Quarter around the "Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen" 70173 Stuttgart The area around the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen has developed into a popular nightlife area in the last few years, away from the Königstraße. Whether for breakfast under palm trees, lunch in the sun or celebrations until the early hours of the morning - especially in the summer, the charming place with a southern flair! The feeling of life: Dolce Vita. The sound: street musicians, laughs and music. The mood: Unique! In May 1909, exactly 100 years ago, the quarter around the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen was opened in Stuttgart's core city after three years of renovation. Extensive reconstruction measures had taken place, in the course of which dozens of houses were demolished and replaced by new ones. In the course of the 19th century, the oldest parts of Stuttgart's old town developed into a neglected neighborhood with unhygienic dwellings, little light and air supply, as well as a high risk of fire and epidemics. The banker and social reformer Eduard Pfeiffer developed a "new" old town To Geiß-, Stein- and Eberhardstraße. Pfeiffer pursued the goal of making housing and shopping, trade and traffic attractive again in the core city.  The new buildings created a homely ambience on winding streets with high gables and arcades, fountains, bay windows and figurines. The more than 30, very variedly designed buildings exhibited different roof shapes and facade details and were adorned with fairytale motifs, animal figures and facade paintings. No house resembled the other, and yet they harmonized with each other. In spite of many changes, the charm of the neighborhood has been preserved to this day. The place at the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen was created in this form 100 years ago. How did it actually happen that the square still looks like a medieval doll's house? Fairy-tale figures decorate gables, roofs and fountains in the middle of the square. The houses stand modestly next to each other, none protrudes, none destroys the harmony of the neighborhood. When the city center was renovated from the outset, the city planers staged a healthy world of the bourgeoisie. Nowhere else do you find more restaurants and bars on less space than here: the award-winning ruben's stands for the special and the extraordinary   The place has its own sound: its sound is woven out of glasses, laughter, music and the kinker of the asphalt crashing heels. Six bronze medallions show scenes from the Grimm fairytale of Hans, who found his fortune when he was rid of all his belongings. Stuttgart is rich in charm and beauty. The figure of the well embodies a coarse peasantry from the Filders in a short jacket with silver buttons, which the artist had encountered in the slaughterhouse. At the boy's feet, a pig and six small ducks, which serve as a water spout, are humming around. On the edge of the fountain bowl rises a latticed wrought iron enclosure with six bronze medallions, which tell the tale of the same name in pictures. Above it is an ornately arched wrought-iron canopy, from whose top a four-leaf clover leaves. On May 12, 1909 the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen was inaugurated as the crowning conclusion of the old town renovation. The city district of Stuttgart-Mitte is located on the bottom of the Stuttgart Talkessel, whose edge is formed by the adjoining districts on a hillside. Center of the district and the whole state capital is the Königstraße, one of the longest traffic-calmed shopping malls in Europe, along which most well-known department stores and shops are represented, as well as the castle square with the Kunstmuseum, Königsbau and the Neues Schloss. In the immediate vicinity is the Schillerplatz with the Old Castle and the Stiftskirche. Further to the south is the market square with the town hall, the Tagblatt tower and, separated by the Hauptstätterstrasse, the Leonhardskirche as well as the bean and the Heusteig district. To the east of the castle square, in the area of the Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse and the Oberer Schlossgartens, are the Landtag and the State Theater as well as the Staatsgalerie, the Württembergische Landesbibliothek and the Wilhelmspalais on the other side of the road. The Konrad-Adenauer-Straße (B 14) carries two rather different "labels": on the one hand cultural mile, on the other hand, Stadtautobahn. On the western edge of the inner city lie the hospital quarter with the only partially rebuilt Hospitalkirche (in the "New suburb") and a number of cultural institutions. The Liederhalle and the Linden-Museum, the historic Hoppenlaufriedhof, then the Kathar...... • The view from Christopher’s apartment is simply amazing. It sits overlooking the roof tops of old town and is above a lively nightlife area. The climb up the stairs is definitely worth the effort.

  • The location was perfect. We were concerned when we had emailed our host a number of times and had no response. Would have lessened our anxiety had we known he was on vacation. We had no idea what was happening. Apartment is well equipped. Thank goodness for the fan with the attic room and 38c/100f. Realize you will be in the middle of party central on the weekends with lots of music and noise until 3am. Also spiral staircase up 4 floors to get there.

  • Central location with a lot of bars and restaurant around, clean, you need to call a telephone nr to enter the house (which is fine only I noticed not immediately); room is a bit narrow and small with unfortunately no sofa or"relax" chair, but overall pretty good.

Wasen (2,1 km) Sportklinik (500 m) Schleyer-Halle (1,8 km) Porsche Arena (2,1 km)

  • Tiny studio apartment but Burak has decked it out with most amenities you'll need, except there was no hairdryer and I think there was soap but not shampoo. The directions Burak sent for check in were fantastic (first time ever receiving a video, which helps a lot). The place was small but spotless, sofa bed was more comfortable for sleeping than we had expected and the addition of a fan for the warm summer nights was VERY much appreciated. Only real complaint is that the water flow from the shower head is rather low and the water would go hot and cold at short intervals. Otherwise, this place is value for money for a short stay with privacy!

