  • This was an absolutely amazing time! Check-in was smooth with all instructions having been written out clearly on how to make our stay that much better. Many suggestions on what things go do in the area, and so many things to do right at home! The lake had frozen over so we were able to go ice skating, which was a pleasant surprise. The ping pong table was a blast once it had gotten darker out. We were able to buy groceries and make meals at home because the kitchen had everything that we needed to cook! The house provides us with a stress-free getaway and gave us memories that we’ll never forget!

We enjoyed the late night hot tub after a competitive game of ping pong! I can only imagine how much fun we could have there in the summer! You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay :)

My place is close to Keene, NH, Fitzwilliam Inn, Mount Monadnock, Rhododendron State Park. You’ll love my place because of The calm surroundings, shade and sunshine ease of access to everything in the Monadnock Region. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Just to be clear the beach is across the road, (which is about 10' wide) and slightly to the left of my house.
Inside the cottage is basically a one bedroom cottage with a large Sunroom and common Living Room/Kitchen/Dinning/Great Room. There are full sized pull out sofas' in the Sunroom and Living Room. The Sunroom offers as much privacy as a Bedroom; the Living Room does not. There's a deck that wraps around the house and a patio in the backyard. There is also an out door shower off the patio so you can shower off after coming up from the beech and a large fireplace with patio in the side yard.
Fitzwilliam New Hampshire is the quintessential New England town and was featured as such many years ago on the Today Show! The Fitzwilliam Inn is a short drive, (@ 3 minutes), down the road and has an excellent Dinning Room and Bar. Mount Monadnock is about 15 minutes away and is the second most hiked mountain in the world I am told. Keene, New Hampshire is about a 15-20 minute drive north on NH Route 12 and offers a full set of conveniences for shopping, dinning and entertainment.
  • What a wonderful place! Spectacularly beautiful in the fall colors. Quiet and relaxing, away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic walks. A great place to decompress from everyday life. Dick responded in light speed to our only question. A warm host with a great sense of humor.

  • Dick's place was everything we needed for a weekend getaway - cozy, clean, private, and right next to a beautiful lake with a small and secluded beach. Driving directions were clear, and the cottage had all the essentials one would need. We would love to come back for another getaway.

Nostalgic. Historic. Authentic. If you listen carefully, you might hear the bell of the local boxing ring that stood here in 1820. Over a century later, the ring is now the Cheshire Rail Suite, a modern and well-equipped apartment to make your vacation notable. In the heart of Troy, you'll enjoy hiking, biking, snowmobiling, or simply taking in the local views. Every season has something new, and we can't wait for you to experience everything we love about New Hampshire.
Guests will enjoy a private apartment complete with modern-day amenities including Internet access, washer, dryer, a fully outfitted kitchen, Smart TV, full bath, adjacent parking, and a patio overlooking the garden. The apartment is equipped with both heat and air conditioning to accommodate any season.
From the back door, a winding path leads you to the Cheshire Rail Trail and the start of your unique adventure. Guests can walk to the center of Troy, discover quiet fishing spots and swimming holes, or continue along the trail for a woodland stroll. Mount Monadnock, just a few minutes from Troy, is often cited as the second most hiked mountain in the world, second only to Mount Fuji. On a clear day, it is possible to see Boston from the summit. From our experience, hiking Mount Monadnock takes roughly 3 or 4 hours to complete and is appropriate for hikers aged 10+. For a more relaxed hiking experience or younger families, Gap Mountain is situated right in Troy. The peak of Gap Mountain is an excellent spot for a picnic and a picturesque view of Mount Monadnock. If you climb Gap Mountain in the late summer, you can enjoy freshly picked blueberries to round off your hike. During the winter months, guests can snowmobile along the rail trail, go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or ice-skating. Alpine skiing and tubing are within driving distance at Crotched Mountain and Granite Gorge. In the evenings, the historic Colonial Theatre in Keene hosts a bevy of performances, comedy acts, classic and contemporary movies, concerts, and dance troupes. For a more refined experience that's worth the drive, adults can enjoy local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, or visit L. A. Burdick's in Walpole for specialty chocolates and fine dining. Our favorite local haunts include: The Inn at East Hill Farm, where families can visit the animals on the farm and even take horseback riding lessons. Monadnock Berries is home to a variety of fruits, including blueberries, raspberries, currants, and gooseberries. On-site is the Granite Roots brewery, where you can enjoy a refreshing brew after an afternoon of berry picking. Alyson's Orchard is one of our Fall favorites. Activities include apple picking, hayrides, or sampling the flavors of New England with fresh cider and apple pie.
  • Excellent in every way. Lots of thoughtful touches.....like a full spice rack and pillow spray! The suite was sparkling clean and really well equipped. Amazing hosts...we enquired about an electric kettle and 1/2 hour later there was a brand new one left for us. Great location with an excellent local shop andThai restaurant. We would definitely recommend and we look forward to revisiting at graduation next year. Thanks Julie and Mark.

  • Julie was a wonderful host to work with! She was helpful, responsive, and friendly. I would highly recommend her beautiful space!

    Rachel2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so awesome! Well appointed, very thoughtful and helpful supplies if you decide to cook in rather than going out. Spices, dishes, etc. Mark, being an executive chef, knows what would be needed for basic supplies. The space was beautiful, quiet, private and right along the Rail Trail that we had hoped to enjoy but ran out of time. Julie and Mark were helpful in making suggestions of places to eat in the area. We had an awesome family gathering for the holidays and this place made it relaxing and special.

