The Russell Orchards property has a long history as a working farm. The first trees were planted in 1920 by Dr. Joseph Goodale as a pastime for his son. The orchard continued to thrive and was farmed successfully, with the fruit sold primarily at market in Boston. By the 1950's the farm was sold to the the Goodale family's farm manager Kenneth Macleod. Mr. Macleod operated a popular cider mill on the southern corner of the property, and the building can still be seen today from the road. Apple Picking, Pumpkins, Petting Zoo

Wolf Hollow is a 100% volunteer-operated non-profit wolf sanctuary supported solely by donations, adoptions, and proceeds from admission and gift shop sales. Since our founding in 1988, our mission has maintained a focus on the preservation of the wolf in the wild through education and exposure. Our visitors are given a unique opportunity to meet our resident gray wolves while enjoying an enlightening one-hour educational presentation, most engaging for ages 5 to 105. During this time visitors will observe the wolves interacting with their pack-mates at close range.
