  • Jacy is a wonderful host and the property is lovely, and cozy, nestled in a quiet rural, wooded setting. The rental is very clean, and well appointed with every amenity you might need. Jacy is very responsive to messages and helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. I recommend this listing without reservation and hope to return someday.

    Emily2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jacy's loft is the perfect retreat when you're traveling in this area. There is plenty of space, the beds are comfortable, and the lake is beautiful! Jacy was so thoughtful and stocked the loft with so many necessities that we didn't have to buy anything when we were there. It was very helpful!

    Nicole2019-07-23T00:00:00Z

Come stay in a charming barn renovated with an artistic contemporary touch in the amazing Catskills! The barn sits on a 5 acres parcel of beautiful land, and is close to the village of Callicoon and the Delaware River. The downstairs of the barn is currently available for vacation rental through out the year for up to 6 people (we might be able to accept up to 8 guests in a case by case basis). *The residential space was just renovated (03/2019) and we are working better pics to upload soon!
Our space a charming renovated barn venue in the Western Catskills set in five acres of gently sloped fields, woods, and ancient stonewalls that has been restyled with a playful and young contemporary style, making it the perfect countryside destination. The barn is conveniently located close to the Handsome Hollow Barn Event Space and the French Woods camp. The 1,400 square feet area of the lower level of the barn, originally housing the farm stables, was renovated with an open concept design and rustic-contemporary touch. Preserving some of the original building's details, this downstairs of the barn was reinvented as a loft-like living space, which includes a spacious newly updated kitchen, full design bathroom, two guest bedrooms in addition to a large bedroom study-room hybrid, which in conjunction with the living room area, sleeps up to 8 guests. The upper level, originally used to store bales of hay, has been tastefully redesigned as a 2,000 square feet open space with ample 30 feet high ceilings that can seat up to 65 guests during special events. The upstairs has a large bathroom (the other bathroom is located downstairs), a dedicated lighting system setup for a variety of party lights, a Bluetooth capable sound-system with speakers, oversize 12' x 14' contemporary glass paneled full-view door with remote control and plenty of windows for natural light. The extensive lawn adjacent to the barn can accommodate an additional number of guests for outside sitting or using tenting. It also offers the option of having separate areas for cocktails, dinner and dancing throughout the property. This unique venue makes it the perfect setting for your your upstate vacations as well as for your wedding, micro-wedding, rehearsal dinner, company retreat, farewell brunch, farm-to-table dinner, photo/film shoot, art event and more.
Located 2 miles north of Long Eddy, NY, were you can have close access to the Delaware River the place is also only minutes from Callicoon, where you will find restaurants, antique shops, a movie theater, community center. Very close to 'Handsome Hollow' event space. Also the village of Hancock is a close drive away. Another area favorite, Roscoe is about 20 miles away from the property. The beautiful river nearby allows for swimming, tubing, kayaking and some of the best trout fishing in the country. Nearby you can also find State Parks. For runners and cyclists, opportunities are incredible also. The barn is located only 2.5 hours from New York City. It’s a great chance of experiencing the incredible natural beauty of the Catskill Mountains.
  • The barn is lovely. Very spacious and comfortable, great for a family, and the area is beautiful. Wished we could have stayed longer.

    Jennie2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Everything went great! From the moment we arrive Guillermo was super helpful and Very responsive. We also rented out the upstairs for the rehearsal dinner and it was better than I could’ve ever imagined it. We loved the location and the stylish house. Would definitely recommend!! We did not want to b leave!

    Stephanie2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This barn is beautiful! The space is very clean and it is stylishly decorated, but still comfortable and welcoming. Guillermo was super helpful and provides a detailed guidebook that explains many things around the barn and gives suggestions for the surrounding area as well. We would absolutely stay at the barn again -- and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to enjoy in the Catskills!

    Jamie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We rented the Hayloft for 4 days during our daughters wedding at Handsome Hollow It was quite close to HH and also Callicoon which is a very sweet little town The HL. was very clean, well appointed and just a lovely open concept relaxing place to stay Guillermo could not have been a better host This is a very special place to “unplug”

    Kathryn2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, stylish home in a beautiful town— Highly recommend Guillermo’s place!! 👍🏼👍🏼

    Scott2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable and spacious space. We stayed in late September during cloudy days and we weren’t too hot or too cold. The renovation is nicely done and the decor is pleasant and simple. We wish we had had more time to try the fire pit and explore a bit more of the property. This worked out great for us and our needs. So much nicer than the motels and hotels in the area.