  • We had a fantastic stay and it was even better than expected! Julie was extremely thoughtful and helpful. We had a blast cooking in the kitchen and got lucky to see some fireworks from across the street! Will definitely return!

    Zachary2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying in this cozy little retreat! Mark and Julie were incredible hosts, and the area was quiet and calm, which is just what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend the space :)

Bring your own tent, RV, or tiny home and camp on our 10 acre property. To be clear: this is a low cost primitive campsite. Bring your own gear, including a flashlight. No water, sewer, or electric hookups available. Park in the driveway, not at the campsite. Port a Potty and solar shower tent available on property, but a distance from the campsite. We are generally happy to help w anything you’ve forgotten, if you ask. Washer and dryer in basement. WiFi works near the house.
Great access to local hiking. Abuts (unpaved) rail trail for walks or biking. Fire pit available for careful use, subject to fire warden’s approval. Camp wood available on site.
We’re near a numbered route, so there is road noise, otherwise our neighborhood is safe and quiet. Folks stop and say hi, and most everyone knows their neighbors. Gardner MA, Keene and Peterborough NH are within half an hours drive. Grocery, Walmart, etc are approximately 5 miles away

  • Dan’s farmhouse was the perfect romantic winter getaway. It offered everything you could expect from the cozy and warm setting of a family farmhouse to a fire going in the wood stove to the sprawling hills and pine trees of the property. It had the perfect home away from home feel. Meeting Dan and seeing his love for this place added the finishing touches along with the dozens of beautiful photos showing all the years and generations of love and family throughout the home. An essential and classic New England experience to the fullest. Can’t wait to go back!

Cozy, light filled guest bedroom with a memory foam bed. Our guests agree: this bed is super comfy! Spacious shared bathroom. This modest, clean and warm home is on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to parks and trails. We're less than 5 minutes from major shopping plazas and Antioch University; about 7 minutes to downtown and Keene State College.
Our guest room is quiet and clean, with hardwood floors and views of green spaces from both windows. Nice sunset views and ample closet space for storage. Blackout drapes provide a restful environment. Please note that if you are especially tall, this may not be the bed for you! It is a double (full) size bed with headboard and footboard.
We're in a suburban neighborhood; vehicle traffic on our street is pretty minimal. Our lot sits between a wooded park and school athletic fields; on weekdays, expect to see morning and afternoon school foot traffic, and sports practices in the afternoons during fall and spring. Weekends and evenings are typically very quiet.

Perfect for the solo adventurer or business traveler, or a cozy space for two. At 250 sq ft including all storage, Tastefully Tiny makes maximum use of space. Custom cherry cabinets, bamboo floors, and a fold down ambrosia dinette are some of the special touches. Spanish tile floor and claw foot tub add to the charm of the bath. Futon folds down into a full sized bed for sleeping or doubles as a couch for reading or watching tv. Our price reflects that finishing touches are still ongoing.
Conveniently located between Keene, Peterborough, and Gardner, MA, we offer a rural location close to a numbered route. Abuts Cheshire Rail Trail, and close to many other local hikes. Mount Monadnock nearby. The apartment is within our old farmhouse. Squeaky floors, the occasional mouse, and other eccentricities are part of the charm. Because of proximity to numbered route there is road noise.
We live in a safe, usually quiet, and relaxed neighborhood. We know and get along with most neighbors within a mile of here. Folks generally wave as they drive by.

✓ Two Beds: One Queen and One Futon. ✓ Bedroom has Adjoining Sitting Room. ✓ Wifi and Smart TV with Local Channels. ✓ Complimentary Water, Tea and Coffee. ✓ Bathroom Includes Shampoo and Soap ✓ Two Block walk to Downtown Keene You will be staying in one of the oldest homes in Keene. The Aaron Seaman House was built in 1804 and maintains much of it's antique Colonial Charm. We welcome travelers from all walks of life and consider hosting a privilege.
Your rooms include a bedroom with a queen bed with 100% cotton linens and an adjoining sitting room with a futon that can be used as a double bed. There is a door in between the rooms so if one person wants to sleep, while the other stays up to read or watch some TV, this gives added privacy. Your rooms also include a ✓ mini-fridge and ✓ coffee / tea set up ✓ and bottled water. Your bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the 42" x 36" stand-up shower. Please note the decorative shower door has an opening of 18" wide. We only use 100% cotton towels / wash clothes. The Aaron Seaman House is over 200 years old and retains many of its antique charms such as wide wooden board floors, stained glass over the entryway, and classic crown molding around the downstairs doorways. Being over 200 years old, it also has the typical quirks of a house this age. The walls are original plaster / horse hair and the floors have settled throughout the years. Back in the day, homes were made for much shorter people, so for our taller guests, keep that in mind as you enter the rooms! In addition to your private rooms and bathroom, there is also a sitting area at the top of the hall, beside your bedroom. It’s another area that you are welcome to use.
Keene is a quaint New England town with an "up and coming" foodie and art scene. You will be two blocks from downtown Keene / Head of the Square with easy walk to Keene's many local shops, cafes, restaurants as well as Keene State College. Enjoy the free walking tour of the Wall Dog Historical Murals scattered around the downtown. There are also walking bicycle trails nearby too. We are an easy drive to many lakes, hiking and ski areas, including the famous Mt. Monadnock. Spofford Lake, Surry Dam, Island Pond and Warren Lake are some local favorite swimming and kayaking spots. 15 minutes North is beautiful Walpole, NH with Burdick's Chocolate Shop and European Restaurant, as well as the stunning Walpole Mountain View Winery. A 20 – 25 minute drive West will take you to Brattleboro VT, a funky, fun classic VT spot. The Marina Restaurant and Whetstone Brewery's rooftop Beer Garden both overlook the Connecticut River. We love visiting the Grafton Cheese shop and Saxton River Distillery in Brattleboro. Many ski areas are in easy driving distance: Granite Gorge, Crotched Mountain, Mt. Sunapee, Mt. Snow, Pat’s Peak and more!

