Great short hike to swamp bay and Mt Rooper. About 3 to 4 hours will get you to both locations and back to the car. Take off from the gravel carpark about 500m before Shute Harbour itself. If you hear some noises in the scrub as you walk..... ignore them, the reptiles all seem to take off.

Nice day trip and free use of their facilities when you're there. they have an IGA for cheaper food. Return trip can be expensive with Cruise Whitsundays but worth checking for specials.

Try out the man-made beach on the incoming or high tide for best results. It's really nice on a hot day and safe. Look for the yacht club on Coconut Grove to locate it.