    Alana And Tim2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful, comfortable, clean and a great location if you are looking to get away but close to town of Callicoon. The grounds are big and fun to explore. Close to lots of fun Upstate stuff, Skinners Falls, town pool for kids, lots of Frisbee on the big lawn at the barn. Guillermo was a great host, easy to communicate with and got back to you right away. We stayed with our two kids. Would love to stay there again!

    Nola2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an incredible time staying at the beautiful updated Barn. The place was so spacious and immaculate, and the 5 acres of surrounding green nature made our stay feel so special. We enjoyed so many outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and our canoe ride down the Delaware River was so serene and wonderful. The restaurants in lower and upper Main Street in Callicoon were great. After exploring the area, we looked so forward to coming back to the beautiful Barn and the 5 acres. Guillermo was such an amazing host, and just a pone call away if needed. We will definitely be back again for another vacation!

Tucked far away from the city, this cabin is a rustic escape from anything hectic. Build a fire, wake up to birds chirping, float on the river, take a hike, write a book, thank us in your dedication. This place has everything you need to leave the city and get back to simple pleasures like spotting deer, roasting marshmallows and yelling at porcupines.
The cabin is a cute little space, cozy and clean, but still down to earth with a camp feel. It’s great for a few days of quiet, some sun bathing, fishing, relaxing. The grounds are rustic. There is wildlife in the form of wild turkeys, white tail deer, trout, and that awful porcupine (he only visits late at night to chew on wood.) The spot is about a 10 minute drive from the lovely town of Roscoe. Roscoe has a brewery, a distillery and lots of great fishing spots. The Orvis store has free fishing lessons every weekend! It’s a 5 minute drive to the Red Rose Motel, a great spot for weekend cocktails and food.
The neighborhood is all weekend houses that are seldom in use. You will rarely see a neighbor. Roscoe is a cute town with lots of fishing and a great brewery.

The Lakewood Lodge and Restaurant is a historic country inn in the northern Poconos. We offer a mix of rooms, all with private baths, some with private entrances that are pet friendly. We have affiliated offsite, lake front cottages (listed separately). Able to accommodate overnight guest groups from 2 to 45, we are a great destination for reuniting friends and families, nightly and extended stay business lodging, weddings, birthdays and other celebrations/reunions.
The Lakewood Lodge and Restaurant unique in that it sits in between the Scenic Upper Delaware River Recreation Area and Elk Mountain Ski Resort, and we sit directly on the area Rails-to-Trails system, used for hiking, biking, snowmobiling and ATV Riding. Our current room inventory includes three rooms with private entrances and baths on the first floor that are pet friendly (dogs only with pre-approval). Five more rooms are inside the Lodge, accessed from the Lobby. We are uniquely situated in the center of many outdoor recreational opportunities, with services hosted/provided by us or local service providers that we work with to provide guests with a wide selection of activities: hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, ATV and snowmobile riding (onside trailer parking provided), downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, lake and river fishing, ice fishing. We are the last, surviving Inn that was built to support the O&W Railroad, which ran from the 1890's to 1957, ended by the end of the era of anthracite coal mining in the Wyoming and Lackawanna valleys. Now the rails are gone and the old railroad bed is a Rails-to-Trails System. We sit directly across from the Lakewood Station, which stands and is a monument to the railroad station architecture of its 1900 construction.
Lakewood is a small rural community surrounded by several lakes and has a Rails-to-Trails recreational trail passing through it. The Lakewood Lodge and Restaurant was originally built to serve customers and merchants utilizing the O&W Railroad beginning in the late 1800's. The primary cargo was anthracite coal from the Lackawanna and Wyoming valleys. The decline of coal led to the closure of the railroad in the late 1950's. Now the railroad is part of the Rails-to-Trails system that offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities: hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling and ATV riding. Our location is easily commutable to the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River to the east, and the Elk Mountain Ski Resort to the west. Our two lakefront cottages (listed separately), are just 3 miles to the west of the Lodge.
  • Jim was very friendly and attentive host. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. Room was clean! It was in reasonable price as well! If anyone wants to spend a night to go skiing in Elk Mountain which is in 20 min drive, I highly recommend this place!

    Edward2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a ski trip or just a chance to get away to the mountains. The lodge has everything you need, food was great and Jim and the team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Felt like home away from home.

