City advice

Book before you go

Make your ferry reservation early when coming from Vancouver

There is no fee to make a reservation for the ferry from Vancouver and a very good idea to do in advance as it can get booked up fast. You can't make a reservation if coming from Victoria. If you choose to walk on from Vancouver you can make a reservation by calling and advised for long weekends. If the vancouver ferry to Mayne is fully booked, you can also do a thru fare booking, where you take a ferry from Tssawassen to Swartz bay and then swarts bay to village bay mayne island (takes longer )
