If you want to have a taste of what Airbnb is all about, this place and his incredibly charismatic host is the place to go. Located in a multi-million dollar flat with outstanding views of Port Phillips Bay and all the ammenities easily accessible, you can't go wrong with this place. Alan goes above and beyond any 'good host', he cooked a magnificent pasta for me upon arrival, gave me lift to a restaurant and to the groceries without hesitation and taught me great things about Melbourne, cooking and life in general. I will always remember my week spent at his beautiful flat. Highly recommended.

Our stay in Alan's apartment was much more than we expected. His local knowledge and great sense of humour combined to make our stay very enjoyable. Alan opened his home to us and was a very gracious and generous host. The location is great and makes getting around easy with a tram stop virtually across the road. It was a great pleasure to stay at Alan! The room was big, including balcony. Every morning I could watch the sunrise. Two bathrooms including the possibility to use the washing machine - all good and practical! The location in St Kilda is very nice, directly at the sea front. Public transport just in front of the apartment. Be aware of the special Myki card, which you need if travelling the tram (can be bought at nearby stores). Also possible to use the blue bicycles, which can be rented for only 3AUD a day, up to 30min per ride. It's really easy to cycle as it is mostly flat. The Albert Park is nearby, Melboure CBD (city centre) is about 25m by tram. Or you cycle. Alan is a wonderful host! Likes to share great stories and travel tips. Spend a couple of evenings in his lounge, talking about a great variety of subjects! Coming from the airport, it is easy to get to Alan's place by Skybus. Just get a ticket at the information desk at the airport (saves you cueing at the Skybus booth itself!). It takes 30-45 min and drops you off at Novotel hotel, only about 300 meters from Alan's apartment building.

My daghter stayed at Alan's place and she told me he was a great host. Her room was clean, with lots of natural light and very close to the beach. She liked so much she extended her stay. Thank you Alan.

If you don't want to stay in the city centre of Melbourne and if like to be next to the beach this accommodation is perfect. I enjoyed leaving the busy city centre in the evenings and enjoying the less busier streets of st kilda. There are shops, restaurants etc in walking distance and of course the pier to see the penguins. And of course catia's lovely dog!!!

Adorable little apartment right on St Kilda beach. Barely a minute away from a tram stop, Luna park, many restaurants/bars, and within easy, safe walking distance of Chapel street. Catia was very accommodating of our early check in/departure, and we had plenty of space to relax and do our own thing. Would thoroughly recommend.

The apartment is in the perfect location, so close to trams to get anywhere in Melbourne and Acland St is a stone's throw away. Catia is very friendly, amazing with communication and helpful whenever we needed it. Frankie the dog is gorgeous and we had an excellent time overall!

Very accessible to everything and there is a penguin sanctuary nearby at St kilda pier as well, Catia is very helpful host plus her dog is very friendly. Her place is easy to find and there is a Sunday market just opposite of her place.

It was our first family holiday in Melbourne and the highlight of the holiday is our apartment - it's like the heart of Melbourne cos it is so easy to get around via car or even the public transport especially the tram. With a 4 month old baby along, it is easy to get from one place to another and convenience shops are nearby. Apartment is clean and gives us a cosy and homely vibe - just what you see in the photos. Host is very welcoming and allow to adjust on the environment with no hassles. Will definitely come back for this apartment again when we are back in melbourne :)

This appartment is wonderful. It has everything you need for some amazing days in Melbourne. It is near the beach, near acland st. and near everthing you need. Our host, Ross, was very helpful and give us two miky-cards to drive by tram into the city. The beach is an amazing place, and it takes just 3 minutes. The alternative to the beach is the amazing indoor pool next to appartment, which is invlusive!!! Thanks Ross! We hope to come back somedays ;)

This is a great place to rent if you are visiting St Kilda. The location is perfect and the apartment comes with an awesome gym, steam room, pool which looks straight out over the sea! If you are there on a Sunday then the Sunday market is straight out in front of the building which is pretty special. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is such a fantastic place to stay to absorb all St Kilda has to offer as well as the rest of Melbourne. Seri is super to communicate with and you will be really comfortable in the apartment. I had a wonderful stay and would book again in a heartbeat.