  • Bonnie and Abe are sweethearts! Their space is sparkling clean and has thoughtful touches everywhere! She went the extra mile; buying some chocolate covered strawberries for my wife's birthday which coincided with our stay! They were available but always gave us space and privacy. Matter of fact it was as though the space was in another house altogether. The space is thoughtfully furnished! Bed is incredibly comfortable. Area has a small but tasteful living room with pull out couch and tv and such. Bathroom is spotless and furnished with everything a guest would need. The house is easy to find and a walking/short driving distance from restaurants and entertainment. If ever in Keene again, I know where I'll stay. My wife and I both loved it!

The extra amenities such as bottled water, Keurig coffee/tea, mini fridge and bathroom toiletries were thoughtfully provided. They even provided bathrobes, cloth slippers and eye masks, for lounging or relaxing. The electric mini fireplace provided a cozy New England feel to the room. We especially enjoyed the separate/adjoining sitting area. We look forward to staying again!

  • To stay at the Aaron Seaman House in Keene, New Hampshire was unique opportunity while visiting this small college town. The historic home has charm and warmth, with personal touches made by Bonnie and Abe. The room and sitting area is warm, bright, welcoming, and provides provincial colonial charm and comfort to the weary traveler. From the personal touches of maple candies on the bed, a welcome note on things to know, and a slate board for a personalized message welcoming you, this was a genuine diamond of a find. I most enjoyed my stay here, and would highly recommend it to anyone. I video-called my spouse to show her the space, and we wish to visit sometime in the summer to enjoy the town of Keene and to stay here at the Aaron Seaman House.

  • Located right in the middle of town, just off the square, this little apt could not be more convenient. Let’s see: clean, neat, crisp, easily accessible, parking, great directions. Perhaps the stairs are a tiny bit steep. But honestly, I would stay again any time. Patti is right there to answer should you need anything. And pet friendly. That’s a huge plus ❤️

Less than 10 minutes walk to Central Square, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, pizza, and Elm City Brewery 15 minute walk to Keene State
  • Warm cozy bed. Wonderful pan to make scrambled eggs in. Full size fridge❤️Good pressure in the shower.

  • I stayed with Michael for a month. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, a tv, and a small couch. There is a full kitchen with everything you need for meal preparation. Michael was very respectful of my privacy, and responded to my messages very quickly. It doesn’t take more than 10 minutes to walk to Central Square and down Main Street where there are great restaurants, cute cafes, and specialty stores. I enjoyed my stay with him and would definitely stay with him again.

    Liane2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything here is exactly as advertised. Space was VERY clean and well appointed. Absolutely perfect size for a quick stay of up to 2 people. I would not stay here with any sort of larger group. Check in was easy and the place had everything I needed for a two night stay. Just a few blocks away from restaurants, shopping etc.

    Paul2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's apartment is great for a weekend or short stay: walking distance to town, modest-sized kitchen and super clean. We had a problem with the heat and Michael responded to our text in less than 5 minutes and immediately resolved the issue. Only caveat is that there are steep stairs leading up to the apartment, so if mobility is an issue for your or someone in your party, this would not be a good choice. But otherwise, this is a superb value.

    Joanne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is cozy, cute, and was a great choice for my one night stay in Keene. The radiator does get very loud sometimes, but with my white noise machine I brought, my boyfriend and I were able to sleep just fine. The apartment had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. Overall, I would definitely recommended this place!

Nestled in the quiet woods just north of Mt. Monadnock our cozy one bedroom apartment invites the outdoors in with peeks of the mountain through the trees. Sit out on your private deck and enjoy the view or stroll around the yard and pick a few blueberries in season. We welcome hikers, nature lovers, those visiting friends or family or just wanting to enjoy the area's beautiful scenery and many artistic venues. I like to think of it as a peaceful sanctuary that we'd like to share with you.
The guest apartment is part of our home but it is completely private and has it's own entry and private deck. So, you don't have to say hello whenever you come and go (unless you'd like to, of course:) If you have questions and either Sterling or I am there you are welcome to just knock on our door ( next door) and if we are gone, I am usually available to receive a text or call. You may just enjoy sitting out on the deck to get your fresh air and view but you are welcome to the yard and to stroll through the garden. We have plenty of parking so park where you finds a good space. We only advertise one bedroom and there is a long couch (not a pullout with a bed) in the living room that is pretty comfortable. I keep extra bedding in the bedroom closet. We also have a handy twin mattress in the entry closet to accommodate a child if needed. You are welcome to these . We also have a guestroom with its own patio down the stairs from the apartment. My family visits occasionally so I don't advertise it but if you need another queen bed you can let me know and, if it is available, you are welcome. (We charge an extra $50 a night for that.) If you like to cook the kitchen has the basics: stove, refrigerator, utensils, a few condiments and spices. Let me know if you need anything you can't see there. The apartment has a coffee station. You can have the option of the Kuerig if you are in a hurry for coffee in the morning (like me) or there is a coffee maker so that you can make yourself a pot. I usually try to have eggs and something baked on hand so you don't have to rush off for breakfast. I hope you can relax and enjoy your stay!
When we first moved here over 30 years ago I wasn't sure I could handle the quiet, town girl that I was. But I love it and, after a busy day, it is such a peaceful place to come back to. My favorite spot in the summertime is on the deck for dinner. The apartment has it's own and I think most guests feel the same way. There are lots of walkers who enjoy this road and cars hauling boats but, even after all these years, it remains a peaceful and quiet spot. Just a mile and a half down the road is Dublin Lake and Stone Pond is about that distance in the other direction. Howe Reservoir is nearby as well. Bring your kayak and watch the sunset from the middle of the lake and enjoy a spectacular view of the mountain. If you are a hiker or even an aspiring one we are not too far from trails up Mt. Monadnock and the Sunapee Trail. In the winter there are lots of cross country or snow shoe trails not far from us. Friendly Farm is a great place for children and it's just a 6 minute drive away. The towns around us have lots of activities too numerous to list but we are centrally located to the best the area has to offer... Peterborough Players, Apple Hill Chamber Music (where you can sit outside and enjoy a picnic while being serenaded,) Art Shows, Museums, Concerts, Great Restaurants and Shopping. I try to keep local information up to date and on your coffee table.
  • Linda’s place was fantastic! Sadly I did not get to personally meet her, but my friend did when she checked us in earlier in the day and said she was a lovely person. The space was very well decorated and very home, sparkling clean, and exactly as advertised. The view is fantastic, and Linda went above and beyond by providing us homemade cookies and bread. I would stay at Linda’s place again in a heartbeat!

