Beautiful home and garden. We loved the hammock under the huge tree and the Moroccan decor throughout. Everything is spotless and the host offers access to common areas. Rachel was a warm and gracious host. She had a lot of details that made us feel welcome, from a tray of teas with two cups in the kitchen for our arrival to wine, candles and a lovely soap in the room. We loved our stay in her home. It's a 15 minutes drive to downtown Portland but it offers a gorgeous green space to relax after a day in the city. We loved it.

First time touring Portland and first time using an AirBnb, and our stay at Rachel's home made it all the more complete! Adorable, wonderfully decorated, comfortable, clean house not more than a 7-10 minute drive from Downtown. Within easy access to and from Lyft/Uber rides. Rachel couldn't have been kinder, more accommodating, or informative. Check-in time was open and available. The teas and chocolate we enjoyed throughout our stay was a welcomer every time we returned from the day's excursions. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Rachel's home was absolutely gorgeous. The decor was beautiful and layout of the home is ideal for a bed and breakfast situation. Rachel offered complimentary chocolate, wine, coffee, tea, and cookies! The house is in a great safe neighborhood (you don't always get that with airbnb) and it's only a short drive to downtown. We loved our stay here and will definitely consider staying here again if I'm in the Portland area again.

Rhonda and Doug made me feel very welcome!! I had a great time with them. They treated me like family when I was there. I was training for a marathon. So I needed to find a place to run 20 miles. Rhonda and Doug talked to their friend who works for Nike and gave me a few options. I absolutely appreciate that! The basement was very nice and spacious. I slept well at night. The location is great. It took me 10-15 minutes to downtown and 20-25 minutes to the airport when the traffic was not too bad. Highly recommended!!!

My husband and I spent the weekend playing in Portland and staying with Rhonda and Doug was the perfect homebase for our adventures. We found Rhonda and Doug warm and welcoming and they totally made us feel at ease. Our room was private, clean, quiet and comfortable and included everything we needed. The decor was funky cool with lots of interesting surprises everywhere we turned. Rhonda was very helpful in providing us with information on Vegan restaurants and other tips and information regarding the area. In addition to being great hosts, Rhonda and Doug are just really interesting people with many fascinating stories to tell if you are open to listening. We would absolutely stay with them again and will recommend them to others.

Rhonda and Doug went out of their ways to welcome us, to provide us with information and recommendations about Portland, and generally to make our visit as interesting and entertaining as possible. They are both fascinating people, and we enjoyed spending several evenings having long conversations on their back deck. The apartment is very quiet and comfortable, and Rhonda will provide anything necessary that is not already furnished. The location is a little over 10 minutes by freeway from downtown, but it feels like staying in the country. We truly enjoyed our 6-night stay and would consider staying with them again on another trip to Portland.

Rhonda and Doug were extraordinarily welcoming hosts. They repeatedly went out of their way to accommodate us, answered any questions we had, and were always lovely to talk to. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood that has a more pleasantly rural than suburban feel, yet it was an easy 10 minute commute into downtown Portland. The space is well described in the listing, charmingly decorated and very comfortable. The bed was great, and they had set up an inflatable mattress for our son which was substantial and quite comfortable as well. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to see both Rhonda and Doug again soon!

In a group of new and seasoned AirBnB users, all three of us were absolutely in love with the home and the family we stayed with. The hostess and her son are genuine, mindful, selfless, and accommodating. We all fit in comfortably, and with their piano playing while we were waiting for a ride to see nightlife, the evening was Hallmark-ready. The location is right off of a main road, and while anything a person would need is just blocks away, it's not a long drive at all to greater Portland. Our room was comfortable and well furnished, with a remarkably soft bed. There were no expectations or demands of us as guests, except for quiet after 11pm. My recommendation is absolutely 100% the best stay we could have hoped for.

