Awesome hosts! Definitely recommend this stay. Ben and Chris made our first trip to Washington a good one. Good location that's close to everything. They made it feel like home and we would stay here again!

Overall: My stay at Ben & Chris' place was great! One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had so far. They were super responsive which made directions/getting there/checking in really easy -- also plus point that their check in/check out time is flexible. They also gave us tips on what to check out in DC/how to get there, and were very friendly! We made use of their kitchen utensils, laundry-room and tried to make friends with their shy but adorable cat. Cleanliness: The room was clean and nicely decorated, there was a lot of closet space and hangers which was convenient! Although we were in the basement & it was the end of spring/beginning of summer, the room stayed pleasantly cool throughout the day. The washroom was very clean and well ventilated - towels and hand wash were provided! We only had to share the washroom on the last two days of our stay, but even then we didn't run into any sharing issues. Location: The neighbourhood is safe and well-lit. Taking the metro around DC is super convenient, and their house is located less than a minute away from the station. The station itself is pretty central and it was really easy for us to hit all the monuments/museums we wanted to visit. We got the week-pass, and that made traveling around DC to eat/sightsee pretty much hassle-free. We also opted to cycle on a few of the sunnier days during our trip, and there is a Capital Bikeshare station that is less than a minute away from the house! Cycling was super fun, and a great option since many of the popular areas have stations.

Room was clean and exactly as described. Ben was easy to communicate with and responded promptly to everything. He also accommodated my last minute later check-in time.

Staying with Chris and Ben was great. Their place is in a good location, a $5 uber ride to the national mall and they have the metro a short walk away and is in a nice neighborhood. The room was like in the picture, but just know their are low ceilings which they told us about before booking. Was clean and comfortable bed. Chris and Ben were great at communicating and gave my boyfriend and I good info about the city. They also let us park in their backyard which was super helpful. Overall very good time and would stay there again

Both Christopher and Ben were super easy to work with and were willing to help in any way possible. Their apartment was very nice but as they state in their advertisement the ceilings are low. At least in the room we stayed in and the bathroom. For us (5' 7") it was no big deal. The proximity to the Metro was fantastic. Maybe 300 feet to the Metro (Potomac Ave.) entrance. Awesome location and kind, helpful and gracious hosts.

Tiff was a wonderful host! She made me feel right at home, from having cute pastries out for me in the a.m to having wonderful introspective life conversations. I truly had a amazing experience. When I come back to d.c I'll be sure to stay with Tiff again.

Tiffany was so accommodating and she made sure that we were comfortable. She was very helpful and provided us with suggestions on how to get to places and make use of our short stay in DC. She even gave us a lift to the Capitol. Her place was spic and span: clean sheets and towels, room was pristine including the toilet & bath, well-ventilated room with ample light. You get a private toilet & bath with your room. Bath was complete with toiletries; room had surge protectors ready so no need to go crawling for outlets. The den (room extension) was a plus too, where you can store luggage and stuff. Tiffany was extra kind by leaving us pastries and fruits for breakfast, coffee and tea. It was a comfortable and relaxing stay at her place, she would give you all the privacy that you need. The place was accessible and a few blocks away from the DC Metro; twas a very safe neighborhood even late at night. Great host, ample space, superb location - a bang for the buck! Beats staying at a pricey hotel!

I am not the type of person that would give out a 5 star rating casually! Tiffany is a very gracious host. Everything was just as advertised. The bed was super comfortable and everything others have shared regarding cleanliness, 'cuteness', coziness and general impressions are correct. I was delayed several times en route and she was great about it. Tiffany was always super quick to respond to my inquiries and general contacts. She also provides many surprise extras which were very much appreciated. I’ve only had 1 other AirBNB experience –which was less than satisfactory. However, staying in Tiffany’s home renewed my faith in the program. I highly recommend staying in the Sweet Guest Room w/ private office! A++ AirBNBer! I would stay there again! Tiffany was an extremely welcoming and friendly host. Although I only stayed at her place for one night she was accommodating throughout. She was happy to get us a parking pass last minute and even made reservations for us at a restaurant she recommended without us asking! The size of the room was great value for the price. I would definitely stay here again if I return to DC.

