Places to stay in Souris

Places to stay in Souris
Our sleeping cabins resemble lobster bait shacks similar to what you’ll see in PEI’s many fishing villages/harbours. They were lovingly handcrafted using Island White Cedar. They are rustic but cozy, comfortable yet basic. Located in a village setting close to all amenities, coffee shops and restaurants are walking distance away. The Confederation Trail and Iles de la Madeleine Ferry(CTMA) are super close. Souris Beach is a 15min walk and our other famous beaches are a close drive away.
Our cabins measure 12 x 12 ft and include a double bed with duvet bedding made from sustainable cotton and hung out to dry, bath area with a shower stall, mini fridge and two chairs. Except for a few bath accessories there is no plastic. They are insulated, heated electrically and cooled only by an oscillating fan and two screened windows that allow the ocean breeze to flow through. A cathedral ceiling makes them feel airy and spacious. There is no TV. Wifi in common area. Storage is limited to a shelf above the chairs and under the bed. There is no cooking possible but there are various options within walking distance.
Souris is a small but quaint, fishing village right by the Ocean. Route #2 passes through Souris and continues east to East Point. The Souris Beach/Park is located at the beginning of the Town offering Seafood, shopping and paddle boards/bike rentals.
  • Kim and her talented husband have created these simple yet efficient, eye-catching shacks and they are thoroughly enjoyable. They provided exactly what we needed for our three day stay. Eateries are within walking distance and it couldn't be easier to find just off the Main Street.

  • Kim was super friendly and kind. The shanty shacks are really cute. So clean. And well located! We loved it so much we extended our stay! Highly recommend Kim’s shanty stays!

  • This place was super cute! Exactly as pictured in the photos. Everything we needed was in the space. We came in mid September and were worried it might be a little cool at night, but we were quite warm because of the heater. Kim recommended a great restaurant, 21 breakwater, that we were lucky enough to get a table at! Also loved the cat who often came to visit us when were sitting outside.

  • Kim is so welcoming, makes you feel glad to be her guest!

  • Once again, a marvelous AirBNB stay. It's like a home away from home for us. We walked to restaurants and for coffee in town. The house has beautiful ocean views, and is so clean, comfortable, and cozy. There was a snowstorm last night, and the driveway was plowed before we had to leave today. We can't wait to return for another visit!

    Marilyn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Well appointed and cozy home with a great view of the ocean. Desiree and Mitchell were excellent hosts and have put a lot of thought and effort into restoring their family home. The place was very clean and had comfortable beds and pillows. We would be happy to stay here again.

  • We loved our stay here. The host are accommodating. We loved all the extras in the house that most places wouldn't have. I definitely would recommend staying here.

    Brenda2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

    Marilyn2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is the perfect spot for a visit to Souris. It's within walking distance to anything you need groceries, restaurants, pharmacy, etc. The airbnb itself was very comfortable and was stocked with amenities. I read a few reviews saying it was loud on the main street but my husband and I had no trouble sleeping. Mitchell was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to maximize our stay. We would definitely stay again!

  • Whether you are staying for a short time or a couple weeks this is the cottage to stay at! Brady has gone above and beyond thinking of all the little touches to make your stay effortless. We were pleasantly surprised by everything all the extras for our kids- games, toys, high chair, pack and play, even utensils and plates! They felt completely at home which makes mom and dads trip extra relaxing. Thank you for everything Brady, we hope be back again soon! The Foleys

  • Bothwell Beach House is a great base for a PEI trip. The house is spacious and welcoming with everything you need, and Brady is easy to connect with for any details. We are a family of 4 plus Grammie and we all fit with room to spare and never felt like we were tripping over each other. The house is nestled amongst trees a short walk (or really short drive if you're feeling lazy) to the beach. The short path from the end of the road to the beach is a little steep - no issue for us or the kids although Grammie had to take it slow. Netflix and a pile of games and puzzles for rainy days and when the sun was out the beach is gorgeous. Our kids are 4 and 6 and they just loved wading out in the warm, shallow waves to look for crabs and shells. Nice to enjoy a white sand beach for a change to the prevalent red beaches around the island. And, of course, no shortage of ice cream or fresh fish within a short drive. One local tip we took advantage of was the fish truck guy who sells fresh and frozen fish and shellfish on Tuesdays and Fridays in the parking lot across the road from the park in the middle of the main street through Souris. He's there until around 1pm both days and only takes cash. Also the fresh oysters from the Lobster Shack were a great 'welcome to PEI' app, just BYO shucking knife! Thanks, Brady, for sharing such a great spot on the East coast and being such a generous host.

    David2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of 5 had a wonderful week at Brady's place. The cottage is beautiful and well decorated with beautiful pictures of the area. Each of my three children had their own bed which they really enjoyed. The screen room was an added bonus to relax in the evening listening to the waves with a glass of wine. Be sure to visit Basin Head Beach and East Coast Paddle Adventures. The kids (and the dad) had a blast jumping off the Basin Head bridge and paddle boarding in the waves. Brady even thought of leaving us a welcoming gift (bottle of wine and delicious homemade cinnamon buns). Definitely a place I would recommend.

    Michel2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Brady’s cottage is in a serene and quiet spot with access to the best beach in PEI. The cottage is new, immaculately clean and is tastefully decorated. We had a relaxing stay and would encourage others to stay here!

    Susan2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothwell Beach- house provided a fantastic accommodation for our beach vacation in Eastern PEI. It is perfectly setup- we wanted for nothing. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the screen room and listening to the waves. Would recommend this spot to anyone! Thanks

    Wendy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage had everything we could have hoped for with thoughtful amenities and extras. It is a beautifully decorated cottage and smartly laid out - easily accommodating up to 9 people. We were also able to host a family event with 30 people one evening. Brady was an eceptional host - responding promptly and checking on our stay. Check-in went very smooth with a thoughtful welcome package. The beach is a bit of a walk but was worth the effort. The drive to town for groceries and supplies was only about 15 mins. There is also a well-stocked store conveniently located about 5 mins from the cottage. Overall, it was a fantastic week long vacation - and the weather was great too! We would certainly this recommend location.

