I love Ancestral for its mix of Asian cuisine. It also has a neat little back bar that uncovered the concrete seats are heated, so you can order a cigar off the menu.

Getting Around

Swap your car keys for a Snapper card and cruise around Wellington on the Metlink buses. The No 3 Lyall Bay bus drops you on the bottom of Sutherland Rd and the No 23 Houghton Bay bus is caught from the bus stop at the top of the hill.