  • We have a lot of good things to say about out stay- Burak responded very quickly and his directions were helpful. While the place is “mini”, it had everything we needed (including a washer and dryer). Our two issues though were with privacy and the shower. The blinds to the apartment were about 15cm away from the window so people walking through the parking lot could see right into the apartment. The walls are also paper thin, so you could hear everything that was going on around you. In terms of the shower, it was nearly impossible to have a comfortable shower because it was either extremely hot or extremely cold.

  • Small cute apartment in 12 minutes to metro. All needed staff inside, coffee mashing, wi-fi. Great communication with Burak. Scaffolding in front of windows but you can close the curtains.

  • The location was great. It was next to the park and within a five minute walk of the plaza with many restaurants and cafes. Neighborhood was very safe and the room itself had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Host was very nice and gave great pointers on local food and entertainment. Very happy with our stay.

Quarter around the "Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen" Geissstrasse 13, Stuttgart A trendy district in Stuttgart's Old Town: Away from the Königstraße, the area around the Hans-in-Glück fountain has developed into a popular nightlife district in recent years. Whether for breakfast under the palm trees, lunch in the sun or parties until early in the morning - especially in summer, the charming place with a southern flair! The attitude to life: Dolce Vita. The sound: street musicians, laughter and scraps of music. The mood: unique! In May 1909, exactly 100 years ago, the quarter around the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen was inaugurated in the Stuttgart city center after three years of renovation. This was preceded by extensive reconstruction work, during which dozens of houses had been demolished and replaced by new ones. After the oldest parts of Stuttgart's Old Town developed into a neglected district with unhygienic apartments, low light and air supply as well as a high risk of fire and epidemic in the course of the 19th century, a "new" old town was created on the initiative of the banker and social reformer Eduard Pfeiffer at Geiß-, Stein- and Eberhardstraße. Pfeiffer pursued the goal of making residential and shopping, commerce and traffic in the city center attractive again. The new buildings created a homely ambience on winding streets with high gables and arcades, fountains, oriels and figureheads. The more than 30, very varied designed buildings showed different roof shapes and facade details and were decorated with fairytale motifs, animal figures and façade paintings. No two houses resembled another, yet they harmonized with each other. Despite many changes, the appeal of the neighborhood has been preserved to this day. The square at the Hans-im-Glück-Brunnen was created in this form 100 years ago. How did it actually happen that the square still looks like a medieval dollhouse? Fairy-tale characters adorn gables, roofs and the fountain in the middle of the square. The houses stand modestly next to each other, none stands out, none destroys the harmony of the neighborhood. When the inner city quarter was completely renovated at the time, the city planners staged an ideal world of the bourgeoisie. Nowhere are more restaurants and bars crowded together than here: the award-winning ruben's stands for the special and the extraordinary The place has its own sound: its sound is woven of glasses, laughter, music and the clatter of heels crashing over the asphalt. Six bronze medallions show scenes from Grimm's fairy tale about Hans, who only found happiness when he lost all his possessions. Stuttgart, for example, is rich in charm and beauty on the square of the happy has-been. The fountain figure embodies a rugged peasant lad from the Fildern in a short jacket studded with silver buttons, which the artist encountered in the slaughterhouse. At the feet of the boy, a pig and six little ducks, who serve as gargoyles, cavort about. On the edge of the fountain bowl rises a grid-like wrought-iron enclosure with six bronze medallions, which tell the fairy tale of the same name in pictures. Above it is an ornate wrought-iron canopy, with a four-leaf clover rising from its top. On May 12, 1909, the Hans-in-Glück fountain was inaugurated as the crowning finale of the then Altstadtsanierung. The district of Stuttgart-Mitte is located at the bottom of the Stuttgart basin, whose edge is formed by the adjacent districts on a hillside. Center of the district and the entire state capital is the Königstraße, one of the longest pedestrianized shopping streets in Europe, along which most of the well-known department stores and shops are represented, as well as the Schlossplatz with the Kunstmuseum, the Königsbau and the Neues Schloss. In direct neighborhood is the Schillerplatz with the old castle and the collegiate church. Further southwards follows the market square with the town hall, the Tagblatt tower and, separated by the Hauptstätter Straße, the Leonhardskirche as well as the bean and the Heusteig quarters. East of the Schlossplatz, in the area of the Konrad-Adenauer-Straße and the Upper Schlossgarten, are the state parliament and the state theater as well as the Staatsgalerie, the Württembergische Landesbibliothek and the Wilhelmspalais on the other side of the street. The Konrad-Adenauer-Straße (B 14) carries two quite different "labels": on the one hand cultural mile, on the other city highway. On the western edge of the city center are the Hospital Quarter with the partially rebuilt Hospital Church (in the "New Suburb") and a number of cultural facilities. To name are the Liederhalle and the Linden Museum, in between the historic Hoppenlaufriedhof, then the Katharinenhospital and the banking district with the Friedrichsbau and the stock market. South of the Katharinenhospital on the Kriegsbergstraße there is a green area, the "Stadtgarten", there on the Schellingstraße and Keplerstraße lie parts of the university, the former technical college, especially three skyscrapers and the university library. Two of the skyscrapers are the Kollegiengebäude near the main station, the third is the Max Kade dormitory at the Liederhalle. The northern boundary of the district forms the Europaviertel, whose area until the 1980s occupied a freight yard. In the spring of 2002, work began on rebuilding the area. In the Europaviertel you will find the new location of the public library, which was previously located in the Wilhelmspalais, where a city museum is to be established.
  • Unit is exactly as pictured. It’s location is great, near the main centre of Stuttgart and near many restaurants and shopping. The apartment is open to a busy courtyard full of restaurants so a bit noisy into the late night hours. A great experience overall.

