  • Bruna and Andrew's cozy barn in Tivoli is a wonderful place to hunker down!

    Christopher2020-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bruna and Andrew's spot is quite special - perfectly situated on the edge of a river with a beautiful slice of nature out back and yet right in the heart of Tivoli. The vibe is just right here - great open communal cooking and dining space with incredible wood burning stove, multiple outdoor fire pits, and cozy and thoughtful touches throughout the barn. We were in such need of a retreat and some space and felt more relaxed here than we have in weeks. Highly recommend!

  • Bruna and Andrew’s Barn at Tivoli is a special place that offers comfort and calm and is just a short walk to town. It’s the perfect escape from NYC and just right for those needing a little extra quiet.

    Christopher2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn is a special place, curated with unique touches that add a bit of extra magic to an already lovely get away from the city. The platform out back where you can listen to the stream was a perfect place for moments of stillness. Bruna and Andrew are thoughtful, kind, and responsive -- they were wonderful hosts at every moment. No detail is overlooked. I very much hope to have the pleasure of staying at The Barn again.

  • Can’t rave enough about this barn ✨

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The coziest cabin for our late winter stay. Wonderful to deal with Bruna and such a perfect spot for our group of 4. Highly recommend a visit here!!

    Kris2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bruna & Andrew’s place was beyond amazing. I’m your typical stressed out New Yorker and this barn helped me relax and unwind. It was immaculate. Better than the pictures. Beautifully decorated. Biggest surprise was how comfortable the beds were. I slept better than I have in quite a while. We’re a group of close friends and loved the openness of the space. Just enough privacy for sleeping. Sitting around the cast iron stove drinking wine made our weekend. We enjoyed dinner in the barn the first night and had everything we needed to cook. The town is just up the road (walked there daily) and you’ll find great restaurants and a friendly wine shop. We can’t wait to come back to the barn in Tivoli so we can enjoy the outdoor fire pit and shower. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for everything!

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My 4 year old daughters review Tivoli has the cutest pillow in the universe. It also has the most fun swinging chairs and a wonderful piano (piano hats included). The loft has an incredible vantage point. Thank you Tivoli, don't forget ravioli.

Bonner Lodge is our secret little hideaway (well, not that little at 2,500 square feet) in the Hudson Valley/Catskills area of upstate New York. We first learned of this former Girl Scout Camp lodge through friends who purchased and renovated a portion of the original camp next door as their weekend getaway. An architect and designer from New York City, these friends had us up to their unbelievably stylish "camp" and we fell in love--not only with their preppy-chic Girl Scout cabins, lawn parties, and design aesthetic, but also the Town of Catskill, the mountains, the ski resorts, the local produce stand--all of it! It was such a magical escape from the fast-paced-pound-the-pavement life that we lead back in the city. So, when we found out that the original camp lodge, that housed all the girls' (and boys from the nearby brother camp) church services and stage performances was up for sale, we knew we had to buy it. And who better to renovate the lodge and bring it into a modern day structure? The architect and the designer. And a year and half later, Bonner Lodge, with it's magnificent stone fireplace, is a warm, 3 bedroom log cabin, with 2 full bathrooms, a spacious and stylish kitchen, a very large, open main living + dining room, and covered porch for alfresco dining or sunset cocktails. We have listed several pictures for you to get a sense of Bonner Lodge and our personal style. But Adirondack, Mid Century, Modern, Warm, Comfortable--all fit the feel and style of the lodge. A few highlights: Kitchen -- fully stocked chef's kitchen with ALL your needs (and if something is needed or missing, please let us know) Bedrooms -- each bedroom (2 queen + 1 twin) has two sets of linens + great light; the 2 queen bedrooms have A/C units for the summer months and brand new high quality mattresses, the twin has a window and fan and pulls AC from the main room when door kept open. Window Seat -- custom built down cushions provide an unbelievably cozy relaxation spot and serves as two extra "twin" mattresses for spillover sleeping (kids LOVE this nook) Fireplace -- the focal point of the lodge and our personal fav Guest Bathroom -- boasts a brand new rain shower + all new fixtures and a gorgeous skylight Master Bathroom -- also brand new fixtures + a Japanese inspired tub with a shower and a window that gives a sense of taking a shower outside Washer + Dryer -- in the back hallway for you to use during your stay Dining Room -- open to the Main Living Room, it seats 16 Outdoor Grill -- please bring up charcoal/lighter fluid etc Bonner Lodge is a place to relax, cook, and spend time with family and friends. Playing board games, relaxing by the fire after a day at the nearby ski resorts, or cooking a Thanksgiving meal is what the property is made for. It also provides a wonderful home base to explore the gorgeous and historic Catskill Mountain Region--hikes, trails, creeks, waterfalls, ski resorts. Perfect for an artist or writer or outdoor sports enthusiast or nature lover or a family with kids. There are a few AMAZING towns all within 10 to 20 minutes of Bonner: 1. Saugerties -- huge 24 hour grocery store, home to HIT Horse shows, high end hotel for spill over family, fun local bars with great burgers and beer, movie house, the local gym, cute stores and one of my fav restaurants Miss Lucy's, with it's perfect Blood Orange Margarita 2. Woodstock -- yes, THE Woodstock. Quaint artist town with amazing eateries and festivals and music and antiquing 3. Hudson -- high end shopping, great food, gourmet grocer, the perfect wine & cheese shop, art galleries, beautiful antique stores, an Amtrak station, a great "have an evening on the town" town 4. Catskill -- another 24 hour grocery store, 24 hour diner (our breakfast go-to), Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, CVS: all things needed for modern civilization; also an historic downtown area with cuteness abounding Bonner Lodge is about 1 hour and 40 minutes from New York City. 40 minutes from Albany. An easy and cheap Amtrak ride from Boston or New York CIty. A few things we'd like for you to know: We have two cabins out back of the lodge. They are currently being used as storage for us and they are certainly not renovated or habitable, but they are there and can be seen and we want you to know that. One day soon, we will paint, and update, and get them ready for a ping-pong table and extra sleeping cabins. We are just not there yet. We love this lodge immensely. Although new homeowners, along with our family and friends, we have enjoyed wonderful weeks and holidays here. We want the same unique experience for you as well. Bonner Lodge loves to be lived in. I'm sure you have tons of questions, and we have more info to give those interested in booking. Let the process begin. And welcome to Bonner Lodge. P.S. If our lodge is booked, OR, if you have a huge group or family and need BOTH places, please check out our good friend Kevin's place next door. It's got amazing style and great light. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1688089

  • Christopher and Geoffrey’s lodge is the best Airbnb. It is so gorgeous. The photos do not do it justice. The land around it is beautiful. It is located on a gorgeous forested street around the bend from a waterfall. The bedrooms are like sets from a Wes Anderson film. So adorable. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted for professional chefs. Stunning art on the walls. I just can’t rave about this place enough. And, finally, Christopher and Geoffrey are so lovely, so responsive, responsible and kind. This place is a gem. Thank you, C & G.

    Kirsten2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Let me preface this by saying that I’ve visited 30+ countries and stayed in some of the best hotels in the world. Few, if any, compare to the hospitality, charm, and decor that we saw with Christopher and Geoffrey’s place. From the moment we booked, they were in touch and making sure our stay was perfect. As for the house itself— truly one of a kind and outstanding. It was spotless, well decorated, and filled with the most wonderful personal touches— it belongs in architectural digest. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’d need, the beds and bedding are plush and luxurious, and the finishes are outstanding. Good or bad, I have an extremely critical eye when it comes to accommodations... However, this stay was beyond reproach— absolutely perfect in every way. We cannot wait to be back. To our wonderful hosts: thank you for creating this wonderful space and for rescuing us from the madness of NYC at a moment’s notice. Other AirBnB hosts would be wise to take a page from your book! xx Jackson, Michael, and Annabel.

  • Stay at this place! If you are considering other places, don’t. You’re work is done. Book this one! I can’t really describe how lovely the experience of staying in Christopher and Geoffrey’s home was. It’s magical, comforting, gorgeous, well outfitted, quirky in the most adorable way. And the hosts are so sweet and kind and available. The area is beautiful, the forest outside the windows dramatic and beautiful even on a gray day. One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you!!!

    Kirsten2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing house. Huge great room is beautiful during day with sun streaming in through windows and skylights, and equally beautiful at night with all of the well-designed, soft lighting and massive fireplace. The property is equally lovely.

    Mark2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This may be the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Christopher and Geoffrey were so thoughtful, quick to respond and accommodating. They turned lights on and made it cozy for our arrival, had wonderful touches everywhere that we enjoyed. It’s the coziest house and we stayed with our kids and dog and felt the perfect balance of stylish and comfortable. They have everything you could need and it’s an easy drive to Hudson, Hunter, and Woodstock. Thank you so much!! We will be back for sure!

    Heather2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • You know that super chic home of your dreams in the Catskills? This is it. The home was even more stunning than the pictures and an amazing retreat for a weekend away from the city. The decor is beautiful, the house is fully stocked and pristine and Christopher and Geoffrey are excellent and responsive hosts. They've truly thought of everything and are beyond welcoming. Our best rental thus far. We can't wait to come back again!

    Megan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite AirBNB I’ve stayed at. It’s an awesome cabin in the woods with a huge fireplace, great cookware, lots of good books, beautiful design, comfortable furniture and many thoughtful touches. It is a private and peaceful place to sneak away for a few days. I wished I’d had more time to explore the area and check out more of Christopher and Geoffrey’s recommendations but the places we did go to were great. Also their housekeeper does an amazing job to keep the place very clean and comfortable.

