Just down the road, there's a beautiful falls with hiking trails. No admission to get in and there's a good size parking lot with a portable toilet on site. Near the falls, there are picnic tables. Great photo opp

This beautiful board walk takes you right over Lake Vernon! In one section you can dive right off the boardwalk and take a swim. The trail leads you through to Avery Beach, through an orchard with places to picnic and is just a great way to spend a few hours exploring! you can see the old structures in the water from the docks where boats came to deliver. The train station is in this area as well.

In the town of Emsdale, there is a community park with a covered ice rink in the winter. Great place for some pick up hockey/skating!

Dog park just around the corner!

If you are travelling with your dog during the year (except July and August) there is a dog park on Homeland Drive which is just a couple of minutes down the road. The entrance to the dog park is across the road from the community beach on Clear Lake.
