeeper- was great, house was spotlessly clean (for such a large, old, house). The garden and grounds particularly are in fantastic condition, with lovely flowers, shrubs and trees. Be aware that some of the rooms are not en-suite but this is to be expected in such an old house; all in all, a lovely place.

  • Great place, had a fantastic stay. Really enjoyed relaxing by the pool and having a big formal dinner in the awesome dining in the evening. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back.

    Rosie2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an incredible place. The photos don’t do justice to just how stunning and huge this place is. We hired the house plus a cottage in the grounds for my 30th birthday and it was better than I could ever have anticipated. The house easily accommodated 37 of us without feeling even slightly cramped. The food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, absolutely delicious! And finally the staff were fantastic. We barely noticed Sarath and his team yet everything was taken care of and delivered to the highest standard. The best weekend, in the most incredible setting, I could not have asked for any more! If you’re thinking of staying here, you must!

*** FOLLOWING GOVERNMENT ADVICE NO NEW BOOKINGS TILL JUNE *** A unique space in a detached timber building arranged as a "Cabinet of Curiosities" (BEWARE Some are quite scary). The space is heated by a wood burner. There is a sleeping loft with double mattress, and a further double sofa bed in the lounge area. It has an office area with wireless internet. There is a sauna and hot tub. There is an adjacent shower room/toilet and small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.
This is a detached timber building measuring approximately six metres by four metres at the end of a rural garden, the building materials have come from all over the world and each object inside has it’s own story to tell. For example, the Aspen used to clad the sauna was collected by me during a trip to Parnu in Estonia and above the door you can find a shingle from the roof of the first prison in Australia. I have always been a “collector of the unusual” since my grandfather took me to visit a museum when I was about 6. The exhibits here are a mixture of genuine artifacts and genuine hoaxes!! Guests can look around my collection and I am happy to discuss it with them. The building is insulated, double glazed and heated by a wood burner, the logs are responsibly sourced by me by clearing standing dead trees from woodland approximately 1 mile away then seasoning them naturally under cover for a year or so. The space comprises of: . A lounge area approximately four metres square which houses a small museum in the style of a Victorian "Cabinet of Curiosities" . A sleeping loft with double mattress (Please note, this is accessed by a vertical fixed ladder). . A double sofa bed in the lounge for when there are more than 2 guests or for less agile visitors. . An office area with a desk, fast wireless internet, DVD player/ projector with surround sound system (There are a wide variety of DVDs in the main house that you can borrow). . There is an electrically heated sauna under the sleeping loft and hot tub outside (We ask you to consider a voluntary donation if you use the sauna or hot tub as they are expensive to run - this can be placed in the antique offertory box by the sauna door) . There is a further loft space above the porch which contains further items of interest. . An adjacent building houses a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing up bowl - crockery and cutlery for your use are stored in here. There is a shower room with a shower, wash basin and toilet, and a further "museum" room. Please be aware that some guests may consider some of the museum exhibits to be a bit gruesome and scary (they include such things as a grave robbed Victorian skull, a trunk purported to have contained the remains of a murder victim and a feejee mermaid etc. as well as less scary artefacts such as a suit of armour, rare Oliver typewriter, gramophone, clocks, a magic lantern and such like.
We are situated in a small village in the Norfolk Broads. There is a pub in walking distance but no village shop. It is really peaceful and has no streetlights which means we get to see the most amazing skies at night (There is a telescope available for use if you ask at the main house). From the museum you see more wildlife than people!
  • BEST AIR BNB EVER! Set in a beautiful little village is this hidden gem which is Dave and Sue's Night at the Museum. I can't think of anything to fault and I'm really struggling to pick which aspect of my 1 night stay was my favorite. The hosts (and their dog!) were just lovely and welcoming, the items in the museum were so much fun to look through, the cosy bed, !!!THE HOT TUB!!!, and just general homeliness about the whole place was very memorable. The village pub (as reccomended) served really yummy food and had great hospitality and atmosphere. I'm truly delighted we have had this experience and can't wait to return. The hosts really went above and beyond and it didn't go unnoticed.

  • Fun and whacky (in a good way) stay. Lovley to lay in bed and look out the window across to the field to see chicken and rabbits running free. Hot tub was deliciously hot, and the peacefulness was bliss.