    Karen2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time back to this beautiful home and it was even more lovely than I remembered. There were a few new designs updates that were gorgeous. The home is truly out of the pages of Elle Decor. We had every amenity we could possibly need. The space was spotless when we arrived and Christopher and Geoffrey were such fabulous hosts. They take great care to leave the most amazing and thoughtfully curated itinerary that we followed to a tee, not to mention, very clear instructions on anything we would need for the home. Several friends of mine are booking follow up stays and I will be as well. I highly, highly recommend this beautiful upstate retreat :)

  • We stayed for three nights in March and already cannot wait to come back! The cabin was even better in person than in the photos. We enjoyed cozy nights by the fire and had the best sleeps in the VERY comfortable bed. The hosts were communicative and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. The little touches in the house (hammock, organic coffee, soft bed linens) made for a great stay.

    Kaili2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect for a cozy winter weekend getaway for my husband and our infant son. We enjoyed warm nights in front of the wood burning stove and making meals in the open kitchen. All the details are comfortable and considered, the hosts are gracious and responsive. Appreciate the proximity to the heart of Tivoli, and neighboring towns.

    Cynthia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • One of the nicest AirBNBs I've stayed in. More beautiful than the pictures communicate. Very cozy. Great grounds to wander with a lake and river behind the house. Close to town with shops to browse and things to eat.

    Scott2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cool place. The wood burning stove is awesome. The outdoor fire pit near the stream is also another fun little adventure. The town is very close. Easy walk to the restaurant or bar. Be aware in the winter many places are not open or have strange days they are open. The bed is AMAZING comfortable. I’m 6’2, 200lbs and slept like a baby. Being so close to town and the road you can hear cars, but it’s not many... All in all great place, great location

    James2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for a long winter weekend! Super cozy with the wood stove and comfy furniture, and really convenient to Tivoli and other activities.

    Michael2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing and cozy cottage. Walking distance to the village of tivoli, but yet, immersed in nature! Make sure to go to the General store in Tivoli, they have the best selection!

Our converted shipping container cabin has a wood stove, sofa bed, kitchenette, writing desk, record player, patio, fire ring, yoga platform, 30-foot waterfall and a hammock. It is pet-friendly, off-grid, with solar power, a compost toilet and gravity-feed water. It sits on 20 acres and is two hours north of NYC. You can hike the Catskills out the back door or get to a trailhead, Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, Catskill or the Hudson River in 15 minutes.
We love weekending in our 20-foot shipping container. It is not like living in a house or a hotel room or a glamping tent. It is like camping, except that you are encased in high-efficiency insulated walls and low-energy windows—and sleeping on a comfortable queen-size (Ikea Friheten) sofa bed. If it's cold outside (with the stove it's always warm inside) we usually leave the bed out and lounge around drinking coffee. If it's warm, we leave the double doors open and lounge around the patio. (Lots of lounging...) The sink in the cabin is slate. The two-burner propane stove is Eureka. There is no refrigerator; there is a cooler for your ice and perishables. There are enough pots/pans/basics to cook whatever you want. (Yes, we have a coffee grinder.) There is a grill over the fire and a Dutch oven, and we often cook there. The wood stove is Swedish and stays warm all night if you know how to build a fire. If you don't, you'll be up at 4am lighting it again. (We leave you Fatwood firestarter to make it a bit easier.) In the summer, a breeze off the 3,100-foot mountain behind us keeps the container cool, and the sound of the waterfall will put you to sleep. Staying in the cabin is an experience, not a simple overnight. There is something very special about it and this property. On a 20-degree night in the middle of a blizzard, it is 80 degrees and silent inside. Four guests have gotten engaged here. (All said "yes!") Another guest chopped his bundle of wood into 1,000 toothpick-sized pieces thinking that the fire would burn longer and hotter that way. It does not, and he was cold. And he left a glowing review of what he said was one of his best weekends away ever. There is a 30-foot waterfall 300 feet away. A beautiful stream the same distance down the hill, and a 20-foot tall bluestone ridge encasing the cabin. The hammock is perfect for reading and sleeping. The horseshoe pit is fun as hell; the record player is the bomb. This place was built for two. Or two and an infant. Larger groups can inquire about a new 40-foot container that we just finished. Send a note if you are interested or see the other listing. The cabin is cleaned immaculately after every stay, now using CDC standards. Cleaning supplies are also left for guests; we ask them to wipe down surfaces and bag linens before leaving. The cabin is set on a truly gorgeous 20-acre plot on the eastern edge of the Catskill Mountains. Our backyard is the flank of a 3,100-foot mountain. It feels a bit like Maine, or Alaska, with walking trails all over. You can't see any neighbors from our property, but there are neighbors, great ones. (Please be courteous and respectful to them.) We are on the side of Overlook Mountain and have tons of wildlife on the property. (Listen for the owls at night!) All guests are left with potable drinking water. Use the foot pump and you have running water. There are touch-activated LED lights in the house. There is not a lot of storage space in the container, so we usually pack light and leave the bulk of our stuff in the car, parking is 10 feet away. Just bring in the essentials, keep the place orderly and it's more comfortable. No smoking inside, plenty of room to smoke around the campfire outside... There are two solar panels and an inverter with two outlets for charging phones, etc. It's not enough juice to run a hairdryer, but plenty for your phones—and the record player! Cell service is pretty good across the property, but the steel walls of the container make it not so good in some spots indoors. (Put your phone by the window and use a headset.) The new 40-foot container is set on the opposite side of the property. The driveway divides the two and and each are completely private. (We designed it that way.) Saugerties is a gem. Miss Lucy's (dinner), The Dutch (drinks), Circle W General Store (breakfast/lunch) Love Bites (breakfast) and Diamond Mills (fancy!). Walking to the lighthouse is a must, as is hiking to Kaaterskill Falls, Huckleberry Point and North and South Lakes. Hunter Mountain is also 30 minutes away. Food shopping and farm stands are 10-15 min away.
We are 15 minutes from Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, Catskill and the Hudson River. We are about 500 yards from Kaaterskill Wild Forest and Overlook Mountain. West Saugerties is rural, full of farms, horse properties and the 3,400-foot peaks of the eastern Catskills.
  • Great place! Loved the close waterfall that you could hear as you fall asleep and all the stars that you could see through the trees. I would recommend this stay to anyone as long as you can handle ruffing it for a few days. Great escape for sure!

    Nathaniel2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The container cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is truly off the grid, in a beautiful location, and a fantastic place to unwind and disconnect. We both love to backpack and camp, so it was a joy to experience an upgraded "camping" experience. We loved being off the grid, and both the wood stove and the fire pit were highlights of our stay. Porter also let us use the hot tub, which is no longer a part of the Airbnb listing, which was great after a long day of hiking. We'll definitely be back!

    Kate2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A weekend at the cabin is a great way to hit reset. Bring enough food and firewood and you'll never have to leave the cabin if it's cold out. My husband and I read books, listened to records and visited the waterfall, a short walk away. It was great. The cabin has everything you need to cook your meals. Porter was extremely clear in his description and communications about what to expect and was easy to communicate with. I'm really happy with our stay and had a great experience.

    Silvia2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Porter's cabin was such an amazing experience! The cabin was ready and tidy upon arrival, and Porter definitely thought of everything! There's utensils, bowls, cups, games, survival books, charging ports, extra lights - everything you could need. There was also a BB gun so we set up paper plate targets (lol) and had a blast! The waterfall is very close to the container and the entire back yard is great for exploring. We walked the property and didn't even feel it necessary to hike at any other locations. The container is small, yes, but that's the point! We still felt it was plenty of room for two and it was EXTREMELY cozy. You'll definitely need to have basic skills - cooking on an open fire, burning wood using a wood stove, etc. And if you think ahead and bring all you need you won't even have to head back to town (we didn't). All in all, we had one of the best trips we've had together. It was great to disconnect a bit and just enjoy the surroundings. We would highly recommend this BNB to everyone!

  • We had an amazing weekend! This cabin is in a beautiful location with privacy and wildlife. We dined at Love Bites and Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in the town of Saugerties about 15mins away and walked to a bookstore known as Inquiring Mind Bookstore and Cafe. We traveled 30mins to Overlook Mountain for a breathtaking view and a fun exploration of an abandoned hotel on the trail! The container cabin is surrounded by many acres that included a waterfall if you’re looking to explore the property. We sat in the hammock and a deer crossed our path, we also saw a crane splashing in the water close to the cabin, and much more. It was a beautiful weekend at Porter’s Place and the hosts were more than accommodating. We will definitely be back!

  • Porter’s place is amazing. For those in need of indoor plumbing, note that this does not fit the bill. But for those looking to get away from city life and take on something a bit more rugged, this place is perfection. It has small luxuries in all the right places, and for a weekend getaway my partner and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We fell in love with it starting with the hammock and wood burning stove and continuing right on to the fire pit and nearby waterfall. For a remote spot in the woods, this place has everything one needs to rest and recharge.

  • Location, location, location. You can't beat it. So wonderful.

    Geoffrey2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place. Really relaxing and isolated. It is a bit lived in but it didn't diminish my experience on bit. Awesome record collection, too. There is everything from Thelonious Monk to Pink Floyd. Would go back again anytime.

  • This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Sherri’s place was cozy, comfortable & filled with charm. Situated right in town so restaurants & bars were within walking distance. We especially liked Love Bites Cafe....delicious breakfast & friendly staff. Overall, we had a nice relaxing weekend....thanks Sherri!

    Louise2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway. The place has so much style and is right in the center of town. Sherri responds quickly too. This was our second time staying there. I plan on coming back every year :)

    Hannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is super cute, very clean and located in the best spot... right on the main road with all of the shops. The designated parking is super helpful. Sherri is very sweet, responsive and helpful. We had a great stay and highly recommend it!