Tiffany was great! There was a small issue with the room (not something that she could have foreseen), but Tiffany handled the whole situation with professionalism and kindness. I stayed at Tiffany's house for a night and she made me feel so welcomed! I sent an AirBNB request and responded very quickly. I arrived at her home after work around midnight and she went above and beyond by staying up to wait for me. Her house is in a prime location and very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable and I fell asleep as soon as I laid down. Tiffany is charming and was excellent to converse with. It felt like I had known her forever! Since we are both AirBNB hosts, we shared stories to each other and I learned a lot from her wisdom. You can tell that she knows a lot about hosting, travel, and is very hospitable. Jennifer's place was perfect for us! The space was just large enough for us to have our "space" in the after hours of exploring our Nation's Capital. We decided to be adventurous and frugal and jumped on the metro (a 2-3 min walk) from Jennifer's place. Décoré is exactly as photoed, Krupp machine, micro, full size washer/dryer, hot plate.... All of our budget and dietary objectives were met by eating in and packing lunches for our 3 day excursions to the Smithsonians. Would absolutely recommend Jennifer's place for those who want to experience the sights, while living like a local. We absolutely LOVED staying in this home! Jennifer was amazing to communicate with and the home is located in the best part of DC – Capitol Hill. This self contained apartment ranks among my top 3 favorite airbnb stays! I loved this space! My partner and i stayed 5 nights to do the touristy washington stuff. You could stay next door to the smithsonian and pay max dollars for a tiny room or you could stay here in a well priced spacious apartment 1 block from the metro that will cheaply and efficiently get you every which way you need to go. The metro system here is great! Communication with Jennifer was quick and easy. She was always available if we needed and so helpful during our stay, even ducking out to get a brand new iron for us at one point. She has been a lovely host and is a pleasure to deal with. The space itself is lovely! Open spaces and beautifully decorated from top to bottom, it truly is a home away from home. Great clean bathroom and shower with good pressure. The kitchen was handy to us for breakfast in the morning and we also took advantage of the washer/dryer during our long vacation. Private entry on the side of the building makes it easy to come and (EMAIL HIDDEN)fy bed and linens with good air con and a fan also made sleep ins too easy. While i wouldn't normally turn on the tv on vacation, having netflix turned out handy when we had a big day and just needed to come home and chill one night. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and hugely recommend to people for lengthy stays as it really is just so comfortable and like a mini apartment all to yourself. Stay here!

While I didn't see them through the duration of my stay, David and Monica were most hospitable and readily available for doorcode ans WiFi inquiries! The apartment is located at the bottom of a beautiful brick apartment and a short train or Lyft ride away from all the essential DC sights and sounds. If you're coming to DC for a convening or work, I couldn't recommend these hosts more. There's nothing better than the feeling of "coming home" when visiting a city that isn't your own.

What a great spot!! We loved staying here. There are some great neighborhood restaurants just a quick stroll up the street, but the place has all the amenities you need to stay in and cook if you like. Xavier's apartment is perfect for a stay in DC! Spacious, cosy and with all the things you need, even more! Special gift in the fridge and a nice coffee maker :) The neighborhood is calm and safe, next to the subway and not far away from the Congress (about 15/20min walking). Xavier is the perfect host : reliable, helpful and always available, the communication was perfect. Besides, he really knows DC and can give you all the informations you need to have a nice stay! Great location for visiting DC. We used the 32 bus every day which took us directly to the Capitol. The apartment was clean and cosy and Safeway is not too far away. Kitchen is outfitted for basic cooking and having a Kureig machine with pods was a nice touch for morning coffee. Great to have a clean and spacious full bathroom as well. Xavier is an exceptionally responsive host.

Locations was great for my commute to Gallery Place metro stop...Potomac Ave station one black away and grocery store across the street. I was mostly out all day through evening so I mainly saw Will in the evenings...he made a few suggestions like the bike share program which I had not thought of that might be fun to try next time. I really enjoyed my stay! Also appreciated the keyed entry system.