    Gary2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Brady’s place. Great house, perfect size, wonderful location. Brady has thought of everything!

    Stacey2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • WOW. This is the standard to which all PEI airbnbs should aspire. It's immaculately clean, private, check-in and check-out are a breeze, the furnishings are comfortable, the amenities are great, and the decor throughout this lovely cottage -- at every level -- sings a modern, sun-drenched, casual-beach-vibes, specifically PEI-inspired siren song without ever going overboard. The host has clearly put a lot of thought, research, resourcefulness, and love into the whole place. Best parts: 1) in mid-July, hundreds of blooming lupins line the unspoiled country lane leading to the house. Beautiful. 2) I spent a lot of quality time on the screened porch listening to the ocean, completely bug-free, in blissful seclusion. I'm so glad my family got to relax and make memories here. I just got home and miss it already.

  • Great host and fantastic view!! Stayed in March during the snow season. She Plowed snow and warmed up entire house before arrival. We enjoy the view from living room everymorning. Only 1 bathroom but deep bathtab and laundry and dryer attached. Facing freeway made easy commute but not too noisy during the winter time.

  • We would highly recommend this lovely home. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable with a great view! We loved our stay in PEI - such a pretty province. We saw the Anne of Green Gables Musical at Confederation Centre - it was really fantastic!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Souris. The cottage is bright, beautifully decorated, very clean, and has a nice ocean view. Everything on the Island is within a reasonable drive. If you’re a foodie, make sure the “Fireworks Feast” at Inn at Bay Fortune is on your list - it’s only a ten minute drive away. Courtney was very responsive and ensured everything was set for our arrival. I hope to return on a future visit to the Island.

    Paul2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was so wonderful. Perfectly clean, beautifully laid out and well-appointed, spacious yet cozy, comfortable, welcoming for young families, a sweet welcome basket, and a stunning view of fields & sea through huge windows. Outdoors, my two young sons had a blast running up and down the big grassy hill and exploring the yard & swingset. We fell in love with Souris and with this house and it sure was hard to leave. Courtney's tips directed us to some incredible, unpopulated local beaches and we had a dream vacation from beginning to end. A truly fantastic vacation home & experience. Thank you, Courtney!

  • Clean, excellent customer service, beautiful cottage with a breathtaking view! Highly recommend taking a trip to Souris, PEI to stay at this cottage!

  • As close to perfect as you could get from an air b n b. Gorgeous home. Insanely comfortable beds. Convenient location. Strongly recommended.

    Ryan2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience. Stayed here so that we could be close to family for Christmas and discovered that the whole place had been decorated for us! An amazing escape from a busy life, just 5 minutes from Souris which is quickly becoming one of my favorite PEI towns. The weather would have been mildly restricting if we had any plans to actually leave the house, but the snow was kept fairly clean.

    Sam2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The spot is spectacular. Warm and inviting and sparkling clean. Loved the view of the potato fields overlooking the souris water in the distance. Truly a PEI view. We loved this spot and hope to return some day in the near future.

*****We are redecorating! We are excited to announce we are in the process of updating the furniture and adding some beautiful finishing touches to this space. The existing listing photos are representative of last years set up - trust us it will be beautiful and better! Please reach out if you have any questions if you are booking well in advance. The final new photos will be launch around the middle of May, for our first booking Early June***
Welcome to the barn! This revamped rustic barn has all the modern comforts you could want, with a really unique twist. Beautiful views, and a very comfortable bed. A full bathroom - including a washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, and TV with Netflix for the rainy days. Enjoy the backyard living space and your own BBQ, or wind down and watch the water from the front patio or the hammock chair. This is a 120 year old barn converted into a modern cottage. Available from May - October, its cozy and requires a heater on some cooler night. Renovations were completed in 2019 so everything is fresh and new, with the exception of the old beams, beautiful vaulted ceiling, and super cool barn doors.
Georgetown is a beautiful little spot to relax and unwind. With quick access to the confederation trail its a perfect stop of cyclists. It's only 10 minutes away from world class golf at Brudenell and Dunerave. There are a few lovely restaurants in town, with the Wheel House only steps away. Derryl's convenience store offers most basic needs, as well as a yummy lunch grill. There are also many artisan shops on Water street, plus the King Playhouse which operates into the fall. So many things to enjoy.
  • Our stay here was everything I hoped for, and more!! I planned a secret anniversary trip for my husband and I, as we live on PEI, but rarely get out east. I searched long and hard to find the perfect, cozy retreat....and this was definitely everything I dreamed of. The hammock chair is what sold me. ;) But everything was SO cute, clean, and perfect in every way. I ADORE the way she decorated this space!!!! Even when it got a little cool and rainy overnight, it was quite cozy, and the space heater was plenty warm. The added bonus of the front opening to a view of the water was just amazing! When my husband echoed my thoughts this morning by saying, "Can we just stay here forever?" I knew it was a good choice. Thank you!!!

    Tai2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful location, and accomodations. Certainly the fanciest barn I've ever stayed in, everything was as described with great communication from the host.

    Al2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was gorgeous! I spent 3/4 of my time in that adorable hammock chair looking out at the ocean. The seating area out back is awesome. I will definitely be coming back!

