Food Scene

Just outside the village on the road to Blairgowrie. It has a snug little bar room with the usual line of malts behind the bar, but also a full-blown restaurant serving classic Scottish fare.

Shopping

A tourist honey pot, but very nice for all that, and with a good range of shops (including excellent fish and chips, and a fine off-licence).

A lovely drive over the Glen Shee pass. Beautifully situated at the entry to the southern Cairngorms (and holding the record for the coldest recorded temperature in Britain). Balmoral's just outside.

A lovely drive up and over this pass (on the way to Braemar). It's also a ski area in season, and gives good access to some of the most accessible Munros