Our rustic cabin is set far off a very seldom travelled mountain road. Nestled in the woods, you will find total peace and relaxation here. The cabin comes with a wood stove, a full vintage gas stove, outdoor shower and a outhouse. You will be the only campers up there, with only fireflies and the Luna Moths as neighbors. The area has great swimming holes, canoeing/kayaking, hiking. The cabin was built by us, with lumber from the land and only hand tools -- we hope you love it as much we do.
Our rustic cabin is set up for comfort, contemplation, tranquility and relaxation. There is a wood burning stove in the cabin and firewood is provided with all rentals. Also there is fire pit outside for campfires. There is a working vintage Master Chef gas stove. Running water for cleaning dishes. The water is from a spring & rain water gravity fed system. So it is good for the sink and the outdoor shower in the woods- but not for drinking. Hancock and Walton are close by. Bring your fishing pole, world class fishing is a short drive to the Beaverkill or the West Branch! There is a double bed in the loft for sleeping and a mid-century daybed for either afternoon naps or a second bed. A wonderful handmade farm table for dinning or writing your next masterpiece. It could also be a great drawing table. An outhouse is available as the primary bathroom for guests, as well as an outdoor shower. The cabin is off the grid and Internet free! You can only reach this hidden away place by a 4x4 vehicle or by hiking in. This is really getting away from it all. If you are looking for a magical, relaxing and rustic experience the cabin is for you.
There is world class fly fishing only minutes away. If continue hiking on the trail you will an old abandoned cabin community.
  • Great place to unplug in the outdoors!

    Julia2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay here at the cabin! All you need to bring is a couple blankets, ice for the cooler, and a lighter, and your set. Everything else you need, or didn’t know you need, is there for you. No better way to turn off the outside world and indulge in yourself. My dog and I spent our time cooking, stoking the fire, reading, hiking up to quarry, jogging from the cabin, and we even took a quick trip to Roscoe and Trout/Mud Pond (recommended by Mike). Mike was incredibly kind and helpful, truly the perfect host. By far one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had.

    Noelle2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a unique and special spot. Read the description and reviews and you won't be disappointed. This is a great place to really disconnect. And it was a perfect "home base" for a weekend of fly fishing in the area. Mike really went out of his way to get me settled and well prepped for the stay. I hope to come back!

    Bruce2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent spot to escape from it all. If you’re looking for a true off the grid experience in the middle of no where, then this is the place for you.

    Matthew2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin!! Exactly as described. It was perfect for my solo retreat!

    Jean-François2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to disconnect and escape to the woods, this is the place to go. The one-room cabin has no electricity and no cell service, which is exactly what we were looking for. The accommodations are simple and charming - an awesome vintage propane stove from the 40’s, old-fashioned oil lamps, and the isolation of it all completely takes you back in time. This is a true off-grid experience! I would definitely ensure you have enough provisions when you head up, and possibly something to like a board game, etc. It’s an awesomely isolated place, comparable to very fancy camping. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try an alternative experience!

1 Bedroom apartment with a kitchen and bathroom with a shower. Hard wood floors, private entrance in the heart of Hancock village near all camps in Equinunk, PA. Walking distance to where the East and West branch of the Delaware river form the main branch.
Set in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood at the top of a hill. Off the main drag but walking distance to all stores and restaurants in the village.
The neighborhood is great as everybody knows each other. It is a quiet neighborhood as there is no business and no reason to pass through unless visiting or living in it.
  • A nice, clean apartment with great wood floors, on a quiet residential street with a grill and fire pit. Shane's dog Blue is such a sweetheart. A great place to stay while you are in Hancock!

    Terri2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old house full of character. It’s very clean with modern bathroom appliances and gorgeous renovated hardwood floors in living room and bedroom. Bedding and towels were new. House stocked with essentials and very thoughtfully prepared for our stay. Shane was very quick to respond and gave us great suggestions for our evening. The only regret was that bedroom windows didn’t open to enjoy fresh night air, so we slept with air conditioning.

  • Before even getting to the house Diana contacted me checking in on if we had made it yet to the house and if we had any questions or concerns. We mainly booked the house because of the location, but once arriving to house we found that the house it self is fantastic! Everything is just like it’s displayed. We had a great time!

    Wendy2019-05-27T00:00:00Z

  • Another boys weekend in the books at this impressive riverfront cabin. Perfect if you’re looking for fishing or just a quiet weekend to get out of the city. This is our second time staying here and Diana is truly an amazing and responsive host. We plan on returning.