    Marcus2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, comfortable and some lovely touches to add to the intrigue of a night at the museum. Firstly, David was a great host and his guide to some of the curiosities in the property was first rate. Lots of stylish little twists, lovely sauna and hot-tub (perfect for stargazing). Beautifully quiet and with plenty of fresh air. If you are in search of something unique, this is the place for you.

    Philip2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic stay! Enjoyed the quirkiness and looking at everything the museum had to offer. Dave was a great host, extremely friendly and helpful. The hot tub at night looking at the stars was amazing! The wood burner kept the place warm and cosy!

  • Such a wonderful space. A beautiful little sanctuary that facilitates curiosity and playfulness, as well rest and relaxation. Will definitely be back.

  • This place is great if you just want to get away from it all but want something different. Hot tub and sauna amazing. Can wait for the pool to be done. We will definitely be back in the summer.

    Sophie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place to stay. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the amenities were exactly as described and the curiosities in the museum were uncountable. Dave and Sue are extremely friendly and accommodating, full of advice and local knowledge!

  • Graham and Dee were a lovely, polite and friendly couple. Their home was very clean, modern and well furnished. The only issue I had was being placed in a room different to that which I booked, but I would recommend them as hosts and stay again.

    Andy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at Dee and Graham’s place. • Philip is welcoming, polite and a charming host. The accomodation is comfortable clean and homely. Highly recommended for a short or longer stay.

    Penny2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Philip's place is a perfect bolthole, with everything you need. Philip is an amazing, generous, welcoming host; he both leaves you to your own devices and is happy to chat away about anything and everything whenever you want/need. He's also very fond of chocolate, which I think is always a good character trait :) if you need any local information or just want to yell a little about the state of the world, Philip is there! There is a lovely garden out the back of the property, and the room has everything you need, as does the bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and appliances, and the house overall has a really homely feel, and is very secure. And for anyone who is glued to their phone/tablet/etc, the WiFi is perfect. Location-wise, you are: 20 minutes on foot from the train station/town centre, and about 10 minutes by bus. There is a supermarket just a few minutes in one direction, and the beach is accessible on foot just a few minutes in the other! The beach is beautiful, perfect for a stroll, plenty of cafes and bars if you want to stop and watch the waves. Thank you Philip!

  • A restful environment as I needed for the week I spend at the ibtc. Philip is a very welcoming and thoughtful host. And I was happy to find sage in the garden, and a full kitchen to cook as I like to chill.

  • TWe have lived away from the family for nearly 6 years and have always found it tricky to visit due to accommodation prices and having dogs. We have found our new home away form home, it was the perfect size, dog friendly and exactly what we were looking for. The greeting gifts were greatly received are a long journey. The place is nicely decorated, and little things like carrier bags, milk for tea, washing up liquid and dvds , along with local take out menus and your nearest superstore were helpful. we know th area, but thought it was a great idea for those visiting first time. The location is lovely and quiet, it exceeded my expectations. Great little place to stay!

This large room has its own private corridor and rather grand entrance in this beautiful newly converted Grade 2 listed ex theatre. With tv area (Now TV) dining area, bedroom area and fully equipped kitchenette area with fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle (water from the bathroom) it makes a compact base for exploring the Suffolk coast, wildlife reserves and the Norfolk Broads. Located in the town centre, 5 minute walk from the high street, and 15 minutes walk from the station and beach.
Guests use the main entrance which leads to a small entrance hall. Here they’ll find books and games they are welcome to read or play as well as some beach games, kites and beach rugs in the cupboard below that you are welcome to take out with you. (Please note that taking towels from the property to the beach is not allowed.) From here you enter a long corridor with a beautiful bathroom at one end and the studio at the other. There are two other doors which are locked. One leads to my part of the building - you’re most welcome to visit anytime when I’m home - the other is another bedroom I call the Seagull room which is available to let in addition to the studio if you’d like some more space (1 kingsize bed) but is otherwise locked. You have your own front door key and can come and go whenever you like. There is a security camera over the front door on the outside so I am aware of people coming and going but I don’t monitor this in any way. The studio is one large room suitable for a couple of adults and up to two or three children. It would be a tight space for 5 adults - though the seagull room is always an option. It is all newly refurbished, the furniture, bedding etc is mostly new too so all in great condition.
As this building is 200 yers old it stands in an old part of the town with many truly ancient buildings. Only 5 minutes from the Heritage High Street and lowestoft’s famous ‘scores’ you can easily walk to the beautiful Sparrow’s Nest park in 5 minutes to see the lighthouse and the sea below. Ness point is close by (Britain’s most easterly point) and all of this smallish town is easily accessible on foot. The wilder North Beach and more touristy South Beach are fairly equidistant and both are worth a walk. The station is about 15 minutes on foot and provides easy transport to Oulton Broad and the many towns and villages of Suffolk (cycles allowed on board) as well as the cities of Norwich and Ipswich. On street parking is free and available outside the building.
  • Gill was a fantastic host, communication was great when enquiring/booking and check-in was very easy. Gill’s place was exactly how it’s shown in the photos but what the photos don’t show are the many thoughtful and unique little touches throughout the studio. Gill went above and beyond, she was very warm and friendly when we met but also gives you total privacy. The studio is totally self-contained and would be perfect for either a couple or a family of up to 4 like us. Thanks for a lovely weekend Gill x