Seaglass Haven was, for many years, the host’s seaglass art studio and gallery, Fire & Water Creations. (Hence the name) ☺. Totally remodelled and renovated it is now your haven, your peaceful retreat. We are within walking distance to the Inn at Bay Fortune, home of Chef Michael Smith’s famous Fireworks Feast. You can stroll to nearby beaches, read a book, or explore the Fortune area. It is a great place to walk, bike and swim. You can rent kayaks, paddleboards and canoes from Paddles on Fortune River a 15-minute walk or 5-minute car drive. 12 minutes away is the picturesque fishing village of Souris where you will find shopping, dining, groceries, fuel, post office, banking, laundry facilities, an historic lighthouse and the car ferry to the Magdalen Islands. En route to Souris visit Myriad Distillery, PEI’s first and only producers of a full range of artisan distilled spirits. Although they can’t claim to be the first makers of Shine on the Island, they do claim to be the best (and legal too). In 20 minutes you will find yourself at Basin Head beach, known for its ‘singing sands.’ And if you dare you can jump into the “run.” The tuna fishing capitol of the world is located just 25 minutes east at North Lake Harbour. Here you can book your own deep sea fishing excursion. Visit Greenwich National Park 20 minutes away. Spend the day exploring the park's trails, walking the floating boardwalk and visiting the sandy dunes. If golf is in your plans, Brudenell, Dundarave and Crowbush are all within 30 minutes. If you prefer a smaller course, Rolo Bay Greens, a 9-hole course, is just 5 minutes away. We are a 50 minute drive to Charlottetown. Lot's to do and all minutes away!
  • We so enjoyed your property and your above the call of duty with looking after our needs. John and Donna absolutely loved their wedding weekend spent at your property. On the drive home, we spoke numerous times of the over the top experience.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Seaglass Haven. It had everything we needed for our three night stay and made a wonderful base for exploring eastern PEI. We especially loved that it was only a three minute walk to the amazing FireWorks Feast at the Inn at Bay Fortune. I would highly recommend Teri’s place!

    Chelsea2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location

    Christine2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I agree with other reviews that our place was very clean which is number one on our list. Teri's home is located across the street from the bay which I feel water always offers a welcome view. Our host was there to help us but did not intervene with unnecessary information. Teri did stop by the day before we left to make sure that we were aware of the latest on Hurricane Dorian which was arriving the day we left and offered to extend our stay if we wanted to delay our travel. I feel that for the money we paid the value was well worth it.

  • Seaglass Haven is clean, cozy and unique! We stayed two nights. There is a small kitchen area; we had everything we needed to prepare hot breakfast. The proximity to the Fireworks Feast (Inn at Bay Fortune) was a key feature for us - the restaurant is less than a five-minute walk from here. We enjoyed the sunny deck and beautiful yard. Thanks so much for having us!

  • We just left after six idyllic days on the Brudenell River at Ben’s cottage. The photos were beautiful and we had been looking forward to our stay for a long time... but everything about this cottage exceeded our expectations. The location is stunning - swimming, fishing, biking, kayaking, and clamming right out of the back door, with a private sandy beach and friendly neighbors. I loved that we were away from some of the more heavily trafficked tourist areas. The house itself is beautifully designed and extremely well-appointed with two comfortable beds, an amazing walk-in shower as well as a bathtub, a beautiful open kitchen with all of the cooking supplies and spices you could need, and a gas grill. We loved spending mornings on the deck and in the hammock. My 12yo became an avid fisherman and went out several times, catching ten mackerel on the river. He and my husband even foraged for fresh oysters on the river! We enjoyed biking on the Confederation Trail with the two bikes provided. Ben was very responsive by email and text, with lots of local tips. In short: it was a perfect vacation. Our only regret is that we hadn’t planned more time here. We will definitely be back!

    Vanessa2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Location is incredible and Ben’s house which he built is great

    Alex2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful week at Kate and Ben's place. A great location on the Eastern side of PEI, away from most of the tourist crowds and close to many lovely beaches, walks, trails, etc. Georgetown and Montague are minutes away for groceries/supplies. The house was clean and charming and had gorgeous views of the sunset each evening. There were a couple different renters in the tent on the property during the week I was there, but the house and deck still felt pretty private. The use of the bike and kayak included in the rental were a HUGE plus; I kayaked right off the private beach, and an entrance to the Confederation Trail is three blocks from the house. Owners were super responsive to questions/issues; Kate was nice enough to lend me a hairdryer when I forgot mine, and Ben stopped by to fill up a flat bike tire and give me a clam-digging demo. Definitely recommend!

    Tina2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal place for a dream vacation. We took full advantage of the splendid terrace to take our meals, to admire the sunset or to observe the birds. The boys were very happy to use the kayaks and we had fun clam fishing. The chalet is fully equipped. We did not miss anything. It is also very well located to explore the eastern part of the island. Kate and Ben are welcoming, attentive and discreet hosts. We recommend this site warmly and we will surely come back!

  • Our Family loved our stay are Roma’s Would stay there again for sure 💕

    Chris2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Roma's beach house is a clean, extremely well-stocked, comfy spot with a sprawling yard looking out onto the ocean. We had an amazing family vacation there due, in part, to Roma's wonderful hospitality and attention to detail. Would highly recommend this spot!

  • Roma’s beach house is a very clean and well kept. She is very welcoming and accommodating. It is well stocked with odds and ends that you may have forgot, which was appreciated. There’s many sweet little touches through the house that are appreciated. I’d recommend fully!

  • Roma’s place was the perfect “chill zone” for our east coast adventures. It had everything we needed and more. Thanks for a great stay!!!

  • Great space with a beautiful view of the ocean. Large property for the kids to run around and everything you need

    Longena2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a temple of relaxation and rejuvenation in the arms of nature. Plenty of greens all around and the beach is just a walk away. Wake up early to experience mesmerizing colors of sunrise from the deck; in late afternoon you will find endless sea birds diving down like torpedoes to the bay for fishing and all day long you will catch many fishing boats lazing around in the grey-blue water. Amenities are all great with added bonus of Roma's great sense of hospitality. If you have little ones, there are several toys and great range of story books as well. The only spot of trouble was the Wifi; not very dependable. But at a place place like this, it's indeed a crime to work! The most distressing part is to say goodbye to the place... will definitely make another visit... this time a bit longer.

