  • Anne Marie is the kindest, sweetest host I’ve ever met. Thoughtful touches everywhere, the listing itself far surpassed my exceptions. I can not recommend Anne Marie and this listing more. Such a wonderful experience, I would love to return soon. Thanks again for making our stay so special. X

  • Such a stunning stay. The photos don’t do it justice! The lovely detail and cosy touches in this stay made our trip very special. Nice and quiet and exactly what a get away is made for. Nice small village with a local shop and The Fox Pub nearby which we did not need as we utilised the stay to have some delicious home cooked food with the fire on. Norwich city centre a 30 min drive, and coast places also only a 30 min drive. Overall lovely place to relax and so ideal for winter months. Want to visit again already!

    Chloe2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely retreat especially in the cold weather! A nice bottle of wine added a special touch on arrival and the log fire made it feel cosy. Just be careful when following directions straight from the Air BnB app as we ended up on a neighbours property instead at first

  • Met an awesome family who are there when you actually need . During this time of Covid-19 they still provided great support. The kids and the mom and dad both are great to be with. Anyone who loves to stay in Airbnb and also wants to have a family touch I would recommend this is the best place to be. Apart from that location is very convenient as it is just near the city centre.

  • Valdis and Eva are such a lovely family. They came to my rescue during the coronavirus with the offer of a room, when many other people were closing their doors. They are genuinely nice people. Their flat is a couple of minutes from the centre of town. The room is clean and nicely decorated and gets lots of light. Highly recommended.

We have travelled using Airbnb over the past few years and have had some amazing experiences and want to offer the best Airbnb experience possible now that we are hosting. We really love our home so please treat it as you would your own.
Norwich is a wonderful city. Full of Culture and History. It has been voted 4th best shopping area in the UK, set amongst beautiful surroundings. We have lots of great restaurants and bars. Something for everyone's taste. Please do not hesitate to ask for recommendations as we will be happy to tell you about some of our favourite places.
  • I was impressed because you should take off your shoes at the entrance, so that the rest of the house remains clean. It’s not accustomed in the UK. I really appreciate it by two reasons. First we are Japanese and we always take off our shoes at home, second reason is COVID-19. It’s fundamental to keep hygiene. The house is beautifully decorated and functional. Gilly always responded quickly. Super market is near by and large park is walking distance. What else do you want?

  • We had a lovely stay, the house and location is great. We would recommend eating at Haggle and Cafe 33, food was delicious.

    Andy2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gilly’s place is very cosy and comfortable with a nicely laid out living room, stylish dining room with a fully equipped connected culinary area. Additionally, this space offers two modern bathrooms both equipped with showers and the bedrooms have cloud like mattresses ensuring a wonderful nights sleep. Would definitely recommend a stay here with the accommodation facilitating all our needs, with easy accessibility to local food outlets ranging from Tesco to Lidl, Subway to Nando’s and local fish and chips shops to Chinese takeaways promising nobody to be left with an empty stomach. Overall, would extremely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Norwich.