My husband and I have greatly enjoyed our stay at Will’s house. Located not far from the metro station and opposite a supermarket, this house has everything that we expect: super clean and tidy, covenient, super fast wifi, great kitchen as well as other facilities. I recommend this place to you. It's the best airbnb I ever lived! Choose this place when you visit DC. Very convenient, $3 uberpool to DT and within $10 to airport, you can walk 10 mins to 8th st to eat breakfast, and there's a CVS also within 10 mins walk. And I recommend Founding Farmers and Luke's Lobster restaurants.

Will's place is amazing and so is the host himself! I highly recommend this location for a shorter or longer stay! Everything in the description provided is spot-on: the house is clean, very cosy and nicely decorated. The location is great - in a quiet residential area with a really nice truly American ambience, and the house is very close to a supermarket, a bus stop, a bike rental and last but not least, a metro stop. And even on foot, the amazing Eastern Market is not far and the Capitol itself only a bit further! As for the host himself, Will was great - attentive, full of useful information and very discreet. He has even gone through the trouble of preparing a very comprehensive guide to all aspects of staying at his place and in DC - this was both very helpful and much appreciated, especially for such a first-timer in DC (and the USA) as myself. The space was in a great location, very convinient to the metro. It was relatively quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of space in the bedroom for my sister and I to stay comfortably for four days. However, I'm only 5'3'' and the shower ceiling was very low and very small. Maureen was very helpful and accommodating, especially because I arrived earlier than planned. I appreciated her willingness to work with me to make the stay convenient and enjoyable.

The house is truly a cozy place to stay for a short visit in DC. If staying in the winter, the room gets cold during the but they were very hospitable and provided a heater. I would still bring some warm clothes to be comfortable.

Maureen's place was perfect for our short trip to Washington. The space was clean, comfortable and we really liked access to Netflix and the travel brochures were very helpful! Check in was a breeze and Maureen and Nick were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we didn't see much of them, because we were out and about a lot, but all our communication was friendly and efficient a the place is very conveniently located, close to the subway, which is really easy to use and quick to get around. Addy's place is excellent if you're doing business or anything near the navy yard side of DC. It is conveniently located near mass transit, reasonably priced, and is next to both plenty of restaurants and a grocery store for food. The place itself is clean and comfortable. I was expecting just a single room instead of access to the whole apartment, though I can't complain about that! Overall, excellent place to stay!

Nick was a great host for our first AirBnB experience! He was very prompt to respond to our booking and any questions we had. The Classic Studio on Capitol Hill is also a great location to stay in while visiting Washington D.C. The studio itself is very clean and well-appointed with all the essentials for a comfortable stay (toiletries, coffee/tea, full kitchen and bath). The private entrance is easy to get to thanks to Nick's clear instructions, and made it easy for us to come in and out throughout the day between runs and sightseeing. The location is also superb (only a mile outside of the capitol buildings/two miles away from the national monuments) and it is also nestled in a good neighborhood. Nick also provided a Capital Bikeshare key for a free 30-minute ride throughout the city (there are plenty of docking stations in D.C. to switch out your bike and lengthen your ride!) and a re-loadable Metrocard to get around the area. We couldn't have asked for a better place! We would definitely book again for our next trip!

This was our first Airbnb experience. It was great and we have already done it again. This location is very comfortable. Great location. Nick is a very good communicator. All was exactly as advertised. Street Parking was convenient with their permit and almost perfect; one night the street was full and we had a very easy short block to walk.

I stayed with Nick and Rachel for 2 months while I was interning in D.C.. They are an amazing couple, and I immediately felt welcome when I arrived! The apartment is gorgeous and it was exactly what I was expecting. Their dog Kailani is also the sweetest thing ever. They made living alone for the first time so much easier! There is a bus stop right outside that goes to everywhere I needed to go, and it wasn't a very far walk from the Capital. We had a great stay at Nick and Rachel's place. It was very clean and organized for us upon arrival and provided a very welcoming feeling. The location is amazing, not far from Capitol Hill, and in a historic neighborhood which I thought was pretty cool. All instructions, advice, and suggestions were clear and extremely helpful. They go above and beyond by helping out with parking, the bus system, and even city wide bike rentals. We only got to speak with the couple in person briefly but they were very nice and communicative with us throughout the trip, making sure we had everything we needed. We loved staying here and hope to be able to do so again.

