Parks & Nature

You won't find many swimming pools with views like this! Olympic aize public pool located right on the beach at Lincoln Park. Swim in constant 82 degree saltwater from the first day of summer to Labor Day and watch the ferries sail off across Puget Sound towards the Olympic Peninsula. You'll have to walk, bike or skate 1/2 mile to get there but it' s a 'unique Northwest experience' you won't forget!

Everything Else

Take the Washington State Ferry from Fauntleroy to Vashon Island for the day or just over and back at sunset. Just a 20 minute ride, either on foot or by car, will take you to this rural island in the middle of Puget Sound. The village has quaint restaurants and shops and a Saturday Farmer's Market. May has the Norhwest Sheepdog Trials and July offers the Strawberry Festival. Another unique Northwest experience!