Laura was a pleasure to meet! The room was excellent and the location was great but Laura was the best part of the stay. Our crew enjoyed the short amount of time we got to chat with her and share her organic eggs and smoke salt and homemade mayonnaise. If you're traveling through Portland, make sure you check out this place!

My son and I were moving to Portland and Laura was happy to answer all my questions about the city, what areas we should look for apartments, things to see and great places to eat. As we travelled up the coast, we've met many Airbnb hosts, but none were as kind and homely as Laura. We were cycling, so Laura's sauna is a huge win as well! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Laura's place to travellers to Oregon.

Laura and her son greeted us at the door, which was unexpected because we got in so late. Both were very nice and willing to give ideas of things to do in the area. We even got a personal piano performance one evening. I did not have time to partake in the sauna, but that was readily available. Everything was clean and easily accessible. Staying at Laura's was quiet, but not too far from the locations we planned to visit. Would stay here again for a quiet weekend.

This place was amazing. The neighborhood was quiet and I loved that it was in the woods. There was lots of space, everything was very comfortable, and all the decorations were very cute! Also everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again!

My husband and I were in Portland to work at a festival. After full days of amplified voices, music, clapping, and cheering, we knew we would want a cozy, quiet spot to decompress. Owl Creek Retreat was all that, and more. Kelsey and Quentin have thought of every step of their guests' comfort. From the stylish decor, to the amazing bedsheets and the softest robes I have ever felt, I knew I was in an environment where the owners cared about our experience. We truly enjoyed the small touches: local coffee and beer, good quality soaps and lotions, and even shampoo and conditioner. We highly recommend Owl Creek Retreat, and will hopefully be back soon!

We had such a lovely time here. It was the perfect retreat after our many adventures in and around Portland. Kelsey and Quentin have made a relaxing and peaceful sanctuary that we definitely want to visit again.

Beth's lair was super cozy and magical. It was clean and easy to get to with parking right in front of it. Beth and Glenn were wonderful and it felt like home. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet and there is a village with cafes in walking distance. If you are looking for a calm romantic getaway this is your place to stay!

Beth's place was convenient! Quiet and Tucked away but close enough to downtown portland. Multanomah village is such a cute community! Detached unit with Private entrance and pretty much doorstep parking! The unit was very cozy and had everything we needed. Beth was easy to communicate through text since we were out &about most of the time. Checking in & out was seamless and had no problem whatsoever as the instructions were easy to follow. Everything from the toiletries such as all natural soap and shampoo reminded me of the products I look for and appreciate. It's the little things that count! Would definitely recommend her place to others and stay again!

Absolutely lovely space and hosts. Beth and her husband reached out to ensure we arrived comfortably, shared ideas for must see places in Portland and even supported me in receiving a package while we were out hiking. I'd definitely suggest this to friends and stay there again if visiting in the future. It was easy to get in and out while visiting downtown, the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood.

The fox lair is a wonderful little cottage in a quiet portland neighborhood. It's close to transit and only a couple minute drive crom down town. Beth and glen are wonderful hosts, extremely accomodating, and great to work with. Definitely somewhere we'd be happy to stay again.

Highly recommend this studio! Charlies and Mercedes thoughtfully and tastefully appointed it. They met me on arrival to ensure access and answer questions. It was very clean and cool inside thanks to a small ac unit. Fresh flowers were on the table and an assortment of fresh fruit in the refrigerator. The huge bed was very comfortable with a nearby sitting area and large television with cable. Outside, a hammock, as well as benches, table and chairs provided a charming place to relax and hang out. The studio was a relaxing place to return to every evening after full days in Portland which was about a 25 minute drive to downtown. I also enjoyed walking around the peaceful neighborhood. My wife and I could not be more pleased with our experience at Roger's place. Upon arrival the back house was impeccably clean, with all the necessary accompaniments provided. The property is located in a very quiet, secluded, and super safe neighborhood in SW Portland, only 10 minutes from the city center by car. Additionally, they allowed us to park in the main driveway, so parking was never a hassle. For us the location was great, given that after a long day in the city, it was quite nice to retreat to a quiet neighborhood home. The place provided us with more than enough space and anything we could need to make our stay comfortable. On our first day Roger and Josh came out to meet us for a quick chat and reiterated that they were available by phone or email should we need anything from them. For us, they provided the perfect balance of making us feel welcome, while still allowing us the privacy that we were looking for on our vacation. If you are looking for something similar to what I have described, you would be hard-pressed to find anything better.