    Erin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and cozy apartment in the center of town. And the host goes above and beyond—she even helped me jump start my car when my battery died! Can't recommend this place more. I loved the little touches of hospitality, too, like an awesome Pandora station playing on the TV with an electric fire going when I walked in the door for the first time. It was like walking into a cool hotel room...but without any of the trappings of a cool hotel. :)

    Luke2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Warehouse was a wonderful "home base" for an extended New Year holiday exploring the Hudson Valley region. A short walk from a lovely, quaint downtown and a short drive from any number of quick visits to other towns along the river or inland. The place itself is stylish and comfortable, and Sherri was always a terrifically responsive host. Thanks so much to her!

    Peter2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cutest little place in the cutest little town would definitely come again.

  • We wanted a special place to stay for one night as we explored Woodstock, Saugerties and Phoenicia. We called last minute. When we arrived the tv had nice music playing and the fireplace was warming up for us. This is a cool place with a stellar location. In the middle of it all, but private and special. Recommended for sure!

Brand new heated saltwater pool, 7' cedar hot tub (pool and hot tub available May - Sept ONLY), fire pit, ultra modern, recently built, rare four bedroom family home (sleeps 8 MAX), two full bath, geo-thermal, solar, 7 acres in Woodstock, NY near all Hudson Valley attractions, 2400 sq ft with 1,000s sq ft of decks / outdoor dining, no dogs/pets NO EXCEPTIONS. We prefer families and do NOT allow parties. No rentals longer than a week. DO NOT ASK FOR EXCEPTIONS TO ANY OF THE ABOVE. SUP #19-0508
As you drive back into the woods and first come across this beautiful home prepare to be awe-struck. I don't think you'll ever find another one quite like it. This is a virtually new home with all the bells and whistles. Winner of the 2009 American Institute of Architects design award, the house is very unique, very modern and very green. Know as a tree house, it has floor to ceiling glass and is 30' off the ground so you're in the tree canopy. This home is Net Zero and was built with very sustainable systems and practices that include Solar PV panels and Geo-thermal heat pumps for heating and hot water. Radiant heat in polished concrete floors. The house sits on a secluded 7 plus acre lot with multiple streams. Luxury finishes including walk in glass shower with glass tiles, a heated saltwater pool, fire pit and a 7' wood-fired outdoor cedar hot tub (pool and hot tub available May-Sept only no exceptions). Wide open floor plan that includes a chefs kitchen to drool over with an induction cook top and stainless steel appliances. Over 1,000 sq ft of decks surround the home. There's even a screened in solarium for out door dining. The house has 4 well appointed bedrooms and can sleep 6-8 comfortably. Physically located inside of the town of Woodstock on a road with hundreds of acres of state land nearby, including some serious mountain biking trails. We're right on the line with Saugerties and Kingston. In a few minutes you can be in eclectic little towns like Woodstock or Saugerties. So much fun to walk around there and window shop. You'll find so many fine restaurants and you just might see somebody quite famous. Skiing at Windham, Hunter or Bellayre is only 30 minutes away. This is a unique home combining the best aspects of modern amenities and country living. Absolutely no dogs. There are security cameras at the house. They are located outside near the front door and in the main dining/living area. They are not located in any private areas (bedrooms or bathrooms).
We found ourselves regularly coming to the Woodstock area in all 4 seasons. This area is full of natural, arts and cultural benefits and has such a great balance of sophistication without pretense. From the Woodstock art, movie and music festivals to the wonders of skiing or hiking in the Catskill Mountains to the HITS shows in Saugerties to the many NYC quality restaurants there is simply not another place like this.
  • Andrew’s home is insanely beautiful and the convenience factor is terrific. You feel removed from the world while not actually being far from anything at all. The weekend was a complete success.

    Lyndsey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time in this beautiful house. Adrew was very helpful.

    Noura2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The home was gorgeous, well decorated, and comfortable, the perfect location to spend a quiet New Year's Eve. While we weren't able to take advantage of any of the outdoor amenities they seemed amazing and I'm sure that booking this property in the summer would prove incredibly fun. Andrew was responsive throughout our stay, and had provided a large number of recommendations for everything we needed in the surrounding towns. As advertised, the house is fine-tuned to prevent any undue energy usage, and as such the air-conditioning/heat isn't changeable except through the opening and closing of windows and doors. If you are booking in the winter months I would suggest packing warm socks/a sweater to wear around the house if you tend to like things toastier, however I myself found it perfectly comfortable. One caveat is that after checkout the cleaning service was seemingly unable to locate some items in the kitchen that we had not lost or damaged, and also weren't able to locate an entire duvet I had explicitly left rolled up on a bed as per the checkout instructions. This lead to some back and forth in attempt to clear up the confusion, so if you do rent here I would be very particular about putting back anything that is used exactly where it was found, and ensure that it's very apparent and discoverable to avoid confusion.

    Alex2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's house is everybody's dream house! Cozy and charming. The windows in the living room are just amazing. We had a family reunion and everything was just perfect. Located into the woods, Andrew's house is close to beautiful hikings (Overlook Mountain trail, which has an amazing view once you arrived!) and Parks (we went to the Winnewaska State Park for a quick walk to the falls, very nice! Just remember to bring your own food there and be aware that you might wait a bit to enter if the parking lot are full, but not too bad). Nice restaurants (we went to RED ONION, very good food. Just few minutes away from Andrew's house) and Woodstock with its cozy restaurants is near by. We also bought very good meat at the Catskill Smoke house and enjoyed a super BBQ at home. Andrew was super responsive in all our communications! And gave us very good suggestions!

    Francesca2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • As the pictures would suggest, Andrew’s house is a serene, modern hideaway, surrounded by trees. I came for a weekend with seven friends to get away from city life, and we are very happy we did! The house is exactly as listed, and communication with Andrew was fast and easy. The one thing I will note is that the hot tub is fire-powered, and only goes up to 100 degrees. To use it, someone in your group should be comfortable with making a fire. Thank you for a lovely weekend, Andrew!

    Alaina2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a unique and beautiful home! We had an amazing weekend and would love to come back and stay again!

    Olivia2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house, great pool area and hot tub. We had a great stay at Andy’s home.

    Josh2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool house in the woods. It really feels like a tree house. Great pool and fun to have a fire pit for s’mores. Wide open kitchen/living area with comfortable furniture and amazing view. So close to charming Hudson valley towns. Property is landscaped very nicely -adds to the views. Swings and hammock were used by some in the family for an afternoon escape.

  • Amazing home. Paul was very responsive and super helpful when needed. House in an incredible space and loved his home

  • Great house. Very clean, all the rooms are large and well decorated. It was fantastic for our large group of 18. Will definitely book again.

  • Great location/house/space. Paul was a great host and very responsive.

    Ankur2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I (18 of us in total) comfortably and happily stayed at this property. We all fit at the dining room table and made full use of the spacious and beautiful kitchen. The Sonos system and fireplaces were really nice touches that added to the ambience. If you like yoga, this property has a lot of yoga mats, blocks, and weights -- it made for a fun group activity. This property also has cornhole boards and sacks! Additionally, Paul (owner) and Holly (house manager) were very responsive -- thanks for making our stay so memorable. Two points to note: 1. The upper bunk beds can only be used by really young or lightweighted kids. My cousin weighs 80-90lbs and the frame was unnervingly bending while he was laying on it. 2. The movie theater system can be finicky (we were unable to use the theater, but loved/appreciate the setup). Definitely Instagram worthy, if that matters to you.

  • What a great place for a large group. Celebrated a birthday here and everyone was swooning over the house!

  • Paul's home is stunning. The house was so spacious and filled with light, and as soon as you start driving up the driveway and see the beautiful grounds, you know you're in for something special. Even for our group of 15 there was more than enough room. Thanks for a great weekend!

This breezy and light filled apartment is the perfect spot to crash on your weekend upstate. Tivoli could not be cuter, and it is minutes from Bard College, Kingston, Hudson and Germantown. The apartment is located above our little shop, Winn's, a small boutique with clothing, and home goods. We feature many products that we sell in the shop, in the apartment, so that you can try things out, or enjoy using them just for the night!
One of the most lovely things about being in the middle of Tivoli, is that there is immediate access to some of the most beautiful natural spaces, while being walkable to amazing restaurants and adorable shops. You can walk through the Tivoli bays, or down to the Hudson river for breathtaking views, and you can also walk over to Hotel Tivoli and have an amazing cocktail while looking at an incredible art collection!
Tivoli is a small but bustling town- all of the businesses are on Broadway and are walkable from the apartment. We love Osaka, Santa Fe, and Traghaven pub when we go out with our son (he is 3), as they are very family friendly! For a romantic date, we love The Corner (the restaurant at Hotel Tivoli). In addition to Winn's, we also own the little general store in town, and it has all of the necessities, as well as bread that we bake! Murray's has amazing coffee and brunch, and there is also a cute little used bookstore, a yarn shop, and Tivoli Mercantile, which is a boutique with a gorgeous selection.
  • My husband and I had a fantastic time in Tivoli at Natalie and Kazio's apartment! We spent almost an entire week in the space, and felt right at home the sexond we walked in! The space is so cozy and comfortable, and it's perfect for a couple. The apartment had everything that we needed including: cookware, a clean refrigerator, ample towels, bed linens, there really was nothing that we needed that wasn't already in the apartment! The apartment itself is very cozy, and we spent many nights just relaxing and taking in the neighborhood around us. If you love to go on nature walks and hikes, there are many trails around the apartment that are easy drives to get to, or you can simply walk for 15 minutes down to see magnificent views of the Hudson River. And I will say that the bed in the apartment is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! We loved our stay at the apartment in Tivoli and look forward to visiting soon again.