A substantial 5/6 bedroomed detached house set in a rural location surrounded by farmland. Private heated Indoor and Outdoor pool, Hot Tub and own Woodland set on 1.5 acres with treehouse, summerhouse and fire-pit. Inglenook fire place. Sky/BT Sport with surround sound. Bt broadband and 4g available
Welcome to Shepley House.. pride and joy for years and now for others to savour. Nestled off the beaten track but accessible for nearby shops, cycle ways, pubs and great walks lives Shepley House. Set in an area of about 1.5 acres, this country retreat offers more than you bargained for ! We are surrounded by a farm ! That means we get deer, hedgehogs, jack rabbits, hares, grouse and all of kinds of wildlife wondering in. Don't worry, they keep out of your way but if you are lucky you might see them. It's also an excellent spot for bird watchers so I am told. In fact, we have a viewing gallery in the midst of its own Woodland from where you can sit still and just listen out for wildlife, or hop down and cook something up in the firepit if your tummy's rumble ! For either on hot or cold days you can then enjoy the luxury of an indoor heated pool, have a dip, swim a few lengths (or just float about) and then retire to the hot tub and sip a cold drink or cup of tea. On warm days, why not open the side panel and retract the roof and get the sunshine on your back whilst you swim up and down... HOT TUB and POOL are 100% private to you and your group On cold winter nights, why not relax in the snug in front of a roaring fire and dry off whilst dinner is being prepared, or call out to one of our many outlets that can deliver to you. Or simply nestle into the lounge and watch or film or catch the latest game or play a dvd, a video game or just read a book...its all up to you. The nights are free from light pollution so it makes for great star gazing if this all becomes too much, just have a midnight stroll in the acre woodland and get lost in the gaze of the stars. If you have any further requirements, for example we can provide gazebo, entertainment, face painting, hog roast facilities etc, please get in touch for more details ! Please respect the environment PLEASE CAN ALL GUESTS REMEMBER TO BRING THEIR OWN SWIMMING TOWELS - WE WILL PROVIDE STANDARD TOWELS. Some rules... For hot tub and pool usage, please remove makeup and shower before use otherwise the quality of the experience will degrade. For those wishing to celebrate with confetti or other materials, no problem but is your responsibility to clean up please and failure to do so may incur an additional charge if it sticks PLEASE NOTE This is a rural location with the main attractions being this setting and other activities mainly relating to wet facilities. Hot tubs are rotated at parts of the year. Ease assume 4 to 6 seater availability depending on maintenance schedules. Broadband is provided but is subject to the whims of the telecoms provider and is not seen as a key feature of the stay. We have however recently installed a broadband network (SIM Wifi) which is accessible from the house and woodland - data can be purchased on demand, please contact our team for further details.
You have some truly great pubs nearby, the Crown, a mix of old and new in Great Ellingham. The Red Lion has incredibly friendly owners who will make you feel at home in Caston. The Waggon & Horses just further down from that will give you an old pub feel with pots and pans and good quality English fayre. Also if you go into Attleborough there are a couple of fantastic Indian eateries: One we recommend is the Shapla Tandoori where you will be treated like King & Queen !
  • The Jacuzzi under the stars is particularly special

  • A great place for friends to come together. The local pub is very welcoming and the store was well stocked.

  • This is my second time at Shepley House, this time for a family 40th birthday celebration. The house was perfect for our needs, with a large social space, expansive grounds and a fantastic hot tub! Everyone from teenagers to pensioners were happy and we will be back again soon.

    Nikki2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from 3 nights away with friends celebrating the New Year! It was the perfect house as it had a lovely big communal area and all of the bedrooms were a good size. We used both the pool and hot tub which were an excellent feature. The pool was warm enough for our 6 month old baby. Would definitely recommend!

    Lauren2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect, we all said how it reminded us of a french gite without having to travel so far. Mum was delighted with everything and really enjoyed having the whole family in one place. The house, the grounds and the catering setup was perfect for me to cook for 12 of us with no issues. We’ll definitely be returning for a longer stay in the future.

    Adrian2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great for large groups. The house is in a peaceful location. Our kids loved the pool, the hot tub and the massive garden. The house was incredibly clean. The sofas were very comfortable!

  • Gary was so easy to communicate with and answered all my questions ASAP. The house was fantastic, we had the best time ever! We want to visit Shepley once a year! The house is stunning as are the grounds and the pool & hot tub are outstanding, can't wait to book again!

CORONA UPDATE Sorry to say, but as of 18th March 2020, we cannot taking any bookings before August at the earliest, and even those will be subject to events and government advice. Solidarity and Good luck. Mike & Sheila "Like sleeping on a cloud." Perhaps an exaggeration, but this room has a very comfortable bed and a view over the neighbourhood toward the gothic tower of St. John's Cathedral. Plus a single bed.
A large, cosy attic room; way up high, overlooking the peaceful street and beyond to the nearby cathedral. With its low angular ceilings and eclectic decor, it's a perfect hideaway for a couple, or large enough for a small family. The king-sized bed has been described as like "sleeping on a cloud," and there's a single bed tucked under the sloping ceiling too. There is even enough room to inflate an air mattress in this room to accommodate a larger family - (Airbandb actually began business with an air bed). This quiet, characterful room also has a bureau desk which makes it an ideal space from which to catch up on work or study We also have two other double rooms listed on AirB&B - The Island Room and The Red Room.
Our neighbourhood is really the heart of Norwich City itself. Our house is only 10 minutes walk from the city centre with its colourful market, historic buildings, arty lanes, commanding castle and vibrant shopping heaven. Even closer to home we have Unthank Road village about 2 minutes walk down the road where you will find a Tesco Express, Adnams Beer & Gift Shop, The Blue Joanna Bistro, The charming Pear Tree Inn, the William & Florence Gourmet Pub, The Unthank Kitchen Café, Indian and Chinese takeaways, a Subway Sandwich Shop, newsagent, pharmacy, greengrocers, butchers, baker, but sadly no candlestick makers. There are also at least 8 other pubs with 5 minutes walk of our place, more beyond that. If pubs aren't your thing, there is the imposing neo-gothic Roman Catholic cathedral just down the road.
  • Lovely place to stay, is exactly as described

    Ian2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was really charming with loads of personal touches. Mike was so welcoming and made us feel like we were going home to our aunt and uncles place, not a stranger's.