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s home was beautiful! It is the perfect location to disconnect and recharge. Linda welcomed us into her home with baked goods, which was such a thoughtful touch. Would definitely recommend!

    Natalie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an amazing host. She was thoughtful about each aspect of the stay, and I have never had a more positive Airbnb experience! So many of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive and detailed, so to avoid redundancy, I will just say that if I could give Linda 5 more stars, I would. This place was so special and our weekend experience in NH was enhanced by the quality of our stay. We are definitely hoping to come back, and we will surely recommend her place to anyone looking to rent.

    Simone2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I am a super host myself but this place far exceeded our expectations. This is another slapped together attic. This is a solidly built and beautifully finished apartment. Beautiful deck and view, fridge stocked for breakfast, and the made from scratch baked goods you see everyone raving about in the reviews. Don’t look any further for a place to stay. This is the place! Friendly host and stunning colors of trees the second week of October. Highly, highly recommend.

    Shirley2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a writer’s dream-space; if you’re looking for peace, quiet and beauty to write or just relax, this is it. A clean, comfortable, and very roomy apartment including a balcony deck with deck chairs and a covered table for coffee and writing while enjoying a spectacular view. I wanted space to spread out a project and had it in spades, with lots of floorspace in the comfortable and nicely decorated living area. Both kitchen and bathroom had a surprising number of amenities and unexpected extras. Nestled into a gorgeous location, it’s near the lake and Monadnock State Park for beautiful fall hikes, drives and walks. Linda offered to let me come earlier than the regular check in (much appreciated) and met me upon my arrival. She had several delicious home-baked treats waiting in the fridge, along with many unexpected basics (eggs, milk, juice, milk, oatmeal). Stirling came over to offer excellent driving directions to several hiking trails and helpful descriptions of each. Would stay here gladly for a longer spell (didn’t really want to leave!)---excellent value for comfortable and pleasing rooms, beautiful/ quiet location, and friendly, attentive hosts.

    Margaret2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! The space was large and cozy. It also had an amazing view from the private porch. Linda’s hospitality was above and beyond what we expected. It was exactly what we needed for our trip. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

    Angela2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an incredible host! She greeted us warmly when we pulled up after dark and again the next evening, when she called for us to join her and her husband at their fire pit after we got in from dinner in Peterborough. It was my wife's birthday weekend, and waiting for us in the fridge on our arrival was a cake! Super host indeed. The place is so nice in so many ways. It is tucked away a short distance down a dirt road from the end of the pavement--with all the peace and quiet you'd expect. The view of Monadnock from the living room and off the deck are fantastic--we loved eating out there, too. It is a quick drive into Dublin and only slightly longer to Peterborough, Marlborough, and Keene. We hiked Monadnock while there, and the trailhead was a three or four minute drive down Linda's road (it's the longest trail to the summit, but hey!) The only thing remotely approaching a negative was a slight sulfur smell to the water. It was not strong, we didn't taste it in the food we cooked (including coffee), and it didn't keep us from lugging a couple of liters of it up Monadnock, but if you're sensitive you should know.

Enjoy the peace and quite that our little town has to offer. Five minute walk to Rockwood Pond, small bass fishing boat and kayak ready to be used. 20 minute drive to Keene. Master bedroom has king sized bed and private bathroom with tub. Screened in porch is perfect for drinking coffee in the morning!
Many places to swim, rail trail and pond on our road. Playground one street away. 15 min drive to hike Mount Monadnock. Beautiful scenery!
  • Christine's place was exactly as described. She offered tips on places to eat and things to do. The pond located just down the road was beautiful, clean, and refreshing. Having access to the kayak added to the experience. Great place if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat!

  • Michele is easy to communicate with and is eager to make you feel comfortable in her home.

    Jen2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Michele was friendly and accommodating of my late arrival. I had forgotten to bring my own towel, so she helpfully let me use one of hers. The construction of the house was indeed paused while I was there, but guests should know that the full bathroom on the floor with the bedroom had no door.

    Rachel2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • During my stay in Michele's sweet home I felt warm, comfortable and welcome. It was a pleasure to meet Michele and her daughter and their lovely brood of dogs and cats! Such beautiful energy in this house hold. Thanks again for welcoming me!

