It is a perfect place for sight seeing and for walking. There are walking tracks available for you. The Tasman Valley walking track is perfect for all, except you can't take a buggy if you want to take your little ones. It is 15- 20 mins stroll to the viewpoint of the Tasman Glacier terminal lake. There you can see the Glaciers and iceberg floating in the lake. If you fancy to walk 3 hours, you can try the Hooker Valley track, it is an easy walk and a great activity to do. At the end of the track you will see the stunning beauty of the Hooker Lake and the famous Mt. Cook.