  • Mike and Sheila are friendly and caring hosts. The room was comfortable and beautifully quaint.

  • Really charming house full of interesting bits & bobs, the hosts were incredibly friendly & helpful. The location is just a short walk from the city centre, very handy. Also loved meeting their lovely cats & dog 😊

  • Great overnight stay in Norwich's Golden Triangle. Mike and Sheila were incredibly warm and humurous hosts and I would recommend their place without hesitation.

Corona Virus: All surfaces, door nobs, switches, handles etc have been carefully disinfected for your safety. A 16c listed and part thatched cottage oozing character and history. Modern furnishings compliment revealed timbering, original beams and an inglenook fireplace with wood burner. In the heart of a friendly, quiet medieval village with 2 gastro pubs, coffee shop offering delicious homemade food and a general store closeby. Broads, seaside, walks, historic, cultural city & welcoming folk
The walls are full of original art and photography as well as quirky features around every corner. Painted in the traditional Norfolk colour pink, this is a listed building in a medieval conservation village full of historic features. The bedrooms have comfortable beds to accommodate up to 6 people as there is a spare bed that can be put up in the larger garden room ( that room would then accommodate 4 people in 1 room, a double and 2 singles). I have a cot bed for a baby. There's also a high chair, toys, books etc for children. For adults there are music and film dvd's, books and a barbecue in the garden. The owner has taken care to ensure that guests have every comfort during their stay. There are tv's in every bedroom and a large one in the living room as well as a dvd player and a music centre. The sun room provides a perfect private space to get away from it all and relax. Through the French Windows is a small veranda with seating and a herb garden. Beyond the veranda down a short but pretty pathway there is a sunny established garden where you can eat al fresco, barbecue, or just relax. The living room is colourful and cosy with a woodburning stove and comfortable contemporary seating. Behind an oak door there's a 'secret' stairway and on the back wall is the original bakers oven door. The bedrooms are individually designed to give a different feel to each space. The Poppy room with its deep red accents and Moroccan style lighting make this a warm and rich space to relax in. The Garden room is larger with a double and a single bed. This has more traditional English colouring in the furnishings with an original fireplace, a 'secret' staircase and a fabulous long window looking down onto the sun room and beyond. The bathroom has a walk in shower. If you need toiletries there’s lots in the cupboard on the landing you can use. If no one is coming after you I'm very happy for you to leave in the afternoon...maybe after lunch. Ask me if you're not sure or I'll let you know. Please be aware that the cottage is 16c therefore some areas like the landing have low ceilings. Mostly everywhere else is fine but if you’re tall you might need to be careful in a few areas in the cottage. You have sole use of the cottage. I live next door. I can now offer massage and therapy services who are happy to come to the cottage. There are 3 local therapists who offer different treatments. Contact them directly. Each has a phone number etc. Louise Thurgar I can offer reiki healing and Thai foot massage for your guests. The village is friendly and has an active community. It has its own castle ruins, a village green with a market cross building and a whipping post. There are wonderful walks all around the outskirts including the commons history can be traced back to the 12c. A number of orchids grow on the common as do huge and unusual fungi. It's also a great area for bird spotting. The village has 2 great gastro pubs (book ahead), a village general shop and a fantastic coffee shop selling home made sweets and savouries. I have a shop/stall on Norwich market at the top (nos 138/9) called 'The other Curator' selling quirky bohemian and vintage style fashion , jewellery and homeware. • Nice cosy cottage as described . Perfect to relax and unwind. Love the ambient lighting throughout

  • Gorgeous property in a nice village - perfect for the quiet few days away we needed. Loved the quirkiness of the layout and all the little details. There was everything we needed - the kitchen was particularly well equipped. We were able to cook at home easily. It was lovely sitting out having coffee on the little terrace and being able to walk the dog just around the corner. Caryn was a lovely and responsive host, with excellent sparkly shoes. Thanks for having us!