  • Finnley’s View is so well located for exploring PEI’s eastern and northern shores. It is a welcoming home with everything travelers need to settle in comfortably and then enjoy the beauty of this special area. We cooked seafood every night with fresh local veggies and watched the sunset over the farmland next to the house, and coffee on the porch in the morning watching an eagle hunt over the river. A great place to be anytime!

It's certainly a place to inspire a child's imagination and easily spend hours of free entertainment!

  • This was a great place to stay. It was impeccably clean and had a great view.

    Kate2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Tide-Inn cottage was the most beautifully decorated, cozy little home we had during our travels around Nova Scotia and PEI. The cottage is brand new, absolutely clean and provides all the amenities you need, like a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and cozy beds with down quilts, where you will sleep like a bear. What makes this place special are the outstanding hosts, Trisha and Gary. We were warmly welcomed and Gary showed us around. They are always happy to help if you need something, even if it's just an instruction on how to operate a Canadian washing machine as a European :) . They even let us use their kayaks to go and explore the beautiful river right in front of the cottage, which was amazing. This is definitely a wonderful place to be and we would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a quiet place with lovely hosts. We hope to be back soon again :)

    Carla2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottages at Tides-In is a must-stay if you are travelling to PEI. Tucked away on the east side of the island, you have an incredible view of the river, of the stars at night, of the moon, and of a quaint lighthouse. There's a beach near by and the property has everything you need. Georgetown is just a 5 minute drive away, but don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to stay on the property and relax instead. Trisha and Gary are fantastic, friendly hosts who help make the experience magical.

    Tyler2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely clean and freshly decorated space. We enjoyed our few days and would return.

    Beth2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Trisha and Gary (TG) are awesome hosts. The cottage was pretty much brand new as they recently renovated the cabin. Super clean and comfortable. We were 2 couples who ended up with a last minute booking here after landing in Charlottetown and finding out that the original booking at another property nearby was without power due to hurricane Dorian. We contacted several places and TG were quick to answer our sos. There was coffee, tea, sugar, etc ready to use and refilled upon request. The beds were comfortable with heavy down quilts. We made use of the bbq a couple nights but ate out at the wheelhouse in nearby Georgetown. Lots of grocery options in Montague about a 15 minute drive including MacDonald Bakery a do not miss. Very close to the Brudenell/Dundarave golf courses. 30 minutes max from Charlottetown and 40 minutes to Souris.

    Dennis2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy with our stay here! We came with our young family and would definitely recommend this for family’s travelling with children. The location was convenient with smaller towns within 10 minutes and Charlottetown only about 40 minutes away. The cottage was very tastefully decorated and pristine. The access to the beach right on the property and a play area for kids was great! Trisha was an excellent host with quick responses and gave us lots of good suggestions. Thanks again and we hope to be back!

    Jennifer2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I really enjoyed our time at Tides-In Cottage. Not only was the cottage clean, cute and cozy but Trisha and Gary were amazing hosts. They are welcoming and quick to respond, they made sure we had firewood when we wanted to make a bonfire and even offered to show us how to dig for clams on the beach. If you are planning a visit to PEI, we highly recommend staying and Trisha and Gary's cottages.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and was amazingly clean. Lots of kitchen equipment, and towels. Make sure to take advantage of the fire pit and the screened-in room during the evenings! A big thanks to these hosts for an amazing PEI vacation.

  • Great spot on the Fortune River. We were a little off season as we were moving my son to the island - first week in May so docks were not in yet, but I would imagine this would be a perfect holiday spot in season. We enjoyed a quiet, tranquil stay. Mike, PM, was available whenever needed and went over and above getting us information we needed about local services and trades for the move. Cottage was cozy, stylish, clean and well equipped.

  • We stayed in Cottage 1 and loved the space! It was the perfect place to relax after a busy day of exploring all PEI has to offer! Fortune Bridge and Souris has friendly locals and the most beautiful views! It is a little off the beaten path which is perfect when you can relax by Fortune River. The Property Manager, Mike, was friendly, welcoming and a knowledgeable source of information regarding anything local! The Cottage was clean and comfortable offering all your basic necessities (bedding, towels, coffee maker, toaster etc). but went further with outdoor chairs, fire pit, clothesline, Netflix and more. I highly recommend this rental for your PEI stay!

  • My boyfriend and I were very pleasantly surprised with the cabin and our stay!! First, Paul was very friendly and helpful! He was willing to accommodate us on short notice and we are so grateful that he did! Paul brought us to the cabin and made sure we had everything we needed! Second, the cabin was clean and new with more amenities than we were anticipating, including a washer, dryer, dishwasher, nice tub, a fully equipped kitchen, fishing rods and an endless supply of firewood. The property was very private and absolutely silent at night. We enjoyed a fire each night and without any light pollution the stars were beautiful. The cabin also had a canoe and we will always remember our spectacular sunset paddles. The cabin was close to walking trails and the PEI National Park as well as some nice restaurants (ie Breakwater 21). We highly recommend a stay and look forward to returning! Thanks for everything Paul!! The perfect retreat we were looking for!

  • We love this place! The beds are comfortable, the space is clean, charming and totally updated. If you love to cook and bake then you’ll LOVE the kitchen which is fully stocked with every pot, pan and utensil you can think of! There aren’t a ton of restaurants in the area so cooking at home is a good way to go. It’s nestled in a woody area which affords a good amount of privacy and it’s minutes away from The beach. 5 of us were more than comfortable. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend her place!