    Deborah2018-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect and clean :)

    Camila2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was clean, easy access, great location. Happening bars and club near by which is great. But because of the nightlife scene it was pretty noisy until 2:00AM. I would have given it 5 stars but only 4 because of this. Could have been because it was the night before Good Friday. But overall a pretty good experience

    Stephen2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sebastian is very helpful and friendly host, the apartment was nice and perfect for my short stay. The location is very good, pubs, restaurants are basically next door. I had a little problem with the shower. I couldn't get the warmth of the water right. After a while (±10 seconds) it started fluctuating from cold to burning warm, no mater what the original settings were.

    Agoston2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy apartment in the city centre.

    John2017-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • **Please read other comments before booking this flat! This is a strange apartment in a very noisy part of town. There is no control for heat, and when the room gets too hot you open the window to let in more noise. There are earplugs provided. The shower is very small with very low water pressure. The kitchen and bathroom are open to each other. It is hard to prepare breakfast while someone is using the toilet. Our biggest problem is that I was required to use my phone to call to get access to the apartment building every time I wanted to go in. Without an international mobile phone plan, this could cost someone quite a bit of money - as I'm sure it did for me. I would never stay here again.

  • Good location, clean flat easy accesible

    Michiel2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sebestian's place is centrally located. It situated in a beautiful square which gets quite busy during the night as it's full of restaurants and bars. As others suggested it might get a bit noisy too, especially during the weekend where people stay out longer. If you would like to have a nice warm bath everyday than this place is NOT for you. The water in the shower has no pressure at all, and to make things worse, its freezing cold. There does not seem to be any warm/hot water in the shower which make is very difficult to take a bath! If I knew this beforehand I would not have stayed at this place, especially considering what I have paid for three nights!

  • Great accomodation and location. I would recommend this flat to everyone. Thanks to Ganna.

  • It a very nice place. Although it's not in the centre of the city, it's really convenience to get there. There is a market not too far. Ganna is a very nice keeper. The room is very clean and the environment is quiet and nice. There have enough space and the kitchen etc. is useful.

    2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ganna’s place was very modern and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations! The location was good. A bit out of the city but a really lovely area to walk around. Ganna has very little English but still did her best to give us everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

    Anna2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a difficult few days before getting to Ganna’s so did not communicate time of arrival very well. This was complicated further by using public transport and walking, delaying us further. However Ganna was there to let us in and her place was very peaceful. Just what we needed at the time. For future travellers, if you are not in a car we would recommend buying some food on your way to Ganna’s as it is a residential area.

    Sarah2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed at Ganna's place for a quick night but the place was perfect. We came to Stuttgart with a car so the free parking in front was a good touch that we needed. She was quick to respond and helped us out when we arrived. The place is in a very nice neighborhood and was exactly as expected. Thanks again!

  • The place was awesome and really clean. It’s so easy to get around because of the close subway station. Always would book it again.

    Tobias2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The sofa is uncomfortable with the noise when you sleep on. The house was bad aerated only one fan in the toilet = hot + hard to breathe and odor stay after cooking. So we had to open the window but very noisy outside. The towel was at 3eu? Why? I don't know maybe it was the only thing put in the Washington machine after the check out? Nothing to cook with so why a cooking plate? But plenty of space very good for a family trip.

  • My friends and I were very disappointed about our stay at Lex's flat in Stuttgart. We paid more than 80e per person for a single night and figured there was only one real bed for 2 people. So the 2 others of us had to sleep on a sofa without any bedsheet provided. Not to mention that we didn't even have nor towels....Or a bin at our disposal anywhere but in the toilets... Deplorable... Plus, when we called him to have more info about the beamer and the PlayStation that he advertised we could use... It was actually untrue.. I guess that Lex might have lots of flats to handle as we could understand and couldn't care less about his hosts. The only thing he's applying himself to is ripping people off. Definitely not recommend it.

    Corentin2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lex is a responsive host and is always helpful with my queries.

    Juyong2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at lex’s place. Very clean and modern.

    John2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lex's place is an entire "unit"... it is not one room in a building! It is a really nice location just a short walk away from the train and/or bus. It is close to several grocery stores and bakeries! And, a nice walk away from the mall and city center. The loft is very relaxing and comfortable to sleep in and the entire space is very live-able! Including the table/desk area, couch, and bathroom. Wonderful neighborhood and buildings surrounding!

  • Alexandra's place is light-filled, airy, peaceful and comfortable, in a really pretty and relaxed area that feels like a village but is so close to central Stuttgart (short journey by S Bahn). Alexandra and her family are warm, friendly and helpful. They made my six month old baby so welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended as a quiet, peaceful base for exploring Stuttgart or just a place to relax for a few days, as we did. Beautiful vineyards to look at too.

Alexandra was generous in sharing her own handpicked apples fresh from her garden. Beds are rather small for two people but we made do. Enjoyed our stay here.