First of all, I had a wonderful stay. The apartment is equipped basically with everything what a short- or long-term traveller would need. The place is perfect for a couple or a smaller family. Alice thought for everything, starting from bathroom amenities to books and entertainment. I found the welcoming waffles, the orange juice and a huge assortment of cereals a great touch. It was very easy to communicate with Alice and she was always responsive, very helpful and accommodated any of my requests. As I stayed for a longer period, the only mentionable negative point would be the quality and the consistency of the internet, which could be improved. But I believe this won't affect most of the people or will find it still suitable for a shorter time. All and all it was a wonderful stay and I think the best Airbnb I had so far. Washington D.C. is a lot of hustle and bustle. Looking for a nice, quiet escape in between sight seeing, yet, want the ability to quickly hop on the metro to get back to the fun? This place is perfect! We were among the first guests to stay here, and simply put, it was a wonderful experience. Alice is so sweet, responsive, and thoughtful. For example, she let us check in early due to our early morning arrival time. This cute, quaint downstairs apartment was recently redone. The kitchen is superb and Alice may leave some wonderful essentials and treats on the shelves and in the fridge. It also was super nice to have a washer and dryer considering D.C.'s humidity. Back to the opening graf, this location is fantastic. You are a 10-second walk to a Metro line, a 10-minute walk to a trendy block with a great assortment of eateries and bars (We loved the Cuban piano bar), and Alice provides plenty of great recommendations. We will be back, but we worry now that the secret is out, this place could be hard to come by. But honesty, check it out, you won't regret it. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!

My husband and I were here in D.C. on business and the location was fabulous! An easy walk to the Capitol and an even shorter walk to some amazing restaurants. The apartment was cozy and decorated really well. Alice was so sweet and left ingredients for breakfast in the fridge and plenty of coffee and tea. We would stay here again!

This is unquestionably THE BEST Airbnb experience I have ever had! Alice is incredibly helpful and considerate; she made an impressively thoughtful airbnb/local information booklet that contains practically all the information you may need during your stay - from house rules, parking, public transport, worship, and so on. She prepared a variety of breakfast food and made fresh juice. The place has everything you need - she even prepared books, CDs, DVDs, and board game for guests! The location is incredible too; Metro station is just around the corner, and you can go to most museums and monuments within minutes. I can keep going for a while, but to make it short : I highly recommend Alice's place! I will definitely book her place again should I ever find myself in DC. Alice's place was fantastic for our conference travel turned vacation. The location couldn't have been more convenient for the bike share and Metro. The apartment was spacious, private, and provided more amenities than we expected. Alice was responsive and communicative throughout our stay but gave us plenty of space to move and live freely. We will look to stay here again if we are back in town.

we had 2 night in the basement well renovated by Karolin and greg. very cosy, clean ,confortable, with a lot of attentions to take care of guests. we meet only Greg who is really very friendly. so, every future guest can be sure to have a nice stay. location is fantastic with metro close, at 2mn of walk. metro in Washington is quiet, modern , not like in NYC and well indicated. very easy to go at memorial lincoln and city. i park my motorcycle close the entrance in the driveway without any problem. good thing for bikers , who can visit washington quietly. a very good airbnb :)

We loved staying here. The location is top notch for sure. You can't get any closer to the Metro--literally across the street! The bed was comfortable and the couch was cozy. We liked being able to watch Netflix and Hulu on the Smart TV. Very clean. Communication with the hosts is the best I've had on Airbnb. The guidebook library was especially helpful, and saved us a few bucks from having to buy a map. Nice touch! On the way home from D.C., we both agreed that we'd love to return to this place, if it's available, when we're next in town.

The stay was as expected and perfectly described in the post. Although Karoline was not in town, she was responsive to our needs. Everything is provided down to the details. If you are light sleeper, consider bringing some sleep aids. It will help as noise travels from upstairs. The location was the best part- near the metro station and easy to get to where you need go.

