This is a great place for a day out. There are so many special events through the year which are always suitable for families. The restaurant is good or take a picnic and enjoy the sun.
This is a real gem. They have a great variety of performances and it is very friendly and low key. Nice little bar too. Luckily Cardigan has seen the arrival of several good restaurants recently and the fish and chip shop just near the theatre is very good.

There is a lovely 70 minute or so walk around the head here at Dinas. There is a pub near the car park too. Newport itself which is a short drive away ha several good cafes and a great butcher.

Really god sandy beach surrounded by the countryside.
You can walk up from a lovely beach to the castle ruins. Great views here.

This is such a lovely garden to visit . Quite low key really and lots to engage with. It's about a 35 minute drive from Ty Carreg. There is a very nice cafe as well.

City/town information
This is our closest small town. It is very much 'old school' as most of the businesses are owned by local families. There is a lovely short walk around the castle remains next to the river Teifi. Newcastle Emlyn has a great deli, a very good health food shop, a new Co-op, a butchers and a bakery. There are also several gift shops and charity shops along with 2 antique shops. There are at least 4 cafes and you can certainly find a good place to have lunch.