Fresh linen, sheets andf towels are provided. Aside the curtains i've installed roller blinds to garant recreative sleep in the morning hours due to the rising sun. Moreover my Nespresso machine along with capsules is for for your disposal.

  • Raul David made this process seamless. He is a friendly and insightful guy who was quick and detailed with his communication leading up and during our stay. The room is clean & tidy, fresh, modern & comfortable. So many suprises were found around the room - personal notes, local tips & restaurant recommendations, nothing was left unanswered. We have had a wonderful experience in dealing & meeting with Raul & would recommend anyone visiting Stuttgart to stay here. Danke shon Raul David :)

  • I had a very enjoyable stay here for two nights for work: Raul David is a welcoming host who had excellent restaurant tips and travel information. It's a very nicely equipped studio space with everything you need, great bathroom, coffee (farmer's milk available round the corner in an automatic dispenser), comfy bed, etc. It's easily walkable downhill to the train station and museums; plenty of places to eat within 10 minutes in a nice neighbourhood.

    Natalie2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Raul's place. This really is a home away from home, with all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Stadmitte S-Bahn station is approx a 15 minute walk away, and the large Rewe supermarket around the corner adds to the convenience of this appartment. Communication with Raul was easy, both prior to check in and throughout the stay. Highly recommended!

    Rebecca2017-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Raul's place is perfect for a short stay. It's a very cute, cozy little studio apartment but it's very well laid out and therefore really comfortable. It has everything you need- it's amazing! There's a fab cafe just downstairs, the area is nice and quiet and easy access to the centre. The bed was comfortable, the apt was clean and the shower was awesome (good pressure can be hard to come by these days!). A great stay for a couple, and highly recommended. Raul seems really friendly and communication was awesome.

  • Sebastian was a great host who was extremely easy to contact. If you want to stay in a central location to that part of Stuttgart, his place is great. Very busy/hip square. If you're bringing a car the parking is expensive.

  • The apartment is great, so is its central location. Be prepared for considerable noise from the street, especially in summer

  • It is a great location to go out in Stuttart. Very central located. Lots of Restaurants and Bars right around. So all very close to party

    Jochen2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sebastian's place is in a very central location so was good for our brief stay.

    Chelsea2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • My husband stayed in the B&B just one Saturday night. The location is very central in a live city area. Sebastian was always easy to reach by phone and email. Check in/out very smart! The apartment is small but very well equipped. We read in advance reviews by other guests and we knew the apartment could be loud. And in fact it was a bit loud, but it was not that relevant for us, compared to other facilities the B&B offers.

    Emanuela2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was nice that Sebastian left some earplugs in awareness that it is a noisy place. However, it really cannot be more central, so that is the trade-off. The flat is renovated and I found it charming that they left the old doors for character.

    Margareta2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • wonderful apartment, everything was good, there are many restaurants and bars around, and very near to many places. And Sebastian is a very good host.

The charming apartment is located in a perfect spot in Degerloch, which is one of Stuttgart's most desireable locations. The neighborhood is very charming as well. The livingroom offers a view over "Lindenplätzle" with its old linden tree, three minutes from the historic town hall and a lovely farmer's market on Wednesday and Saturday.
The apartement has been extensivly renovated in the past year, retaining a balance of old and new, a perfect mix of deco and ideal location.
In the immediate vicinity you will find all kind of stores for your daily needs and pleasures - supermarkets, organic stores, bakeries, you name it. Neighboring the house is a bakery with the best pretzels, and around the corner, on wednesday and saturday, is a beautiful farmer's market and a great butcher. The bakery has a garden cafe that closes at 6:30 pm.
  • The host canceled this reservation 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Irmgards beautiful apartment above her interior store is gorgeous. It is only 10 minutes on the train from the main station and is in it's own leafy little town. There are supermarkets, bakeries, coffee shops, butchery hairdresser jeweller and pharmacies ... you may never leave. Irmgard is very kind and informative. The facilities are amazing. it is home away from home. Don't hesitate to book this little gem if you don't want to be in the hussle and bustle of another city.

  • This is a little jewel of an apartment in Degerloch. Perfect place for a couple to stay in Stuttgart. Irmgard has an interior design store downstairs and her flair carries through to all the details of the apartment. She was also extremely hospitable and went out of her way to make our stay as nice as possible.

    Bruce2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment in Stuttgart. Irmgard was very friendly, she had many suggestions about where to eat and how to get around the city. Next time we are in Stuttgart we will consider staying at Irmgard's place again.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Till and Jutta. They were excellent hosts! They really went the extra mile helping us with our plans and made sure we knew where to go and the best places to see. They just gave us such personalized service and made sure we got to our destination as well. The room is in a quiet neighborhood and it is a very large apartment with plenty of privacy. It is large, updated and the beds are very comfortable. They have some nice extras such as phone use, maps and tea tray. The room opens straight out to the back garden and is beautiful. The bathroom is updated and extremely nice as well. We had some great conversations with Till and Jutta and would have lived to stay longer. I would highly recommend staying with them and hope to be back to stay again on our next trip.

  • Great room in a quiet location near transportation and neighborhood center. Excellent host anticipates every need. Best Airbnb ever!

  • A totally relaxed and wonderful stay in nice cozy room with its own beautiful garden. The room is located downstairs on a separate floor of the flat, cool in summer, with an own bathroom (bath and shower). Nice and relaxed chat with the hosts at the carefully prepared breakfast plate made us feel it was Sunday.

