Beaches

Voted in the top 20 beaches of Europe. This beach is breathtakingly gorgeous and a visit to Gower is not complete without a walk here. Beware if swimming, there is very strong rip on this beach and it can be very dangerous. Always avoid swimming at the mouth of the river.

Around from Three Cliffs Bay you will find the beautiful cove, Pobbles. A less exposed beach with safer swimming spots. Great for familes.

Lovely bay that is easy to access with parking close by. There are toilets, shops and a restaurant on the beach front. A nice one for little ones as this beach has life guards. During the summer expect it to be very busy here on a hot day.

Gorgeous beach. At low tide you can explore the coves and caves, little ones love it. Take your buckers and fishing nets to investigate the rock pools! No facilities here and one of the slightly less touristy beaches.

A pebbley beach. A beautiful walk through the woods and valley will get you here. Access is steep and there are no facilities. But it's worth it for its peacefulness and beauty. One of our favorites to have an evening BBQ.

Food Scene

Plant based cafe serving the most delicious wholesome food. Perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or a coffee and cake. Everything is homemade and made from scratch with quality ingredients - I can vouch for this as have previously worked here. I'd recommend an acia bowl and a tumeric latte 😍

The most magical of walks on the Northen side of Gower. Park in Cwm Ivy and pay in the honesty box at the gate, walk down through the pine forest and over the burrows, if you're lucky you'll see the wild ponies grazing in their herd. You then walk along the long and exposed beach to the lighthouse. Check the tides, and only ever walk on a low tide as the lighthouse is in an estuary that can rise very quickly! I do this walk lots with my daughter but it is a long one, for little legs! There is a gorgeous cafe in the village of Cwm Ivy. Serving hot drinks, yummy food and cakes. One of my favorite walks and stop offs! The Britania pub on your way home also serves in my opinion, the best home cooked pub grub on Gower. Also in my guidebook.

Definitely worth a visit! The sunsets here are award winning and voted one of the best in the world. During the summer there are sunflower fields which you can walk around. For the walkers, on a low tide you can walk the worm. A scramble but worth it for the amazing views. Always check the tides with the RNLI hut before you cross and plan your walk. It isn't as easy as it looks!