    Alexander2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is the ultimate river front cabin for either fishing or relaxation getaway. There are two main reasons why I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking a getaway in the Catskills. The first is the cabin. The cabin was spotless and sported a modern kitchen with everything you’d ever need, a spacious living room with a scenic view of the river, and a massive back deck with a grill, hammocks, and plenty of chairs. Down by the river is a fire pit with a few complementary logs ready to be fired up. The beds were decorative, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was fully stocked with more than enough towels. Finally the washer and drier came in handy when a few of the guys took a spill in the river! The second reason why I highly recommend this cabin is the host, Diana. From the get go, weeks before our arrival, she took the time to speak to me on the phone about our trip to answer a few questions I had about the area. Moreover while we were at the cabin she pointed us in the direction of a few fishing spots that proved to be more fruitful than the advice given to us by some of the local fly shops. She was an incredibly responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond at helping us make this fly fishing trip memorable. The guys and I are already planning our trip for next year. Thanks again for everything! -Alex

  • Lots of value here. Worth waking up early and drinking coffee outside as the property is beautiful. Go across the street to really take it all in. Bobbie was super easy to communicate with and went above and beyond with thoughtful touches around the space. The space is better than the pictures. Perfect upstate New York vibe.

    Rashaad2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Bobbie's place about a year out as soon as I knew I was working at a wedding at a venue down the road. It was exactly what I wanted--very relaxing, spacious yet cozy, and filled with all of the amenities you could need. Bobbie was warm and welcoming, offering us suggestions of where to eat and showing us her immaculately restored home (a former church!). We had perfect Fall weather, but I'm sure The Grange would be lovely during the summer too! We'd definitely return if we find ourselves back in the area!

  • An enthusiastic 5 stars! Oozing with charm and full of delightful little touches, from the books on the shelves to thoughtful toiletries to the cozy linen. Waking up to utter quiet in a sun-filled room was the best. Bobbie was a fantastic host. We will be back!

    Nyneve2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • As always, Bobbie's place was spotless, warm, welcoming and just what we needed after a long day of hard work. And a great night's sleep too- think only 1 car drove by!! We love this peaceful spot and will forever be returning. Thank you Bobbie!

The Basket Brook Farmhouse, rescued and restored home built in 1850 is newly finished in light hardwoods with a white interior. It is light and airy against a rich, green backdrop of views from windows surrounding each room. The scenes are of the lush grounds and wooded hills of the Catskills, all situated on Basket Brook of Rock Valley. Surrounding brooks, streams and creeks are tributaries to the Delaware River, located only a short distance further down the valley.
Basket Brook Farmhouse is located in the Delaware River Valley, a mere 2-hour drive from NYC. Our nearest 'town' is Long Eddy with Callicoon being only a few miles away. We are a great location for attending the Bethel Woods concerts (URL HIDDEN)
Long Eddy and Rock Valley are sparsely populated. Many of those who are here are 'weekenders' looking for peace, quiet and privacy, but with access to nature, culture, music and art, which can all be found in Callicoon, Bethel Woods, Liberty, Livingston Manor and Roscoe.
  • Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Craig offered coffee, eggs, milk, and OJ which was a nice touch. Awesome local tips and quick responses to any questions. Comfy bed and big bathroom. Beautiful part of the world - would return anytime!

    Reggie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a perfect stay at Craig’s. Everything we needed was there and the place is so cozy! We would definitely come back.

    Gary2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house and outdoor space, unique, and quiet. Our stay was incredibly relaxing from a bubble bath in the claw food tub to cooking dinner and enjoying it on the patio. The tips for local eateries and entertainment were very helpful and we really enjoyed the places on the list we went. The farmhouse was easy to get to and Craig and his team offered clear communication all weekend. The breakfast foods they provided were a perfect bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

    Summer2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! They responded very quickly with any questions or for check in!

    Stephanie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely two-story farmhouse located across County Route 28 from Basket Brook. The house was very clean and was perfect for a quiet three-day weekend. Cute towns (e.g., Calicoon, Roscoe) and great local breweries and restaurants are within a 30-min drive, but when you return for the night, you'll hear one car drive by per hour and... that's it. Delightful stay!

    Ross2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend staying at Craig’s place in Long Eddy. We went to attend a wedding down the road at Handsome Hollow, which was nice and easy. The house is better than in the pictures and has everything you might need for a few nights away. Craig offered coffee, eggs, milk, and OJ which was a lovely touch. Comfy bed and big bathroom. Grounds are lovely. Just as an FYI there is VERY limited cell service in this whole area, so if you plan to use something like google maps, download the map prior. The house has internet provided, which we did not experience any issues with. Maybe a little slow but overall worked quite well. Would definitely recommend this place for a trip away!

