My favorite store ever. Anything outdoors and indoors from camping to skiing to accessories to fleece to sweater to tee to dog leash to hat to trail mix to socks to bikes to jacket to boots to backpacks to racquetballs... The basement is entirely used or second label and gear and stuff and clothes and everything great is to be had for 10-90% off. Prepare to be amazed.

A local favorite. Expect a wait, but it is worth it. A family member here swears by their omelettes.

The original scoop shop! The smell of freshly made waffle cones is dreamy. Sit in a VW bus and eat your ice cream, buy a cool souvenir... it's a cool spot.

We now have this in Stowe, but it remains a great spot to eat. Wonderful pizza. So good, it became a national enterprise, complete in your grocer's freezer section. Now have it in the state where it started. Open for lunch/dinner. (Please check everything, times, locations, etc -- this was at the time of writing and everything changes!)

To Do

Much-loved science museum for kids. I have never been, so I cannot personally recommend. But I've heard lots of good things.

A oretty walk. Save this for warm weather. 4th of July, traditionally the eve of the 3rd, is really fun here.

The exact address is the Shelburne Recreation Ctr Beachnon Beach Rd in your GPS. In the summer, for $5 an hour, you can swim here at the beach and swim out for 45 min intervals to go play on a giant floating blow up thing with multiple slides, a trampoline, a climbing wall, a launching pad, and a slippery walkway. It's fun for kids and adults alike.