    Max2011-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Stuttgart at Till & Jutta's place. The room is quite large with lots of space and comfortable chairs to sit in. There is plenty of room for two guests, and it would comfortably fit three. You also get your own private bathroom with a great shower and a very decently sized bath. The common area is very spacious and is home to the friendly neighbourhood cat. Again, heaps of space and extremely comfortable. Plenty of pictures, plants and knick-knacks to make the place feel like home. Till and Jutta are fantastic hosts. We opted to have breakfast with them in the mornings and they have some wonderful stories to share. They made us feel welcome and we are grateful for the experience. There was also an abundance of information for places to see and things to do in the area. They have compiled most of the important stuff into a folder for guests to flick through which included bus & train timetables, maps, guides, brochures and even coupons! If we couldn't find what we were looking for both Till and Jutta were more than willing to give us some advice. It is only a short walk to the bus stop, but you do have to change to the U-Bahn in order to get to the main part of Stuttgart. We did not have any issues with public transport, even when it was snowing. In summary, we'd give Till & Jutta 6 or 7 stars out of 5 if we could, we just can not recommend them highly enough. If you are coming to Stuttgart then you should definitely stay here. I'd also suggest a visit to the TV tower, it has quite an extraordinary view.

  • I can't recommend this place highly enough! Mr and Mrs Zieger made us very comfortable and very welcome. They treated us like guests rather than customers while also respecting our privacy. They will also help you to find activities in the area of Stuttgart. The room is is well furnished, aesthetically pleasant and quiet. I also recommend the delicious breakfast.

  • Till is a fabulously organized and prepared host. The apartment space is wonderful. Essentially a private room and bath with access to your own bathroom which is super clean and neat. Till can answer any question you have about the local area. He has maps and information available for anything you could want to do. The apartment is located nearby public transport for getting into other parts of Stuttgart. He provides access to great Wi-Fi in the apartment. Very helpful. If you are driving your own car, they have a parking space available. We had a great stay.

  • The place is awesome!!! Gabrielle provide all you need to best stay. The neyborwood is very friendly, the flat is not a basement, is a ground floor very nice decoradet. I reccomend.

  • This is a great place to stay. Everything was easy in terms of check-in, finding the house and communication. It is a modern home and everything feels brand new. I wish we could have stayed longer as this was a relaxing stay for my boyfriend and I . It is all about the little things, and Gabriele's place has everything you need plus some. There are candles and bath robes. There is even food to get you though your first day. Do not hesitate to stay here.

  • Gabriele's place is an excellent base if you're looking to explore both Stuttgart and the surrounding area. We were able to park our rental car in front of the garage right outside the house which was excellent, as parking spaces appeared to be at a premium in the area! The apartment itself was very clean and had everything we needed for a few days away, Gabriele had even been kind enough to leave us some breakfast items and drinks in the fridge for when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Gabriele herself is a wonderful host; friendly, helpful and answers any questions etc quickly and thoroughly. If you're looking for somewhere to stay and explore stuttgart (especially if you have a car) I highly recommend Gabriele's place. Danke schön Gabriele!

  • Gabriele's place was fantastic. It is located in a very good environment with a playground in the near area. You can definitely take a quick walk if you want to use public transportation. Her place was very clean and she also offered some drinks and food in the fridge. She also had some washing essentials in s the shower, which was perfect for us, because we didn't have any with us. Unfortunately we haven't met in real life but we stayed in contact the whole time which was great. I can definitely say that this experience was awesome!

    Lea2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Gabriele was very nice and accommodating to us. We were not too far from walking to cafes and grocery stores. We would stay there every time again. :)

  • Gabriele was a fantastic host. She took the time to give us very precise directions on how to reach her apartment making our trip from the airport extremely easy. Upon our arrival she was very friendly and showed us around her lovely apartment. It was larger than we expected and came with a fridge stocked with refreshments and breakfast items for us. The apartment was very comfortable and modern and absolutely perfect for our weekend trip. I highly recommend booking to stay here if you're planning a short trip to Stuttgart!

  • Barbel's apartment was so clean, so comfortable and had such modern, stylish fixtures and finishes, we felt right at home. We cooked comfortably. Slept well in the comfy bed and enjoyed the hot showers. We could walk to town in ten mins and to Mercedes Museum in 20. A fabulous position. We enjoyed our breakfast in the courtyard. Just a lovely experience. And Barbel was very easy to contact and communicate with. If you are fit and mobile just walk from the Bahnhoff, ten minutes along Deckerstr and around the corner from Aldi. Very handy. We highly recommend this apartment.

In the morning I took a 3 hour hike in the forest which was glorious. The centre of Stuttgard is so close and yet so is nature. Susanne was so patient with me, though I arrived much later than anticipated. I will most definately be staying here again. I am one very happy customer. Thanks again ☺.

  • Michael was really friendly and was helpful in his suggestion. Only thing was the heater wasn't really working but Michael immediately offered to fix it. Location wise it was also perfect (right behind the Bad-canstatt train station)

  • The place is very clean and comfortable for two; we loved the location right across from Bad Canstatt station, one stop from the Main station, Stuttgart HBF. The one thing I would point out is that the kitchen is very limited for people who cook at least a bit, with no microwave especially. But, on the whole, I would stay here again.

