“A few minutes walk from the town centre is Stratford Park, with a mini arboretum, a lake and this charming museum and secret garden, set in a Georgian manor house. Learn about Stroud's colourful past in textures and cloth, and view the world's first lawnmower!”

Pool
“This has to be the worst photo I've seen - looks like a tube station on the North Circular! Or worse. Anyway, its a decent size leisure centre, with an inside and outdoor pool (summer), a large hall for badminton and other sports, squash courts, a gym and a cafe. Actually set in nice grounds with a play area and woods to the rear.”

Bar
“Your other local, about 10 mins walk. Everything a proper local pub should be; warm, friendly with frequent events and run by a true one-off, Rodder. Geographically out of the centre, this is undoubtedly the beating heart of alternative, creative, eccentric, Stroud. Buzzing on Friday evenings (be there at six for free snacks) and when events are on, but it can also be a low key venue with a good vibe. Edible food, sunny garden, events including live music, big sporting fixtures, festivals, dog show, fireworks, flower and produce show, stand up, etc.) ”

Park
“The beautiful Stratford Park spanning 56 acres, is a great destination for everyone! As well as housing the Museum, there is the Stratford Park Leisure Centre with both an indoor and outdoor pool, alongside gym facilities and tennis courts. With large grassy lawns, two children’s play area, a lake, woodland and an arboretum and of course the Museum, it’s a wonderful place to spend the day. ”