    Amanda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Gill is a very accommodating host and her home is immaculate, in the cheerful seaside town of Lowestoft. The annexe had everything I needed for my stay. I would recommend to anyone looking to be self sufficient for a short break away or working away.

  • Had a one night stay here, it is such a lovely place with a private entrance. Richard met me and gave me a tour of the apartment and gave me an information pack which was super useful! Such a cosy little flat and was very warm, the heating was set for my arrival! Within walking distance to shops and takeaways and the beach. The only thing that put me off slightly is being woken at 5am with noise from upstairs but they were up front about this as it is a family home so it was to be expected! Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thanks for having me Richard and Nikki!

  • We have had a great few days at Mole End. I booked it for myself, hubbie and children and our 2 small doggies so that we could visit my family locally without having to impose ourselves on any of them! Helen greeted us on arrival and welcomed us into the Van, which was lovely and toasty warm, not at all what I expected from a caravan at the end of October! A tastefully decorated static caravan with comfy beds, chairs etc. Lovely fluffy towels to use in the bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with condiments, kitchen towel, cling film, foil and dog poo bags! The freezer even had some chips, waffles and ice cream in it! Helen left us a loaf of bread and pint of milk which is a lovely touch. A much required cuppa as soon as we arrived. The book shelf in the lounge has a read for everyone. I did pick up 'The trouble with goats and sheep' and started that! Location is perfect for dogs and kids, but also i'm sure very relaxing if you didn't have either of those! We enjoyed a couple of walks over to the park and along the river to Carlton Marshes. Carvery at the Wherry hotel one evening which is a great price weekdays. We didn't use the clubhouse or swimming pool so I cant comment on that. Overall a great little holiday home at a really good price. We will certainly be returning when the next round of family visits are due!! Thank you Helen for sharing your hidden gem! Carla & family (including noisy Reggie daschund cross who loved the low lounge window for guarding his fort!! I hope the local squirrels soon return!!)

    Carla2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mole End is a lovely holiday home in a great location. This cosy caravan had everything we needed. It is incredibly peaceful. We enjoyed being so close to nature and saw deer from the caravan. A short walk away gives lovely views across the water. You are close Everitt Park and Carlton Marshes, both amazing locations for dog walking. Thank you Helen for being a great host. We had a lovely stay and look forward to returning.

    Alice2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a perfect base for your adventures. It’s roomy, clean and perfect for families. A quiet little space that was just what we needed. Will definitely be back!

    Jane2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Mole End. It was definitely our best caravan experience to date. With Helen putting so much time and effort into making the caravan a home from home (cleanliness, decor, thoughtful extras), you couldn’t not be wowed by her hosting skills.

    Victoria2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • A real diamond. Sparkling clean, cosy, great location and every amenity you would want. Fresh bread was a lovely touch.

    Fraser2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A great little place to stay. I hope to return again sometime.

    Adrian2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Mole End and do hope to return. We had some really fantastic walks, saw Marsh Harriers, Chinese water deer and a Heron to name just a few of the wildlife. The area is full of wonderful scenery and views. Mole End was indeed home from home, very cosy, wonderfully decorated and with lots if finishing touches that made the place comfortable. There is Aldi, which is about a 10 minute drive, if that, up the road too. Thank you Helen for putting such a beautiful abode on Airbnb and letting us stay there.