  • Great house, some of the best hosts I’ve ever had on this app. They were helpful and very responsive. The backyard is beautiful, the house is in a very nice quiet location. Would definitely stay here again.

  • The cabin is beautiful. Rick is an amazing host with quick responses and very kind. We went skiing and snowboarding at Elk mountain about a 25 min drive. We didn’t want to go anywhere else because we loved the cabin so much. The scenery is beautiful and the cabin is so cozy and homey feeling we didn’t want to go. Highly recommend this stay.

  • Our family enjoyed staying at Rick's cabin while visiting our eldest daughter at sleep away camp. Rick was helpful leading up to the trip with information and answers, as well as stopped by to provide us with useful tips about the local area. He even brought by a hose and sprinkler for our daughter to run through.

  • Rick, I want to thank you for the prompt responses. I booked this house last minute and you made the process very easy going and took a lot of stress off my back. Upon arrival everything was better than expected. The pictures don’t do justice compared to the real deal. Our stay was phenomenal and soothing to the soul. I will certainly be back here very soon. This stay will be going in my books and will also refer it to everyone I know. Rick we cant thank you enough.. much appreciated. Beat regards, Endri V

  • perfect for our family skiing trip to Elk mountain. a bit of a drive (30 mins) but very comfortable and clean. has a nice rustic feeling. very cozy around the fireplace, which Rick had turned on for us, along with music, prior to our arrival. we had 11 people with room to spare. nice set up for 2-3 families. was able to cook a meal with kitchen items. great communication with host. get pizza from Villa Como nearby. delicious!!

    Julie2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great time was had by all! Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 days to really explore the property. Rick was a gracious host, checking in to ensure everything was perfect at checkin and gave us a little bit of history of the property. Definitely on our places to check out again in the winter for some skiing and shredding.

    Korin2018-08-12T00:00:00Z

  • We had a lovely overnight stay at Fahad’s home in Hancock, NY. Check in/out was convenient, and easy. The entire house was warm, cozy and welcoming. We were able to have big family meals together that we prepared in the full kitchen, ate at the oversized diner table, then relaxed around a cracking fire! The beds were incredibly comfortable and in rooms that were spacious and charming. If we want to stay in Hancock in the future, we would love stay at Fahad’s home again!

    Joanne2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was simply charming and had much more than expected. the beds were comfortable linens were top notch! Fahad had soda, water and other beverages on hand for travelers. • Great place with nice view especially in the morning one of the best cabins i stayed in so far we had great time.

    Murat2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great weekend at The River House! The views were amazing, and the house was so cozy but still way more than enough room for 5 adults. It was the perfect spot for a fall getaway. We especially loved the beautiful fireplaces and had fun looking through the countless DVDs. The house was everything we needed and more. We didn’t get to meet Tiffany, but her setup was amazing — so nice of her to leave us a bottle of wine! — and she was very flexible when we had to change some of our booking information just a few days before the trip. We will be back!

    Madeline2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany went out of her way to make our time at the River House special. The space is so cozy, well-designed, and in a perfect location. There are tons of things to do in the house - movies, games, music, etc. -and the nearby town has a number of cool breweries to check out. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking to relax and cozy up by campfire for the weekend. Tiffany, thanks again for welcoming us into your home!

    Samantha2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve been coming to Downsville every year for the last 8 years and this year we decided to rent an Airbnb rather then the small family cabin we usually stay in. I cannot express in full detail how absolutely magical this place is, it’s something you have to see for yourself. Tiffany was the best Airbnb host I’ve ever dealt with over the years. She was hospitable beyond my expectations and her response time made it super easy to breeze through my questions and concerns. The house is stunning and the land it’s on may even top that, there is no shortage of relaxation or adventure, whichever you choose to indulge in is more than rewarding. I hope to come back sometime soon to enjoy that place yet again, I’m sure all of the previous guests share that same desire!

    Julian2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had an amazing stay here! We were celebrating my cousin’s upcoming wedding and this was the perfect location for us! The house itself was adorable and had everything we needed and didn’t think of packing. Tiffany was so sweet and always available for questions if we had any. The location is pretty remote so be prepared to unplug when not in range of the WiFi but that’s the point of a vacation sometimes right?! Her neighbor was so sweet to us as well so we felt safe. There are plenty of places to go hiking and antiquing within a 20 min drive depending on what you’re looking for. Overall we had an amazing experience and would recommend this location to anyone interested!!

