We are inundated with springs in Florida. This gem is about 15 - 20 minutes from our house. When it is cold here, manatees swim to the springs which remain at 72 degrees year round. You can also rent kayaks here and visit the original homestead which is set up as a museum.

If you enjoy sushi and Thai food (we do!) then Oudom is a MUST. Located in charming downtown Deland where you can have a lovely stroll and visit the shops, restaurants, and bars.

Do you like BBQ? Then head on over to Sanford, about 40 minutes away. While you are there, have a nice walk around the downtown area. There are lots of unique shops, restaurants, and bars. It is located right on Lake Monroe and there is a lovely trail along the lake which is well-lit when it gets dark.