I brought my 10-year-old son to D.C. for spring break and Karoline's space was perfect for our sight-seeing adventure. The metro entrance is right across the street which makes it super easy to get to all of the D.C. sights. It was so convenient we even came home one afternoon to rest before heading back out. We drove to nearby restaurants, the zoo and to visit friends and it's easy to get around town via car from this location too. (The drive to the zoo takes you right through all of the cherry blossoms!) There are some great restaurants nearby in the cute area by the Naval Yard. The space is small so more ideal for two people, although you could fit three or four with the air mattress. The layout is really nicely done and all of the spaces feel just right. It was perfect for us and Karoline was super responsive with all of our questions. It looks just like the pictures and is very cute. There's off-street parking right by your "front door" (which was a huge plus for us since we drove to D.C.). It is a bit noisy as there's a main street that runs by the building, but these are just city sounds that you'd likely have anywhere in D.C. We brought a white noise machine and were so tired each night that we fell right to sleep. Since it was just me and my son I was a little apprehensive about safety as I don't know the neighborhoods well, but this felt very secure with double-door entry, a parking spot right by the door and the metro felt clean and safe. I would definitely stay here again!

Grate place for a good price

Great apartmet in a great location. Two blocks from Barracks row, Pennsly ave and Eastern Market.

This location wa perfect for our trip. We wanted to be able to park our car and walk or take the metro and we did! We were able to see all the sights and walk to get The neighborhood was very safe and family friendly. We would recommend this place to families with small children, or older children, couples or a friend trip. The couch bed was the most comfortable couch bed I ever slept on. This was our first airbnb stay and I will definitely do this again!

Cute, clean place. The hosts are very thoughtful and attentive. They're great communicators as well. The place was neat and clean. The host even provided a few groceries and a welcome bag. It's in a GREAT location. Lots of fun things to do and sights to see right within walking distance. We were disappointed by the noise coming from the unit above our. They disturbed our sleep, which was unfortunate. I communicated this inconvenience to the host and she was extremely receptive and accommodating.

Definitely recommend booking with Brad & Kimber. Anything you need is provided right away. This was my 2nd time staying at one of their properties and the experience was great both times.

The apartment was great! A few minutes away from the subway, Eastern Market, and more restaurants on 8th street. Tucked away on a quiet street, the apartment was the perfect blend of convenience and price.

We had a very pleasant stay at Darob and Nico's suite. They were very responsive to our texts and accommodated our needs in a timely manner. The location is close to most tourist attractions, we could take a cab/uber to anywhere and it was relatively cheap. The common area is beautiful, clean and neat. Amazing experience overall; I would definitely recommend this listing!

The description was accurate. The building, front yard garden, and room were all beautiful. We were about a 6 minute walk from the metro, and right across the street from Eastern Market. The room was well furnished, the bed super comfortable, and the shower is awesome. The bathroom has 2 sinks, so no waiting while your SO does makeup in the mirror. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities and a Keurig machine, complete with complimentary k-cups for morning pick-me-ups. In the bedroom, our hosts provided us with towels, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. There was a hair dryer in our room as well which was a great surprise because we forgot to pack ours. Despite all the awesome, there were two minor problems that stood out. The curtains in the room don't block light well, and the entire room is bright very early in the morning. If you're the type or person that wants to get up at 8am or earlier to conquer the world, that might work very well for you! Also, there's a vent above the bed that leads directly into the apartment upstairs. This means that you can hear your upstairs neighbor stomping around, as well as their important 1AM phone calls, in perfect clarity. I hope you managed to get ahold of "Linda" after all, guy upstairs! Overall the experience was great and the room was a perfect launching pad for checking out the city all weekend. If you're a light sleeper, maybe bring an eye mask and some ear plugs.

The home was absolutely lovely! Everything was just as described on the site. The neighborhood was very friendly and conveniently located to Eastern Market, the Metro, and we even walked to the Capitol. The home was very inviting and my family enjoyed our time there. I am so glad to have spent our weekend there and we hope to make it back again in the coming year!

Centrally located, posh, modern, clean, and spacious! Host is quick to respond to any questions, and was very courteous. Towels, linens, and toiletries were all supplied. There was even a small fridge in our room. Very walkable to The Mall and the many other attractions. Highly recommend!

