Barog Railway Station is the most picturesque on theentire route of Kalka Shimla Railway which is now a UNESCO World Heritage. Also Barog tunnel is the largest on this route and is known as the straightest tunnel in the world. It is a must visit sight for anyone who visits Barog.

It has 54 small cells that were used to house the Indian/Irish/Gorkha soldiers who rebelled against the British and were later executed here only. The museum's exhibits mostly consist of pictures and militaria. If one is interested in Indian-British history then a visit to this jail is definitely worthwhile.