  • Great place and very neat place to stay. Thank you

  • Place is very well located, with a train station in front, a shopping mall only 3 minutes walking! Very cozy apartment. michael is very kind person. I recommend the place!

    Bruno2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Micha's flat is simply great and exactly in the location I needed, which is something very important when travelling for business. Check-in was easy and quick; a little special attention to the in-coming guest was highly appreciated, especially arriving at a late time in the evening (water, coffee..). Despite very close to the station, the flat is well soundproofed; clean, spacious, and super bright. I know where to stay the next time I'll be in Stuttgart. Thank you.

  • Nice clean apartment and Micha was very helpful and quick to reply to any questions. Would highly recommend.

  • Hany’s place was a clean, well sized apartment that was close to public transportation in Stuttgart. Although Hany was not available to let us into his apartment, he had a friend meet us to give us the keys. We managed to explore Stuttgart relatively well in the two days we were there. I’m not entirely sure where the city centre of Stuttgart is, but Hany’s place is very close to a train station and it is incredibly easy to get to wherever you want to be in the city. My only place for improvement for this apartment would be that we could only find one bath towel and that the shower area is not well lit. We were only staying 2 nights, so I ended up using a hand towel for my showers. Had it been a longer stay, it would have been more of an issue, but for a short stay, it wasn’t the end of the world.

    Kimberly2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is really well located and easy to find. It had all the basics and we had a great time in Stuttgart!

    Adrian2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The apparent is very spacious in a quiet area of town. It is quite far from tourist areas but there is an U-bahn stop very close by.

    Thomas2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment. Perfect location for what we needed. Very clean and Hany was quick to respond to messages. I'd stay here again if I came back to Stuttgart.

Welcome to our lovely little flat in the heart of Stuttgart. Warmly furnished with a comfortable, quality bed - you will feel at home in our charming studio for two, which is quietly situated amidst a host of conveniences and cultural attractions.
Our apartment is quietly located close to the city centre. Cozy and bright, with a comfortable, double bed tucked into a seminook in the corner of an open living space, the flat has a fully equipped kitchen and a simple bathroom with a shower. The Royal Schloßgarten Park (an extensive public green space) and the UBahn (Underground) are 5 minutes away. The Central Train Station, Königstraße (The Pedestrian Shopping Mile), Restaurants, Clubs, Museums, Galleries, (Movie) Theatres and the Opera are all within 15 minutes’ walking distance.
The apartment is situated on a typical Stuttgart hillside enclave which is accessible on foot via centuries old, stone staircases called ‘Stäffele’ in the local dialect.
  • Markus was very fast to communicate, check-in was very welcoming, and everything superbly cozy. ready to move-in there! best place in Stuttgart. do it!

    Hodge2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Markus' apartment was very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, close to Hauptbahnhof and many points of interest. The neighborhood felt pretty safe walking home in the evening by myself and quiet at night. Markus was flexible and even accommodated me when I ask for an earlier check-in time the morning of. I really enjoyed staying at this place. :)

    Grace2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus apartment was exactly as described, cosy and comfortable. For sure one top choice for anyone who wants to travel with good commodity and added value.

    Levi2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here! It was a little tricky to get my heavy suitcase on foot up the hills and stairs, maybe a taxi might have been better, but I made it and really appreciated the quietness of the neighborhood. Markus was very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

    Jennifer2017-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Markus's apartment is great! There you can find everything you need. Located just in a few minutes from the main station and central street. Thank you, Markus and Saskja!

    Elizaveta2017-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Markus was very accomodating and professional. We met with him at the time we specified where he greeted us and showed us the apartment. He spoke English very well and provided a lot of helpful information about Stuttgart and the property. The apartment was very comfortable and and very clean. It possessed a very homely character that made us want to move in and live at the apartment. Upon check out I accidentally left some clothes at the apartment, Markus was very kind to hold onto my things until I could arrange for someone to pick up my clothes. Markus' friendly demeanour and professional conduct, took him from being a responsible and honest landlord, to a reliable and trustworthy friend. Definitely will stay again!

    Richie2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is close to the center, just 15min walking distance from central station. Bus stop is very close. It is small but you have everything you need. Excellent quality/price option. Host is muck kind and quick in responses.

    Olena2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Markus’s apartment is a modest place in a quiet neighborhood. It has all the basic necessities and was easy to get to the metro and downtown Stuttgart. That said, follow his instructions to get to the apartment. We followed our GPS and ended up having to climb quiet a few stairs with our luggage to get to the apartment. Markus was there to meet us and even had the apartment ready early for us. The layout is small but it was enough space for the two of us to be comfortable.

