Gastropub

“Excellent gastropub overlooking the ocean. This is on the otherside of the Johnson Street bridge, but worth the walk. Try to sit on the upper patio if you are there in the afternoon.”

“So much yum!!! This bakery is killer, and is also attached to a fantastic coffee shop, the best cheese and meat deli-counter where you can order local beer and charcuterie platters and look out at the harbour, and a bike rental shop! It's a short walk to get there. It's worth it!”

Place to eat
“This is my favourite bakery in Victoria. Everything they make is sourdough and they have the best Chocolate Croissants in the city. Go on Sunday afternoons to have incredible farm-to-table pizzas, but be ready to wait a little while as they're a hot commodity.”

“A lovely walk if you want to get away from downtown with a quick walk. Cross the Johnson St Bridge, head towards the Delta hotel and you are there! Walk as far or as short as you want. A nice way to get to Spinnakers restaurant and microbrewery.”

Point of Interest
“Right at the bottom of our street, the beautiful Gorge Waterway is a tidal inlet stretching from the inner harbour all the way to Portage Inlet. Salmon spawn, herring run, harbour seals fish, swans, kayaks and canoes. The Gorge was also a site for local First Nations villages in the past as the water is rich in shellfish. And you can even swim in it!”
