History Museum
“Explore Pittsburgh rich tradition of innovation and long history throughout Pennsylvania's largest history museum, a proud partner of The Smithsonian Institution. The 275,000 sq. ft. museum features six floors of long-term and changing exhibit space, including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum.”

“Voted 8 th in the country by Yelp of all restaurants in the United States Gaucho Parilla (Strip District) is currently a 15 minute walk from this building. If you choose to dine in, then expect to wait in a line that is wrapped around the block. (They have announced a move 10 blocks West towards downtown, so double check.) Get it to go!!! Look up the menu online and call them in the morning before they open for the evening. Then call them and place your order for a specific time. When you go to pick it up, walk right past the line, through the doors and straight up to the register. It will likely be ready for you. Pick it up, walk out the door, and eat it on the back deck here overlooking downtown. Fold out tables, and patio chairs are up there already.”

“If yinz don't go here, everyone you tell about your trip to Pittsburgh will ask you if you had a Primanti Bros sandwich and if you say no, they are going to wonder why they are even friends with you. Believe me when I say you shouldn't need to eat for the rest of the day, but it's just one of those things you gotta try once! Or you could not - and say you DID. I think this is the original location, but don't quote me on that. There are several others as well if you want to try squeezing it into your existing plans elsewhere.”

“President Obama frequents this diner whenever he’s in Pittsburgh and you should, too. These crispy, delectable hotcakes stuffed with fruit and covered in whipped cream are something of a sin, and there’s nothing better to drown your hangover in. Nothing.”

“Penn Brew has been serving up craft beers and German food since long before craft beer was cool... As you walk out the front door, go up the hill to your right and go into the parking lot on your left. From there, just keep following the winding steps down and eventually you will find yourself in their beer garden. If that’s where you sit, then send someone from your party to the host stand to let them know you sat yourself. ”

“The BEST Italian food in Pittsburgh :) Counter service lunch every day, table service for dinner and Sunday brunch (you'll want a reservation for dinner, but sometimes bar seats are open). Also offer my favorite takeout and delivery pizza from the owner's adjacent restaurant Pizzeria Davide”

Restaurant
“Pretty classic old fashioned gritty Pittsburgh diner with breakfast foods running the gamut from old standbys like pancakes and eggs to breakfast burritos and old school milkshakes. Expect long lines during weekend mornings, but trust us, it's worth the wait. Since DeLuca's is in The Strip District you might want to plan your morning around getting breakfast and checking out the open many small food markets and produce purveyors that made The Strip an iconic Pittsburgh neighborhood.”
