A bit of a trek to the top, but worth it with panoramic views - in good weather you can see the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and beyond.

No visit in the summer would be complete without a trip to the famous West Witterings and it's sandy dunes. Be sure to pre-book your parking to avoid disappointment. Child Safe Wristbands are available at the lifeguard tower.

Kingley Vale is an ancient woodland with absolutely enormous 2000 year old Yew Trees. It's a fabulous place for a good old hike, and lots of excellent tree climbing for little ones

Less than 2 minutes walk from our house, award winning food and great selection of gins (don't miss their gin of the week!). Not cheap, but a lovely treat. Have always welcomed our small children with a smile.

City advice

Travelling with kids

Lavant Playground

There is a great playground for kids in the village. Turn right out of our front door and walk through the covered gate after the bridge (before the church) and follow the road until you reach it on your right. Approx 5-10 minute walk (depending on how often your children stop to pick up feathers and watch ants)