  • First of all I just want to say how sweet your property was. The location is perfect! Pull out of your driveway and turn left for a 60 second drive to Basin Head or turn right for a 60 second drive to Red Point Provincial Park! From the minute we pulled in the driveway we had a wonderful and relaxed feeling. Such a great setting, all nestled in there the way it is. The fire pit in the front yard was really nice too and had a great time making s'mores with the kids. Your cottage is fantastic. You have done a great job decorating it mixing modern, with farmhouse and even a touch of glam! The bathroom is new, large and very beautiful! Love the soaker tub! The cottage is very well stocked with all the conveniences of home. Loads of dishes, pots, pans, cutlery etc. We were very impressed. The bedrooms are all sweet, nicely decorated and a good size. We also loved the fact that there is a screen in porch so you can still be outside in the evening. Hats off to your cleaner(s) and caretaker(s) as it was in great shape and extremely clean when we arrived. I would definitely rent this cottage again and highly recommend Red Barn Cottages to anyone looking rent in the Red Point area!

  • We had an amazing time staying at Beverley's place. The unit was great for the two of us, spacious and very clean. There's also a pretty spacious yard, staying here was really relaxing. Also just a couple minutes drive into St. Peter's Bay and close to Greenwich National Park. We would definitely go back again

  • This one bedroom home is great for a couple and located in a peaceful farmland setting. It was a nice home base for our golf trip and we loved the French press for coffee in the morning. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The pictures of the interior are accurate and a good representation of the space. Thank you Beverly!

  • What a special place. Beautiful river to kayak on for even us rookies. So peaceful. Cindy was so lovely, handy if we needed anything but gave us our privacy and easy to see all the extras amongst the cottage. She thought of everything. Handy to grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, etc. Thank you for the best family vacation !!!

  • Sawyer’s Retreat is nothing short of magical. It was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to PEI. Cindy and Marvyn were some of the best hosts we’ve experienced through Air B and B so far—so welcoming and accommodating, especially for our toddler. It was a great location for exploring the whole east side of the island. The cottage itself is super comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!

    Carlena2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our extended family lives in Montague so we normally stay close by at 1 of 2 lovely cottages. Neither were available for our dates but how fortunate we were to find this lovely cottage! If possible, we won’t go anywhere else! From the hospitality (the hosts live next door but are never intrusive) to the beach and kayaking/canoes (I have not been a seagoer but want to buy my own now that I’ve tried), to the coffee and condiments left, to the cell phone at the ready if you need a local one - this beautiful cottage has absolutely everything you could need or want for a wonderful vacation - or just a night away if you’re local (one of our local family wants to permanently stay!). Cannot wait to come back Cindy and Marvin! Hope you enjoy the painted rocks our daughter left for you and cannot thank you enough!

    Jenn2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Cindy and Marvin’s. They are wonderful hosts and the location was great. The kids loved seeing the red sand and the clams.

  • We had a lovely stay at Cindy and Marvyn’s cottage on PEI. A beautiful cottage and a beautiful property! We had everything we needed and it was fully set up for our kids, we didn’t need to bring anything. Cindy and Marvyn live right next door so they were available if we needed anything. PEI is so beautiful and this was a fantastic home base with a gorgeous of the Brudenell River. Thank you!

  • An immaculately clean apartment over the garage, with a wrap-around deck that must be wonderful in the milder months. There were 60kph northwesterlies when we stayed, and snow, with windchill of -20 (PEI winter; but beautiful in its own way). But the apartment was cozy, the layout very well thought out and all the amenities we could think of. The entrance was shovelled in the morning, and the driveway plowed. A wonderful place we will certainly come back to.

    Anthony2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for this wonderful stay. The decor and the size of the Airbnb was excellent. Everything we needed was there. My place is a mere 2 minute stroll down the lane to Sheep Pond Beach. Or drive 15 minutes to the world famous Basin Head Beach. Greenwich National Park is a great place to walk the trails and see the dunes or chose to bike the Confederation Trail. Golf courses are close by. Enjoy fine dining at Chef Michael Smiths Inn at Bay Fortune or buy your own seafood in St. Peters Bay and dine at home on the oceanview upper deck. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
Imagine yourself sitting on the veranda, sipping your morning coffee, listening to the waves crash in to shore. This breathtaking view and meticulously kept home could be your own slice of vacation paradise. 2 bedrooms on the main floor allow for an open concept kitchen living area on the 2nd floor, which leads out to a 10 x 24 veranda facing the water, where you can watch the Magdalene Island Ferry come and go, and even see the Cape Breton Highland on a clear day. Only a 2 minute walk to a beautiful white sandy beach. An additional 394 sq ft of patio allows for extra outdoor living. To top it all off... This home is equipped with a beach themed 'bunkie' for yourself or for guests. The bunkie has two large windows that provide you with water view the moment you wake up. The cottage is minutes from shops in the town of Souris and 15 minutes to the famous Basin Head Beach. The cottage is fully equipped and even has an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day spent playing in the sand! We have recently added two kayaks for you to enjoy!
Close to golf courses, biking trails, Basin Head and Greenwich Provincial parks. The cottage has ocean views and is steps from its own "private" beach.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Upon arrival we couldn’t believe the stunning views of the ocean as well as the cozy and warm interior of the charming beach home. One of the most charming elements is the bunky just off to the side of the house! The home and especially the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need for a beachside stay. The host was extremely helpful and provided fantastic recommendations for local gems to check out. We’ll definitely be back!

  • Thank you again Stephane & Jennifer for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We had such an amazing time and everything we needed plus more was there. “THE VIEW” out to the ocean was spectacular!! The warm breeze coming through the cottage windows during the day & nice and cool at night. The cottage was so cozy, comfortable and clean. The BUNKIE was so cute & comfortable perfect for my teens to have their own space. Thanks again for all your suggestions on day trips and things to do. Having 2 kayaks, bikes, games, bbq, fire pit and outdoor shower was just a bonus. We will definitely be back! Your communication was perfect and you were available if needed. • This is a lovely property just yards from the sea. Beautiful vista. The property was clean and very comfortable. The bedrooms are downstairs so don’t have to lug luggage upstairs. The kitchen was easy to use. Stephanie was always prompt to answer any inquiry. Souris is scenic and a bit rustic. The people are friendly. It’s quaint and sometimes amusing. We spent a couple days just driving along the coast. We found an exquisite wine bar at a fancy inn, lobster meals on the deck in Belfast, lighthouses and a great lobster broil at the Wheelhouse in Georgetown. This is a respite par excellence. Totally serene and peaceful. The cottage makes it easy to recharge your battery.