    Laura2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mole End is an absolute delight to stay in. From the impeccable cleanliness to the modernised features inside, this really is a true home from home feeling. Mole End is situated in a private setting; away from the club house, so perfect for much needed peace and quiet. We loved nothing more than sitting on the decking in the evening with a glass of wine under the stars - absolute perfection! Helen is the most amazing host from start to finish. She really goes the extra mile and makes sure you have the perfect holiday; one of the nicest hosts I’ve had the pleasure of communicating with. Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed! We loved every minute! Thank you Helen xxx

Betsey Trotwood is a beautiful renovated stable at The Rookery at Blundeston and it was visited by Charles Dickens and featured in his favourite book David Copperfield. The cottage successfully combines period features and contemporary luxury to create a stylish holiday with private courtyard. The spacious kitchen dining room is on the ground floor and opens into the living room, the ground floor boasts under floor heating. There are also double doors with access to a private secluded patio. On the first floor you will find the luxurious master bedroom with a king size bed and a claw footbath, there is also a modern shower room next door. Also on the first floor you will find a spacious single room which also has a pull out bed to make it into a twin. Throughout the property you will see unique woodwork, these are complimented by bespoke doors made from reclaimed local joists.
"What a gorgeous place! We have really enjoyed our stay at Betsey Trotwood - we don't want to go. Thank you for all the recommendations, we have explored the area and discovered some beautiful places and enjoyed some delicious food. We are already planning our next trip"
With The Rookery featuring in the beginning of Dickens’ favourite book, Betsey is an ideal base for a regional tour of Dickensian History through Blundeston, Somerleyton, and Great Yarmouth. Step back into British history with a visit to the Somerleyton Estate just two minutes away; set in 5000 acres, Somerleyton Hall is widely acclaimed as one of the most beautiful stately homes in Britain and is open to the public every April to September. There’s plenty of walks within easy reach, as well as a short one to the village pub. Nearby Lound Lakes is a nature reserve worth a visit to potentially kingfisher, osprey and bittern (when they’re visiting!). Woodland trails at Herringfleet, Corton or Fritton. Beaches at Gorleston, Corton, and Lowestoft are within 10 minutes, or wander from the property down to the Halvergate Marshes and through to Somerleyton and make a day of it, with or without your dog. Not only is it charming, but Blundeston is a very central village for visiting the Norfolk and Suffolk Coasts and Oulton Broad, the most southern area of open water in the Broads system where there are a range of lovely restaurants and pubs. There is a warm and friendly village pub, The Plough, just 500m away, where you can taste good home cooked food and local ales. Neighbouring Lound and Somerleyton both have good gastro pubs. Hopton nearby includes leisure resorts and amusement complexes, notably Potters Resort home of World Championship Bowls. Lowestoft, Gorleston and Great Yarmouth are a short drive, and offer everything from sedate museums to the exciting Pleasure Beach, Africa Alive and Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park. Add to that within in little over 30 minutes are Southwold and the Heritage Suffolk Coast or the fine city of Norwich and North Norfolk beyond.
  • Tranquil,comfortable and excellent quality

  • Betsy Trotwood is a little gem. A beautiful converted stable it was perfect for our family. Our girls 6 and 3 loved playing with the owners dog! Perfectly situated for exploring the local area of Southwold, Gorleston-on-Sea and Yarmouth. I would highly recommend this holiday home.

  • An amazing find. A beautifully renovated stable next to the owner's gorgeous house. Equipped really well with everything you can think of (the Aga was a cosy treat on chilly days), plus a lovely cake, wine and flowers when we arrived. It's a quiet, remote setting but a short drive to lots of interesting things to do. The owners are really friendly and welcoming, as are their cats and enthusiastic dog, Lola.

    Joanne2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Betsey is a gorgeous cottage, full of character and charm. The hosts, Michaela and Matt, are lovely and gave us a warm welcome (wine and cake, always a win!), and were helpful and friendly throughout. Our small children loved playing with Lola the dog and enjoying the garden. It is a secluded place so you will need a car, but we had a great time here and enjoyed exploring the area.