  • Michele was a lovely host. Very kind and friendly, the house was absolutely darling. It was nice to leave and come back to a greeting by one of the cats, and the pups were very sweet and laid back too. The futon was comfortable! I mostly spent my time here sleeping, but I felt very relaxed and welcomed during my stay. Would highly recommend to a young traveling female. Michele’s abode is just steps from downtown Keene, and she was so very helpful in making suggestions for things to do locally. Thank you again Michele!

    Paije2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and cozy New Englander, complete with friendly cats and dogs that greet you at the door. The second-floor room is just right for one person, with ample lighting, shelves, and a place to hang some things. I recommend bringing your favorite pillow to go with the futon experience : ) Lovely bathroom and sitting area just outside your room. Front porch catches the early morning sun and overlooks the gardens - a perfect way to start your day. Host is very pleasant and helpful. Location is ideal for walking to downtown or the college campus. A great value.

Our one bedroom guest apartment is located at the base of Mount Monadnock and situated amidst 4.8 acres of quiet wilderness. Although the apartment is part of our home, it is completely private. In addition to all of our amenities, we are conveniently close to Keene and Peterborough.
Franklin Pierce University, Keene State College and Antioch are nearby. We are within 1 to 3 miles of numerous hiking trails on Monadnock and Gap mountains, and 3 miles from the Shattuck Golf Course. Guests have expressed appreciation of the wood pellet stove during the colder months, as well as the welcome basket prepared by Michelle. Guests have also remarked at how spacious The Fitz feels.

We were there during a snow/ice storm and knocked out power for a little. Ken set up a backup generator and had us back to normal in no time. We brought our dog and there was plenty of space around the property for her to run around and Kens dog was also very friendly. Internet speed/connection was great and we were able to work remotely. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks again for everything Ken!

    Jackie2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sue 's home has a home away from home feeling. She has coffee or tea and great fruit to share and keeps a super clean place.

    Stacey And Randy2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sue‘s space was everything I could have hoped for. The shared spaces in the house are warm and inviting and the bedroom was charming. The shared bath was easy to work around. I enjoyed getting to know the others I shared the space with and Sue herself is a delightful hostess. Delightful amenities included a cozy shared TV/reading space with a gas stove, coffee cake and fruit for morning breakfasts, an array of coffees and teas. The stairs were a non issue for me but if you have a lot of “stuff” to carry in you might want to find lodging on a ground floor. Keene itself has so much going on. I can’t wait to return and I will certainly plan my trip around availability at Sue’s place.

    Sharon2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was very welcoming and her home made a great base for us. It was all very relaxed and friendly.

    Helen & Phil2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's house is wonderful. It's located an easy drive from downtown Keene in a lovely neighborhood. I enjoyed my drive to and from the house. And the room is cozy and comfy. Sue goes out of her way to make you comfortable. There were always little snacks in the kitchen and other extra amenities. I shared a bathroom, but never ran into the other guests, so it was almost like my own. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Spacious light filled room with own bathroom and entrance, in back of house occupied by mother and son, along with black lab. House is around the corner from the Monadnock Waldorf School, a short walk to Robin Hood Park and 5-10 minute walk into Keene Centre. Keene State College is a short drive or 15-25 minute walk.
Space is a renovated garage with plenty of natural light and bamboo flooring. It is attached to the back of the house. Door to rest of house has sliding locks on each side for privacy. The sofa bed is new and has an added layer of memory foam for comfort.
15-20 minute walk downtown. The Colonial Theatre is home to great movies and first rate live shows. Keene State College also offers an abundance of cultural opportunities. The Monadnock Food Co-op is a ten minute walk, offering local products and plenty of organic choices. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a fabulous juice bar.
  • The place was perfect. Just as described. Close to downtown Keene. Went snowboarding at Killington and had a nice place to stay the night!

  • Lovely. Everything I was looking for. I hope to stay there again if I'm in the area.

  • The host, Lindsay, is so kind and really helped us about to discover whats around. This place is cute, quite and comfortable.

    Ayse2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsay was an incredible host, quick to communicate about logistics and provides a very pleasant and quaint room.

    Daniel2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The space was exactly as described. I appreciated the privacy/private entrance, comfy bed and all of the extra amenities – a mini-frig, microwave, coffee-maker and, most especially, the fresh fruit, coffee and milk. The only minor issue I had (which has more to do with my being an extremely light sleeper than the accommodations) was the wall next to the bed apparently abuts either an entrance way or a room in the main house and several times I could hear peoples' conversations and doors being opened and closed.

    debbi2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsay's place was absolutely perfect for our family. So clean, warm ( and it was COLD out!) cozy and comfortable. Communication was easy, clear and timely. She greeted us with an easy warm welcome. We felt so at home. After a day of travel and out door exploration we were ready to snuggle in and watch tv. Perfectly relaxing with a nice cup of tea and toast. She even left out chocolates for us. The coffee looked inviting as well, smelling so good! I would highly recommend a stay in Lindsay's home. Hope to return sometime!

    Donna2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect place for our little visit to Keene!

    Emily2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and cozy place. Everything was as listed. Easy access and great communication. It’s a short walk to downtown, for some great food and shops. Highly recommended! It was very nice to meet Lindsay and chat for few mins.