    Erin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z

  • Made a last minute reservation and Sylvia was kind enough to accept it. The house is amidst beautiful foliage which luckily was at its peak. The house was very easy to get to. The room was made for us. Even though she did not have time to prepare she made sure we had some breakfast. Frankly, it was more than we normally do. There was a little kitchenette type area with basic necessities adjoining the room. The bathroom is right outside the bedroom. She was very nice with everything. The bed was super comfy and there’s also a tv so we got to binge our favorite show too ;) Btw she has roku. Will surely visit again. This place is absolutely brilliant for Fall when the colors are at their best.

  • This house is perfect for large groups: comfortable beds, plenty of rooms, fully-equipped kitchen, and even a game room in the basement. There were four of us, but it could probably easily fit 8 except the bathroom situation might get a little crowded. We were there for Thanksgiving and the house had everything we needed for a perfect mini retreat. The only challenge is finding it, which Danielle warned us about beforehand. If you can, arrange to arrive in the daylight, and make sure you download the map on your phone beforehand.

  • Jermaine place is great

    Philip2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Danielle and Jermaine were excellent hosts- extremely fast in replying to messages, graciously accommodating when we asked for an early check-in, and overall warm and welcoming. The house itself was also great- well maintained on a large, peaceful property with all of the amenities and space you could need. For a 4 day trip, we made one stop at a supermarket (Big M in Deposit, NY) about 20 minutes north of the house, and did not have to leave again after, making for a perfect retreat. The Table tennis and pool tables, as well as the massive stone fireplace, were definitely highlights for us. Highly recommended for anyone, but especially for small groups; we only had 3 but the house could have easily accommodated a group at least twice the size. This place was awesome all around!

    Ganesh2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is amazing, the host is always going the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. We booked during the Halloween season and they decorated the place to fit the season. A great thought that we all appreciated. The place is perfect to just get away and be comfortable. Will love to come back.

  • Wonderful spacious place. The hosts were great

    Lillian2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jermaines place was absolutely beautiful. It was spotless, well stocked, spacious. The property was located on a quiet and peaceful road and the sunrises & sunsets were breathtaking. Communication was fast, easy and painless. The best Air b&b I’ve stayed in so far.

    Alecia2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jermaine and co. are terrific and responsive hosts. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and well stocked. The setting, private and sublime. Kayaking on the Delaware with OARS was great. All told, highlight of our summer.

    Michael2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jermaine and Danielle are amazing hosts that really cater to their guest’s every need. My friends and I take a fishing trip to the Delaware River once or twice a year. This time our partners wanted to join so we needed a large house to accompany everyone. The bbq grill and spacious kitchen provided the perfect space to prepare every meal which was helpful as there are only a few restaurants in the area. Nights were spent unwinding around the fire or enjoying the large jacuzzi tub. When we arrived, Jermaine called the house to make sure we knew how to use all the amenities and set the alarm(having the alarm was very reassuring). We are already planning our next trip to Hancock to stay with Jermaine and Danielle!

  • Our stay at the farm was incredible. Super relaxing. Damian was gracious enough to allow us to check in early and check out late so we could make full use of the property - especially the incredibly expansive backyard, deck, fire pit and bbq which are all amazing on a sunny day. We really enjoyed our stay!

This property is located in the widest part of the East Branch of the Delaware River. There have been no industrial sources of pollution on this river in several decades and the water is crystal clear. On top of that, the owner has been named The River Keeper by the Delaware Highlands Conservancy by virtue of his relentless campaign to remove tires and trash from the river and adjoining uplands. One of the pools in this property is known by locals as the "Pig Pen" because of the large fish caught there. There is excellent fishing for trout, bass, walleye and shad. There is a public boat launch ten miles upstream from this property and you will float by countless islands on your way down to this property.
Please Note that this property is not located on the crowded West Branch of the Delaware River where fishermen often have to worry about bumping into other waders while dodging drift boats. Instead, this property is located on the East Branch, which is quiet and secluded. This property is about two miles from the quaint village of Hancock, the Two Sisters Cafe, Friends of the Upper Delaware River, the Hancock Liquor Store, Wallgreens and Tops grocery store.