  • We couldn't have asked for better hosts throughout our whole stay. It was everything you we wanted and more and we will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends. The hosts were extremely welcoming and always offered suggestions when we mentioned things we was looking to do. The room is extremely well kept and we made the most of the private hot tub during our stay which was a lovely touch.

  • A little gem of a find.. It's my first experience with airbnb and this place will take some beating.. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere but that only adds to the appeal.. It is well placed to explore from and we were even given the use of two bikes to do so.. Communications were great with Carl taking time out of his holiday to get back to me straight away.. Accommodated our every need and were extremely thoughtful.. The added touches made our stay more special.. The chilled wine in the fridge, the food and snacks.. The towels and robes for the hot tub.. We'll definitely be back if you'll have us.. Thanks again... J Oh and a special thanks to Sam and Georgia.. They're a credit to you!!

It's a really welcoming space and I felt very at home. David was very quick to respond to messages and offered lots of recommendations on local amenities to make my stay more comfortable. The amenities (kettle/toaster/ fridge) were also great and really useful! Thanks!

  • Beautiful brand new place with lots of little details that will make your stay perfect. The property was absolutely spotless. The decor is lovely and all was very good quality. There were local magazines up to date plus lots of leaflets with info about the area. Chris is clearly putting a lot of effort. Her attention to detail is outstanding. There was tea, coffee, sugar. Plus expreso coffee machine with capsules, fresh milk and mineral water. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Lovely sea views! Unfortunately we couldn't access the wifi service provided by the resort (not Chris's fault). Amazing host with a gorgeous place. Highly recommended.

  • We had a lovely stay here. It was so lovely to step outside, see the sea and hear the waves. The space worked brilliantly for us as a family of four adults. We walked into Lowestoft along the beach and had a great visit to Southwold. The November rain was no barrier to enjoying our trip and we found the space really generous. Chris was always very prompt at responding to messages and made us feel very welcome. One of our best Airbnb experiences!

    Julian2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great caravan! Chris is a fantastic host who left thoughtful touches and essentials throughout. Our doggie Lola loved the stay, plus the site staff were friendly and accommodating. A lovely little abode which we would aim to return to again

Quiet road, on coldesac. There's a good bus route to town & beach. Otherwise just a short 20 minute walk into town. 2 min walk to bus stop & row of convinience shops; post office, Premier shop, Bakery/cafe, Barbers, Butchers, betting office, and fish & chip shop. There is also a Tesco express a few metres further down the road and tea rooms just a 10 min walk in other direction. Local parks/recreational areas nearby, Gunton woodlands and a 5-7 min walk to the waveney leisure/sports centre.
Sparrows nest PARK is nearby with an array of close by CAFES and AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT " Gardinios" and a short walk to the AWARD WINNING BEACH. A little further is the famous costal cafe "the lighthouse cafe" serving a truly scrumptious breakfast! or try their selection of British hearty lunches or Martelos COFFEE SHOP within the park grounds, or take a wander around the maritime MUSEUM, watch the locals BOWLING on the outdoor Green or try out the Italian dishes at Gardinios. Sparrows nest Park is a stones throw away from Lowestoft TOWN CENTRE. where there is always something going on at the marina theatre/Seagul theatre. Follow through over the bridge passed Asda and you get to Oulton Broad "THE BROADS" where there's BOAT HIRING or the option of an organised BOAT TRIP. Or try the local fish at the FISH N CHIP SHOP Or the local FISH RESTAURANT. Do some BOUTIQUE shopping or grab a cheeky drink and watch the world go by on the water. The Wherry HOTEL offers a nice seating area to partake in this relaxing pass time. Yes we're still in Oulton Broad. The COMMODORE BAR AND RESTAURANT offer a nice lunch time/dinner menu and again is a nice place to sit indoors or out and overlooks the beautiful broads. There's a very nice PARK hosting some lovely shaded picnic areas. Home to a several TENNIS COURTS, a well equipt PLAY PARK, A WARTIME MUSEUM and a PETS CORNER. There are an array of CAFES to chose from, but I recommend the pretty little TEA ROOMS with its own quaint terraced garden. This is a must if you like home made cake, soup, scones and ice cream. Is situated out of the park, accross the road from the park next to GlamR BEAUTICIANS. OULTON BROAD ALSO HOSTS THE AWARD WINNING 🥇 HAIR SALON "CODE" as well as a popular BARBERS, a couple of WINE BARs, and some boutique shops. The INDIAN restaurant right by the RAILWAY STATION is worth a look The train runs through oulton broad with the option of a 45 minute journey ride to the lovely city of Norwich or add another 90 minutes to your journey and get the NORWICH TO LONDON COMMUTE