Our cozy guest house is perfect for a romantic get away or quiet retreat. We invite you to leave the hustle of the city & enjoy a relaxed pace surrounded by nature. Fitzwilliam is a quaint town, & year round activities abound. Enjoy Laurel Lake, Rhodedendron State Park & Mt Monadnock. It is great for walking, biking or snowmobiling & antiquing in the winter. We also provide a toxic free space with dōTERRA Natural Solutions, restful sleep with serenity Diffused. Ask about Aroma Touch Experience
Imagine stepping back in time to a simpler, more relaxing pace. Surrounded by nature, we invite you to be our guest in our cozy guest house located on a farm established in 1820 in historic Fitzwilliam. This is a romantic place for couples to unwind and reconnect. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We recently added a propane stove which keeps the cabin toasty all the time. You can meander along the trail on our property or hike Mount Monadnock if you'd like more of a challenge. We escaped the hustle of city living three years ago and fell in love with this property. While you're away we want our guest house to feel like your home. Sleeping We know when you're away from home you want to sleep well and a really comfortable bed, is important. In fact some guests have said its the most comfortable airbnb bed they've ever slept in! Bathing The bathroom is adjacent to the bed and has shower, toilet and sink. Eating There is a kitchen area where you can prepare meals. It has storage for food, a fridge, toaster oven, and Kurig coffee machine. In the warmer months, you can use the BBQ and enjoy eating al fresco in your own private area behind the guest house and warm yourself by the fire pit. There isn't a kitchen sink, but there is an enamel basin for doing dishes, (use water from bathroom sink). We also recommend Emma's Pub in Rindge, Pedro Fina in Marlborough, Pickety Place in Mason. While you may be coming to unwind, we have included a TV and DVD player if you'd like to watch a movie. Bring your favorite book and relax in the rocking chair. Internet service isn't like in the city so we invite you to enjoy a quieter pace where you leave technology behind and enjoy a retreat of peacefulness The guest house is located just over a mile from the village center of the historic town of Fitzwilliam. We are 88 miles from Boston Logan Airport and 55 miles from Manchester.
Founded in 1764, Fitzwilliam remains almost untouched, the village common is like a Christmas card from days gone by with a steepled town hall and houses that date back to the 1850s. The town is home to pristine Laurel Lake, a spring fed lake for summer swimming, kayaking and fishing and Rhodendron State Park is a must see especially in July when it is in full bloom. Here is a link to a video on the park. (URL HIDDEN) Mount Mondanock is five miles away in Jaffrey - it's the most climbed mountain in the world! Or gap mountain is an easier climb about ten minutes away on the way to Troy The recreational Cheshire railroad trail runs behind the property for hiking and cross country skiing. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of things to do from downhill skiing cross country skiing and hiking Fitzwilliam has been dubbed the antiques mecca of the Southwestern New Hampshire as there are several antique shops in town including Bloomin 'Antiques, Old Glory Antiques, and our our store Covey House that also offers handcrafted gift items from over 25 artisans. Plumpapparel offers clothing and accessories for the fuller figure and Feather Herb Farm has an eclectic mix of old and new in luring clothing. If you plan to pick up groceries Market basket and Hannafords are six miles away in Rindge We are ten minute drive from Franklin Pierce university and twenty minutes from Keene State University.
  • Cute and cozy cabin in NH at a good price. Perfect for a couples' getaway. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Clare and Allan were very communicative. The cabin was nice and toasty the entire time we were there. A nice low-key weekend!

  • Clare and Allen were so accommodating. A sweet, calming, place just precisely what I needed to relax and regroup for a few days. It was fun to hike up and around the back of their property as well. They make the best charcuterie plates so make sure you ask for one! A delightful little place.

    Lisa2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this air bnb find! Clare and Allan’s description of their little cabin is exactly what you can expect and the only down fall was that we had to leave so soon. We would recommend this cozy tiny house to anyone who’s looking to decompress and relax.

    Emma2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Clare and Allan's place was excellent. The space was exactly as described, and the area is picturesque. Clare and Allan are outstanding hosts, and even helped my wife and I dig our car out of the snow when we got stuck on the way to their house. It was a pleasure staying there and I hope someday to visit again.

This apartment is located roughly .5 miles from Keene's lovely downtown. The apartment offers a brand new kitchen, easy and free parking, and plenty of space for all. The building itself was built in 1810, and the other half of the building is an operating Bed and Breakfast, The Elm City Carriage Barn. We have strong, business grade wifi and a tv hooked up to cable and Netflix. I also provide a top of the line guest booklet with my favorite restaurants and hikes!
Both bathrooms have tiled showers, and the main bathroom has a bathtub with jets!
My neighborhood is part of the historical lower main street in Keene. Right across the street sits the old Wyman Tavern where the Keene Minute Men met for the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
  • You will love love staying at wills! Very charming and cozy.

  • Perfect location! Great for parents visiting their Keene students. Walking distance to campus and town/restaurants. Very comfy beds, plenty of space for six with a pull out couch in the living room. Roomy eat in kitchen. Two full baths. And Will who is a gracious host. We will stay again.

  • Great, spacious apartment with everything you will need in a rustic farmhouse setting. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room to relax. Walk to town center and college. Will is a super nice host who goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant. Hope to return soon.