    Tamsin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Caryn for another fabulous stay in your lovely cottage.

    Deborah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky, old and homely. A very comfortable cottage with wood burning stove that was great in the evening while opening a bottle of something. Morning coffee in the ‘fairy room’ (as my daughter called it) was very tranquil. Thanks for a wonderful few days!

    Warren2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Caryn is a fantastic host, so helpful and accommodating. The cottage is beautiful and unique with lovely quirky touches. Well kept and clean. Great that you can bring your dog(s) as well.

  • Caryns place is very cosy and has pretty much everything one needs. We felt welcome and comfortable from the first minute and Caryn was helpful with what ever we needed. Highly recommend a stay at Caryns place

    Nicholas2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Caryn’s cottage was lovely. Caryn is really friendly and welcoming. The cottage is amazing and having the log burner is nice and cosy. The beds are comfy and the living room and sun room are gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need! We ate at the local pub (very near to the cottage) and this was good too.

    Cat2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • You have to stay here! Amazing, unique place which will make your trip. Caryn adds so much to it as well by being a legend of a host !!!

A cosy, two story annexe with fully functional kitchen, including a washing machine for guests sole use and cosy log burner in the living room. Guests are within walking distance of a fantastic gastro pub, should you not feel like cooking. https://www.theboars.co.uk Perfect for access to Wymondham and Norwich, or as a stop off on the way to the beautiful Norfolk Broads or beaches. Guests have off street parking directly outside the annexe.
Please note that the annexe has a stone staircase between floors and also low ceilings upstairs. I advise that owing to the stone staircase, this property may not be suitable if guests have young children who are mobile, or if any guests have vision or mobility impairment. The property has a free standing bath tub, but does not have a shower. I can provide a travel cot, or an extra single mattress if needed.
Spooner Row is a quiet rural town, however is within reach of the city of Norwich, which has many great restaurants and bars. I am happy to give recommendations. I also strongly recommend the local pub, The Boars, in Spooner Row https://www.theboars.co.uk
  • Lucy's annexe is cosy little property, brilliantly located for the Norfolk countryside. Lucy was quick to respond to my questions and went out of her way to provide me with bread and milk for my stay. Unfortunately, I had to shorten my stay, but Lucy was patient and understanding. I will particularly miss the comfortable bed and wood burning stove!

    Emily2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect peaceful getaway in the English countryside. It has lots of old charm, thoughtful touches, and is quiet. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable beds, natural beauty nearby, and amazing bathtub. If you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy a nice fire and have a bottle of wine (or two), look no further. We found Lucy to be the perfect host. She was very kind to us during our stay and was very responsive. We can't wait to come back.

  • Lovely little cottage just outside Norwich. Very attentive host, great communication. Highly recommended

    Matt2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really clean, quaint, very cute little place!

    Dylan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great three nights celebrating our anniversary at Lucy’s place. Well equipped and very comfortable. Log burning tips: use hardwood <20% moisture! Net bags from the garage just don’t burn! We topped up our hardwood logs and they’re just not the same. Love staying here, great location, excellent food just a short walk away and close to lots of places to visit. Highly recommend Lucy, top host - Thank you

    Andrew2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly beautiful and relaxing place to stay, just 8 minutes from Wymondham and 25 minutes from Norwich. It was nice and warm inside the annexe and the heat rose to the bedroom so there was no need to put the bedroom heater on. Everything you needed was there - ironing board, coffee machine, netflix, wood for the fire. Great big bath! Lucy provided butter, milk, cereal, bread. Great wifi. Easy check in/entry. Cute place that we would return to without a doubt.

    Hayley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and cosy place to stay, has everything you need to a high standard. I probably would only recommend for shorter stays though as not much space or natural light if wanting to work in the day time

    Phil2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in this cute little annexe. It is set in a beautiful location, surrounded by countryside (some really good walks). Lucy was very helpful throughout our stay and provided fast responses when required. We definitely want to stay again!