Darob and Nico's place is great and I would definitely stay here again. The suite itself has great furnishings and plenty of space for two or a small family. It was a great mix of modern ammeninities with sweet antique-like furnishings and was situated in a quiet neighborhood with a lot happening around it. The other guests were nice and respectful, but very personable. Overall, a 10/10 experience.

This place is exactly as represented online. There is a communal area on the first floor where other residents can also use the kitchen. Thanks for a great stay!

Olivia and Jason were perfect hosts and were incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. They have a lovely home and the neighborhood is very quiet and close to some great restaurants and Eastern Market.

Great place to stay in DC!! The apartment is spatious, clean and well equiped. Ideally located 20 min walk from the capitol and 5 min by bike (theres a capital bike station nearby). Nice and carefull owners too. A great example of what airbnb has best !

I sent my wife and daughter to DC and we selected this apartment because it was close to all visiting areas. They enjoyed the apartment, Olivia and Jason were excellent hosts. the lady doing the cleaning was so nice, she took my wife and daughter to the supermarket, wait for them and then drive them back to the apartment. awesome kindness. thanks for all.

The accommodation was as listed , it was clean and pleasant. The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe, surrounded by parks with lots of young families. There was no interaction with the hosts during our short stay.

Chris and Ben were great hosts! We were able to drop off our bags early before our room was ready, then received a text when it was so we could come back and take a nap. They were very knowledgeable about the area and were on point with food suggestions. The location is so close to public transportation and walkable to Capitol Hill. We would definitely stay here again!

Ben and Christopher were wonderful hosts! The house is beautiful and very clean, and we slept very comfortably. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants, and Ben and Chris were super helpful with suggestions as well as help with parking and places nearby. Would highly recommend if you are visiting the area!

This is an amazing location in DC at an affordable price, with really kind and helpful hosts. The place is a less than 5 min walk from the metro and a grocery store. Chris and Ben were really helpful and nice to talk to, and it was a really great mix to have a private room and bathroom as well as the use of the entire apartment (including the kitchen which saved us a lot of money on meals).

This space and the hosts were fantastic. Extremely hospitable, fun and helpful hosts. We slept extremely well on the mattress and the space was very comfortable. They paid attention to the details and it showed. Hope to stay there again someday.

Amazing location just 2 blocks away from the Metro and just a short walk away from the Capitol. The restaurants around this location are also really nice. Sandra is really easy to communicate with and goes out of her way to help guests during their stay. A plus to the stay is her friendly pets. Definitely would recommend staying here for any guests looking for a place close enough to the capitol, but also quiet enough to peacefully enjoy your stay.

Sandra deserves Super Host for sure. She is very nice to me and I feel at home in her place. Particularly the kitchen is fabulous, and the location is so great, very close to the downtown. And there is a convenient market nearby. I recommend here you want to have a pleasant visiting trip in DC.

I enjoyed my stay in Sandra's guest room with a porch, the home is very charming and Sandra showed great hospitality and she is a true animal lover. The neighborhood is really nice, it's walking distance to all the tourists sites/The Mall but it's also very close to public transport. Lots of good restaurants close by.

I really enjoyed staying at Sandra's place! Sandra is a super nice person, who always takes care that everything is fine. She gave me a lot of tips what I can do and how I can spend my time in Washington. Her place is in a silent neighborhood near to the center, which was perfect for me, since I also had to work during my stay. You can't beat the location and Sandy's helpfulness. It's probably the best price performer around in DC and exactly as described. Communal bathroom and lack of AC in the bedroom may not be for everyone and for really hot days and nights.

My stay at Sandra's was fantastic. I arrived on a very hot day and had just walked from Union Station ( 20min walk) she straight away gave me home made lemonade and showed me my room , she's super sweet and friendly with great tips on what's good in the local area. Her house was beautiful and clean . The bed was super comfortable and the porch was great. It's super easy to get around 2 mins to Eastern Market and restaurants . 4 mins to metro train lines . And 15 min walk to Capitol Hill and the Mall. Next time I'm in DC l'll definitely stay again.

Sandra is a very nice and attentive host. She was so accompanying to my schedule and even allowed me to check out at a later time than originally scheduled. She offered coffee and tea and access to all common areas of her home. She is very nice. Her home is located in a great area and my average uber/Lyft was around $3-$5 to most places.