    Zaneta2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Last time we were in Tivoli we stayed at the Hotel which is great but this time we needed more space than one room. Natalie and Kazio's place is every bit as stylish and comfortable as the Hotel (and very budget-friendly!). We really appreciated the simple touches like delicious coffee and lovely kitchen tools and bath products. The second bathroom was really nice to have when traveling with a teenager, and the beds were great (I actually chose the sofa bed because it was so comfortable!). Definitely will stay here again, and hope to stay longer!

    Nicole2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a wonderful space! The bed is SO comfortable and all of the extra details are just lovely. It's perfectly located right in town and the entire space is sparkling clean. We loved it!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at Natalie and Kazio's! You can't beat the location in Tivoli. The apartment is steps from coffee shops, restaurants and everything the charming town of Tivoli has to offer. I love this place!

    Marissa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay in a fun and quirky little town. Above Winn’s is a wonderful addition to Tivoli and really captures the spirit of the town. Clean, comfortable and cozy with lots of light and lovely furnishings. I’ll definitely be back soon.

    Christine2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an amazing option for those staying in Tivoli. The space is large, beautifully maintained, and updated with terrific decor, bed, and amenities. I’d recommend it to anyone.

    Marc2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Winn's was perfect, the place is beautiful you have everything you need. Natalie is very nice, full of recommandations to discover the towns around and very reactive.

    Julie2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time at Natalie and Kazio's beautiful home. The space was clean, cozy and had many creative touches throughout. The bed is SO comfortable, and tons of natural light in the apartment! We explored the charming town of Tivoli, would love to go back in the warmer months when more of the stores are open, some are seasonal. The pub directly across the street was great. Also loved the guidebook Natalie and Kazio provided. Would definitely go back and stay here again!

Beautiful studio apartment, lots of light, in a modern farmhouse style. Fully furnished, just renovated. Air conditioned. One and half-mile walk or mtn bike to Bard College, through the adjacent Tivoli Bays Wildlife Refuge. Includes access to shared yoga/exercise room. One mile from downtown Tivoli with great restaurants, also a lovely walk. Perfect for weekend getaways. Set at the end of a thousand foot driveway, striking, very secluded, with pasture on one side. A peaceful retreat in nature.
The studio has radiant heat, and is super cozy in the winter. There is an adjacent space to the apartment, behind a half wall, with a second double bed. This space is available if you need more than one bed, for an additional charge of $100. To book this two bed option, please visit our other Tivoli listing. The yoga room/dance studio is 900 square feet, and has a stationary bike, yoga mats and free weights. Chungin teaches dance, and occasionally will have one-on-one private lessons in the studio. We will inform guests well in advance if this will be happening on the days of a visit.
Tivoli Bays Wildlife Refuge is directly across the street. From the studio, it is a beautiful 40 minute walk to Bard's Fisher Center though the refuge-- you can trace the route on Google Maps. The town of Tivoli, just a mile away down a country road, has a fabulous coffee shop (Murray's) in a renovated church, the best sushi in the Hudson Valley (Osaka) and fine dining at the artist Bryce Martin's Hotel Tivoli (The Corner). Olanna, the museum home of Hudson River School artist Frederick Church is 15 minutes away, and the historic town of Hudson, known for its antique shops, is 20 minutes.
  • The home was so pristine when we arrived. Everything from Eban’s response time to check-in was was smooth and efficient. It is wonderfully decorated and we felt so at home there. It was also so quiet at night, we were pleasantly surprised. Very close to town, short drive to neighboring Hudson and more enjoyable than a hotel. Would definitely book again.

    John2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Eban & Chungin’s gorgeous guest house was wonderful! From the remote, peaceful location, to the specific and easy check-in information that made accessing the building seamless. Our whole weekend was spent in solitude and within a 2 minute drive from the local town. If you’re looking for a getaway, this spot is ideal; especially for a couple!

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • I wonderful stay. Peter and his wife were more than accommodating. The house is located just off of the main village so you can escape when you’re done for the night.

  • Peter and his wife are very welcoming, I have never felt so at home in any Airbnb before. Their home is beautiful, the guest quarters are very spacious and comfortable. I could not possibly recommend it more. Would definitely love to come back. Thank you so much for opening your home to me.

  • A spacious, comfortable stay and delicious muffins!

    Maureen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Wendy are wonderful, thoughtful hosts. The place is conveniently located for the town of Tivoli itself, as well as the surrounding towns and Bard College. Would recommend to anyone!

    Frances2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This ranks among my best Airbnb experiences--Peter and Wendy are genuinely kind people and natural hosts. Their place is tranquil, lovely and comfortable. Having a "suite" (private bath, bedroom and sitting room) with easy access to kitchen was really nice. The location in the charming town of Tivoli was perfect for zipping back and forth along the country roads to Bard College. Highly recommended. One note-if you are a couple, you'd need to be OK in a full bed rather than queen. The bed is super comfortable though!

    Lisa2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, clear & responsive communication. A clean, quiet, welcoming and comfortable space, hosted by a kind and easy-going family. The bedroom is quiet and comfortable, access is easy, and the amenities were great! This was the perfect stay for my working visit to the area, where I could get some rest and do some quiet study. I look forward to staying again in the future!

    Jim2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Consummate hosts. This was my second stay and all was just as clean and well taken care of as the first time. A real asset to Airbnb. Thank you, Peter!

Welcome to the end of the rainbow:) My private residence gives you a separate entrance, kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom, and laundry. My place in Tivoli will give you a feel of the country-with chickens and ducks (and fresh eggs)-while being within walking distance to restaurants, the park, and the Hudson River; and a short drive to events at Bard College, Omega-or views for leaf-peeping!! Whether for one night, or a week, I'm sure you will appreciate all the amenities this offers!
My place offers room for off-street parking for one car. I offer an entire apartment, so you can prepare meals in-or eat out. There is a washer and dryer available, and plenty of room to say inside if you choose.

  • The Champion is definitely a place worth staying. The surrounding area was stunning, especially with the leaves changing. If you really needed to, town was only ten minutes away at most, but there was everything you could have needed to stay right where you were at. If you are looking for a scenic and quiet vacation, The Champion is a must. Tod and Jeannie were exceptionally kind and helpful as well.

    Victoria2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a wonderful and very cozy space. Tod was a wonderful host, determined to make our stay great.

    Autumn2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is an economical place to stay. It is an older trailer, with a small bedroom, with a double bed, and the bed takes up most of the room. That being said, it worked out just fine for my husband and myself for a couple of nights. Its very clean and decorated in a retro, cute style. It’s located in a very pretty area, and is close to things to do in the area. Tod met us when we arrived, so the check-in was perfect. He showed us around, and pointed out things, which was very helpful. Tod’s communication before and during our stay was excellent. Plenty of coffee, tea and water was provided. Tod’s wife was nice enough to make us some tasty brownies. Shower worked great...plenty of hot water and water pressure, which is important to us. I liked the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in mounted dispensers, in the shower. We would recommend a stay there....we would stay there again.

    Anne2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and host. Highly recommended in all ways. I will definitely come back, and want to stay here the next time I am in the area, Thank you, Tod !

    Fredi2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a low-key home-base in the Saugerties area. Close to great hikes, yummy restaurants, but secluded enough to feel private. Wouldn't recommend for anyone over 6', but despite the low ceiling, the interior doesn't feel claustrophobic. Lovely decorating and very comfortable!

    Casey2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Champion is a great little spot to stay while exploring the region. Jeanne and Tod are superb hosts who provide everything you need for a nice getaway.

    Livio2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • It’s always lovely to stay at the Champion. Clean & comfortable space in beautiful surroundings, a great kitchen and not too far from Saugerties & Woodstock. But far enough to really feel like you’re in the country. I love to go to sleep listening to frogs croaking! And Tod and Jeannie are super lovely hosts ready to make your stay better. FYI if you’re in need of a wheelchair accessible space you will need to bring your own threshold ramp to enter the living space, and access to the bedroom / bathroom is only on foot.

This is our 7th and newest accommodation in a collection of unique handbuilt structures. Artist designed and constructed, this modern and reclaimed barnwood A frame is cozy and invites you to hang in bed and gaze out the scenic windows, or get out and explore the 15 acre former apple orchard. It offers a queen bed, with fresh linens, towels, clean drinking water, and a few special details. Solar lights glow inside in the evening, and the stargazing here is spectacular!
Please note that there is no electricity or running water in the A frame. We light the area with solar lighting and battery lanterns. We feature composting toilets close by (clean, cute and not smelly!), a solar shower in warmer months, a full bathroom with hot shower inside our main farmhouse available 8 am - 9 pm, as well as running cold tap water in the outdoor kitchen . You are free to roam the acres. There are several barns on the property, a wood workshop, several gathering areas with picnic tables, and a large garden. In the later part of the summer we will have food to offer from the garden. The outdoor kitchen is protected and can be used in sun or rain, it contains all of the cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, lighting, a small shared fridge, propane stove, charcoal grill and 2 shared outlets for charging devices. There are cruiser bikes to borrow (they can get to the market and back but are not good for long distance) You're welcome to come to the farmhouse with any questions, please access through the front door on the front porch. All accommodations are weather proof. Usually more fun in the sun, but rain gives reason to sip wine in the outdoor kitchen looking out or snuggle inside. We welcome dogs for an additional $20 non-refundable pet deposit, payable by cash or Venmo (laura-sink). Please be mindful of cleanliness of dogs on the linens and carpets. Any damage above normal laundering will be charged in addition.
Germantown has 1 amazing market named Otto's where you can purchase all the necessities. 1 amazing restaurant named Gaskins with farm-fresh food and great cocktails. 1 liquor store & main street offering a couple of shops to peruse. 20 minutes to Hudson (all the restaurants & shopping you could desire) 20 minutes to Rhinebeck
  • Laura’s ranch set up is quite dreamy. Crumby rainy weather aside, my partner and I were still able to enjoy the beautiful nature within. The communal vibe that they curated is pretty amazing, and had has wanting to come back in the warmer months. It also got us thinking about how amazing it would be if there we traveled back out there with a group of friends since there are other converted spots to occupy. We highly recommend the ranch. And especially recommend for others to buddy up and make it a group outing!