A wonderful countryside getaway set in a beautiful English country garden. This self-contained studio has everything a couple or business traveller could need in a wonderful 250 year old building with exposed beams. We include a basic breakfast in the room (tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, muesli, croissants, butter, jam and croissants). We love hosting guests from around the world and can't wait to welcome you too.
A warm and cosy timber framed studio, equipped with a comfortable double bed, a kitchenette for light self catering (microwave and mini-oven but no hob), and private shower room. Brand new luxury feather and down duvets and pillows for this winter for lovely cosy nights.
Lovely Norfolk village with a great pub, lots of open countryside and good walks. Near the market town of Wymondham and only 10 miles from the ancient cathedral city of Norwich.

  • Joe was a welcoming host and was as described. I loved the little touches inside and efforts to remain eco friendly. A lovely selection of breakfast options too. Huge field behind the garden for our dog Holly to stretch her legs. Thanks again - we will be returning.

  • Joe was a great host and the air bnb was lovely. It had everything that we needed and it was very comfortable. Joe was very flexible on check in and check out times which made the logistics of our trip a lot smoother as we didn't have a car. The air bnb was very clean and felt very welcoming. Thank you so much.

  • Lovely cottage, had everything we needed. Joe and his lovely wife were lovely. Excellent communication. Space is warm, bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Joe noted the low door to bathroom but my 6'3 hubby was more than able to cope. We would have no hesitation in recommending Joe's place. We would stay again.

Single room in a 1990s build house located in a quite cul-de-sac in the historic market town of Wymondham. Your room overlooks the rear garden that has a bit of a wildlife theme (wildflower 'meadow', native planted pond). The bell ringing at the Abbey can often be heard in the background, as can the whistle from the Mid-Norfolk railway.
The room itself is a small but perfectly formed single bedroom. There's a blackout blind to keep the morning sun from waking you, a chest of draws and large mirror, and side light in addition to the ceiling light. Towels areprovided.
The house is 5 minutes walk to Wymondham Abbey. Nearby is the Tiffey Trail with a path along the river. The town centre is 10 mins walk away, with all the usual amenities including cafes, tea/coffee shops, restaurants, shops, banks, public transport, tourist information, museum and a market on Fridays. There is also a good cycle shop 5 minutes walk away for those coming by/planning to use a bike. This is a cyclist's household and therefore cycle-friendly :)
  • A clean basic single room with comfortable bed and wardrobe space. The bathroom included a bath and very good over bath shower; also towel and shampoo were provided. A cereal breakfast with tea/coffee was included with a table in the kitchen to sit. There is parking space on the driveway.

This elegant and stylish Georgian townhouse is situated on a residential main road in Wymondham, famous for its historic Abbey. A ten minute walk takes you to the town centre with pubs, cafes and riverside walks. Only 7 miles south west of Norwich.
The house dates from around 1800 and was originally a farmhouse. It has lots of lovely original features and large rooms with sash windows, typical of the Georgian period. Your bedroom is light, airy and large, on the first floor with a very comfortable king size bed. It's decorated with a mixture of vintage and contemporary furniture. Your own private bathroom with bath and shower is just next door across the large landing and for your private use. The house is decorated in muted Farrow and Ball shades and has a relaxing feel. There is a lovely patio and garden which is a real sun trap in summer. If the weather is nice, you can have breakfast outside.
Wymondham is an old historic market town and is well placed to explore beautiful Norfolk with Norwich close by and the Broads and the scenic coast 45 minutes away. There are shops, pubs and cafes in Wymondham town centre, just ten minutes walk. Norwich is only 7 miles away or 15 minutes by car. We are conveniently situated near Kimberley Hall if you are attending a wedding or function there. Also nearby is the University hospital, the UEA, Lotus cars and the racing track at Snetterton.

  • Stopped one night to attend a friend's 70th birthday party in Wymondham and , luckily , Sharon's lovely house was a 5 minute walk away . Comfortable bed in a large room , tastefully furnished and a great bathroom about three times bigger than our own ! Excellent breakfast in another fascinatingly furnished room and it was a pleasure to meet Sharon and the very friendly Welsh terrier Murphy . Heartily and unreservedly recommended .