  • Dave's house is absolutely wonderful — you feel like you are part of an enchanting and whimsical landscape. The pond is gigantic and so unique (you must rent kayak or bring you own), the land is so vast, you could even camp outside. The inside is cozy and the beds very comfortable. On top of that Dave was a great and friendly host. Can't wait to come back.

  • A beautiful property, a comfortable cabin, and excellent host. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. If you are looking to have fun hiking and canoeing, this place is for you. If all you want to do is take in the natural beauty of Harmony Valley, then look no further this is the place. This place is enjoyable all year round. Smiles are included too!

    John2020-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • The space was the perfect respite...a weekend away from the busyness! Off the beaten path, the house was cozy, had all necessary amenities, and provided great space to stretch out, wander, read and rest. Would be a perfect writers retreat, would also be perfect in warmer months to explore the large pond on the property. The final road to the property is unpaved and would be tough if snow, ice or even fresh rain. Best with 4x4. There is a local grocery and liquor store to stock up on the way.

The location is on a main road, so there is no travel on back roads. It is also close to a public Access to the Delaware River, for swimming, fishing,or canoeing.

This 3-season cottage offers cozy and secluded country-living with an open kitchen and deck. It's sunny and relaxing, against a backdrop of lush green mountain-forest views from every window. The grounds include a large yard, pleasantly secluded on all sides from any neighbors. A mere 2-hour drive from NYC and located in the Upper Delaware River Valley near Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center, French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts and the hamlets of Calicoon, Narrowsburg and Hancock, NY.
The view from the reading room captures the mountain pond, just across the gravel road, along with beautiful foliage. With the exception of the gravel road, the property remains secluded on all 4 sides, by dense forests and mountains; out of eyesight or earshot of any neighbors. So feel free to use the yard, for fun and games, or peaceful tranquility, day or night. The yard is also ideal for yoga, reading a good book, photography or camping out and inviting friends for a weekend of glamping and stargazing. Keep the fun going as late as everyone in your group wants, with the charming fire pit. Depending on the month, the Milky Way and Perseids meteor shower can offer stunning photos from the yard at night. For those who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts, the cottage and grounds are an ideal base camp for fun and relaxation, including cycling, mountain biking, hiking and paddle-sports. See "Guidebook" and "The Location/The Neighborhood" description for details of available activities in the area.
The magnificent "Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River," and its tributaries, are the major attraction of the area and a favorite for tubing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, creek boating as well as fishing (https://www.nps.gov/upde/index.htm). Bring your own boats/tubes/raft or rent the same from Lander's River Trips. Visit Skinner's Falls (15 minutes away) for a shot at some class II rapids or simply hangout in the wading pools or on the sun-warmed boulders there. The property itself is nestled in an area defined by mountains and flowing creeks; known locally as The Basket. This unique area offers beautiful driving, great cycling, mountain biking, hiking, trail and road running options as well as peaceful seclusion. Five minutes away is Crystal Lake Wild Forest which offers hiking trails and a pristine mountain lake for swimming and paddling (https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/79594.html). Ten minutes away is Catskill Pheasantry, a premier skeet-shooting and upland game preserve. Venturing further out, the trending hamlets of Calicoon on the Delaware and Narrowsburg offer dining, antiquing, nightlife, a cinema, local breweries, grocery stores and a farmers market; among other things. Within 40 minutes are notable attractions such Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (site of the 1969 Woodstock festival), Resorts World Catskills Casino & Raceway, Himalayan Institute Retreat Center and much more. Cyclists will be more than satisfied with the countless possibilities for road riding. A favorite is the round trip to Calicoon on the Delaware. This trip is challenging, beautiful and rewarding when stopping over at the Calicoon Brewery or one of the many other dining options there. A similarly rewarding, but shorter ride, is the round trip to the hamlet of Long Eddy, where you can stop in at The Chestnut, the Long Eddy Hotel & Saloon or Eminence Road Farm Winery for food and refreshments. Mountain/Gravel bikers and hikers alike will love exploring the many gravel roads and old logging trails that can be accessed directly from the property. A fun MTB/Gravel bike/hiking challenge involves cranking through old gravel and logging roads, trails and fields to get to the elusive McGurrins Pub for refueling; before crankin' it back to basecamp. About 20 minutes away is Walnut Mountain, one of the funnest public (free) access MTB/CX biking trail systems in the Catskills; boasting 13 miles of single track and about 5 miles of old carriage roads (http://www.renegadesmtb.com/walnut-mtn-map12014-copy.png). See "Guidebook" for more details on available activities in the area.