    Joseph2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Gatherwild Ranch was an amazing experience. We stayed in the A-frame during our stay and really enjoyed it. Despite us coming during a cold weekend they had the propane stove setup to keep us warm along with many blankets. It’s a great experience if you’re looking to try something different. The ranch is well thought out with it’s setup and all the different amenities it offers. The hosts are friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay here. Plus, they have the friendliest goats and you can’t lose with goats involved 😁

    Jonathan2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend Gatherwild Ranch enough. We spent a lovely fall weekend in the A frame and absolutely loved it. It was bigger than we expected, with a super comfy bed and plenty of blankets. The cabin came complete with a wine opener, cups, and even a little water dispenser and bowl, so you don't need to go outside to brush your teeth. The property is idyllic and is equipped with everything you need, from the charming outdoor kitchen to the (surprisingly pleasant) composting potties. Guests have access to a beautiful big bathroom in the main house, which we really appreciated, as it was a little too chilly for us to brave the outdoor showers! Gatherwild has a cozy little community vibe, but also caters to those who prefer privacy. Accommodations are spread out across the ranch, and each has its own firepit – or you can hang out by the shared firepit if that's more your speed. Laura was a friendly and gracious host who came out to greet us when we arrived – as did her goats, who are major sweeties! We're big Gatherwild fans and will definitely be back.

Two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen on the second floor of an owner occupied home in the country. Located in between Hudson, Rhinebeck, and Kingston, less than twenty minutes to each. Near the Hudson River, breweries, state parks, fine and casual dining, farms, markets, hipsters, country folk, the Catskills, ten minutes to bard college and all the things it offers through the year, near a boat launch into the Hudson...we are only two hours north of NYC and an hour south of Albany.
We just updated our existing space, (you can find that on my profile) to include a second bedroom, new beds, a fresh coat of paint, a remodeled kitchen, a record player, books and games! We now have super pimp queen and full size beds, plus access to two twin beds should they be needed. There is a separate parking area, your own entrance and exit, gardens to harvest from, (in season) with fruits, veggies and herbs. We are both in the Hudson Valley restaurant/foraging/farming business so if you need ingredients or recommendations, please ask, and if you are looking for a fine meal, plan ahead with us!
We are located within 7 minutes of several lovely dining options and quite close to the Hudson River.
  • Quaint and cozy. Idyllic and charming. Perfect spot for 2 and a pup. A quiet oasis though only 20 min drive to Hudson.

  • We loved our stay at Amy’s place! It’s in a rustic farmhouse on a beautiful road, surrounded by farms and fields. They have put a lot of nice touches into the unit, which is on the upstairs floor of the farmhouse. It’s spacious and comfortable! We would stay again!

  • We had a great stay in Germantown at Amy's. She offered great recommendations (Gaskins!) and was super friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. It's not quite an "entire home" since you're upstairs from where they live, but you have a private entrance. I would recommend for a quick getaway in the Catskills!

    Jordan2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This awesome retro, pet friendly spot was a gem! We felt cozy and cared for, lots of space and snacks/teas galore and awesome toiletries for every hair type and skin need. We especially loved the peaceful quiet in the evenings. They were wonderfully communicative and made us and our small dog right at home.

    Erika2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet place full of stylish colorful retro furniture and decor. Amy and Adam are extremely laid back and welcoming hosts with interesting backgrounds. The road is quiet, full of cornfields , barns and silos.

  • This was a great space for us to stay while we were in town for a wedding I was in at A Private Estate which is conveniently located only about 7 minutes away. Amy was quick to respond to messages and we enjoyed listening to their record player

    Anika2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The photos are what drew me in, but the space is even more beautiful in person. The layout of the space and the care in the details made the space truly feel like a home for a night. The beautiful artwork, and simple but thoughtful designs were the best in an AirBnb I’ve been to yet. The house is located on an idyllic country road with a lush garden, horses across the street, and beautiful light. Such a pleasure to stay.

  • Great tiny home cabin w much more amenities and nice touches than you would expect! Absolute pristine silence at night and stunning light of the moon! Wish it was warmer - amazing outdoor kitchen /campfire area your hosts set up for you to enjoy.

    Kelly2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great time in the space. Simple but with everything you need. Lovely area!

    Ben2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at at the Isness Tiny House was a perfect getaway for a couple of days! The place is cute and very private with a sizable wooded area off the back patio! I stayed in November and it was plenty warm (which I was scared about). Caroline provided all sorts of thoughtful touches - flashlights, electric blankets, remote to control lights from bed, water, and detailed information about the house! I would recommend to anyone passing through for a weekend getaway who is looking for a cozy place to come home to!

    Ryan2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Will definitely stay here again. Remote feeling super close to 2 great towns.

  • Cutest little spot ever

    Andrea2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful tiny house in the woods! When you pull up it is just adorable and cozy with the lights. The outhouse is very clean and well-lit. The surrounding woods are great for a walk, and the fire pit (and provided kindling) made for a wonderful night.

    Cara2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was lovely! The scenery is beautiful. The trees made it feel like a peaceful place to get away. It is for people who want to feel like they are potentially camping but with a cozy bed inside. The bathroom and sink are outside and so you have to put on shoes and clothes every time you need to use the bathroom or brush your teeth. It was cold when we went so it can get a little tedious- as long as you know that! The grill outside worked great. The campfire would have been great but it rained before we got there so we could not get any of the wood to catch. Caroline is very quick at responding and accommodated our early arrival. She even left us some chocolates as it was our anniversary! All around a great cozy stay in the woods. The heater worked great too!

A spacious garden apartment in the 19th century mansion on Hudson river. Two queen beds available, plus a comfortable sofa in the common space. Plenty of cooking space, a private entrance and a private bathroom. Suminski Innski is a B&B - there is fresh breakfast available upstairs every morning; there also a pool table, a grand piano and a jukebox, a fire pit, two outdoor patios. Join us to see beautiful sunsets from the front porch and enjoy Tivoli and the surrounding towns.
The whole house can host over +30 people, and we do not charge extra for the beds and sofas in the parlor. The whole house (except for the other bedrooms) is accessible to guests. We have a kitchen with all the amenities, a dining room, a living room and parlor, a jukebox, a wrap-around porch, back and side yards, a back patio, grill, fire pit, and hammock. The house itself is full of art from local painters and photographers. We have all sorts of instruments around the house as well, including a grand piano. Some other fun, out of the ordinary parts of the space include a painting studio in an enclosed porch, a pool table in the basement, an army-style canvas tent, and a renovated ice-chamber-now-drumming-practice-room. There are also lots of trails around and a place to put in kayaks and canoes in the river right out front!
We are located in the beautiful historic town of Tivoli with cafes, restaurants and a bar; plenty of scenic locations accessible by foot or by car. The house is walking distance (10 minutes) from the village's 9 different eateries, bars, and bakery. Tivoli is halfway between the Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations, a twenty minute drive in either direction. It's also a 7 minute drive to Bard College, 10-15 to Red Hook, 10-15 to Germantown, and 20 to Rhinebeck.

  • Tim's place is a special kind of magic, full of good vibes, fascinating details, and excellent company. We'll be back!

    Elizabeth2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved staying at Tim’s place! I stayed in the private apartment downstairs. It was cozy and just what I needed to rest and do some life planning and included a little fireplace! The house is located just across the road right along the Hudson River and is quite spacious. Tim provided breakfast for all guests in the house every morning like a b&b and was extremely hospitable. I spent time with some of the local residents and other Airbnb guests in between writing sessions in the common areas. Overall, Tim is very welcoming and very approachable. Will be visiting again! Thanks Tim!

Charming newly furnished 1 bedroom apartment with King size bed, completely equipped full kitchen and private terrace. Private entrance, stuccoed walls, exposed beams, oak counter tops, ceder lined shower and big deep tub. All linens and towels supplied. Washer/Dryer. Walking (a bit strenuous) distance to Village shops and restaurants. Breakfast is English muffins, bagels, local farm eggs, apples, orange juice, coffee. Oatmeal too. Quiet and restful space with great skiing nearby.
This guest space was created with guest comfort foremost in mind. The bed is a comfortable and roomy king. All appliances in fully equipped kitchen are new. This along with comfy living room and private terrace will make you wish you had booked more days. At least that's what many of our guests say about their stay with us. We are a short but slightly strenuous walk to Saugerties Village shops and restaurant and to the Esopus Creek and Marinas.
We have great restaurants and shops, hiking, swimming, a great book store and movie theater - all nearby. The Esopus Creek and Hudson river are nearby.
  • Staying at Steve's is by far one of the most accommodating spaces you will find. This is indeed a home away from home. Everything you left at home will be there for you. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, cozy and clean. What sealed the deal of being one of the best for my husband and I is the fact that there was no television (by design) and this gave us the opportunity to have the time away from home that we wanted.

