“A diamond in the rough, but a local favorite, nonetheless. Very good food and drinks. Cool location in the middle of an East Baltimore neighborhood. Could take a stroll around the park after dinner.”

“Some of our favorite Pizza in Baltimore is also on Eastern, but it's a bit of a walk. It's a cool skateboarding themed place made famous from appearing on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and they deserve it, it's a solid spot. It also has a local bar and games like ski ball and old arcade games, so you can turn into a spot to have a beer or two while you entertain the kids. Also vegan and vegetarian friendly!”

Bowling Alley
“Oldest bowling alley in Baltimore. Two floors of Duck-Pin Bowling. You're allowed to bring in your own food as well as alcohol (no hard liquor).”

Bar

“This hidden gem is little-known to folks outside Upper Fells Point. Two rowhouses are conjoined to form Henninger's Tavern: one is an ancient bar loaded with bric-a-brac, and the other is a white tablecloth restaurant. Stop in for a cocktail or a fine dinner -- they excel at both.”

“They are super friendly and a small business. Their sandwiches are sooooo good.”

“Whether you're looking for a cup of coffee and pastry or a delicious dinner this lovely restaurant is the place to be. The bartender is a great mixologist the staff are friendly and the food is clean elegant Italian. Their board game nights on Monday's are super fun. When I lived in Baltimore I went there every day for my morning coffee and at least twice a week for dinner.”

Dive Bar
$
“An iconic Baltimore neighborhood corner bar. You can typically find Cindy or her daughter working the bar. Third generation owners. Friendly and occasionally very lively and loud - pool table in the back. No food. ”

Bar
“Go here for only these reasons: Drink, watch sports, play darts, shoot pool. Place is called "Benders" for a reason, they don't serve food and they don't even have limes for drinks, this is a true dive. But it's an awesome neighborhood dive. Not exactly "family friendly."”

Mexican Restaurant
$
“This Mexican hole in the wall offers arguably the best -- and certainly most authentic -- tacos in Baltimore. The family who runs the restaurant lovingly makes their corn tortillas by hand each morning. While their al pastor and chorizo tacos are highlights, the pozole -- Mexican hominy soup -- is an extra special treat on cold weather days.”

Street Address
“See where Billie Holiday grew up and enjoy five murals and numerous screen paintings on Durham Street dedicated to the great jazz/blues singer.”
