Go for a walk on the Cape Cod Canal, enjoy the great views. Take Rt. 6A instead of Rt 6 and enjoy the scenery. Afterwards, get a drink at the Fisherman's View Restaurant, they have a rocking bar. Or drive back to Barnstable on 6A and get coffee at Nirvana Coffee.

There are several bike rental companies along the trail so go early to have your pick. At the Brewster end is both a restaurant and the Snowy Owl Cafe (exit from the Trail is marked). It’s a lovely ride but be careful because there are street crossings. Get more info and trail guides at https://www.mass.gov/locations/cape-cod-rail-trail

There is a high speed ferry from the Hyannis Harbor. You can walk to the ferry off Ocean Street in about 15 minutes. Once on the island you can walk or rent a bike. Lots of Historic homes and galleries. Plan on spending the day, the high speed ferry is an hour or so each way and it’s pricey so leave time do do everything you want in one day.