Hi my Name is Manu, I travel alot and hence I am providing my apartment (located on ground floor/mezzanine) to beautiful people who would like to - Enjoy the best of Stuttgart (Walk to CBD about 10-15min.) - A romantic weekend in the city - Explore the Christmas Markets (Walk to markets about 15 min.) - Stay for a Business Trip - Explore the Cannstatter Volksfest (smaller version of Oktoberfest) Please read the House Manual thoroughly when you have booked your stay.
This apartment is located in Stuttgarts - South (Süd) in the so called Heusteigviertel (Heusteigaquarter) which also used to be called Lehen Viertel. Apparently these days, this area is very popular with artists and free spirited folks. There is plenty of cafe's, grocery, bakery and many other little shops just in walking distance from the apartment. Just literally a stone throw away across the road is the beautiful Herbert's Cafe, which features Stuttgart's oldest coffee machine (a must check out) + the coffee's are impressively well made - for German standards.
  • We were very pleased with this flat which was located perfectly for our needs! Huge, spacious and clean, the apartment was bigger than we expected and the bathroom was a particular joy, especially as we got to use the sauna one evening after a day of shopping! Decent wifi and a huge TV meant we spent our time comfortably. We visited the nearby Cafe Herbert's twice. Amazing coffee, wine selections and breakfasts! Thanks to Mannie for making our visit so enjoyable.

  • I've stayed in so many airbnbs for the past 3 years and this by far has been one of the best. I took my time in finding a place and not having been to Stuttgart before, I wasn't sure of what to look for. I'm so happy I chose Manu's place. It was a great location close to public transport, walking distance to fantastic restaurants and shops, and very quiet. There's also a great cafe nearby as well as a tea shop and I found everyone in the neighborhood very friendly and welcoming. Manu was a great communicator pre- my arrival as well as during. When he wasn't available, Patricia was and she was fantastic. I had everything I needed and then some. The apartment was very clean and I found it the perfect place to rest after having travelled 32 hours to get there. The apartment could work for a solo traveler, a couple, or a few friends as there are different possibilities for sleeping arrangements. The apartment is huge and there are even 2 bathrooms. Also as a single traveler I felt very safe there. I also got to know Manu when he came back into town and he's warm, friendly, interesting, and authentic. You're in good hands at Manu's place! Definitely when I'm back in town I'll be staying there if available. And for those of you who need good wifi - it worked great. I found the entire experience a great value.

I'm looking forward to offer you a nice, uncomplicated and cozy stay in Stuttgart. If this room, is not available check my profile. I'm renting two rooms in my flat.
I would love to host you. The energy in the flat is really pure. Perfekt to arrive, calm down, be. The whole apartment is very clean & cozy.
5 min by foot you have everything you need: - supermarkets - bars - restaurants - bakery - bank - public transport - gelateria - ... 10 min by foot there's an oasis called Karlshöhe where you have a great view of stuttgart (biergarten & quiet zones also)
  • The area is simple to reach. I was sleeping well, there are no noises in the night. It was clean. It was possible, working during the day, having the room for me, for my stay, from the evening. I could organize me in an indipendent way, when I had necessities of information on the City, Helga was kind helping me, too. Thanks.

  • Easy to reach from U-bahn--just walk across Marienplatz, up three flights of stairs and downs the block. The room is as pictured--full of interesting knick-knacks and plants. Close to grocery store, bakeries. The bed is a sleeping couch. Helga was a good host with high standards. She let me do laundry there, which I appreciated.

  • Staying at Helgas place has been an amazing experience. She's been a very kind and hospitable host. The apartment is located 1 km from the Stuttgart centre. S - bahn/underground and shops of daily needs are attainable foot on heat. A quiet house and nice neighbors. The apartment has a West-facing balcony.
The apartment has a large living room with a large softness couch, tv and Wlan and a small separate bed recess and a small dining area. A small bathroom with a bathtub and a day light window. The kitchen is separately and has everything you need. The apartment has a small but sunny west-facing balcony.
It’s a quiet area but nevertheless inner-city. Most of the interesting sights are in walking distance. The Area of Stuttgart West convince of lovely old houses/archicture and own charme.
  • The apartment is located on a quiet street. To the central square 20-25 minutes on foot. The apartment is very clean and stylish. The apartment has everything you need for life. This apartment is rented not by an agency, but by a person, therefore all personal stuff of the owner are there. Laura at first seemed rather pleasant and open, but after our departure she wrote that we had to clean the bathroom and sink before our departure. It seems strange to me because she takes money separately for cleaning.

  • Grit is a great host. There are so many little touches that make you feel very welcome in her home. The room is big and has everything you need, including a good desk, a comfortable bed and space to stretch out and leave your things. The location, off a pedestrianised street in the middle of a Bad Canstatt, is perfect. There are shops, bars and restaurants nearby, plus U-bahn and S-bahn transport to various places in the city. Grit was very quick to respond to my questions before the stay and very helpful when I was there. I would recommend her place to anyone.

  • I would not have believed if someone told me that I could get such a place right in the middle of Stuttgart. It right where the music plays, everything in walking distance, stylish clean super. The check in was the most sophisticated I have had so far, all you need is a phone, no keys to carry, lose or forget just your own phone. Will come back again - I am sure!

• Super cute comfortable space! Well located close to everything. Bring some noise cancelling headphones to sleep though because the bars in the square below are bumping till 4am and it is so loud.

  • What a lovely place!! It is really in the heart of Stuttgart. The place is compact and has everything a traveler would need. The hosts provide extra towels and toiletries. It is right upstairs from many cute bars and restaurants. Due to this, it is loud at night but the windows block out a lot of sound and ear plugs were provided (hosts also described this as being noisy). If you want to visit downtown, this is the place to book! It is also a short 6 minute walk to the S-Bahn or U-bahn and a 20 minute walk to Stuttgart Hbf. I highly recommend and would gladly come back!

