“Mount Yasur is a stratovolcano that has been erupting near continuously for 3 years usually several times an hour. Amazingly this is a volcano you can usually approach safely to give you a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to experience an active volcano. The surrounding moonscape around the vicinity of Mount Yasur is nearly as captivating. A more expensive excursion as it is run by a state tour company called Yasur. But it is impossible to miss. The cost is includes collection from the village, return transfers (it takes over 1.5 hours one way), tour guide, lunch and the entrance fee. Ask for price as it changes and we don't want to give the wrong price.”

Words can't properly describe this experience, it feels like you get a glimpse into their living culture. A contribution of 1000 Vatu ($A12) helps with community needs. The community will regroup during the day and teach you the dances - prepare to get your dancing skirt on! A contribution of 1000 Vatu ($A12) helps with community needs.”