  • A clean and tidy space for exploring and in just the location we needed. This was our second time here and the in laws will be returning on their next visit. Communication with the hosts was great and they were very understanding when my mother in law accidentally posted the key through the letterbox instead of leaving in the requested place. Thank you Charley and Charles!

    Laura2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely cottage, it was sparkling clean and just so lovely, the milk was a nice touch, thank you for that. The outside isn’t great (as in neighbours are just messy & doesn’t look the best) but this cottage really stands out from the crowd and once you’re inside it’s an absolute haven. Located right near Gorleston Beach and 10 min drive from Sea Life and Yarmouth Beach Front. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

  • Lovely cottage with great facilities! Beautifully quiet and secluded, but with plenty of space for a family getaway. We had a lovely half term break here with our three kids, and the field, nature reserve, nearby beaches etc provided plenty of outdoor fun. Showers were hot with good water pressure, wood. Urning stove was lovely, under floor heating meant it was cosy even in February. Highly recommended!

    * REST ASSURED THAT THE CARAVAN IS CLEANED TO AN EXTREMELY HIGH STANDARD USING PRODUCTS RELEVANT TO OUR CURRENT HEALTH SITUATION. ALSO THE SIZE OF THE PARK AND LOW POPULATION MEANS IT IS HIGHLY LIKELY YOU WON’T BE NEAR ANYBODY ELSE!* Relax and unwind in a modern, clean and comfortable caravan with a direct, uninterrupted sea view. Azure Seas is a quiet beachside park yet only a short drive away from lots of entertainment.
If sitting on your own private decking gazing out to sea surrounded by peace and tranquility is your thing, this is your place! Supermarkets, pubs, leisure complex and entertainment galore also just a 5 minute drive away. Ideally situated between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth there is something for everyone. Great in the sunshine but also a warm and cosy Winter retreat! In November/December the seals come to have their pups on the beach nearby,a real experience not to be missed! One well behaved dog is welcome and the site itself is very dog friendly. All bedding and towels are included in your holiday so no extra things to bring or costs to consider. With a few seasonal exceptions you are welcome to have a short, couple of nights break or really unwind with a longer stay. Whatever you decide, you are welcome.
Corton is a small village and very quiet and friendly but a short drive away is the buzz of Great Yarmouth or the beauty of Southwold and Aldeburgh. A few minutes down the coast is Gorleston and Horsey beach for unmissable seal watching! Whether you are in need of a peaceful retreat or a fun-filled getaway this really is the ideal place.
  • We had a fantastic stay at the caravan. We honestly have no negatives! I don’t think the description/pics do it justice. We had some sunshine and rain, and even though we stayed out of season there were lots of things to do. The area is lovely and peaceful. We enjoyed using the binoculars to look out to sea. The views are incredible. We’d definitely recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise. We had a very wet and fun walk along the coast to Lowestoft (took approx 1 hour and we were drenched by the rain and waves!). The caravan is super clean and cosy. It has everything you’d need. Sara has thought of everything- there are board games, books, DVDs, throws, a hot water bottle for chilly nights. The double bed was very comfortable and cosy. The shower was great. The oven was very efficient! There’s a microwave, a large fridge and a smallish but decent sized freezer. We travelled by public transport and got a bus from Great Yarmouth, which dropped us off a 5 min walk away from the site. There’s a bus every 30 mins on weekdays. We didn’t try the local pub, but the Chinese take away was very tasty and is only a few mins walk away. We were gutted when it was time to leave, and we hope to return in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful place with us Sara 😊

    Kimberley2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • I always say never visit the same place twice, but this is our second visit and we’ve more planned. I love the sea view, the sound of the waves on the beach and the cosy and comfortable space. Perfect for couples and a small family alike, it was a brilliant short break to relax and chill by the beach. Cannot recommend Sara’s place highly enough it’s been excellent, it’s clean, well equipped, and has a great location! If you’re thinking of going in winter don’t worry, it was lovely and warm inside even in February :)

    Stuart2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely home from home, everything you need and very comfy. Would highly recommend. Amazing views across the sea, so relaxing. Very quiet.