    Stuart2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Steve’s place was amazing. He has beautifully maintained this space and it was a perfect getaway. We would love to come back and spend more time!

    Kelsey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place is really fantastic! My son and I were just passing through town on our way home from a Vermont ski trip. All I was looking for was a good and cheap hotel alternative. Steve's suite was so much more than that. Lots of thoughtful touches--like bagels, eggs, coffee, and granola bars. And lots more space--spotlessly clean--than is apparent from the photos. Super comfy bed. The barn (which Steve built) is a really cool structure. And Steve is great! Very responsive. And he gave us a fantastic and affordable dinner recommendation. Highly recommended for a short or long stay!!!

    Josh2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Steve is a wonderful host. Made sure to greet us when we arrived, gave a tour of the apartment, and made sure we knew all the restaurants and sites to visit. The apartment is very clean and cozy. Would stay again!

    Beelan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely knocking it out of the park! The pics did not do it enough justice. Steve was as lovely as his place. The hospitality was beyond expectations. There was a breakfast basket, eggs, bagels, peanut butter, cream cheese, juices in the fridge for us. I usually care most about cleanliness and this place was spotless with plenty of towels in the bathroom. A lot of cute and trendy touches all around. The location was close to a lot of restaurants, bars, shops and bookstores. I highly recommend this place!

    Christina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to stay at!

    Mark2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pristine, tasteful apartment. It is in an apartment building and near a busy street but secluded enough that it didn't bother me (and I am super sensitive to noise). Great hospitality!

    Andrea2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a short overnight trip to Hunter Mountain. The space was perfect for two of us - clean and cozy yet also roomy. Steve’s little touches, such as offering restaurant recommendations as well as stocking the fridge with breakfast food, explained to me why he is a superhost. He built the barn himself and it is an astonishing space. Would definitely return.

A cozy pet friendly cottage set on on a very private portion of the Esopus creek. If a weekend or a week or even a month of uncluttered life beacons to focus on the simpler, more important things in life, this is the space for you. Instagram @chezrivegauche
We found our calling for a getaway purely by accident wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city with our dogs. A few clicks on the website that Craig Newmark founded, we found us a nice cottage on the Esopus creek where we spent the day catching up on conversations and swimming with the dogs in between our wine therapy. At one point, we looked at each other and our happy pooches and said to each other “We should do this every weekend”. And so we did….and found “Chez Rive Gauche” a simple, warm and very inviting waterfront getaway a short 90 minute drive from NYC. So if you dream about escaping from a busy work week to relax by the water; canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, watching breathtaking sunsets and beautiful starry nights, Chez Rive Gauche is the perfect getaway and a great spot to reconnect with friends and loved ones and make new memories “Chez”, as we lovingly call it, sits on the beautiful Esopus creek and is fully furnished with global and vintage finds. This charming cottage has two bedrooms, a spacious living room and a well equipped kitchen combined with a dining room. Each of the bedrooms are outfitted with queen beds complete with organic sheets and down comforters. The mudroom leads you to the spacious outdoor deck with a dining area to enjoy views of the creek and the farm across while the sounds of the occasional train reminds you of the french countryside . Its complete with another welcoming deck right on the water plus a private dock and canoe for your exclusive enjoyment. The property is fenced in so your four legged companion will be safe but getting them away from the fun in the water is a totally different matter. While you may not want to leave the cottage and the never ending fun “creek” side, there are a number of historic towns like Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties and Rhinebeck within 10 miles to enjoy festivals, flea markets, restaurants, farmers markets, shopping and antiquing. If winter sports are your thrill of choice, Hunter Mountain and Wyndham are a short drive away. Depending on the season, this 5 miles stretch of the creek freezes solid, providing an excellent opportunity to ice fish and skate if you are up for an adventure. All of these aspects are what makes Chez Rive Gauche so unique so what are you waiting for, please contact us for information, availability or simply to say hi. Important considerations before making a reservation: Our goal is to give you an unforgettable experience, we really want you to enjoy your stay as much as we have had living here. The cottage faces the creek. The creek is deep and its something to keep in mind, when you venture into the water. The cottage is fenced on three sides (fourth being the water) there might be a gap where the fence and water meet, so if you have very curious pets, its something to consider especially if the pet is left unattended. The cottage has a septic, so please do not flush anything other than body waste and minimal tissue. I also provide organic/biodegradable shampoo, conditioner and body wash Noises - Living on the water brings about its own set of noises. Besides the ducks quacking, the fish jumping, you will also hear the train. Towards the front of the cottage runs a goods train track. The freight train passes by on occasion and there is no fixed schedule. Kids love the train and some adults say it reminds them of their childhood or a french countryside. Whatever the case maybe, goods traveling by train is good for the economy and the environment. If you think the train will disturb you during your stay, our cottage might not be the right fit for you. We live in the country and you might encounter an occasional spider, files, and other creatures to varying degrees. We do not use poison on the main level as we have pets We are dog owners and the cottage is pet friendly. If you are allergic to pets, please take this into consideration. As much as we try to get every bit of fur out, there might be some fur that skipped our broom. We also do not have a dishwasher or laundry facilities. ( a Laundromat is a five min drive away) If you are staying for more than a week, fresh linens and towels will be provided. The cottage is located on a dead end street but we do have neighbours. The cottage is within a 20 min drive to downtown Saugerties, Kingston, Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Woodstock.
We love being on the water. When we are not on the water we explore all the antique shops, farmers markets, flea markets, hiking and sometimes boating in the Hudson River. The cottage is close (20-30 min drive) to Rhinebeck, Woodstock and Kingston which is filled with activities and restaurants. The cottage is a 5 min drive to the grocery store, beer and wine stores.
  • This was our second time visiting, and as before, Letitia's home was the perfect place to relax. Our dog had so much fun roaming around in the spacious and fenced-in backyard, and we enjoyed some great hikes that were just a short drive away. There were lots of thoughtful amenities that made our stay very pleasant and comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!

    Brendan2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place! Letitia was extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. The house was cozy and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out by the fire and admiring the view of the water. I wish my dog could write a review because he had the best time of all of us.

    Kelly2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend at Letitia’s house. The place is comfortable, with nice touches and it has an amazing view of the river. We loved reading at sunset with the water just a few yards away. Our puppy enjoyed her runs in the garden and the pet-friendly house. Highly recommended for anyone willing to unplug. Also, Letitia is a very thoughtful and responsive host!

    Francesco2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Letitia's place was great. The place met all of our needs. We stayed there with our dog, so the fenced in backyard and direct access to the Esopus was great. The place is on a wider deeper stretch of the Esopus than the side that runs into the Ashokan, so I can imagine that in the summer months the river access would be great for swimming and cooling off.

    Adam2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Letitia's cottage. Her place is as beautiful as the photos and so many thoughtful touches were included. We enjoyed the occasional train sounds. Letitia is helpful and communicative and provided great recommendations about the surrounding area (including an amazing and unexpectedly lively night at Black-eyed Suzie's). Our pup enjoyed many of the great hikes in the surrounding areas. We'd love to come back in the summer!

    Ben2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Letitia was super communicative and flexible, a great host! We loved that her home was gay friendly and pet friendly. We brought our dog, who loved the toys that were provided with the house. Letitia’s expectations about how to be with a dog in the house were very clear, and she provided everything like towels, sheets for covering the couch, a floating cot for a bed, and more for the dog. The one very pleasant surprise about the house was that there was a huge bathtub! We did not see this in the ad, but we loved it as we stayed in the winter, and it was nice to soak in after a long day of skiing. The train mentioned in the ad is close, but did not bother us at all. A great place to stay!

    Shira2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, clean, great view of the creek in small cottage. The hosts are very responsive and caring. Great space for small groups up to 4 people. Relaxing and close to amazing restaurants in Saugerties. Dog friendly too!

    Ilene2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place, in a nice location. Very clean, lots of nice towels and bedding. And dog friendly!!! We used it for a weekend event in Rhinebeck and would happily book again next year. (Its about 20 minutes away from Rhinebeck).

  • Lisa & Brian's place was wonderful and just what we were hoping for. It's very tastefully and thoughtfully arranged, and feels really cozy too. Lisa & Brian also provided some great tips on the area and were very responsive to us throughout. I'd definitely recommend this home!

    Jamie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Brian's home was so comfortable, cozy and quiet -- in a beautiful part of the state. We loved our time there over New Years and would recommend it to anyone. Lisa and Brian were very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. The fireplaces are amazing and the bed SO comfortable. Also, an easy place for a young child. We very much hope to be back!

The spacious and bright studio apartment is located on Main Street literally seconds from fantastic shops, restaurants and galleries. In the summer months enjoy a private patio and shared garden. • Ciera was a great host and my family and I enjoyed her little apartment so much! It was a wonderful get away from everything going on! Would definitely come back!

  • This is such a stylish air b n b. We loved the decor and finishing touches what a dream apartment! Close to restaurants, pubs and driving distance from some food walks.

    Samantha2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I think this place is a lot better in person. It's very warm and welcoming. Meticulously clean. The town is small but I think this is a great location. The cafe next door, that's recommended in other reviews was good, Miss Lucy's restaurant around the corner was great, and Bluestone coffee down the street was great as well.

    Andrew2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean, restful oasis. Loved my stay!