    Carmen2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sebastian’s apartment was a perfect place to stay in Stuttgart. Location was perfect-lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars to walk to, and very close to the S/U bahn. Really easy keyless check in, and the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs (the bars nearby were open a bit later than I’m used to staying up, so this came in handy!) Would definitely stay again!

  • Great location in in the city centre. Convenient electronic access to the apartment.

  • Sebastian’s place was very nice and clean. The pictures in his profile are accurate. The location was super convenient and had a lot of restaurants near us. Was easy to get a hold of Sebastian when we had any questions. Overall, a great place to stay.

Jorge is an amazing person that in just two nights of hosting, he turned in a good friend. When I left, had the feeling of staying longer. I totally recommend this room. Thank you Jorge.

  • The best choice! The apartment is clean, in a quiet district, 5 minute walk from the center, close to subway station. Yohanes is very kind. I didn't like Stuttgart, other towns in Germany are more interesting, but if you need a flat here, choose Yohanes'home. 5 stars deserved!!!

  • We enjoyed our (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication concerning arrival was good and Suzana was very accommodating to some timing issues that we had. The apartment is at the top of several flights of steps, but as the week went on, we got used to it. There are many large windows which makes that apartment very light and provides beautiful views of the surrounding area. We found everything that we needed in the apartment, and were very grateful for the washer and dryer. It was easy to get to public transportation with a bus stop within a few blocks of the apartment and an U-bahn station a few blocks farther away than the bus. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. After the initial contact, we did not see or hear from Suzana or Nick, but did feel that if we needed them for something that they would be very responsive. The main downside was that was only one key and a second key would have been very useful so that my husband and I could go in different directions as needed. We would stay here again.

    Darcy2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanna and Nick’s apartment in the attic is lovely, nicely decorated and furnished. The view from the windows over Stuttgart’s gorgeous hills is most certainly a big plus! However, this means climbing 90 odd steps before finally reaching that cute eagle’s nest on top of the house! Communication was not easy with our hosts. Every time I asked a question, I had the impression of bothering them. When I asked for more toilet paper, Nick’s answer was to tell me to go and buy some myself in a nearby shop. A rather curt answer.

    Jacques2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The apt was clean, cozy and provided a lovely stay over New Years weekend. We were very happy with the well-stocked kitchen, as restaurants were closed on New Years Day. Nick and Suzana were very responsive to our questions and flexible with check-in. Definitely recommend.

    Anastasia2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is exactly an accommodation that is "home away from home". It's perfect if you are on a relax holiday mood.

    Rejab2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wow... what a beautiful gem this unit is. Suzana’s little corner of Stuttgart is amazing. It’s fitted out with everything you need, in a perfect size that’s cosy and comfortable. The views from the windows are outstanding and you’d be hard pushed to find a better location. You can walk to the centre of town if you like (just over 2km). Grocery shop is a short stroll and there are restaurants close by if you don’t want to cook for yourself in the fully fitted out kitchen. We can not recommend this stay enough. Thank you John and Birgit

    John2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Suzana, the place was beautiful, it was easy to find and close to public transportation. If the weather is good you can easily walk to the big attractions. The apartment has a great view and everything to make it feel like home. Great for a short trip as well as a longer stay.

    Kristina2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect for a longer stay, having everything, even washing machine and dryer. The area was quiet but very close to transports and city center and had a beautiful view over the hills. Very comfortable and practical and well decorated. Had a great time :)

Meine Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, dennoch in ruhiger Lage.
Lovely, spacious room near the city centre A large room with a comfortable sofa for two people. Linen and towels are provided and included in the price. Free WLAN connection possible on request. A kitchen, bath, toilet and balcony are available to share. On the ground floor there is a corner shop with a surprisingly wide selection of goods. So you can get freshly-baked bread just downstairs! There are supermarkets and bakeries within easy walking distance. Everything else can be found in the city centre, which you can reach in no time at all. Excellent travel connections and great public transport! S-Bahn (fast commuter train): Lines S4, S5 and S6, "Nordbahnhof" stop. Only one stop away from the main train station ("Hauptbahnhof") and two stops away from the city centre ("Stadtmitte"). U-Bahn (subway): Line 12 to the "Nordbahnhof" stop. Lines 6 and 7 to "Löwentorbrücke". Bus: Lines 55 and 56 to the "Nordbahnhof" stop. Night bus: N3 to "Löwentorbrücke". You can find more information here: (Website hidden by Airbnb) The Rosenstein Park, the Museum of Natural History and the Wilhelma Zoo are right across the road. Although the flat is very close to the city centre, there are also excellent opportunities to relax in the park or to wander around the vineyards in the neighbouring hills.

Thanks Tilman for hosting us!

  • Tilman met me at the top of the stairs with a big smile and welcome. The room is huge and spotless. The spotless and modern toilet/powder room is right across the hall and the clean shower is around the corner- very convenient. I can't really comment on the neighborhood- it seemed safe. I came back every night after midnight with no issues. I was visiting a friend and it was very convenient to the center of town and the beer festival.

  • Really nice flat, view from the balcony was excellent looking over the whole city. Really easy to get around the city from, one stop from the beer festival and two from the main station. Flat was comfortable and plenty of room for the three of us who stayed, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away. Jenny was very friendly, pointed out nearby places and answering any questions we had.