    Joseph2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Will's place gave us a great weekend getaway! It's a beautiful, HUGE space with so many excellent amenities. We loved the provided foodstuffs in the kitchen, and all of the updates in the bathrooms. My favorite were the meticulous hardwood floors and super snuggly beds&linens, made up with great touches that felt like a hotel. The subtle smell of eucalyptus made the back rooms seem like a spa. Even without the fireplace working (temporary, and Will was extremely apologetic and hospitable about it), the space was incredible cozy with the provided candles. Will was gone for one night and he always made sure a friendly face (in this case, his parents running the B&B next door) was around to take care of anything, should we need it. The whole space would be amazing for two couples, with each provided a full bathroom. As it was my friend and I had what felt like a super luxurious weekend away, in this immaculately clean and relaxing space that is just a couple of blocks' walk to downtown Keene. Probably the best AirBnB I've ever stayed in! Thanks Will :)

Off of, but just a couple of miles, from the beaten path a little bit of Eden. The Farmhouse's private entrance is at the front with the small porch, taking you to the home's original main green door. Come on into the front hall and up the stairs to the clean, bright, secluded bedroom with a queen size bed. Enjoy a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower, antique granite vanity and all the fresh air dried towels your stay will require. Welcome
This room comes with a Keurig machine, organic coffee, tea, a mini fridge, microwave, a wine glass, a cork screw, a TV provided with Netflix streaming, WIFI and more needed amenities. Start your day here then head out of a perfect Cappuccino and breakfast at Aesops just about 2 miles down the road or travel to Harrisville for something hearty at the General Store. A perfect walk at MacDowell Dam is a stones throw away as are many other local hikes. Explore shopping in the village, art galleries, and of course plenty of fine dining to be had. Nearby Delrossi's is my favorite for Italian. Harlow's is ever dependable for a great meal, cocktails, music (late), cocktails and all kinds of beers. Locally you can find a Whiskey Bar, a brewery, good Thai, homemade chocolates even a vinegar store. The Toadstool is a great place to browse books and support the local economy. Within walking distance is Nature's green grocer and I always encourage stopping in to see Lulu and her wonderful ceramic work in her studio across the street. Because of the practical use of the space details for longer term stays will have to be worked out in advance.
Arts, food and nature in abundance in this idyllic Monadnock region. Something for everyone with each season from, downhill skiing at Crotched Mountain, cross country at Windblown, snow shoeing anywhere, to the most refreshing dunk in Dublin Lake, a hike up Pack Monadnock, mountain or road biking whatever your favor. It can't be beat.
  • Perfect space for a quiet weekend away on business! The area is lovely (I would like to come back when I have more time) and so is the setting. Check-in was quick and easy. I also appreciated the numerous thoughtful touches. Very charming and I ADORED the bathroom.

Newly renovated bedroom and living room apartment with a full bath and personal parking space. We have added a refrigerator, a microwave and coffee-making implements to the guest quarters. The kitchen is shared - meals can be arranged.
Welcoming, warm and private space with a bedroom for two and a fold-out couch in the living room.

Historic Harrisville is home to the last family owned woolen mill and weaving loom factory. Boston is about two hours by car, New York about four. The White Mountains can be reached in about two and a half hours.

I highly recommend if you do not want the hustle and bustle of Keene. We were fortunate to book since we waited last minute during a wedding weekend. Blessed to have found this place and look forward to staying again. Many thanks to the hosts who were so welcoming and wonderful. A happy gal from Virginia, Nona

  • So grateful to Hans and Marcy for their friendliness and hospitality! The apartment is in a great spot for exploring the area.

    Will Haldean2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this apartment for a month and a half. The location in Harrisville was perfect for us. Having access to the clean and beautiful Silver Lake right down the hill was perfect. Harrisville is one of the most beautiful tiny brick/mill towns on a lake that is still untouched by time. The General Store overlooks a picture perfect setting. I guarantee you will be taking pictures. If you like to run or walk, there's dirt roads around the lakes, or to remote ponds and old historic farm houses. Very little traffic in this area. A fifty mile hiking trail is down the road. Bring your fishing pole too. Farm stands will supply you with fresh local produce and pies. The apartment is sweet. It has everything you need. The kitchen that is shared with the owners is a big homey farm kitchen. Hans and Marcy are very friendly too. Their yard is huge with a tree house, hammocks, chair swings and plenty of cool stuff for children including a huge stage for plays. My grandchildren loved coming here. There's also blueberries, raspberries, huckleberries, blackberries and peaches. We really had a great time and highly recommend this Airbnb.

This Cozy camper is on our back yard right next to the Bike/Walk trail (Rails to Trails). Private little kitchen with stove and oven, small bathroom and dining room table, storage cabinets... and a sofa bed. And since our house is just a few feet away we will always be available if there is anything you need. It has cold/hot water, heat and WIFI is available but it isn't the greatest, since this is a rural area.

  • Needed a place to sleep on the way back down from Acadia, we adored this camper, it's pretty much just as described. It was open when we arrived and all we had to do was close all the windows and turn on the heat to warm it up a little before going out to dinner (we loved Harlow's Pub 15 min away!) We checked in after dark and there was no interaction with the host more than just a few welcome texts, which took a lot of pressure off of us. It was nice to have hot water for a shower after the cold nights and the pay-to-shower spots up in the park. Clean towels were provided, which was also lovely since we only had our thin and small travel towels. Thanks so much!

  • RV enthusiasts will appreciate this little camper. It’s perfect for a New Hampshire vacation—affordable, clean and comfy. Located at the end of Matthew’s backyard, it’s just steps from an awesome hiking/biking path. The Cathedral of the Pines and Kimballs Farm are minutes away and there’s a free public beach on Contoocook Lake. Matthew was very friendly and easy to communicate with. We plan on staying there again the next time we are in the area.

  • Olga and Norbert were wonderful hosts. The cozy room is as sweet as it looks, photos are true. The view out of the window is of hills and trees perfect for leaf watching. I stayed for a week during a training at Antioch University. The location is 10 minute walk to the school and 10 minutes into the beautiful Main Street Keen. Shops, art and yummy dining options. It was such a pleasure spending time with Olga and Norbert, they are lovely hosts and makes you feel like you are staying at your home away from home. How sweet simplicity can be.