This apartment is wonderful one nerar the beach. It is excellent to walk along the beach in the morning and enjoy the scenery! Good location. The rooms are very cleaning and comfortable. Many good details can be found here. E.g. You even do not worry about cold weather here and the heating blankets are provided on each bed. Sufficient kitchen items and bathing items are put tidily. The living room and the small balcony are both nice and makes us feel at home! Seri is really a good landlord, as he even provides data lines, transportation cards for the tenants. Books are also provided! Once there is a problem with hot water, Seri is quite active to help us solve it. He is really kind! Just choose it if you want to have a memorable trip in Melbourne, and it must amaze you

We had a wonderful stay at Seri's place. The location was fantastic- lots of eateries, luna park, the beach and public transport close by. Great having parking on premises and I love when check-in and check-out procedures are seamless, as was this one. There was only two of us but this would be perfect for two couples as well. We'll definitely be back!

The flat was exactly as listed, clean and cozy, the location is awesome you can walk everywhere and don't need to drive. The beach is just on the other side of the road where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. We loved staying here. We had a great time at Seri's place. He was really kind and helpful with some questions we had. The place is nicely decorated and well located, just a few minutes to the beach. Is great for family and business trips. Seri had also considered lending the public transport cards from Victoria which we didn't use in the end, but it was a nice gesture. We also followed his recommendations about restaurants and we ended up pleased. The only thing we experienced is that one of the neighbours put music really loud until passed 11pm. But was only one night though.

Four of us (2 adults & 2 teenagers) stayed seven nights in this beautifully decorated, clean, modern two bedroom apartment at St Kilda. Our stay was very comfortable in this quiet building. The location was perfect, its so close to the beach, tram stop, Luna Park, shops and restaurants in Acland Street and Fitzroy Street (you only need your feet to get there). It was very convenient having a car space in the underground parking. Our host Hayley was wonderful, very friendly and more than happy to assist with providing local information. Everything we needed in the apartment was there, eg. laundry powder, towels, toilet rolls, BBQ on the balcony, electric juicer etc. A complimentary fruit platter, bottle of wine and chocolate was given to us, along with some other supplies in the fridge, which was much appreciated. As far as we were concerned Hayley went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel at home in her apartment. We recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a modern, very comfortable beachside home away from home. We thank Hayley for her attention to detail and providing a true description of the apartment on the Airbnb site. We regard our first Airbnb stay as successful, as all our needs were met and surpassed with this property. We would definitely return to this apartment on our next visit to Melbourne. Great spot just out of the hustle and bustle of St Kilda to be quiet but a stones throw to get to it. Very roomy one bedroom with loads of nice extra touches for guests. Only issue was the unreliable wifi but overall a great place

Very good place to stay and discover Melbourne ! Saint Kilda is a very good spot to enjoy beach and shopping :) The Tramway go directly to the center City in 15 min. The bed is very confortable and for food shopping yuo have the coles directly accessible by walking :) We have rent a car and finally you can avoid renting a car because you have everything in this place without needing a car :) Thanks you Shirley

Shirley was extremely responsive and informative, I never met her as it was an apartment but felt like I could have contacted her about anything. The only problem with the apartment, which was clean, comfortable and attractive was the wifi, which was so slow as to be unusable.

Lovely little apartment in a great location!

We had a brilliant stay in St Kilda. The apartment has a lovely traditional Art Deco style and is in a great location, close to the beach, bars & restaurants. We enjoyed having coffee on the balcony in the morning & watching the amazing sunsets on the beach in the evening.

