Walking down to the gorge at the base of the Niagara River is a really unique and spectacular way to experience the falls like a local. Don't forget to pack a lunch and your hiking boots. I do not recommenced doing this with small children or if you are not physically fit.
Starting May 15th 2020, there will be fireworks over the falls every Friday evening starting at 10pm.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a Wine Lovers dream. The craft beer scene is on the rise as well! This quaint little town offers upscale dining, wineries, breweries and plenty to do during the day! A few places stay open late but most wineries and breweries close at 6pm in the summer months. (Restaurants excluded)

Wayne Gretzky's Winery and Distillery is one of my favorite destinations! They offer wine, a patio, and an awesome beer garden. There are games and things to do with the kids and the the atmosphere is unlike any of the other wineries!

Twenty Valley (Beamsville, Lincoln, Jordan and Vineland) is another Beautiful Wine region. This area boasts a more mellow, and picturesque atmosphere. The wine is a bit pricier but the tastings rooms are smaller, there are minimal tour groups and the wines are spectacular!

Port Dalhousie was once a busy little place but investors bought up the land and have failed to make any improvements or condos like intended. It still boasts a nice little beach front with Volleyball nets and a famous Carousel that only costs a nickle! (5 cents)

A must if you are traveling with Kids! This little petting farm is well worth the 2 minute drive. Bring your quarters so you can get food pellets out of the machines to feed the animals. Pack a lunch so you can enjoy it on the picnic tables while the kids play on the playground. Don't forget to bring your camera. Afterwards, head down Stewart Rd to the Avondale Dairy Bar! This Ice Creamery makes Ice Cream on site and there are tons of flavours to choose from! Get your cones and head outside to let the kids swing on the swings:)
