Just outside the Lake District National Park but within a 30 minute drive of Keswick you get the best of both worlds of exploring the attractions of the Northen Lake District and the Solway Coast with its quaint seaside towns. Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Spittal Farm holiday cottage

Spittal is the former farm house, it sits at the front of a farm yard development. The house it’s self dates back to 1702. There are 2 private gardens one enclosed for your furry friends and 3 large communal areas. There is also parking for 2 cars and a visitor parking bay. Spittal sits just outside the market town of Wigton which is about a 15 min walk.