    Lydia2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's caravan truly is an amazing place to stay, it was super clean, it had everything we needed. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, but best of all views are incredible, it was great to watch boats sail past and be able to walk the dog down the beach. Will definitely stay again.

    Donovan2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place for families, specially for families with pets. Really close to the beach. Spotlessly clean and Sara went above and beyond to meet or needs. Really had a great time

    Ross2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, ideal for those wanting time to relax and enjoy the views.

    Mike2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Expect wonderful views, fresh air, long walks (if you want them) along the sandy beach or on the dunes behind, and a caravan that lacks for nothing. You can walk to the beach through trees and never have to go on a road if you don't want to. The caravan is equipped with everything you could want and more. The bed (cannot vouch for the twin beds as there was only me) was super comfortable and the shower has plentiful hot water on demand. The heating worked very well and the site was clean and very well maintained. My dog especially liked the dog shower! If you want a comfortable home with the best-uninterupted views across the North Sea you will not find better.

    Ronnilyn2019-12-02T00:00:00Z

‘Freddie’ sleeps 2 persons on a double bed, is equipped with underfloor heating and has a dedicated space for a small tent to be pitched next to it. There is a compact kitchenette (with fridge) and living space inside the pod and a balcony outside which can be closed up at night. A shower room (with toilet and basin) for the sole use of Freddie’s guests is situated nearby, together with a shared utility room. There is also access to a simply-equipped cooking shelter and near-at-hand parking.
As well as the immediate area around and close to the pod, you have sole use of a shower room and your own toilet. There is off-road parking and a shared utility room with fridge, microwave and washing up area. We provide tea and coffee making facilities as well as some milk, biscuits and cereals by way of a ‘welcome pack’.
We are located next to a country lane near the market town of Beccles in the beautiful Waveney Valley. There is one local pub within easy walking distance and another a little further away as well as plenty in the local area, both in Beccles and the surrounding villages and countryside. Southwold, Bungay, Loddon, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Halesworth, Harleston, the Broads National Park and the Norfolk and Suffolk coast are all within easy reach. There is plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding, boating and canoeing in the local area - we recommend OS Explorer Map OL40.
  • Our stay in Freddie couldn't have been better. Despite the gale force winds and rain, we were very comfortable day and night. Angela and Hugh are lovely hosts, and really care about your stay. We'll definitely be back!

    Francesca And Adam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this stay! Lovely warm and cosy, there were even hot water bottles in our bed ready for our arrival, it’s got everything you need including little breakfast facilities, a fridge, hob & kettle, board games and books and DVD’s! Lovely Angela was around to greet us and say goodbye and was very tentative whilst giving us some space to enjoy our time in Freddie. Was very nervous about separate toilet/shower facilities but it was lovely, spacious and clean and makes you forget that you’re actually glamping! Despite storm Dennis, the pod was still super cosy and still warm! Our puppies particularly loved the heated floor :) Angela was also kind enough to extend our check-out time without any charge, we didn’t want to leave!

    Abby2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It comes with everything you need, fridge, toaster, kettle! Little breakfast stuff! We took our dog who loved the underfloor heating. When booking we were worried about being cold seen as though it’s ‘glamping’ and mid winter but the pod was so cosy, Angela put hot water bottles in to pre warm the bed when we arrived and it stayed warm throughout! The shower block was lovely to have your own, very clean. Location is great, quiet and rural yet close to Morrison’s and beccles. Angela couldn’t have been more accommodating yet also gave us space to enjoy our stay.

    Zoe2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angela was a great host, providing lots of useful information on the area. Freddie is in a great location, perfect for visiting both Norfolk and Suffolk. Many thanks!