  • We are just home from a fabulous trip from Scotland to PEI and NS with our 2 year old daughter. We are so glad that we chose to stay at the cottage as it was perfect for us. It was cosy, clean and tidy and had everything that we needed. It was in a great location (not far from Souris), which was easy to get to, with lots of space outside for our daughter to run around in. Mike & Michaela were very quick to respond to any questions or queries we had. We would highly recommend staying here.

Welcome to Fairhaven! This gem of a cottage is nestled on a bluff just a short 3 minute walk to the "singing sands" of Sandy's Beach. Have your morning coffee while gazing out at the beautiful Northumberland Strait. Then spend your day soaking up the sun on a top ranked PEI beach. Cook a classic East Coast Lobster dinner and end the day roasting marshmallows on the open fire pit.
This lovely, bright and clean cottage is located on a tranquil and private property with an unobstructed ocean view. The white sand beach is magnificent, largely secluded and easily accessible. Additional amenities include an outdoor shower, BBQ, patio set, washer, kitchen fridge/freezer, range with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and griddle. Nearby (9K) you will find the town of Souris for groceries, the PEI liquor store, restaurants, the Magdalen Island ferry, pharmacy, hospital, etc. Also a short distance away is the famous Basin Head public beach, a 9 hole golf course, the Souris and East Point Lighthouses, Tuna and Deep Sea Fishing Expeditions, Kitchen Ceilidhs and incredible kayaking and biking opportunities! Time to both the PEI-NS Ferry and Charlottetown is approximately 70 minutes (83K); time to NB-PEI Confederation Bridge at Borden, PEI is 1 hr 49 minutes (145K) Fairhaven is indeed a little piece of heaven and is the perfect place for you to start your PEI vacation memory! Ranked as PEI's best beach, hidden gem, warmest water. https://www.canadiantraveller.com/6_Beaches_to_Discover_in_Prince_Edward_Island
Although this cottage property is located in a peaceful and private setting, it is also in a convenient and easily accessible location. Nearby are many other cottage, summer home and year round property residents. The beautiful beach is often a gathering spot for these friendly and helpful neighbours! Swimming, kayaking, beach volleyball and of course beachcombing are just a few activities enjoyed there!
  • The place is just as described. It was clean and peaceful. The walk to the beach (which we did every morning) was just a few minutes. Linda’s suggestions for where to visit were helpful. We’d definitely stay here again!

    David2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! This beautiful summer house is perfectly located for a beach vacation and for visiting around the Island. The beach is a real hidden gem and the neighborhood is very quiet. Linda was also very nice, with quick mail replies to our questions. We would go back anytime!

    Mélanie2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fairhaven was a great place for our family to stay. The cottage has lovely big windows, making it very bright, however the bedrooms had curtains with extra backing allowing us to sleep in past sunrise. You can open the windows and hear the ocean, and have a beautiful sea breeze throughout the cottage. It has a water view and a huge front lawn. It was great, (and safe), for our two children who love soccer and tag. There was also a fire pit on the front lawn which we made use of, there was wood to use and skewers for roasting marshmallows. The beach, which is a 3 minute walk from the cottage was a highlight. The sand really did sing and the water was warm. There were never many people on the beach, and it was fantastic for walking, swimming and building sandcastles. There is an outdoor shower at the cottage which was great for washing off after the beach. The cottage is only 9 km outside Souris. We really enjoyed popping into the town for groceries or wi-fi. Linda was great to communicate with, she answered all my questions and got back to me quickly. Upon arrival there was a package of activity books, markers and crayons for our kids and popsicles in the freezer. The welcome binder was very clear with instructions for the cottage and information about Souris and activities. The cottage had everything you would need and was very well organized with extra bedding, dish clothes, etc. Small things like an extra cooler (in shed), with ice packs in the freezer, as well as reusable water bottles, were available. The portable washer worked well. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

  • Shelleys and Fred are the perfect hosts! The cottage was sparkling clean and full of special touches. Shelley was very communicative - checking in and letting my daughter check in before us. The view is a wonderful backdrop for coffee in the morning. And let’s not forget the hot tub. This was the cleanest most well cared for hot tub I have ever been in. We will definitely be back!

This place is lovely, in a quiet area but convenient to everything you might need, and Shelley is a wonderful hostess. Always prompt to reply and willing to answer questions or make recommendations. The view is beautiful to wake up to in the morning, or enjoy from the hot tub. Loved staying at Rum Runners Rest!

  • Beautiful space, decorated nicely sitting with a beautiful view of Cardigan Bay. No expense was spared in completely renovating this house. We loved all the little details especially the reclaimed wood on the stair railings. Shelley has thought of everything and we can’t wait to come back!

    Dylan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was just perfect for a 3 night stay on PEI. I could easily have stayed longer! You can tell the house has been a labour of love for Shelley and Fred. Their place is spotlessly clean, with everything you could need. The amenities in the house meant you want for nothing and the beds were just so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. Shelley also kindly purchased a pack and play for our 2 year old which was very kind. The hot tub was a welcome addition too- we even used it in the rain. Shelley put together a selection of great day out suggestions including a bucket list of must-see places. Thanks again for a wonderful, memorable stay.

    Francesca2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived We where struck by ALL of the details and thoughtful touches. After many Airbnb stays we found The service Shelley provided to be far and away the best. The place was spotlessly clean, so comfortable that we had a hard time saying goodbye to our time here. The pictures do not do this place justice, you have to experience, the waterfront view, the countless little touches, and everything you could possibly need is here. The location was perfect for the day trips to National beaches and trails.

