City advice

Ways to save

Water - just use water from the tap.

Dont buy water, the tap water is as good as it gets. Just fill up your water bottles before leaving for the day.
Ways to save

Food is expensive in iceland.

Food is expensive in iceland, the cheapest supermarkets are called Bónus and Krónan and you can find them both in Selfoss, a town situated roughly 30 minutes from here and one which you most likely passed through on your way here
Ways to save

Cheaper alcohol

If you like to have a glass of wine or a cold beer after a day of travelling, we recommend buying alcohol in the duty free store at the airport, as alcohol is quite expensive in Iceland and only sold in special liquor stores (Vínbúðin).