We were in town for a wedding, and the studio was perfect for us! The neighborhood is convenient to the freeway; only about 15 minutes to downtown, 20 to the airport. The studio was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was also very quiet at night so we slept well. Roger went out of his way to make us comfortable and we really appreciated it. This was a great value and I'd happily stay here again if I am ever in Portland.

We loved staying at Roger's little house. It is cute and has everything you need for a relaxing trip. We didn't get to meet Roger but always felt that if we needed anything he would be available.

Nice and quiet place. We stayed here while attending a conference at the convention center. Not super-close, but we knew that while booking and it was both reasonable to drive in and park (~20 min) or take the bus/MAX train (~40 min). Very clean, comfortable, and even had tea/coffee on hand which was a very hospitable bonus!

Marty is a sparkling conversationalist with myriad fascinating life stories and projects. He is exceedingly kind and gave us a lift around town several times. His house is beautiful with lots of personality and feels comfortably lived-in. One of our favorite Airbnb stays yet!

The cottage was charming and our host Martin was so welcoming and engaging. Even though it is a shared bathroom, we felt that we had our private space. We would give this listing a 5 star except the bed was unacceptable.

Martin's place is a lovely home in a quaint neighborhood. The room was impeccable, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Overall the home and it's host were perfectly comforting and welcoming. Marty is a great guy to talk about the city and your travels with, and it's apparent how much he enjoys hosting. He's very good at it and we appreciated his hospitality and friendship immensely. The location and price are great for easy access to downtown Portland and the surrounding area. An Uber trip took maybe ten minutes to the Crystal Ballroom. If I'm ever back in Portland, I hope to stay with Marty again. All hosts should strive to be like him.

And if you ever needed a personal tour guide he'd be your guy. He sat and showed me on a map of all the MUSTS in town and what I could potentially be interested in! This is definitely a five star AirBnb, one of the best I have stayed at. The photos and description are accurate. It's spacious and modern, very clean, and well appointed. Ivy was attentive and accomodating, and the welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated. I extended my stay to two weeks, and hope to be able to return sometime in the future. The home was fantastic. It was everything as advertised and I feel the owners went the little extra to make us feel welcome (chocolate bar, snacks). Everything was very clean and tidy. Minimalist without looking sparse. The linens felt and smelled like the linens at a nice hotel, an added bonus compared to other AirBNBs my wife and I have stayed at.

This apartment was really great! It's very spacious, comfortable and clean. And very nicely decorated. I stayed in it for 4 weeks and felt right at home. The kitchen has everything you need, there is a great bed with nice linens, the bathroom is big and has a washer and dryer. It's a basement apartment, but you can see from the photo that the French doors let in lots of light and there are other windows. It looks out to parkland just past the driveway. It's a comfortable 15 minute walk to Multnomah Village, a very charming and hip place with cool shops, restaurants, First Friday, and lots of friendly people. Walking the other direction it's only about 5 minutes to another Starbucks and Barbur World Foods, a wonderful grocery with middle eastern, gourmet, and organic foods. Really the Only Caveat is something that Ivy tries to mention- since it's an old house, you can definitely hear people walking around upstairs. It only took a short time for my dog and me to get used to it and stop hearing the noises. Thanks Ivy!

Johanna's house is very pleasant and welcoming. Her hands off approach is non invasive and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Her prices are exceptional for what you get and the location is prime for visiting all that Portland has to offer. I cannot recommend staying with her enough!