    Catharine2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ciera’s place was stunningly clean and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with all things needed for cooking and there was plenty of space to do so. So many awesome spots in walking distance we barely used our car the whole time we were there. Great place to stay for a cozy winter getaway in a fun town with lots to do

    Lauren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great apartment for a weekend in Saugerties. It's extremely convenient to walk everywhere in the small downtown area, yet a little off the main streets so it's quiet and feels pleasantly secluded. It was easy to access, and very comfortable inside. Everything was sparkling clean and well-labeled so it was easy to use the shower, etc. We had no trouble parking in the nearby lot and pulled the car up closer to drop off/pick up our things. We especially enjoyed the cafe that's next door called Olsen & Company -- highly recommend for coffee or an evening snack and glass of wine.

    Marisa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ciera's place is absolutely adorable and extremely convenient if you are spending time in Saugerties. We hope to come back in the summer!

  • Cozy light filled cabin with direct access to wide open spaces, beautiful fields, old farm buildings and real sense of community. There's a gold fish pond a few steps away. This is good spot to decompress and go for walks. The farm store has whatever you might need.

  • What a charming place to stay! Greig Farm and market store is the perfect place to escape the City.

    Doug2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great mini-vaca at the Schoolhouse! Breakfast was tasty and fresh and we loved chatting with the lovely people at Greig's Farm. We got to hang out with the goats and enjoyed our stay in the area. Thanks, guys!

    Maeve2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Norman was a great host - very easy to coordinate and check in. The place is really charming on a working farm and flower growers. The studio space was a great adventure with our kiddo and we loved playing games and sleeping all in the same room. A good bonding night. Loved meeting the neighbor shop woman and her dog. Our pup loved being on the farm too. The breakfast, which was included, was at the Farm Market down the road and was really a great touch in the morning - so good. We’ll be back.

    Kirsten2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great place to stay with a dog. Beautiful wide open fields and sweet pond. It is a no frills working farm, which suited us just fine.

Welcome to this romantic 1903 carriage house overlooking falls. Sits on secluded street, yet only steps away from vibrant Saugerties village. Newly remodeled, this retreat blends modern conveniences with old-world charm & original woodwork. Board games, books & SmartTV to enhance your downtime. Admire panoramic vistas up and down the Esopus Creek. At night, crack a window and nod off to the sound of the falls. (Summer 2020: 1-week min stay due to pandemic cleaning protocols.)
Great for a romantic weekend, this home is designed for the couple who wishes to relax and reconnect in a cozy, private space. Large, upstairs sleeping loft features comfy queen-sized bed, fluffy down duvet and pillows — but limited headroom, due to pitched roof. Downstairs bathroom boasts spa-like walk-in shower. Backyard features deck, gazebo, grill and fire pit. Home features central heat and AC on both levels. Please note: We follow Airbnb‘s guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing, including paying special attention to high-touch surfaces. We also block extra time between reservations whenever possible and use CDC approved cleansers. Also, we do NOT allow pets or indoor smoking due to family members with allergies and asthma.
Stroll up the hill and you're right in the midst of a charming village, with farm-to-table restaurants, vintage clothing stores, antique shops and galleries. Private, walkable, village location.
  • Laura and Leo’s place was a godsend just when I needed a comfortable retreat. Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway or a longer stay like mine. The well appointed kitchen, cozy living room, and hug of a bedroom loft is perfect for a single person or a couple to have everything you need - and the back deck, gazebo and yard — with immediate views of the creek and waterfalls and a terrific little fire pit — was just breathtaking and relaxing. To top it all off, Laura and Leo we’re always available for any questions, of which there were few because they have simply thought of everything to make your stay great. The best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had.

  • Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!!

    Sigourney2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a cozy stay at this renovated cottage. It was very clean. Laura and Leo were always available to answer any questions. Check -in was very convenient. Would definitely recommend!

    Aman2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Charming, clean, thoughtfully appointed carriage house in a convenient, inspirational location. Laura and Leo have thought of everything we needed for our stay and made sure we were well looked after during our trip. The sloped ceilings in the loft bedroom aren't ideal for taller guests, but weren't an issue for us. A great place to stay and great hosts. Thank you!

    Avi2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Saugerties and the Catskills and a large part of that was always having this homey Airbnb to come back to. It's located on peaceful block with a beautiful view of the babbling Esopus Creek. Laura & Leo were incredibly helpful and provided us with everything we needed to have a great time. Would definitely stay again.

    Greg2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with everything you would ever need to enjoy your stay, would book again.

    Steven 2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Laura and Leo's place. It was felt private and cozy but was close to downtown.

    Matthew2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Laura and Leo were the perfect hosts! This was my second time renting out this Airbnb and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Everything was clean and well planned out for me and my friends. The scenery was absolutely stunning during all times of the day, especially in the morning. It was in a nice little quiet and peaceful location a couple of minutes from a little town with local places and stores. The place had everything we needed from a washer/dryer to cooking essentials to fun games! I will definitely continue recommending this place to more friends and family that want to plan a nice getaway. Thanks again Laura and Leo!

Adorable cabin made by artist Paul Jacobsen snuggles in a queen bed and sits in the valley of a former apple orchard at Gatherwild Ranch. Not quite a tiny home, the bathrooms and kitchen are shared amenities on the property, it's a private space with just what you need. Solar lights glow inside in the evening, and the stargazing here is spectacular! Placed on 15 acres of land to roam. Pets are welcome (See below for details).
Cozy cabin is hand built and gets lots of sunlight, but is protected and has enough space for the basics. There is a small wash basin inside, drinking water, and deck chairs with a firepit outside. The queen bed has a down comforter and extra wool blankets for cool nights.
Germantown has 1 amazing market named Otto's where you can purchase all the necessities. 1 amazing restaurant named Gaskins with farm-fresh food and great cocktails. 1 liquor store & main street offering a couple of shops to peruse. 15 minutes to Hudson (all the restaurants & shopping you could desire) 15 minutes to Red Hook
  • Laura’s property is absolutely gorgeous !

    Alana2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A thoughtful space with gorgeous views. Breweries, wineries, and hiking all a short drive away. The goats are adorable and the hosts are equal parts available to help and hands off enough to give you space to explore on your own. If you're visiting in the colder months, bring lots of layers and keep the wood stove HOT. Don't sleep on local favorites like Gaskins and Chatham winery. If you're looking for a good easy hike with great views, check out Kaaterskill. If you're looking for a more challenging hike, Indian Head is awesome.

  • Great hide out away from the city!

    Boerge2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The property is gorgeous and I never wanted to leave. Got to feed the goats in the morning, take a walk around the sites, and listen to all the animals around at night. My boyfriend and I will be booking another trip back in the near future!

    Casey2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The entire Gatherwild Ranch is a beautiful place in a lovely area. Laura was a wonderful host and I would definitely recommend staying in any of the accommodations on the property.

    Eli2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Gypsy caravan made for a unique, stunning getaway. Warm (we stayed just as fall chill had come) comfortable, and beautiful, the space has everything you need to experience the solitude and peace of camping with the comfort of home. The two trees out front offer privacy and a perfect spot for your hammock. The open air kitchen offered a great space and supplies for coffee and meals, and the ranch itself was so fun to explore. Laura checked in on us and was a delight to get to know. Germantown is peaceful but also offers great breweries, Gaskins restaurant, and Otto’s market, for all your needs. We will definitely be returning!

    Emily2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location close to several breweries, wineries, and farms. We stayed in the Gypsy Caravan which was adorable as well as surprisingly comfortable and clean. The outdoor kitchen area was perfect for easy meals. We can't wait to come back.

    Jillian2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here when we had a wedding to attend in Tivoli and we absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful setting and the gypsy caravan was so cozy and romantic. The only thing I’d say is it was a lot colder than we expected for the first weekend in October (in the 30s at night) so as there’s no heat (save for a log furnace which saved us) I would probably come back again in the warmer months. Besides that we loved everything, especially the outdoor kitchen and the baby goats! We’ll be back!

  • This guest cottage is a perfect size - just big enough to feel like you have some room and yet cozy. The kitchen is fully functional - I cooked all of my meals there on the stove top. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is roomy with a good shower and the surroundings are very peaceful, private and quiet. Clean and comfortable with an artistic aesthetic that adds a lot of appeal. Amazing book collection also available!

  • A charming, cozy and ultra clean artist inspired cabin. Central to all the best that Red Hook and Rhinebeck has to offer. It invokes the spirit of the Hudson River communities and was the perfect base camp for my house hunting.

Newly renovated one bedroom cottage on 130 acre working farm with beautiful views of the Catskill Mountains. Conveniently located on main road (9G) between Hudson and Rhinebeck. Three miles from Bard College/Fisher Center, 2 miles to Tivoli, 7 miles to Red Hook, 10 miles to Rhinebeck and 15 miles to Hudson, Woodstock is approximately 20 miles. Guests have access to grounds, we have two ponds and walking trails with gorgeous views of Catskill Mountains.
Our cottage has a full refrigerator, full kitchen with pots, pans and cooking utensils. Heated floors in the bathroom. We will provide coffee, tea, and all the essentials that go with it.
  • What an awesome, comfy house! The place was sparkling clean, brand new, and had amazing touches that made my month stay fly by. There was a fire pit, two lakes, amazing high speed internet, and of course Tivoli, Rhinebeck, and Red Hook were all very close. Jim and Sonia were sooooo accommodating and nice. Oh and there's even a friendly cat that you can play with if you want to. It's an awesome in between a rustic adventure, because the property is near lots of wilderness and has cows and such, and a really nice large hotel suite. The kitchen was appropriately stocked with pots, utensils, etc, and there was even a little welcome mini bottle of champagne and of course coffee (I don't drink coffee but I noted that it was there). The only thing people should be aware of is that this is a small home, it is not a giant house or anything but it is super clean and comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

    christopher2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing 1-night getaway 2 hrs from NYC!! Very clean/modern 1br cottage with a private driveway. Beautiful/large land with a pond, outdoor fire pit and seating. We brought our own firewood/tinder/kindling, but Sonia had prepared all of this for us next to the fire pit! Absolutely zero complaints, my fiancee and I could definitely see ourselves coming back here soon.

