The quintessential English village with a beautiful village green (and playground) adjacent to the Pilhill Brook. With wonderful local walks and nature at the doorstep. The village also boasts the award winning pub, The Hawk Inn - great for a drink and high quality food.

Amazing day out where you can get up close and personal with owls, vultures and hawks. The bird flying displays are not to be missed. Well worth a visit - and walking distance from the Barn.

A wonderful way to see the local countryside - a short walk uphill to the hill fort and then a circular walk around the perimeter. Great with dogs.

With its lovely shops, delicious cafes (Thyme and Tide and Woodfield are my top picks); Stockbridge is a lovely place to visit for a wander. The Common is wonderful for a walk - with or without dogs, and can be reached via a footpath from the high street (next to The Garden Inn). The Greyhound is a well respected local restaurant. Stockbridge is on the Test and is a meeting point for many of the fishing trips.