Kristyna was very easy to communicate with and gave easy to follow directions for getting into the flat, she also gave us some good tips on things to do in St Kilda with children. Kristyna made us feel very comfortable and relaxed about having a small child in the apartment. She gave us information about the apartment which made our stay easier. Tuesday was also very helpful and checked in with us in a discreet but friendly way to make sure we were comfortable.

Stunning heritage building that is just gorgeous.... everything is needed to have a comfortable, cozy stay in a homey house. Great location to Acland st for tapas, bakeries and everything else! St. Kilda beach is across the st. I can't say enough good things... .this is a fabulous place to stay!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in the well positioned apartment in st Kilda. Literally opposite Luna park, short walk to the main street and beach, or tram stop to go further a field. The flat was comfortable, well presented and very secure. The area is culturally diverse and lots of fun, with some great cafe's and restaurants close by in either direction. Our kids are 4 & 5 so as well as the main attractions locally and in the CBD we took them to the local adventure playground which was a short stroll from the apartment which was hassle free and the staff there were very friendly. Highly recommend a visit for those with young kids. All round a great weekend adventure was had by the family.

This was our second stay with Helen and Michael but in a different apartment. Again they did not disappoint as they were attentive to all our requests. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and in a great location. Being in St. Kilda you are never short of anything to do or eat! Everything is right there. The view from the balcony is just beautiful- a little bit of beach mixed with city lights and the iconic Luna park. If you want location, appearance, comfort accompanied with great hosts, then this is the place to be.

St Kilda is a nice place to stay, not far away from city but still having a holiday feel. The apartment is clean, the room is quiet, the bed is comfortable and most importantly the host is super friendly and full of humor.

Fantastic location. Older property thats kept quite clean and friendly. Alan does his best to make sure you're looked after and your stay is comfortable and pleasant. We stayed at Mandalay for one month. It is tastefully decorated and had a comfy couch! It is in a great location, with very easy access to the Trams which are right outside your door, it couldn’t get much easier. We had a few settling in issues and it was during our stay it became evident the apartment was a little tired and with a few small changes this would have made a big difference and been a far more enjoyable stay. Robyn was a good host and was always quick to respond to our questions and requests.

A lovely stay, Robyn made us feel very welcome. The unit was much more spacious than expected, very comfortable, a lot of thought has gone into making sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home.

Robyn's apartment is simply the perfect basecamp from which to visit Melbourne, Australia. I was able to visit my business colleagues knowing my youngest daughter was perfectly happy and safe in her 'home from home'. St Kilda is a great place to be based, right by the beach, restaurants etc but just a tram ride away from the city. The wine areas were just an hour away...happy days! When we return, I will not seek to stay anywhere else...why would I?

The apartment is in a great location, a walk away from the pubs restaurants of St Kilda and just next to the tram stop which takes you direct to Melbourne CBD. The apartment was left spotless with clean crisp linen plus as a nice surprise some essentials were left ie shampoo milk, bread and biscuits, the directions and instructions of how to find the apartment and gain access was very clear, we had a really nice stay

Easy, flexible and friendly hosts. Clean convenient accommodation. No problems during the stay and unit is fully self contained equipped with a dryer, very useful for wet and cold Melbourne winters. Only downside is the shower over the bath. Great hot water but very hard to climb into the shower. Might not suit older or less mobile people.

This unit is located on the ground floor in the of a low-rise apartment building next to the car park. It's very dated, the window is cracked, and it is next to the communal laundry area. There is no view, except of the car park. The unit is tidy but it is VERY small. The furniture is dated and very basic. There is no parking, unless you pay the owners an extra $7 per day; otherwise, you must find street parking which is difficult in St. Kilda without a permit. The neighbours love to party and I was kept up at night listening to loud music and yelling/cursing from the rooftop garden. The neighbours also smoke outside on the stairwell right outside the unit. The unit next door is also very close and the residents left their barking dog outside until after midnight. Anna and Tina were very kind and did their best to resolve the noise issues. But for this much money, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