Jo was a terrific and generous host, taking the time to provide us with what we needed and easy to reach at all times. The house is beautiful and located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. There is a big supermarket as well as other shops and restaurants in driving distance. Downtown Portland is about 20 minutes by car. The room is in the basement and is nice and big, with its own patio door and toilet and sink (only the shower is shared). We barely noticed our hosts but you might hear e.g. foot steps from time to time through the ceiling. The sofa bed is large and comfortable. The bottom line is that we would stay with Jo again in a heartbeat.

Johanna's B&B was like a home away from home for us as we transitioned from one state to another. It provided a safe welcoming environment for my kids to play and ease the stress of the transition. It had all the amenities that we needed and was really close to shopping and entertainment. We enjoyed our time and I would recommend it to anybody.

I had a lovely stay with Johanna and her family. The space is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. Communication was very clear throughout and check-in was a breeze! The snacks were very much appreciated and it was nice to get visits from the cats. The location is a ~12min walk to a frequent bus route downtown and I had no trouble betting around Portland transit. This was my first AIRBNB experience and I went in with pretty low expectations. Erin, Scott, and P.K. were astounding hosts. From the moment I walked in, the room was clean and there were clean towels and blankets on the bed waiting for me. They gave me the wifi password and handed me something to drink; V.I.P treatment. They were the definition of accommodating; the entire time I was there I was offered food and drink constantly. Erin is a great baker BTW if you are ever lucky enough to be there when she's making a cake. All three of them were excellent conversationalists, so if you're the social type that likes to meet new and interesting people, then you are in for a real treat. The neighborhood was clean and quiet and only a hop and skip to Portland proper. If you like clean sheets, warm cake, and awesome people, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not stay here.

Besides the large capacity and excellent location, this house is nicely decorated. All household supplies are provided and well organized. Information on local attractions was welcome and helpful. Many kitchen supplies were present. Overall, a great choice for visiting Portland and surrounding areas.

It's my first time to rent a house to live during the business trip. It's really perfect experience during my stay. The house is quite big for us 7 people to live, 2 big living rooms, kitchen.... All the facilities are convenient,even there is a kettle for people who is use to hot water drinking. All of us think it's better than hotel, space , facilities and take our ease.

The home of our host, James, was very cozy, clean, and family friendly. We enjoyed Our stay. Nice ground floor for adults to sit and chat. Lower remodeled level with wall to wall carpet where kids can play safely. We visited Portland for a family reunion and so the home's location worked out just fine. James was a gracious host and was responsive to our needs.

My tennis team and I stayed at James' house for a long weekend while we played in a local tournament. The week before we arrived James contacted me with check in details and even gave me recommendations for local tennis courts to practice on. The home is really lovely and many of my teammates commented that it was one of the nicest airbnb homes they had stayed in. The location is very convenient to most everything - shopping, food and freeways. We would all gladly stay here again and really appreciate the care James puts into making sure you enjoy your stay. The best part is we won the tournament, so the house must be lucky too!

Everything in the description of this home was absolutely accurate. The host came by the first day to welcome the first of my family to arrive. This is a lovely well maintained property, located in a quiet neighborhood and just a few blocks from a large Fred Meyer supermarket. The open floor plan combining the living room, dining area and kitchen makes for a great space for your group to gather. There is also a den downstairs which can be helpful when you are traveling with kids as this area provides a separate space for them to play. This home provided ideal accommodations for an infrequent reunion of my family. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook meals for 12 without having the necessity of going out to a restaurant. We did take advantage of dining some of the very nice Portland restaurants. There is a deck and grill for outdoor entertaining. The beds are very comfortable. Everyone in my group was extremely please with these accommodations. Their is not one negative comment I could possibly make about this place.

