City advice

Getting around

Marietta is a very friendly and walkable town

Most sites are a few blocks from the city parking lot under the Putnam St. bridge on Front St. There is also CABL bus line (for a schedule visit wmcap.org/transportation).
What to pack

Casual is the norm and bring a good pair of walking shoes.

Biking and hiking trails abound as well as the Ohio River water trail.
Don't miss

This is a town of Festivals, 5Ks and events

Check Marietta Mainstreet for up to date calendar of events. There is something going on every weekend during the spring, summer and fall. Marietta Main Street https://www.mariettamainstreet.org
Useful phrases

Be prepared to leave the hustle behind.

Bring good walking shoes If you like antiques, leave extra space in the trunk or bring an extra suitcase. Although we are not isolated, there are not a lot of large chain stores or malls within a 2 hour drive. Few liquor stores in town but The Cork & Bottle is across the river in West Virginia and The House of Wine is a short drive just north of town.
