Local restaurants that I can personally recommend
As someone who has worked in hospitality for years I pride myself in being some what of a foodie. I have chosen these places because they stand out for food and service. There are other local places to grab a bite that are decent of course and I am happy to chat about any others that take your fancy! I highly recommend booking a restaurant in advance if dining out is part of your plan as for a small town the restaurants get fully booked in advance!
I Love it here, fresh food, great wine and friendly service. Also a great view of Viking bay. You need to book to get a table most evenings but day time is quite flexible. They serve English wines and small plates of fresh local food.

This place only opened in May 21 but has made quite an impression on the Broadstairs food scene. It is a Mediterranean style restaurant serving small and large plates of amazing seafood and other locally sourced fresh ingredients. I recommend boking a seat at the counter as you get to interact with the theatre kitchen. Book at least 2 weeks in advance to get a table here for a weekend dinner.

The “sometimes” longish wait is worth it! No bookings taken here you have to wait for a table - it’s a bit different, casual and cool but food is very tasty! Small plates mostly seafood.

Parks & Nature
I love it here, enough space for everyone on the beach. This is the beach that the locals of Broadstairs prefer. Watch out for rocky areas though, I would say rock shoes a must if going swimming. Great for morning paddleboarding or afternoon surfing at high tide. You can BBQ after 6pm.