  • Olga and Norbert are warm, gracious hosts.

  • This upstairs space is cozy and well suited for the solo traveler. I only once ever missed snagging the shared bathroom; it was usually readily available. During warmer than usual temperatures, it was a bit stuffy, but the supplied fan helped immensely. Closet space would have been nice, and the stairs are pretty steep and narrow, uncomfortably so for anyone with mobility problems or amply-sized. The hosts are very sweet and genuinely helpful. Parking is free and easy in this quiet residential neighborhood. Several restaurants at different price points are about a fifteen-minute walk away.

  • Charming place with everything I needed for my weekend visit. Great location - close to everywhere I wanted to be and easy to find. The kitchenette was spotless and there was ample dresser and closet space for my things. The hostess was there when I arrived and, because she lives downstairs, was very available and friendly. A place to re-visit when in town next!

MY PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE ONLY FROM SUNDAY EVENING AT 5PM TO 5PM on FRIDAY. The cottage is on a secluded pond, no motorboats, great swimming and fishing. My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). My cottage is close to Yankee Candle Factory Store and the Butterfly Museum in Deerfield MA., which are 45 minutes away on I-91.
  • We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere on the lake. There is a YMCA camp at the right end. It was nice seeing the kids learn how to paddle, swim, and sail. There is also a quiet campground way on the other side of the lake and a small beach area and canoe launch to the left. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of four.. 2 couches, daybed with trundle in the living room; small bedroom with bunk beds; loft above kitchen has queen size mattress. Kitchen was perfect size. Large picnic table and gas grill on the side deck. Lots of seating on back deck overlooking the water, even a Rubbermaid adult rocking chair and one for little kids. The dock was just the right size for fishing. If you look closely at night you will see 2 snapping turtles on the hunt after 10 pm. The water is very clean and crystal clear. We had lots of fun swimming and it is not very deep unless you swim far from shore. My daughter loved using the paddle boat, and I used 2 of the available canoes. One is very long, great for 2 or 3 people. The other one was about 10ft, perfect for solo adventures. The seat was cracked, but I had a cushion that I use in my kayak so it was fine. There are millions of wild blueberries all along the lake! We also took our fishing poles, even though we didn't catch anything. There was a crazy storm on our third day that knocked down branches and killed the electricity for about 12 hours, but it just added to the adventure.

  • Lovely little cabin right on the water and great for swimming, canoeing, fishing. I’d stay again and the cabin is small but has everything you need.

  • It's a perfect little getaway for me and my family, can't wait to go back. The cabin was clean and comfortable and super cozy, neighbors were nice, hosts were great..lake was perfect and price was right!

  • Quaint rustic cabin in a beautiful location on the water. Bill and his wife met us at check in to provide a personal tour and answer any questions. The cabin has a lot of character and personal touch.

  • Amazing location! Thoroughly enjoyed the rustic space...perfect spot to unplug and relax with my dog! I think he misses it already...

  • I am absolutely in love with Bill's special retreat! The cabin is the perfect size, was very clean when we arrived, also very rustic and the location is perfect. It was the most stress free, relaxing, peaceful, tranquil little spot I have rented. I kept thinking how I wanted to go back every year and fantasized about how much I would love living there! I had 3 teenagers, all good kid's and my well behaved dog. The kid's had a blast. It was good quality family time and I honestly think it was my dog's favorite vacation. As he gets older he is more nervous about sleeping out in unfamiliar places, but he was very comfortable and possibly had more fun than anyone else. He loves canoeing, BBQ, swimming, sniffing, sunning himself, and he loved hanging out with his people all week. We put his life vest to good use! The kids and I enjoyed taking the canoes out, floating in the tube and catching critters. I loved lounging on the dock as well, just enjoying my coffee. The views were beautiful and I got some amazing pictures. Just FYI, I have T Mobile and had no reception. There is a wifi spot further away. Also, I personally would be cautious bringing small children. You are right at the water and although it's nice and shallow, you'd have to keep a close eye. There are no life gaurds. My kids are older and very good swimmers. My son and his friend are boyscouts with lots of training on the water. My kids are better swimmers than I am! Just saying, it's rustic, so if you're familiar with being on the water, it's absolutely perfect! If you have little ones, just be responsible and keep them in view ;)

Lilac Hill offers a comfortable, one-floor house on a hill with the privacy of a secret garden and abutting conservation land but only a 15-minute walk to Peterborough town center, whose amenities include restaurants, antiques & other shops, movie theater, bookstore, and more. Plentiful indoor and outdoor spaces, including open kitchen/dining room/living room with working fireplace. Large extra room with ping-pong table and third full bath. Private patio. Level 2 EV charger on premises.
Plenty of board games available when you get tired of ping-pong and the well-used foosball table. Property abuts conservation land with hiking trails accessible from nearby streets. Easy access to local arts, culture, and galleries. Varied live music offered locally multiple nights a week in Peterborough. Please note: A dog lives in the house on the weekends.
Brief walk around the corner to lovely meadow/conservation area with trails and brook. Short walk to downtown Peterborough, which has everything you could need, from excellent restaurants, cute shops, first-run movie theater, pubs, galleries, and more.
  • The Lilac House was a lovely place to stay; comfortable, clean, and a great location. Rickie communicated quickly, and made accommodations for a change in the number of guests without any difficulty. I highly recommend this house if you’re staying in Peterborough. I’ll definitely return in warmer weather to enjoy the deck and hiking trails nearby.
