“Every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year a street market is held in Wells Market Place, with the exception of the first Saturday in May, when the Charter Fair is held instead. The market has many different stalls available on Wednesdays and Saturdays including fine foods, fruit and vegetables, lovely clothing, handbags & purses, books, jigsaw puzzles and many other unusual items suitable for Christmas and birthday presents. ”
