Pretty much the best view you'll ever get of Mt. Rainier and this area. On clear days, you can see Rainier, Adam's, St. Helen's, and even Mt. Hood. 360deg views. A bit strenuous, pretty much all uphill, but only about a mile or so up. Worth it! Take insect repellent.

Food Scene

American-style food, loud music, local favorite. Really good homemade pie, especially the coconut cream. On Wednesdays get crunchy tacos for $1 each. Not authentic, but cheap! We also love the Sunday nigh steak dinner for $13.

Good pizza, and we love the fried pickles. The best deal is their ongoing special, which is a Large 3-topping. Bonus tip: if you want a large Hawaiian, order it as a special with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and extra cheese. It's cheaper this way!

New, and bit more sophisticated and upscale than much of what you'll find in the area, but with very reasonable prices. Delicious! Pastries, too! A mix of familiar favorites and foreign dishes.
