The Mount is the iconic landmark in West Penwith. Privately owned, the family still live there. But they now share it with the National Trust so you can get in with your National Trust membership. Worth signing up locally to visit other sights and access parking in some areas.

I would absolutely recommend a day trip to these stunning islands. Take the 2 hour Scillonian ship over, where you often see dolphins en route, or if you want more time there are plenty of flights from lands end airport. Or even more fancy, if you’re feeling flush, take the helicopter from Penzance heliport. Enjoy the island’s slow life, walking and taking in the scenery.

Historic venue. Hand built into the side of the cliff, this outdoor theatre is a must see. Try to catch a show, but if not possible you can just look around and enjoy an afternoon tea in the cafe.

Voted in the Guardian top 10 beaches this place is a stunner. Beautiful cliff top walks along the south west coastal path. It is a bit of a scramble down so only venture with capable risk aware children.