There was a minor problem with the water pressure that we told Karen about at dinner time, and she had a plumber over to fix it first thing in the morning - surprisingly fast response! We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was during one of the hottest weeks of the summer and I enjoyed the river and screened in porch while my husband appreciated the air conditioning. The cottage is minutes away from Souris and several beaches. Thank you Karen for a great vacation!

We were pleasantly surprised at how well-appointed this property was. Beautiful, modern ‘Maritime’ decor, comfortable furnishings, kitchen great for preparing the occasional meal and spotlessly clean. The screened veranda was a nice touch to enjoy sitting outdoors, bug-free and a special treat was the appearance of two cute foxes who trotted out of the woods to pose for us on the lawn. My wife and I highly recommend this property!

  • Great space, the cottage has everything we needed and was the perfect size for two people. We loved fortune river and enjoyed going for swims off the dock. Basin head beach is nearby and was absolutely beautiful. Souris is a small town but it had what we needed and we enjoyed exploring. Looking forward to coming back.

  • Karen and Darren couldn’t of been better hosts. What a lovely spot to spend a quiet few days and the paddle boards and kayaks were a real treat! Highly recommend!!

  • This place was above and beyond. From the location to the extra touches to the amazing host, would recommend this place to anyone. Sparkling clean, arrived to milk and juice in the fridge and fresh buns and jam. Amazing family spot, great beach across the street and a ton of extra thoughtful touches.

  • Beautiful house! Fantastic location on the beach in Georgetown with a kid's train play structure and a playground right outside the door! Amy is a fantastic host and there were so many special touches - First Aid kit, flashlights, chocolate and bread, jam, butter, milk and juice which made the first breakfast work so well! Even a booster seat for the baby which worked great with our portable cloth 'high chair'. And of course, fantastic sunsets right off the deck.

    Karen2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded all expectations! We travelled with 2 kids under 6 and a Grandma. The place was perfect. Lots of space for everyone. The location in town is definitely the best. Steps from a park, a beach a beautiful seaside seafood restaurant and a bakery around the corner. Laundry was a definite bonus. What more could a person ask for? The nicest community of people that’s what. And Amy provides so many extra special touches... bikes and helmets, fishing rod, shovel and bucket for clamming, extra beach towels, a bbq and lovely Adirondack chairs on the deck. The cottage was spotless. A resident from the next town with whom we spoke on the beach told us that in his opinion, we had found the best spot in the island ❤️

  • Sparkling clean!

    Amanda2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is extremely warm. The location is amazing with great sunsets. We highly recommend it for all the little touches and thoughts, which made our stay easier. We will not hesitate to go back! Thank you to our guests.

  • Amy was an incredible host! Communication before and during our trip was top notch! If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, beautiful home, look no further. We were surprised to find the kitchen stocked with some food staples (including a fresh loaf of bread from the local bakery, Maroon Pig. You MUST visit this bakery while you’re in Georgetown!) and a basket of toiletries in the bathroom. Amy has thought of it all in preparing her home for you! The location can’t be beat. The small beach across the street was perfect for daily beach-combing and the ideal spot for some of the most gorgeous sunsets in PEI! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly (nothing beats the kindness and hospitality of islanders!) and has some wonderful dining choices if you choose to stay close to Georgetown. I can’t say enough good things about this home. The only negative was when it was time to leave...we wish we could have spent more time there!

    Christina2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house in a great area of PEI. There’s a great beach across the street and the property is spacious for several people. The upstairs could use a few table fans in the summer months, but otherwise the kitchen had all the essentials and the bathroom and laundry were great to have. A pleasure to stay here. Highly recommend!

    Daniel2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very clean. It is in a great location, right on the water. Beautiful sunsets are to be had. Georgetown itself is a very cute town, quiet, but with a enough to do if you choose to take advantage of it. The host was communicative and accommodating.

Cute cottage on a large private lot near Basin Head Beach. Totally renovated. Features include screened-in dining room, new beds, outdoor shower, hardwood floors, deck, tv.
Rent the cottage by itself or for bigger groups there is a 3 bedroom home on the same property also for rent for larger groups or multiple families
  • Kelly’s cottage was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The cottage was quaint, clean, well set up and provided a perfect “home base” for exploring the island. We loved it.

    Kate2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very clean and we all loved it - it was also near some great beaches. Kelly was great with my questions from before I booked until I checked out - recommend this location and Kelly.

    Angila2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's cottage is very charming and equally so are the green surroundings. The cottage was clean upon arrival, check-in was easy, and the decor was simply perfect for a nice PEI vacation (wood and pops of colour inside)! Kids enjoyed running around the grassy and wooded surroundings and making fires. The cottage was comfortable for a family of 4. Kelly was very friendly and quick to respond. The nearby town of Souris (10 min.) had all of the amenities one family would need (food, liquor store, etc.) and our favourite beach - Basin Head - was literally a 3 min. drive away. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope that we may return soon.

Our sleeping cabins resemble lobster bait shacks similar to what you’ll see in PEI’s many fishing harbours. They were lovingly handcrafted using Island white Cedar. They are rustic but cozy, comfortable yet basic. Located in a village setting close to all amenities, the Confederation Trail and Iles de la Madeleine Ferry Terminal(CTMA). Souris beach is a 15 minute walk and other famous beaches are a close drive away.
Our cabins measure 12 x 12ft and include a double bed with duvet bedding, bath area with shower, mini fridge and two chairs. They are insulated, heated electrically and cooled only by an oscillating fan and two screened windows that allow the ocean breeze to flow through. A cathedral ceiling makes them feel airy and spacious. There is no TV. Wifi in common area. Storage is limited. No breakfast is served and cooking is not possible inside but there are options within walking distance.
Souris is a small but quaint fishing village by the Ocean. Route #2 passes through Souris as Main Street and continues East to East Point. The Souris Beach/Park is located at the beginning of the Town offering Seafood, shopping and paddle boards/bike rentals.
  • Awesome cabin! Very charming, clean and quiet; I had a fantastic night's sleep. I never met the hosts in person, but they were great at responding to my questions and very accommodating for my late arrival. I would definitely stay there again!