    Gemma2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Freddie. Angela was so attentive and really made us feel welcome. The space was clean and cosy and the facilities were good too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

    Kate2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot fault this as a place to stay for chilled out relaxation - stayed with family (2 adults, 3 kids and dog) occupying 2 of the shepherd huts plus one tent. Having our own bathroom facilities made the trip feel very luxurious (although the shared facilities were also spotless) - everything is catered for, lots of great little touches that make you feel more like in a boutique B&B than camping site! Angela always very quick to reply to communication and available during our stay if any questions. The site is beautifully laid out and the planting around and between huts and tent pitches makes it feel like you are in your own little meadow. Stayed last year for a few days and was back again this year - looking forward to next trip. Thanks again for fantastic stay.

The location was even better, with lots of things to do and see and right on the beach. We will definitely be staying again in the future. Thank you for having us x

  • Good location for local attractions with short drives to Lowestoft and Yarmouth. Very close to the sites swimming pool (which is clean and warm) and club house which serves good food. Spent 4 days with family over the new year and Leanne’s place provided the base for a great break, it was clean, tidy and enough space for the six of us.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The house itself is clean and warm and equipped with everything you could need. We stayed over Christmas and was able to cook our christmas dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The site itself is lovely. The pool is literally a 30 second walk from the front door and the staff are lovely. The beach is really nice too. We hope to return in the summer. Wonderful.

  • What a great place to stay in Lowestoft! Richies house is quirky, but in the best possible way, very interesting and ultra clean and comfortable. Richie himself is lovely, generous and trusting, the perfect host. Stay with him!!!

  • Richard's place was very clean and perfect for a short stay. The bed was big and comfortable to sleep in. We were also able to use the kitchen for small meals which was great.

  • Stayed two nights here. Everything was great. Spotlessly clean, comfortable with everything I needed. Richie was great in responding and very welcoming and helpful. The bed is amazingly comfy and the house is full of all sorts of interesting pieces of art and artefacts. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

  • Richie is a great host, his house is absolutely immaculate, in a very good condition and super clean. Richie has given a lot of attention to details both inside the house and outside in the garden. Shame I didn't get a chance to use the jacuzzi!! Next time as I will definitely come back and I highly recommend staying with him!

  • The house home of Philips is a homely place to stay and a happy place. Philip will do mostly anything for you to help and you will have a laugh and a good stay. The bedrooms are bright and clean and warm and everything you in a bedroom and a nice bed to sleep in you don't what to get up out of your bed. The house is good for everything you need kitchen were you can cook and room in the fridge freezer for your food and a cub bet for food and you can also do some washing when you like. The bathroom is shower room is fine to use and you can go in the lounge and watch TV and do all most anything you like there is also a good back garden and it's peacefully. Philips house home you have your own key so you can come and go how to like happy staying and laughing and having a good time at Philips home.

  • Philip is a great host. He is really friendly, and if you tell him you will arrive late, or leave early etc. he will arrange something with the keys. He is normally at home, anyway. Shared kitchen is handy so you can make tea, coffee, even cook a meal if you wish. Very quiet location, and safe.

  • Phillip is a great host, he makes you feel very welcome when you arrive. Parking is not a problem also as it's a long road with spaces.

A beautifully presented cottage set in a quiet sea side village. Fully equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing break away, or just an overnighter. Two double bedrooms, with a huge sofa that sleeps an extra 2 if needed. Minutes away from beautiful walks along the beach, and set centrally between a short drive/bus ride to Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth.
  • Booked this for 2 colleagues during a working week, as always Airbnb did us well and we will definitely return if working in the area again.

  • Had such a great time at David's house, the location is absolutely perfect - only a 2 minute walk to the beach! The house itself is so stylish and comfortable (even though the bathroom is a little interesting!), there were so many thoughtful touches; butter and milk in the fridge, a small breakfast tray and heating on for our arrival. Loved the little bar area in the dining room and the sofa was so comfortable, I could have slept on that! I would highly recommend staying here, we will be back if we're ever in the area again.

  • Good accommodation good location

    Jason2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, relaxing place to stay. The house has plenty of room and is very homely and comfortable. Whilst the house is close to the 'main road' it was so quiet, it wasn't noticeable. It is quite reliant on 'tech' - so those who are technically challenged my find it a little difficult - but if I managed to sort it out, anyone can! The beach is a short walk away, as is the village pub (did not visit), and so is a very yummy Chinese restaurant. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family and would definitely use again if we wanted to stay in the area again.