    Justin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sonia’s cottage was perfect. Enough room for 2 people comfortably and plenty of amenities and little personal touches that made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend her place to anyone looking for a quiet cozy place to stay and get away from all the stress and chaos of normal everyday life.

    brian2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, where do I begin. First of all, the home is beautiful and sparkling clean. It’s like a hotel with the comfort of a home. So clean and lovely and well designed. Sonia is a dream host. She went above and beyond and completely out of her way to accommodate us. I can’t thank her enough for her hospitality. Such an awesome home and host!

    Elizabeth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was a gem! Comfortable, clean, modern, quaint. Gorgeous view of the Catskills and sunset. The property is open to explore. Owners were readily available and yet gave us complete privacy. Perfect homebase if you need to do business or visits at Bard College or in the Tivoli / Red Hook / Germantown / Hudson / Kingston area

    Andrew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little cottage! My best friend and I stayed for one night after going to a spa in Rhinebeck, and it was just what we needed to complete our retreat. Sonia met us at the door to give us instruction, and was helpful throughout our stay when we had quick questions. The cottage is perfectly appointed, cozy and warm, spotlessly clean, well lit, and the bed is SO COMFORTABLE. We spent the last couple of hours of our stay sitting by the pond surrounded by the beauty of the property. Will absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

    Elena2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

Steep staircase to very bright room with full size bed, overlooking lawn with creek and dam and full bath with tub. Hardwood floors, semi shared bathroom, own bath and very peaceful home. Home very secluded and private, but two minutes to town with restaurants and shops. Wonderful library and always something to do for night entertainers. Walk to great views of Hudson or walking trails or just relax swim in creek or hang out in hammock. Yogis paradise!
A very private and tranquil setting,. Lots of light and windows in your room overlooking rolling lawn waterfall and woods. Bedroom has a full size bed and a single cot or for real little ones a small cot. Hard wood floors, bath with tub and down and cotton bedding. Guest are welcome to use kitchen, grounds to relax, swim in swimming hole or hang by the campfire at night.
I live at the end of a dirt road in the woods, yet am within walking or biking distance of town, Hudson river and trails for hiking. Close to Bard, Rhinebeck fair grounds, Kaatsbahn, twenty minutes to Woodstock or Hudson for a day of antiquing or just hang by the creek and jump in!
  • This place is way more than what you can see in the pictures and read in the description. We were so glad and lucky to be here. The location is quite, full of nature, has wonderful animals and filled with amazing vibes. Annemieke is such a lovely host and an amazing person. The house will keep you close to woods, creeks, river and waterfall. The town is not far and there are some amazing restaurants within reach. All the animals are so friendly and welcoming. Would love to be back again.

    Mudit2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Annemieke is an amazing host! She went extra mile making us feel at home, whatever we asked for - she made it happen (even gave us a ride to a local bar that we wanted:). We loved a cozy house with a fireplace and very friendly dogs and a cat. We'll definitely be back!

    Olena2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a memorable experience with Annemieke. The setting was more remote than I had expected, but once there, I realized that there was something indescribably genuine about the setting and the house. The overall atmosphere was intimate and relaxed, and the indoor animals (two dogs and a cat) were my instant BFFs. Annemieke herself is open, accommodating, and accepting. My bed was warm and comfortable, and the cool night air and calming water sounds coming in through my open bedroom windows lulled me into sleeping an incredible 11 hours! It's a special place and perhaps not right for those who are seeking hotel-like comforts. But for me it was perfect and I will gladly return.

    Marilyn2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at this sweet, quiet place. I definitely recommend staying here!

    Eileen2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Annemieke house is just as advertised. And she is a warm, hospitable host with lots of great suggestions for activities and restaurants and yoga. Will most definitely stay here again.

    Evie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What does it say that I rebooked within hours of heading to go home. I do not like sterile, hotel or motel environments. Annemeike's offering is singular. I missed my pets but the furry residents made me feel welcome. Everywhere there were creative interesting touches. Cozy and historic would define the ambience.

    Leslie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were only in the house in the evening, overnight into a short couple of hours in the morning due to family event but it was just like home! We were met with tea, great conversation, the smell of apple pie and sweet beagle Bolt in the evening as well as the lovely dollhouse set my daughter played with. In the morning, we went for a hike around the property, watched the chickens and enjoyed the hammock while my daughter played in the sandbox. Exactly what we needed!

    Anna Lisa2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Annemieke is a great host. She was full of compassion and kindness and we had a great breakfast time with her. The house, which is surrounded by a lot of nature, has been renovated from an old historic building and was able to relax comfortably. We want to stay here again!

A sweet cottage with waterfall and creek view. It’s a well equipped cozy nest to rest & read. You can put up the hammock in the living room and just relax all day. Set up your laptop in the dining nook and watch the birds as you work, or just unplug and nap on the couch. A great home base to come back to after short trips to nature, hiking, skiing or just walking up to town to the bookstore for a game of chess and a cappuccino,. Whatever you choose to do, I hope you go home refreshed!
My little home is perched on a cliff 30 feet above the Esopus Creek with a great view of a large waterfall -its soothing sounds add to the ambience.. The table nook looks out on the creek and gets the morning sun - Summer or winter- it’s a great place to sit and watch ducks or an occasional heron fly by, or even a bald eagle! I’m a cook, so the kitchen, though small, is fairly well equipped and there’s a push button espresso machine . If it’s summer, and you have a kayak ( and a life jacket) you can carry it down the stairs to the creek and paddle out to the Saugerties Lighthouse and the Hudson River. You will see many other “yakkers”. Also in the summer- the back lower deck has a private cedar outdoor shower, lounge chairs and a table & chairs. There’s also a gas grill and a fire pit. Please make sure to shut off the gas after you grill. Even though it’s a short walk to all the shops, bars & restaurants Saugerties has to offer, it’s got the privacy and closeness to nature of a treehouse.
The closest restaurants and bars are a very short walk away, just at the top of Dock St. Where it hits Partition St. (just one long block) Diamond Mills Hotel, Tavern & Restaurant and Black Eyed Susie’s Upstate. Black Eyed Suzie’s has delicious locavore food , home made desserts & drinks and also does take-away. Diamond Mills Hotel has a Tavern with happy hour specials and they have a large restaurant- not sure if it’s any good. It’s had mixed reviews. Sometimes they also have special events such as brunch. Check their website. The village is a 5-10 min walk up the hill And there are many good restaurants, shops ,bars, 2 bookstores, pizza places, a diner, health food store,a pharmacy., a hardware store, antique stores, tattoo shops, movie theatre and more.
  • I stayed in Rae's place for four months, so I feel uniquely positioned to comment on just how wonderful her home is, and on what a lovely person Rae herself is. Rae's house is not the typical Airbnb you find in this area: a space purchased solely or primarily to be a vacation rental. Rae lives here for a significant portion of the year, and that makes all the difference. Here, unlike in so many rentals, there are no chairs and sofas that look chic in the photos but are uncomfortable to use because they were purchased by an owner who never intended to sit in them. Rae's place is exactly as stylish as it looks in the photos AND it's comfy and cozy. You can lounge, read, write, and swing (in the hammock!) and feel right at home (but better). It's blissfully quiet. The bed is dreamy and the highest quality. The rooms are filled with natural light, but if you feel like sleeping in or watching a movie, there are curtains and blinds in every room. (Seriously, what's up with all the Airbnbs with no curtains???) The kitchen is an absolute dream. If you love to cook, you will never want to leave! Rae has everything you can think of and a few things you can't: you might depart with new things on your home shopping list. It's not just that the kitchen is stocked; it's stocked so well that you'll always have exactly the right tool. I mean, there are four microplanes-- your cheese or zest or whole nutmeg will be shredded just so. There's even a dumpling skimmer in the holder with 4 or 5 other slotted cooking tools. I'd never cooked in another person's kitchen without thinking, "I wish I had [x] with me from home"-- until I stayed at Rae's. But even if cooking isn't your thing, you can't go wrong staying here and enjoying the rest of the house, and Saugerties has delicious restaurants that make magic with the superb local Hudson Valley produce and meat. Rae herself could not be kinder and more personable. I could tell, somehow, even just from writing back and forth with her when arranging my long stay, that she's a special person with a generous soul. I can confirm that that impression was correct: midway through my stay, the Coronavirus pandemic struck the NY area. Thanks to Rae, I haven't had to worry about being safe and comfortable, and she generously let me extend my stay, which removed one element of uncertainty in an otherwise overwhelming uncertain time. I can't say enough good things about her and her home!

    Cecelia2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage the perfect getaway for all seasons. We especially appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen, which we used to make delicious winter soups and stews to keep us warm in the freezing upstate New York winter. Everything from checkin to checkout went seamlessly, thanks to Rae’s incredible responsiveness. Highly recommended!

    Ashwin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rae's place was perfect for our extended weekend upstate. The breakfast nook was beautiful with the sunlight, especially in the mornings. And the space is very well designed and thought through - very detailed space and and a very thoughtful experience. I highly recommend it.

  • We loved our stay at Rae’s place. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable and a great view.

  • Rae’s place is the perfect spot for a quaint getaway! The location is great, eating breakfast looking at the creek every morning was amazing. The kitchen is unbelievably well stocked, and there are small details and extra touches all around the cottage. The bed is super comfortable and the Apple TV is very convenient and easy to use. Thank you for a great stay!
