City advice

What to pack

Umbrella

Vancouver gets a lot of rainy so pack an umbrella!
Getting around

Translink

If you're using public transportation, save money by grouping destinations to the same "zone" into one trip. More information can be found on the Translink pricing and fare zones website.
Ways to save

Tipping

Tipping is expected at sit-down restaurants (where a server takes your order and brings you the food), but don't feel pressured to tip the preset % on the machine! 15% is a good baseline for decent service (sometimes the preset starts at 18%). All servers are paid at least minimum wage, but tips help.