Bingo! Deborah's home is comfortable, big, and perfect for a crowd. In our case, we were a 3-generation family, including 6-year-old twins who were thrilled to have lots of places to play. The in-house toys were a big plus too. Well-equipped kitchen, which made cooking easy; many places to hang out and relax; nice outdoor space; and an easy-to-use laundry. Quiet neighborhood, convenient to shops by car. Let me repeat: so comfortable. And when we left some treasured electronics behind, Deborah packed them up and had them sent the next day. Just lovely.

I didn't meet Deborah but my friends did and commented on how nice she was. The location is about 15 minutes in uber if you are heading downtown or you can rent a car and there is plenty of parking on the street. There is not much happening around the house so it's a good spot to start out your adventure but you will have to leave the neighborhood to grab food, etc Deborah was great at communicating and fixed the alarm remotely that we set off when we tried entering the house. The house is huge and great for a large group. We were in Portland on an exceptionally hot weekend. The is quite cold downstairs but not cold enough upstairs. We tried getting it right but didn't succeed. No other airbnb-er will have this problem unless it's 103 degrees. Man, it was hot in Portland!

Deborah gave us great instructions at the house. There was some issues getting in with the keyless entry at first but after that was sorted, everything else was great! It was so spacious and has everything we needed to have a great weekend in Portland. It was about 15 minutes from all of our destinations so that was also nice.

This is an excellent family location. It is exactly as described. We had everything we needed to make our family experience fantastic. The layout of the house was perfect for the five of us. We had a lot of room inside and outside to either be together or be separate.

We loved everything about this house. The house itself was large and roomy. Great central location (we split time between Lake Oswego and downtown Portland, and the house was 15-20 minutes at most from each. The house was very clean and orderly. We would definitely stay here again on any return trips.

Perfect place to enjoy your stay in Portland. Located in an area of the outskirts of the city where you can enjoy the tranquility and nature and in few minutes in car enjoy the city. Susan is a great hostess always willing to help and with a very nice conversation. We recommend without any doubt the place.

Susan is your ideal Airbnb host and her house is very beautiful and clean, really nice atmosphere too. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The pets (dog and cats) are super welcoming and keep to themselves. The place is also walking distance to Multnomah Village, which is one of the last old true neighborhoods in Portland. Strongly recommend that for breakfast. Overall, we will be returning to Susan’s place next time we are in Portland.

I had such a great time at Andrea's! She was very friendly and allowed me to check in early, which I greatly appreciated. Her home was beautiful and I felt very comfortable. The backyard was a lovely added bonus! I'd certainly visit again!

Andrea was prompt and very friendly in responding to my booking request. Her home is delightful-- beautifully decorated, very clean, warm and inviting. My room was sunny, clean and adorably furnished. She did an excellent job of making me feel right at home. I'll definitely return!

You are lucky if you have the pleasure of staying in this nice home. A wonderful neighbor and close to the bus! The neighborhood is so much fun.

It is a great place, very clean, nice ambience. Andrea was very pleasant, and the place was very convenience for going downtown. There is a bus in front of the house that take you straight to downtown 20 mns. And there is a small beautiful village in a walking distance full of shops and nice restaurants. I highly recommend this place.

Andrea is very friendly and has a spectacular (URL HIDDEN) exceptional AirBnb value! It is beautifully appointed, inside and out. I was only at Andrea's for two days and did not venture into the city from there, though it appeared easy to do. I did, however, take the pleasant walk to Multnomah Village, twice. I can highly recommend the seafood gumbo at O'Connor's and Fat City Cafe for my morning coffee. I'd definitely stay at Andrea's again!

Andrea's home is a really beautiful place. I was welcome for her husband that showed me my room, towels and wifi connection. She is happy and funny and make you feel confortable. She gave many tips and we chat for while. The house is clean, amazing and has a friendly cat that stays with you asking for attention. It is really nice. Her daughter is also lovely. Thank you for all the help and attention that you had with me.

Andrea was kind and helpful in being able to accommodate my last minute request. The house was wonderful and well appointed - I highly recommend!