  • These tiny houses aren’t so tiny. They are everything you’d need and then some!!! Clean, comfortable, cozy, and surprisingly very roomy. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. They get a 10 out of 10 hands down!!!

    Danielle2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, quaint, whimsical!! Such a cute place! We were here In The fall but imagine this would be an incredible hub in the summer! Close to restaurants and a short drive from som amazing beaches!! If we are ever in the area again we will stay again!

    Shannon2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great little place! This unique experience provides a real beach cottage vibe. Don't be fooled by the small space, it's very functional and comfortable!

    Sophia2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, with character plus! We will be back. Thanks again.

  • Kim was so friendly! Gave a great recommendations for a scenic walk and oysters. The Shanty was exactly what we were looking for! Would definitely stay here again.

    Taylor2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous little cabins with working hot shower and bathroom. Basic and sweet, and walking distance from Souris marina and 21 breakwater restaurant (reservation recommended). So clean that there was not a single spider to be seen, which I definitely appreciated! :) One thing I will note, is that the bed was harder than I am used to; but we still slept great- the cabins stay nice and dark which even allowed us to sleep in! Another cool thing- there is a partition door that slides out to separate the bathroom/shower area; so if you're staying with a buddy you can still have some privacy.

    Aimee2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up not being able to stay at Kim's place for the one night we had booked due to the hurricane that was coming in (we had to board our ferry earlier). But we drove in front on the place and it looked lovely!! Kim was responsive and very nice! Will definitely stay there on future crossings to the islands! :)

Private cottage located on the beautiful Souris River. Canoeing, fishing and sightseeing are all close at hand. Close to white sand beaches, the "Rails to Trials" trail, fantastic restaurants, CTMA ferry and shopping. Very private area. Adjacent to rental cottage 120 Cahill Lane
The cottage has washer and dryer, dishwasher, and all the linens and crockery you will need for your stay. A screened in covered porch will allow for for outdoor enjoyment regardless of conditions.
  • Beautiful wonderful cabin right on Souris River with a canoe. The yard is really big you could easily set up a badminton or another outdoor game there was also a fire pit which was great and we enjoyed that. The inside of the cabin is beautiful it looks brand new bedroom and was very comfortable. There’s a big sofa that was really comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was very convenient. The open floor plan is great no matter where you are you don’t miss anything because you can see all around the inside yet the bedrooms are private and quiet for private time. There are lots of games including video game system. The two porches were great. The view of the river was beautiful. Sitting outside having coffee on the porch in the morning was so relaxing. In the evening if there were some mosquitoes we just went into the screened in porch to sit. This cottage Is really private out in a beautiful area yet so close to downtown aSouris and the beach such a great location. Make sure you go to the shack down at Souris Beach and get a delicious lobster roll. All in all just fantastic and we hope to return soon.

  • Great spot! Beautiful, serene setting, well thought out amenities, clean and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more!

    Nicole2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet location just outside of Souris, this cottage/home had everything we needed for our buddies golf getaway. Well equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals (including BBQ). The screened in porch was a welcome touch as we could sit outside and not worry about bugs. Having laundry on-site is an added benefit as we could dry items that became wet during a round of golf.

    Jean-Claude2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We met both Paul and Chris, they were very helpful and always available if we had any questions. The place was quiet, very comfortable, and just a perfect place to relax. Serene and tranquil, seriously! Nice water view, canoe ride was great, will be much better when they get the dock in. Saw a bald eagle from the deck! Not too far for day trips to Anne of Green Gables sites, and local beach (Basin Head) and lighthouse (go up in it! 6) are must visits!

  • Great experience and really fun! Ben was a great host and quick to respond. Highly recommend it!

    Derek2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's treehouse is at once everything you're hoping it is and more. It washed over us gradually as we spent our first night, and first morning, there. The place is special! Everything you need is right at your fingertips, all the comforts of home, yet at the same time it feels like you're occupying your own little spot at the end of the earth. Ben is nearby and always willing to help out, though your privacy never feels even remotely compromised. All of the optional activities he has made available to you will doubtlessly encourage a little bit of adventure -- most people have ridden a bike or paddled a kayak before (Ben provides both) but how many of us landlubbers have dug for clams? I hadn't, anyway, and now I can say that I have. And it was a good time! Plugging those lights in on the deck as the sun goes down (most spectacular sunset you can imagine, it occurs right in front of you and reflects off of the water and the sand) and firing up the barbeque was a gorgeous, one of a kind experience. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and honestly nothing was missing! Everytime we wondered out loud if he'd thought of something, he had. I will say that going into the experience we were a bit wary of the price, and the fact that we had to spend two days minimum there. Now that we're on the other side of the experience, all I can say is that it was worth every penny and I'm so glad we had the second day to relax and take it all in.

    Adam2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • After camping in national parks for most of our trip ,the seaside tree tent was a splurge and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We had a lot of fun digging for clams and having a fire on the beach. The views at this place are amazing and the outdoor shower is very cool. Highly recommend this place, we hope to come back in the future!!

    Chelsea2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the tree tent for two nights and we were absolutely blown away. This spot is a true hidden gem & we’re so happy to have stumbled upon it. The views were outstanding and just what our souls needed. Pick up some beer, wine, snacks & food to bbq & you will be good to go!

    Laura2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is perfect! The outdoor shower gave it a special touch, but nothing beats the view! We will definitely recommend this place!

  • Beautiful location, wonderful wall 🏕 tent / 🌲 tree house! Great site location of tent platform w/ respect to cabin and other lots. Very private. Local guide very helpful. Kayaking to oyster beds was a highlight and delicious appetizer!! Felt like part of the tidal ebb and flow. Part of nature!