This is a lovely light filled and spacious room with an amazingly comfy king-sized bed! It's got an old fashioned wardrobe, nice old painted floorboards and beverage making facilities so that you can feel you are almost in your own little flat. Our house is a colourful arty sort of house, as recent guests have pointed out, and we are all friendly. I put breakfast things on the table (cereals, bread, crumpets, spreads, milk etc) so guests can help themselves if they want to.
I'm not sure what makes this place unique as I've lived here so long but quite a few people have told me that they like all the wallpaper (quite retro, apparently, according to an art school trio that filmed here!) and the cosy lounge....
This area is a favoured attractive residential area of Norwich with good access to the city centre, transport links and the hospital and University. It would be ideal for someone working temporarily at the hospital, UEA, or in the theatre or attending an interview (I ve had a few guests staying overnight for interviews the next day). Just around the corner is the popular Greengrocer's coffee shop (great for drinks and meals), a Coop store with really nice staff, an eclectic food, jewellery and brilliant organic cosmetics shop (run by the charming Francis) and there are also some delightful non-chain pubs close by. There is also a Tesco Express and another Coop store on Unthank Road. If you want a springtime stroll in the area, you'll find Heigham Park about 3 minutes from our door.

  • This place is sooooo nice. Clean and stylish room located in a wonderful little town. We talked with a local pub bartender (Feathers) and he was intrigued because he has never seen a tourist in the town. Ever. It was so nice to walk around and explore the town and the beautiful old church (Abbey) grounds. I could move here. I'm serious.

The property is an old cottage which is in the heart of Wymondham, very close to shops, cafes and pubs. One of the pubs, is one of the oldest pubs in the UK!! Wymondham Abbey is also very close which was thought to of been built in 1100. Wymondham has very good links to Norwich (nearest city) and transport is regular with the train station roughly a 10 minute walk away.
Please help yourself to tea and coffee and enjoy the benefits of having a lovely kitchen to use during your stay. Our only request is to please leave the property as you found it.
Very close to shops, pubs and cafes

Private room and bathroom, on the ground floor, in a 250-year-old converted barn which is surrounded by open fields. Parking on premises. Use of kitchen terrace if weather is kind. The historic market town of Wymondham, with its famous abbey, a good selection of pubs and restaurants, shops, cafes, riverside walks and a picturesque railway station, is two miles away. The area is a haven for cyclists, Norwich city is just over 10 miles away and the Norfolk Broads are within easy reach by car.
The tastefully-decorated bedroom is in the older part of the barn with a distinctive "rubble" brick and flint outer wall, built-in wardrobe, Lloyd Loom chair and vintage curtains. It looks out on to a charming flint-walled back garden. Tea and coffee facilities and a radio alarm are provided in the room. Extra blankets are available on request. The bathroom has a spacious shower and heated towel rail. Towels, soap and shampoo are provided. Hairdryer in room.
The barn is set in a peaceful, rural area surrounded by open farmland and woods and is accessed along quiet country lanes. Local wildlife to enjoy include a herd of deer, buzzards, wild ducks, owls and horses grazing in the field opposite. The area is popular with walkers, runners, cyclists and horse riders.

  • Unfortunately we had to cancel at the last minute due to Storm Ciara, however, Angela was very understanding and did not charge us for the second room that we had reserved. We hope to visit sometime later in the year.

  • Angela's place was amazing, pix are accurate. It had everything we needed. Upstairs, the bedroom was a really good size with comfortable bed and big bathroom with bath. We opted for the shower room which was great with good water pressure. Downstairs, there was a lovely living room and dining area where a continental breakfast was available. I loved the croissants! We would love to stay again. Thank you, Angela!

  • Perfect cosy country cottage! Beautiful sense of peace and relaxation in the beautiful Norfolk!

  • This is our second visit this year as we have family living nearby. The village was dressed for Christmas including the old windmill and church and Angela's place too. We had an extremely comfortable overnight stay.

  • Beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location

    Michael2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Angela’s place is a perfect gem of a place to stay attached to the post office itself and next to Angela’s house, but very separate and quiet. Although no kitchen, there is a breakfast feast, with coffee maker and fridge to enjoy meals in the dining area. There’s a separate sitting room too to relax as well. A great place for a mini trip away!

Norfolk boasts a number of notable sites for history buffs including The Gressinghall Farm and Workhouse Museum, and The Blickling, Holkham and Sandringham estates, which are all within easy reach also. You can be at the North Norfolk coast in 40 minutes where you can enjoy a range of lovely beaches, marshes and quays. Why not stroll along the Edwardian seafront and visit the pier at Cromer, go crabbing at Blakeney or perhaps take a ride along the coast from Sheringham on the North Norfolk Railway?. 40 minutes in another direction and you will be in Wroxham, the gateway to the Broads. Here you can join an organised tour or even charter your own day launch to drift along these beautiful waterways.