  • Although the place was a bit hard to find (Google maps will misdirect you about 500’ from the actual house), the space itself was extremely well maintained and clean. Great for a short weekend. Be sure to use the fire pit!

  • Maria's cabin is very nice - a nice roomy house right next to a pond. We enjoyed getting out of the city and being surrounded by trees. There was plenty of hiking right around the cabin - you don't need to drive anywhere, though apparently there are lovely places to visit nearby as well. It's the perfect escape from New York. We had some problems with our car rental and phones, which Maria went above and beyond the normal hosting responsibilities to help us with. We would certainly go back.

  • The Lake House was perfect! It fit 4 couple nicely and the decks, water access and firepit were just what we were looking for. Each morning coffee we had coffee on the dock then spent time floating in the lake enjoying the quiet secluded get away. We did a BBQ every night followed by some nice mellow fire pit time and ended the night with a movie.

Located in the Northern Poconos region, this lakefront cottage is located on a natural, spring-fed lake. It's located in-between Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River to the east and Elk Mountain Ski Resort to the west. We've equipped the cottage to be a turn-key getaway destination for guests seeking a relaxing getaway, with many outdoor recreation opportunities. A fifteen minute walk from our doorstep puts you on the local Rails-to-Trails hiking and biking trail system.
All linens and an equipped kitchen are provided. The cottage has air conditioning and forced warm air heat. We provide all the firewood for the wood stove and the outdoor campfire pit.
This cottage is located in a private community, with a total of only 20 cottages on the lakefront. The southern, inlet end of the lake is held by The Delaware Highlands Conservancy in a land conservation easement, which will maintain the pristine beauty of the lake. Located just 3 miles from the historical Lakewood Lodge and Restaurant, you can hike or bike to the Lodge on the Rails-to-Trails system and enjoy a meal and beverages. During the warmer months, a 1,000 s.f. outdoor dining pavilion provides a nice, memorable dining experience. To the east, the Upper Delaware River, east and west branches gives you access to a trophy trout streams, very popular for fly fishing. To the west, Elk Mountain Ski Resort, provides what we believe is the best skiing and snowboarding in Pennsylvania. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing are also possibilities and can be done directly on the lake, once the ice is thick enough.

    Thomas2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A truly beautiful home in a gorgeous natural setting - even during a mostly gray, rainy winter the walking and hiking in the area was delightful and the views from the home were stunning. The house itself is spacious and great for hanging out (tons of comfy lounge space, plenty of bedroom space) and cooking (decent kitchen with standard rental equipment - BYO if you have any "must haves" for your cooking, but the basics are here), building wood fires (phenomenal fireplace!!), and enjoying the jacuzzi (the host recently got a larger hot water heater in so you can really fill it now). It was also accessible to our little sedan even when there was snow and an ice storm, and the WiFi worked fine for us the whole time. A couple of things worth noting that aren't entirely obvious from the description: There is NO cell reception, at least not for Sprint or AT&T. The host will send you a cell number for someone who can assist you with things like firewood (and fresh eggs, yum!); make sure to reach out to them while you're traveling because you won't be able to text when you arrive, although you get reception back pretty quickly in nearby highways and towns. Also, there are neighbors closer than it looks from the photos. You still have plenty of quiet and privacy inside the house, but it's not isolated outside of it. And you absolutely must be able to manage large amounts of steep stairs - the entire house is built around them, including getting into the front door (fine if you're able-bodied, but in no way ADA accessible). Finally, the beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable to sleep in, like sleeping on the floor. If you have a mattress topper, it's worth the space in your car to bring it. (But the house was so great I'd gladly stay again even after a week of aching joints.)

Waking up to the views of the river and mountain with a cup of coffee in your hands; sitting by the fireplace during the cold crisp nights and listening to holiday tunes; watching the starts while laying on a snow. The house had everything we need for a week stay. Sam was responsive prior and during our stay. We can only imagine how wonderful it would be to come back during the summer when you can canoe in the river and swim. Can’t wait to be back and thanks for everting.

  • Sam’s home is so well used so well loved and couldn’t be more comfortable. Nothing beats after a day of fishing and then driving down the road to Sam’s knowing the sauna/steam and big fireplace await. The property managers are so lovely and helpful. The big yard and the access to river at the property are so great to run around and play outside! It’s a wonderful place to be! The only thing I would note is the Internet wasn’t working and there wasn’t a DVD player or way to watch movies. Everything was wonderful though!! Hope to go back.
